France’s Macron Calls “Emergency Meeting” for European Leaders Over Trump

Bitchass Macron: “This guy is not falling or going along with our racket to fleece US tax payers! Quick, what do we do next”

I love how they’ve had years to so something like this, including access to Biden, the smartest and wisest president ever, and they do this only now that Trump is threatening to bring an end to the war.

Vance sends shockwaves through Europe with warning about censorship, political intolerance

When you tell people that have chosen to align themselves with the devil that that is what they have done, they are not going to be happy with you….

The Euro leaders are truly a cabal of aristocrat scumbags that want to go back to the feudal system of the 1800s.

    • SDF-7

I hope they have all the success of the French Bourbons and we stay just as much out of it.

I am glad Vance called out their anti-democratic actions to their face. It implies there’s a line their approaching that will break the alliance, maybe they’ll listen.

What JI says. Our own leaders have been trying to reverse that since before the ink was dry on our constitution. It is time to pull down the edifice of slavery and plunder they have managed to erect. I never thought I would see it but it looks like there is a good chance that may happen.

In both cases — go for it Euros. Do what you want, just don’t drag us into it.

If Macron’s meeting amounts to — “Hey, they’re serious… we better get on track with defense spending, our NATO obligations — and hey, Germany… can you shut the hell up about wanting to jail Musk for a bit? Merde!” that’d be great. If it is “How do we keep doing the crap we’re doing and try to dodge consequences — I look forward to us dropping the alliance (really, I would… I just don’t think it is likely even though I think the UN and NATO have lost a solid core of support here these days… I want to say enough to matter, but who knows with the mess polling is).

If Z’s grifting gets the Euros to arm up, defend themselves and defend Ukraine… that’s their business. None of our funding should go that way.

Morning, Banjos! Thanks for the creepy robot Washington eyes there….

UK Willing to Send Peacekeeping Troops to Ukraine, Says Prime Minister

Notice how ignored this guy is by both Trump and Putin. The adults are having conversations about normalizing relations right now without the Euros. Ukraine is just a side issue to be resolved.

The UK doesn’t have an army worth mentioning compared to the scale of this war. A scrapped together brigade would be ground up in a week. Meanwhile their Navy would become a legitimate target and much of it would end up at the bottom.

Anyone watch 60 Minutes last evening? They interviewed a “conservative Republican and former administrator of USAID” who is currently a professor at Texas A&M who claimed that USAID was “the most accountable aid agency in the world. 40% of the staff are accountants and lawyers to make sure no money is stolen”. Hahahaha…… What gives 60 Minutes? Why not look into a few of the more egregious claims of fraud and waste uncovered by DOGE and see if they are true? Instead 60 Minutes also took offense at Musk calling the USAID staff “worms”. Figures.

“Nazis ‘Weaponized’ Free Speech to Conduct the Holocaust”

I saw a video a few months ago where someone investigated the Nazi party platform. Before they were elected, there was no anti-Semitism in their campaign materials and speeches. It was all basically nationalism. It wasn’t until after they were in power that you saw anti-Semitic propaganda.

But this time, we want government censorship be cause the right people are in charge.

    • Ted S.

Wasn’t Mein Kampf fairly clear about what Hitler wanted to do with the Jews???

Mein Kampf makes Das Kapital sound coherent, and that takes some doing. It’s basically a semi-literate 700 page long rant against the Jews, and others, who have “conspired against Hitler and Germany”

I would concur with that comparison between Mein Kampf and Das Kapital. Karl Marx was an absolute idiot that was angry at the world for not recognizing the brilliance he saw in himself. Hitler was a fucking asshole that wanted to blame others for his misfortunes. Both created murderous cults that are with us still.

      • Raven Nation

In Shirer’s “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich,” me makes an observation near the end of the book along the lines of, “people are asking who could have foreseen what Hitler was up to. The answer is, everybody should have because he been telling people for almost 20 years.”

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Yeah, but he made the trains run on time!

As I am sure Raven Nation knows, the world was in the middle of a “great man” period, and one of the flavors of “great man” is fascism, along with communism. Jew hate was de rigeuer as it was just part of real institutional racism, no different than Jim Crow, which was just the natural order of things to most people. At least the people who counted.

Trump’s Opening Move Against Migrant Sex Trafficking

Thank the Lord this is happening. I’ve adopted two kids out of foster care, and had to take classes where I heard all the horror stories of what happens to abused kids. We have hundreds of thousands of untracked kids who came over the border. For this alone, Biden, Myorkas, and anyone else who set up this system deserves to rot in jail for the rest of their days.

    • Suthenboy

      This.

Government officials have enabled, even encouraged criminal behavior. In my mind that makes them complicit. They are as guilty of child sex trafficking as the cartels. For that matter guilty of drug trafficking as well.

It was the worst criminal behavior. The cartels have no problem wiping out a village or beheading a dozen people and putting their heads in coolers. Call to arms

There is always value in remembering the “watch what they do, not what they say” maxim. But under circumstances like these, it’s especially significant because what Trump is saying is reflected in what he is doing: This is, after all, the same president who’s overseeing a White House that too often appears indifferent to legal guardrails, and has even questioned the need to follow court rulings.

Complicating matters further are the broader implications of the “he who saves his country does not violate any law” message. As writer Kyle Clark noted, “As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to ‘save’ the country as they see fit.”

I don’t imagine we’ve heard the last of this.

Trump’s robot army will rise up and destroy civil society.

    Needs more deficit spending

Europe’s largest economy contracted for a second consecutive year in 2024, its worst performance in two decades. And Gelsenkirchen has been amongst its hardest-hit cities – it has Germany’s highest unemployment rate, which has fuelled a dramatic rise in the popularity of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
Ahead of a general election on Sunday, a national debate is raging about how to revive Germany’s economic fortunes.

    ——-

But Germany’s constitutional debt brake has prevented successive governments from making vital investments, ranging from public infrastructure to skills training, needed to overhaul Germany’s ailing economic model, economists say.
The brake – part of Germany’s response to the 2009 financial crisis under former chancellor Angela Merkel – limits the federal government’s deficit to a mere 0.35% of output. By comparison, last year the U.S. budget deficit was more than 6% of output.

That seems to be the current talking point. Germany would have a higher GDP if the government spent more money on green new deal bullshit. The energy fairy isn’t putting out the way the experts promised.

    • Grummun

If the government spent more, then the metric that includes government spending will “improve.”

These demonstrations are being organized by the 50501 Movement, which stands for “50 protests. 50 states. 1 movement.” The protests are a response to what organizers describe as “the anti-democratic and illegal actions of the Trump administration.” This marks the second nationwide protest by the group, following an event held on Feb. 5.

The protests follow a series of executive orders signed by President Trump, including actions led by billionaire Elon Musk, which have been criticized for their aims to diminish the role of the federal government.

Organizers like Sydney Wilson — a local organizer in Pittsburgh and national press liaison for 50501— tell NPR that holding the protests on a day dedicated to celebrating U.S. presidents is an ideal moment.

“We are going out and protesting because we are concerned by our current president’s actions,” Wilson says. “We figured it was a nice little punch.”

And to think that just six months ago your nonprofit probably could have gotten a federal grant to do this. Truly, the federal government has been gutted like a rotten stinking beached whale.

Given that we had another cold snap, I’m guessing all the protestors are staying home again.

    • Suthenboy

This. Follow the money. Of course it will always lead back to the taxpayer being looted but let’s see who is doing the looting.

The protests are being coordinated with Political Revolution, a group founded in 2016 after Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ — an independent who caucuses with Democrats — presidential campaign. The 50501 group consists of volunteers and leaders who “have been on the front lines of justice, marching in support of Black Lives Matter, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and disability rights,” the organization says.

The group says it is not affiliated with any political party, and they describe Monday’s protest as a “call to action.”

“The current administration has clarified that it cares more about profit than people. We as a collective refuse to stand by as they continue to undermine the dignity of our communities,” the group said in a statement. “We are not just numbers or consumers. We are the People. We reject fascism. We reject the oligarchy. We reject the idea that any person’s worth is less than another’s.”

In other words, layabouts and malcontents.

        Again….this.

Lots of terrified squealing about Musk’s minions getting access to taxpayer info. Just like how outraged they were when Trump’s info got leaked.

I’ll have to remember to squeee when next financial institution demands my social

    • JaimeRoberto (carnitas/spicy salsa)

Except there’s no actual evidence that they have access to taxpayer info. Funny how the media don’t use their “without evidence” qualifier.

      • slumbrew

‘”without evidence” is for when they claim something, not when we claim something’

    • B.P.

Surely they want the IRS to be abolished, then.

At the risk of doxxing myself (who am I kidding), I began my career at 22, working for Blue Cross Blue Shield. HHS outsourced the audits of healthcare providers to the insurance companies, so my job was to audit hospitals for proper Medicare payment. I had access to ssn’s, personal information, health histories, financial background information, not to mention hospital financial records, personnel files, and board meeting minutes.

My “vetting” consisted of a bog-standard background check and a signed statement not to talk out of school about the details of the sensitive information that I saw.

Same goes for the CPA firms and consultants that show up to audit these entities or are engaged by the government to test/audit/consult on a a program.

Please someone give me a legitimate explanation as to why anyone cares about DOGE gaining access to sensitive info.

    • Ownbestenemy

There isn’t. We know that. Majority of people do not. They believe their government safeguards their information like its Fort Knox

It is funny…and true. Demoralization is about selecting for incompetence. That isa cancer that spreads from the base to the leadership.

It occurs to me that the rest of the world seems to follow this road all the way to its inevitable catastrophic end yet we here in the US seem to be hitting the brakes. I wonder how many people can see that…or am I wrong?

    More WaPo cowardice and treachery

The Washington Post this week backed out of a “Fire Elon Musk” advertising order that was to run as a wrap on some of its Tuesday editions, according to the advocacy group Common Cause.

The group said it signed a $115,000 agreement with the Post to run the ad that would have covered the front and back page of the Tuesday paper, as well as a full-page ad with the same theme inside the paper. It said it planned to purchase the ad in collaboration with the Southern Poverty Law Center Action Fund.

The ad’s design features a large picture of Musk with his head tilted back, laughing, along with a cutout image of the White House and large white text: “Who’s running this country: Donald Trump or Elon Musk?”

Lower down on the page, it features smaller font text stating: “Since day one, Elon has created chaos and confusion and put our livelihoods at risk. And he is accountable to no one but himself.”

Democracy is DOOOOOMED! unless this ad is run.

    • Suthenboy

So they were buying the ad with taxpayer money. How long before the leftist propaganda outlets start going under? I cant wait to toast their demise.

As Indians replace Jews in role of America’s primary market-dominant minority/priest caste, references to “Judeo-Christian” values will gradually become “Indo-European” instead

If Musk is accountable to no one but himself, who is going to fire him?
