One Woke, One Right, one Future.

“We groped painfully in our minds, not only to find justifications for the line laid down, but also to find traces of former thoughts which would prove to ourselves that we had always held the required opinion.”

-Arthur Koestler. Darkness at Noon.

The January 6th election riot of Trump supporters on Capitol Hill was wrong, stupid, and unhelpful. One woman was shot and killed by a Secret Service officer. And at least four others have died during the day’s events. The actions that day mirror the BLM riots; wrong, stupid, and unhelpful. And at least a few people were killed in those riots, though no one was shot by police officers as far as I know.

I have been told that Trump said something just awful, that he was endorsing riots or some such. I am not sure, see, as I don’t really hear “dog whistles”. Besides, my ears are still ringing from the harpies screeching about the BLM riots and Trump in general.

“The thing that critics of activists don’t get is that they tried playing the “polite language” policy game and all it did was make them easier to ignore. It wasn’t until they made folks uncomfortable that there was traction to do ANYTHING even if it wasn’t their full demands”– Alexandria Ocasio Cortez 12/2/20

For the hearing impaired: “They’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop,” she told him. “This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop before Election Day and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. And everyone should take note of that. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.” (emp. added)

Or how about Nancy Pelosi:

“I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be when people realize that this is a policy that they defend,” (again, emp. added)

I mean, didn’t they just say, per the above, that this is A-fuckin’-OK?

No?

I mean, they are women, aren’t they roaring? What is the phrase these days, Yas Queen? Maybe Slay Queen? Or does holding a woman to something she said make me a racist? Wait, racist does mean holding a person to something they said, right?

I tend to take people at what is normally called face value. I do not try to read into something, call things Dog Whistles, take only my own interpretation of events. I am a firm believer in Occam’s Razor; “entities should not be multiplied without necessity”, or the simplest explanation is usually the right one.

You see, I am not the type to say that, for instance, people against abortion are only doing it because they want to keep women down. No, they think it is murder, they say as much and so far I have been shown nothing contrary to that. But I have seen some abortion advocates state, without showing any evidence of it, that people who are against abortion are only doing it, for one thing, to keep women down. Often, they add that it is only old white men. Which belays the information staring them in the face: that 41% of pro-life supporters are women. We can only guess as to the reasons for such denial, but it does not make it any less a denial of facts. Nor does it make them particularly reliable when it comes to other political opponents, such as Trump.

So, when they say that Trump has implied or dog whistled something, I take what they said as bullshit. If they had actual proof, a quote that was unequivocally showing what they say it does, they would present the quote. But every time it is words that can be taken any which way that the listener wants. Unlike two of the three above, AOC and Kamala Harris. The two of them were unequivocally for the riots, destruction, and deaths that happened this summer. Which includes a Federal courthouse. So, should I read into the quotes that they are advocating sedition, by the transitive power? I mean, that is what we are being told to think about Trump right now, what with his supposed comments.

One other thing has struck me, over the last two months, and that is where would Trump get the idea that claiming, correctly or otherwise, that the election had been a fraud?

Yes, a Democrat getting time on national television, lying about elections. And this went on in various forms for the entirety of the Trump presidency:

  • Questioner: “He is an illegitimate president in my mind….He’s illegitimate and my biggest fear is he’s going to do it again…”
Biden: “Folks, look, I absolutely agree.”
  • Hillary Clinton: “I believe he knows he’s an illegitimate president.”
  • Jimmy Carter: “I think the [Russian] interference, although not yet quantified if fully investigated would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016.”
  • John Lewis: “I do not see the president-elect as a legitimate president.”
  • Link to “ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT” bumper sticker:

  • “Dozens of Democrats to skip ‘illegitimate’ president’s inauguration; Trump backers decry ‘tantrum’” (Washington Times story, January 16, 2017)

And what price did Adam Schiff, or for that matter any other of these Democrat bigwigs pay for these lies? Nothing. But we feel that Trump somehow is above? below? the lessons taught every day by the cable networks who daily carried water for the democratic party under the guise of news; CNN or MSNBC. Or the New York Times. Or NPR. Or, well, you take your pick, it is all one gossip rag at this point.

Now, let us think a moment about one of the last times that the building had been met with violence; in March 1971, a little over a month after I was born, a bomb was detonated inside the building where Congress meets. After a six-year investigation, it was determined that the culprits were a leftist group of terrorists known as the Weather Underground. And it should be remembered that these selfsame terrorists had assassinated and bombed across the United States during the tumultuous Sixties and Seventies, starting in the wake of the riots of ‘68. Many members have done time by this point, including Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers. These bombers and “terrorists” have since been jailed, pardoned, become professors, written books. So, actions much worse that what we saw the other day seem to have been no hindrance to others, why should it be a hindrance now?

So, did Trump say something? Yes, he always does. Did it offend the Mandarin class? Yes, like everything he says does. Did Trump learn it from his political opponents?

Yes, he did.
