Part One

Last time we looked at Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs. This time, we’ll go through cars at the museum which aren’t Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs.

Did you know a lot of cars used to be made in Indiana?
Charles H. Black made this car after driving his neighbor’s Benz. He completed it sometime between 1891 and 1894.
1899 Waverley Stanhope Phaeton. This is the earliest known example of the Indiana Bicycle Company’s electric powered Stanhope Phaeton.
1908 McIntyre Model M.

1926 Cunningham Sport Touring
1929 Lincoln Model L Brougham. This car passed through several different hands, but was never driven much. It was donated to the museum in 1972 with only 12,000 miles on it.
1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe. This car marks the end of V-12 production in the United States.
In front is a 1963 Jaguar E-type. The red car in back is a 1951 Jaguar XK120.
1979 Beuhrig Coupe. This is the last car Gordon Beuhrig designed. The plan was to make 50 cars, but only four prototypes were produced. This is the first prototype.

That’s all for this installment. In the next installment, we’ll go next door into the National Auto & Truck Museum.
