The Hat and The Hair Animated: Rerun ep 55

by | Apr 23, 2025 | Hat and Hair | 100 comments

This episode is another one of my favorites. Anytime I have an idea that pushes me to create a more dynamic cartoon than usual I like the challenge, as long as it’s not too challenging. This episode took place after the raid on Mar-A-Lago, I thought what if one of the characters was accidently taken in an evidence box. Since I didn’t want to risk one of the main characters that would get me stuck into a story arc, I chose USA Hat, because he has the most personality out of all the other hats. So, I went to work imagining what this dimwit would do waking up to find himself in an FBI evidence room. I had fun labeling all the boxes, and first go around it seemed some viewers liked catching those Easter Eggs.

Nice. Not sure if I caught this one first time.

    • R.J.

I remember the whole story arc. I hope he plays it in the coming weeks.

Act now or you’ll be sorry!

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

UCS, what was that book on oils for cooking that you were thinking of getting, the one that was a bit pricy?

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

        Thank you very much!

      • UnCivilServant

If I may – why do you ask?

      • J. Frank Parnell

“If you can afford only one book on oils and fats, their composition, processing and use, then this should probably be the one!”

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

I mentioned it to the wife, and she was very interested.

    I have Big First energy.

    • Sean

      Not big Altima energy?

    • Fourscore

Finishing first may not always win a prize

    • Aloysious

Since you have so much energy, can I hire you to wash my truck? It’s dirty.

None of the neighborhood kids will, because I insist the inside of the tires get washed with distilled water. Makes it go faster.

      • Brochettaward

What kind of libertarian doesn’t have orphans to do such a thing for him?

    • Spudalicious

      And Bro disappoints her again.

    Strenuously Concurs.
    Or even rum.

It’s good with both. Also, I wood give it to Winston’s Mom by the pitcher. It’s so good, maybe she would give me a discount.

    • pistoffnick (370HSSV)

I don’t think Winston’s Mom gives discounts. Unless, maybe, you are a frequent customer.

    • Akira

I didn’t get along with vodka for a while, probably because it was my drink of choice in my high school delinquent days, and I associate it with barfing.

I gave it a chance though and found that a thoroughly chilled glass of straight vodka can be nice, especially with some pickles, herring, buttered rye bread, and other things that those Russians drink with it when they’re not inTeRFeRinG iN eLecKsHunZ!!!11

      • Gustave Lytton

That was me and tequila. Was years before I could enjoy a margarita.

      • slumbrew

TBF, when we(?) were young “good” tequila was Cuervo Gold.

That is now (properly) bottom-shelf booze.

      • Akira

I guess tequila is the next liquor with which I should sign a peace treaty… I didn’t barf it up dozens of times, but that’s only because I never drank it much at all. I’ve tried Cuervo, Herradura, 1800, and a few others, and I didn’t find much to appreciate there. Someone even gave me Patron at a party once and insisted that it’s the best liquor ever. They all just taste very rough and cheap to me. Even the best tequila I’ve tasted was still not as enjoyable as an average whiskey.

What brands do you guys think are good (besides the ones I’ve listed)?

      • slumbrew

I’m nota regular tequila drinker and prefer the smokiness of mezcal, but:

It’s a “celebrity” brand, but I’ve enjoyed Casamigos very much. Same for Dos Hermanos.

I’ve liked the Milagro I’ve had, too.

  8. Yusef drives a Kia

Im about to read some hard core lefty bullshit, I wont pass along the links, but here’s the first sentence,
“The resumption of involuntary student loan repayments for federal borrowers in default”
    Pray for me….

    • UnCivilServant

      Involuntary…

You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.

      • whiz

Yes, like anybody was going to pay off their debt without being asked to.

      • Yusef drives a Kia

Thats the reason for the quote, try that private sector and get sued,

      • Yusef drives a Kia

        You mean like a car?

    • Yusef drives a Kia

FTA, Linda McMahon, as if its a bad thing,
“I am announcing the end of this dishonest and irresponsible policy. We will conform the department’s repayment options to federal court decisions and end the Biden-era practice of zero-interest, zero-accountability forbearances that are pushing borrowers into loan delinquency and default. On May 5, we will begin the process of moving roughly 1.8 million borrowers into repayment plans and restart collections of loans in default. Borrowers who don’t make payments on time will see their credit scores go down, and in some cases their wages automatically garnished.

Why? Not because we want to be unkind to student borrowers. Borrowing money and failing to pay it back isn’t a victimless offense. Debt doesn’t go away; it gets transferred to others. If borrowers don’t pay their debts to the government, taxpayers do.”

      • Yusef drives a Kia

I couldnt take it anymore, every lefty trope was included, no answers, just the world sucks and its OMB!
        How do these people function?

  9. Ownbestenemy

I just don’t see how Edmonton is a playoff contender when their whole team is two players.

Being a west coast team fan is tough when you live in the east.

    • slumbrew

Things keep going like this, that question will be resolved soon (“they’re not”)

      • Ownbestenemy

McJesus and Crysitel have the Kings number though…We will see though, Kings rolling 3.5 lines on their way to complete 4 lines might be enough.

BREAKING: Judicial Watch received 163 pages of records from the NY State Dept of Environmental Conservation in a lawsuit which show authorities had planned to euthanize a squirrel named “Peanut” & a raccoon named “Fred” before they were seized

    • UnCivilServant

Yeah, I saw that earlier today.

      The DEC is evil.

      • Ownbestenemy

So the whole “I was bit so we had to euthanize” was all bullshit. When will people realize the State will and does lie to you always.

      • slumbrew

        Damn. Evil fucks.

        I predict zero consequences.

      • Ownbestenemy

Im leaning on they video taped it and all beat off it the animal snuff film

      • Gustave Lytton

I won’t take that bet. Fuckers.

  11. UnCivilServant

    I’m in line.

What are the odds that it will sell out before my turn comes along?

    100%? 200%?

    • Gustave Lytton

      Allocated bourbon? 98%.

      • Ownbestenemy

        Brittney Spears tickets? 0%

    • UnCivilServant

Or the site could complete flake out and potentially kick me out of line

      • UnCivilServant

It’s going nuts with anti-bot checks, which the bots probably have an easier time with.

      • UnCivilServant

I’m going to say I won’t be able to buy one until September when the third production wave arrives.

      • UnCivilServant

I lost my spot, so I’m back at the end of the line.

        I hate computers.

      • Gustave Lytton

        Sounds like Ticketmaster, circa 2003.

      • UnCivilServant

I wish it could tell me how many million people are ahead of me.

    • UnCivilServant

      🤬🤬🤬

      It just keeps flipping out.

Tell me you’re sold out already so I can leave.

      • UnCivilServant

Apparently, I must be a bot, otherwise I might be allowed to give them money.

My new estimate is September – of 2032

      • UnCivilServant

Well, they finally sold out while I was clicking “checkout”

    • UnCivilServant

How many fell to the bots and scalpers?

    • Akira

      Fuck those racist pseudo governments.

It’s one of the biggest things keeping Native Americans in the cycle of dependence and poverty. Stossel had a good piece on it 8 years ago:

Aaand fucked up the quote tags. I need to reinstall the Monocle extension; it seems to have disappeared sometime during my long absence.

A tower made of empty liquor bottles should do it.

  12. Evan from Evansville

Hey, reprobates. Anyone here? I was out and Mom kept calling me. I strongly disapproved and told her such.

Was ‘out’ for the first time in forever. Was worth it and will continue the tradition.

    • Ted S.

      Nope, nobody’s here.

    • The Gunslinger

      I wasn’t here, but I’m here now.

    • Ted S.

I’ve been up since 3, toots.

      • UnCivilServant

Perhaps you should get more sleep.

      • Ted S.

        I’m not complaining.

      • UnCivilServant

Well, it’s certainly nothing to brag about.

    • rhywun

      Nice pick. 🤘

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, homey, Stinky, U, Ted’S., and Sean!

      • Tres Cool

One more day here and then its…..back to Cleveland
        Then hopefully home.

      • Gender Traitor

So far, so good. I have another PT appointment this morning. I’m still limping some from the messed up quads after my knee popped a couple of weeks ago, but I can tell the leg is getting better, as are the sore hips I originally sought PT for. Boss will be back at work today, so I’ll probably have to stop dragging my feet and start writing up this month’s Board meeting minutes.

        How are you?

      • UnCivilServant

I’m in for a rough day – it’s all meetings with so many disparate topics, that my head is going to hurt, even before I crash from sleep deprivation.

My brain has somehow convinced itself that the Judge has focused on nitpicking my paperwork to find an excuse to deny the application, and tomorrow will be as much of a disappointment as last night.

      • Gender Traitor

One more day here and then its…..back to Cleveland

        Hang in there, homey!

      • Gender Traitor

…as much of a disappointment as last night.

I had to go back and see what had happened last night. I’m sorry about your frustration. 😟

      • UnCivilServant

I should never have gotten invested.

There’s still the potential of getting a preorder in during May from Nintendo directly, but their verbiage is unclear as to whether I qualify.

      • UnCivilServant

Of course I’m bleeding. All I did was bump my hand on my chair. But I hit just wrong.

      • Gender Traitor

        Worker’s comp claim! 😃

      • UnCivilServant

To make a claim you need to have lost work and/or incurred some form of expense. One piece of facial tissue to stop the bleeding is so small I’d not even get a hearing.

      • Gender Traitor

        Awwww! It didn’t even need a Band-aid? 😞

      • UnCivilServant

It’s on the knuckle, getting a bandaid to stay in place would be a pain.

      • Sean

        Morning!

      • Gender Traitor

        THERE you are!

  14. DEG

    Mornin’

Upper 30s here this morning in southern NH as I leave for the gym. Then after the gym I will have to decide which is more productive – hitting my head against the wall or my job.

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, DEG! It’s 57 here in SW OH. Hope some of this warmth is coming your way.

  15. Tres Cool

At least it’s mighty fine weather for stack testing. I was just watching my crew slathering on sunscreen- gonna be mid 80s and sunny today.
My old, fat, ass remains in a trailer with the instruments.

    • Gender Traitor

Tell your crew that what you’re doing will be their future reward for not falling off stacks.

    • Sean

IDGAF. This lawfare bullshit has to end.
