Training camps are in full swing. And it doesn’t look like anybody got hurt over the weekend. College practices are about to get started up (officially) today. The Astros are in a tailspin after getting swept at home in a four game series with the lowly Athletics. And in Spa, they inexplicably waited forever to start the race and then didn’t even do a standing start, which sucked. They do have heavy wet tires, FIA. Use them. The McLarens went 1-2. And that’s it for sports.
That’s it? A couple years ago, they’d have given their info to Catholic and Lutheran Charities and gotten them all plane tickets to the USA.
He should have just gone to the beach. For four days. Every single week. For the entire term. That wouldn’t have even warranted a story.
The answer to the question is “yes.” But with a qualifier: if equal protection is a thing.
Yeah, arrests can be like that. If the allegations are true, I hope he ends his sentence on an airplane. Or all but the last few seconds of it, IYKWIM.
Work on that grip. Other than that, well done, sir.
It’s fine by me. Of course, that opinion is not shared by everyone. I suppose we could have just sent them a bill for the free defense we’ve provided them for more than half a century. But they’d have bitched about that too.
I’m shocked! I’d be even more shocked if she wasn’t justified in going back and doing what she did. This is Boston, after all.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BBC gonna BBC.
You might want to beef up your cybersecurity, dummies. And your users might want to rethink where they’re taking selfies.
So stunning and brave. Jeez, get a life.
Here’s a great song. The video is another story. This one is better. Although that’s a really low bar. Either way, enjoy them both.
And enjoy this lovely Monday, dear friends.

I heard Will Wheaton got hurt because Patrick Steward told him to shut up after he had a rant about if anyone told him “Shut up Wesley” again he was gonna blow a gasket.
“Submission” is an interesting projection from France given their recent history.
Submit to Allah, not the Great Satan – makes perfect sense.
They’ve already submitted.
I was talking g with my wife recently, and we’ve pretty much agreed that we no longer have any real desire to go to most of Europe because it’s no longer Europe, but *insert Muslim country of choice here*. Whole swaths of the continent are now closer to Islamabad than Paris or Berlin. They’ve already lost and they don’t even know it. In 25 years the continent will very like be majority Muslim, and their 2000 year experiment will be lost.
You never know MW, some may rediscover the Song of Roland.
“Submit to Allah, not the Great Satan – makes perfect sense.”
I am pretty sure Allah is just Satan.
I am pretty sure Allah is just Satan
Yahweh, The Lord Almighty, Allah… but you do you.
“Yahweh, The Lord Almighty, Allah… but you do you.”
You do you..
I am sticking to my original comment.
Aslan/Tash/Tashlan
Not that I necessarily agree that this is the case, but it’s not exactly a novel position.
(interestingly enough, spellcheck only rejected “Tashlan.”)
Saw a survey recently* that Islam already has more followers than any other religion in big swathes of Europe.
*add grains of salt as appropriate
The “non-religious” are probably more numerous and many of them have a found a different religion that doesn’t appear on this surveys.
That DHS is arresting people for child porn seems odd. Also, couldn’t they have arrested him somewhere else?
He was a Flight risk.
I would have thought DHL would have arrested him in that case.
Publicly arresting someone with child porn is always a good idea. As public as possible, for that matter, in order to thwart his ability to accuse them of roughing him up or planting evidence on his person.
Perhaps they discovered that he had evidence of his crimes in his electronic devices and didn’t want to run the risk of him deleting it, so this made sense.
If they had arrested him at his house, then there would have been no news story.
Arresting people at airports has a higher likelihood of having your arrestee be unarmed. Especially when compared to their homes.
That was my thought. Much safer to arrest people at work or when they’re in town shopping or something.
Gotta justify that budget…
Assuming the report is accurate (and it seems thinly sourced), I don’t why they needed a bunch of cops from a bunch of agencies all tacticooled up to do this.
What’s the point of all that tacticool gear if you never get to use it?
He’s just calling a Laird early in the day this way. Morning all, morning Sloopy. Haven’t watched the Spa replay (had family over so was busy yesterday)… sounds like I didn’t miss much. Spa is one of those “so much fun to drive… so easy to either rain out or turn into a parade [Sprint race]” tracks…
“Work on that grip. Other than that, well done, sir.”
I wonder if black guy with dreadlocks makes a difference in good guy with a gun story? Remember how quickly they dropped the Navy Yard shooting?
“I wonder if black guy with dreadlocks makes a difference in good guy with a gun story?”
In proggie world he is the worst of the worst gun owners, cause he is both a law abiding citizen with a gun and an uncle Tom to their marxist cause.
“Could”? Probably… but I’d bet much more on “slap on the wrist fine” territory here, even for Senator Asshole-Weasel-Pencil-Neck. Due deference to The Elites from the system after all, regardless of prosecutorial intent.
In a just world he would lose his seat over this.
““Local 26 has zero tolerance for any and all kinds of racism and discrimination,” Carlos Aramayo said. “We will take all appropriate actions to discipline any member who engaged in racist behavior during the strike at Fenway.””
What exactly was the racist behavior?
Allegedly, the picketers hurled racial slurs at a temp worker who crossed the line and then spit on her.
I know it sounds crazy that picketing union employees in a deep blue city would do anything like that. Especially one with such a rich history of racial inclusion like Boston.
Everyone knows only the South has any racism now or ever — and the NorthEast has always been happy rainbow unicorn land regarding racial relations.
(and everybody knows the fight is fixed… the poor get poor and the rich get rich, that’s how it goooes….)
I moved from Richmond VA to Boston and back to Richmond in the mid-80s. Everyday race relations in Boston were much worse than in the former capitol of the Confederacy.
To this day, smart black people don’t walk through Southie after dark…
“King for a Day” is my favorite Thompson Twins somg
When I hear it, I’m usually simgimg it the rest of the day.
Do you have a picture pinned to your wall?
Same. It’s a lovely tune.
We have letters stuck to the wall, that was there when we bought the house. It’s a quote from 1 Corinthians 13:8 — “Love never fails”.
The words “Love” have peeled away and fallen to the floor. So, not it just says “never fails”.
I’m too lazy to either replace love or dispose of never fails.
I also don’t do grammar too good.
*goodly
So you are saying Love failed?
Are we not supposed to comment on the woman spitting out the pearl necklace?
King for a day?
Hero of the Day
…heroes, just for one day
Seems more than a trifle odd… I know pilots (and co-pilots) get through the airport easier and all… but really? No checkpoint before that could detain him for later arrest? Or for that matter, just arrest him at home without turning it into an episode of 24 to get your SWAT-ish rocks off guys? I’m sure freaking out everyone about what might be going on was worth it…
And yes — obviously the guy was a flight risk…. :rim shot: — but Delta would know where the plane went, and if it was a Fed arrest, I doubt he’d commandeer the plane to go international.
I bet the guy liked movies about gladiators.
^^^THIS^^^
I would like this better if they had stormed the cockpit before takeoff rather than after landing. Dying as collateral damage to a pilot deciding to take the easy way out rather than do time as a pedo is not on my ways to go out I’d choose list.
It is probably a terrible deal for the EU because they have no negotiation leverage. They can’t go east for energy or trade because of their war with Russia and now China.
One can only hope, after the last 75 years of us paying for their defense.
Or when he gets off the plane.
French government ministers said on Monday that the deal had some merits – such as exemptions they hoped to see for some key French business sectors such as spirits
Cool, so we can import the ghost of Europe now that their leaders have killed the body.
Even with US alcohol consumption falling over the years (going back to the 1900s), we still are a massive market for alcohol. Prohibition (and the Irish Rebellion) coincided to more than decimate the Irish whiskey industry (at the low point, there were three distilleries, all owned by the same company IIRC).
I’m 1000 percent in the state of “serenity to not care about things I can’t change” when it comes to the Great Tariff Wars of 2025. Whatever… things will work out however they work out.
I’m very much nominally anti-tariff, but I’m with you. I can’t change it. I can only roll with it, and I must also remind myself that I need not agree with every policy in order to support the overall direction. As with all administrations we must take the bad with the good, and I’d rather have tariffs be the “bad” over the litany of bullshit from the previous administration where importing illegals by the millions was paramount.
Tariffs are bad trade policy, but bad trade policy is nothing new. As these deals get worked out and the bad policy becomes predictable things will stabilize and businesses will figure out how to move forward.
Agree.
I do find it fishy, however, that the left is now concerned with free market principles.
The tariffs will price fentanyl out of the homeless markets. Tariffs for the win!
It’s amazing the author, and those like him, don’t have whiplash – going from sucking the govt cock to being the most anti-govt people you know.
“This event is now too dangerous for California.”
Somehow I assume he would have been onboard for the state to remove all of the homeless prior to opening ceremonies, like they did when the Chinese government showed up to meet Gavin.
Probably also all for force to keep the unjabbed out of the event.
It’s “too dangerous” for CA not because of Trump, but because they can’t possibly finish building out the extravagance required by the IOC without the permanent underclass of underpaid illegals to do it. Massive parts of their economy are built on the backs of illegals working illegally for pennies on the dollar. Take that away, which is what’s happening, and their little utopia disappears because it’s always been too expensive. They’ve just been able to hide it a little better behind armies of illegal workers.
All the fascist stormtroopers invading utopian California to enforce Donald Trump’s war on the opposition and yet no one is getting thrown out of helicopters. Fascist better!
OFFS what a pantywaist. Cry harder, bully.
“As they openly wage war against California.”
And by “open war” he means protecting ICE agents from those in open insurrection.
These people are fruitcakes to think that fedgov hasn’t the legal and moral authority to do exactly what it’s doing in CA. In fact, I’d say they need to be doing it even harder. They don’t get to import illegals to use as numbers for their political representation in Congress. That violates the rights of every other state. Their desire for illegals to keep their economy going via modern day slave labor doesn’t trump the rights of Americans everywhere else.
The left had a good gig going hiding that stuff behind a shiny veneer of “compassion” and “care” but I think people are starting to catch on that it was always bullshit and they’re going to be pissed.
Secede California!
Doooo eeeet!
I especially love how enforcing federal law is now “lawless”.
Wonder if journalists will ever course correct to stop calling everyone to the right of Marx “far-right”? Because that’s certainly helping their credibility with the general public and not at all pushing moderates away from their positions (“Hey… if they’re calling us far-right anyway… and we agree with the right on a lot of issues… might as well ally with them…”)
I’m surprised they didn’t call them fascist.
That term is reserved for white countries.
I wonder when we’re gonna get the “Oasis is whites supremacy!!!” articles after their Webmley date this weekend.
I hope it was a concert filled with the most conspicuous of Britishisms.
Nope. It’s what allows them to lie to everyone about them NOT being far left.
“Wonder if journalists will ever course correct to stop calling everyone to the right of Marx “far-right”?”
You are wasting your time. You already know the answer….
Their team was rather green, I’m afraid. Still expected to be living in a BASIC world of PEKOE and POKE, so they ended up getting iced.
Neera Tandeen in WSJ
That would be you and your entire party you stupid, lying cunt.
What are the odds that she’s objected to every single arrest/deportation, even if those for whom it should be the obvious choice? I’d bet “very high” doesn’t even describe it accurately.
Honest question: does the administration want to curb legal immigration drastically? I don’t really recall hearing much about that, just the crackdown on illegals.
Of course, I think we should just have a freeze/moratorium on new immigration for, say, 5 years (for starters), just to get the current mess sorted out and maybe figure out what kind/how much immigration is actually in the interest of American citizens.
As usual it’s mixed. I thought I heard about slowing down legal immigration for a while, but also Trump had that “golden ticket” thing for people to pay to become citizens faster.
It’s not just a question of “How much” but who. We have enough freeloaders already, and we don’t need anyone who wants to change this country to be more like the shitholes they left.
Also, I wonder how many of those “middle ground” people are aware that we’re already accepting north of a million legals every year.
1,000,000 legal immigrants every year? Do you have a source for this?

That is way to many. Zero that out for a century.

The kind of rich socialist who wants other people to be poor.

So in other words… a socialist.
We must suffer the indignities of luxury so that the common people are not tempted!
Capitalism is good for getting rich, but it reduces the perks of being rich because there aren’t any starving serfs willing to do anyth8ing to feed their families. You need desperate people if you want really obedient servants.
Hence, their desire to keep importing illegals as a permanent underclass.
“The kind of rich socialist who wants other people to be poor.”
He loves marxism because he is pretty sure he will be one of the feudal lords.
Just like every privileged person who’s a socialist, he’s convinced he’s a Top. Man.
But like the other “top men” he doesn’t realize there are “hard men” with a ditch and clipboard waiting for him.

““Maybe I’m too … woke,” one viral post read, “but getting a blue-eyed, blonde, white woman and focusing your campaign around her having perfect genetics feels weird…” Others described the slogan as too close to “master race” propaganda and said it echoed eugenics-era language used to validate and promote the superiority of white beauty.”

OFFS!!
So. Fucking. Exhausting. How can these people remember to breathe while worrying their little heads about “white supremacy” in a goddamn ad for fucking jeans?
We have an epidemic of people who do nothing but despair over their own vapidity.
If you start by thinking of government as God, responsible for all good things, and foe of all bad things, of course you end up in a panic when the government ends up in the hands of your opponents. On the other hand, when you start by assuming government is generally a force for evil, and is only prevented from destroying everything by being as incompetent as it is malign, you no longer panic, you just despair.
And yes, bitch, you’re too woke.
This would be funnier if her brand was owned by Hugo Boss.
The horror, the horror.
This shit right here is why Trump won.
American Eagle has not addressed the backlash directly.
The only appropriate way to address “the backlash” is with prolonged belly-laughter.
Because I’m not convinced there actually is a “backlash.” Just a handful of ultra-loud poison frogs pissed that their happiness was ruined by a college education.

“The US Navy estimates it needs to be building Virginia-class submarines at a rate of 2.00 a year to meet its own defence requirements, and about 2.33 to have enough boats to sell any to Australia. It is currently building Virginia-class submarines at a rate of about 1.13 a year, senior admirals say.”
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/28/aukus-australia-nuclear-submarines-us-subs-navy-admiral
So they only build them one at a time?
Yes, and that all but doubles the cost…
I suspect that is by design, BTW..
They’re behind in carrier building too. The John F Kennedy is now 18 months behind (and of course over budget). With Nimitz retiring, they are talking about having 10 carriers instead of 11 for a year. They could keep Nimitz in service, but from what I hear that ship is on its last legs and needs to be retired.
This is also by design. The cabal put in charge of ship building for the Navy seems to ALWAYS choose the path that costs the most and delivers the least….
We wouldn’t want that cheap Chinese junk, would we?
Cost plus
“In January, 11 days before his second inauguration, Donald Trump was seated next to Barack Obama at President Jimmy Carter’s funeral. In a surreal moment, the two men were laughing and chumming it up like old friends. In reality, they deeply dislike each other.
Still, Obama, as America’s first Black president, knows he must publicly wear the mask. It’s the same mask Black people, and specifically Black men, have long been forced to wear to conceal their true emotions, lest they risk being unfairly judged to be uppity, angry, hostile, difficult, not a “team player,” arrogant, aloof, dangerous, violent.”
https://www.salon.com/2025/07/26/trumps-threats-against-obama-are-racism-made-dangerously-real/
“n reality, then-President Obama formally accused Russia of conducting an influence operation on social media and in other spaces in support of Trump’s presidential campaign. This was largely proven to be true, including by a Republican-led Senate investigation. “We have found irrefutable evidence of Russian meddling,” said then-Sen. Marco Rubio, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which carried out the investigation. Rubio now serves as Trump’s secretary of state.”
It was maybe $100K in Facebook ads.
“Threatening one’s predecessor and other members of the opposition party with deportation, prison or worse for non-existent crimes is a defining feature of authoritarian and fascist regimes.”
You don’t say.
“Non-existent” LOL.
That was (D)ifferent.
“The president’s authoritarian behavior and strongman threats against Obama are being amplified, and made more powerful and dangerous, by their racist underpinnings. Trump has been accurately described as America’s first White president. As Ta-Nehisi Coates explained in 2017”
I wonder what it is like going through life with no ability to form memories? The ability to wake up every day and believe that each event is new and unique in it’s racist evil doesn’t seem to have a lot of upside.
The left’s ability to read minds is astounding.
The memory hole is a feature for them, not a bug. They require it, just as it was required in 1984.
It allows them to remake everything as if it were new. It allows them to say what is at any moment without fear of the past having its say.
Elie Mystal must be kicking himself for not writing that first.
“Obama’s real “crime” is symbolic: He is America’s first Black president. His literal personhood and what it symbolizes is a violation of America’s centuries-old racial order.”
I hate these people with every fiber of my being. They will not rest until every black man and woman openly express hatred of any and every white person in the world.
They are no better than the klansmen they claim are the ones keeping racism alive in America.
Yes, the end goal of writers like this is nationwide chaos leading to collapse, so they can rule over the ruins. It’s hard to come up with a civil response to the evil.
There is no civil response. What they need is a serious ass kicking.
The same America that voted him in twice?
Obama’s real “crime” is symbolic: He is America’s first Black president.
Pepperidge Farm remembers when Bill Clinton was America’s first black president.
It’s the kind of thing that makes me think that maybe mass graves aren’t bad in and of themselves, but that its more a matter of who is filling them, and why.
Obama has minions to play the race card for him.
Funny, I’m as white as one can possibly get, and I ‘wear the mask’ every time I go to work or interact with people I’m not close to.
Since I’m not ruled by my base emotions, I don’t see this as something that I need to constantly whine about.
The fact that code switching is considered an exclusive struggle of African-Americans is the most deluded and condescending thing I can imagine. I have entirely different ways of interacting depending on the social situation and culture/subcultures I’m in at the time.
If code switching is a problem, then uphold higher standards of behavior in all aspects of your existance
The people who write this stuff have to be completely miserable. How could you possibly be happy when you spend you whole day looking for the most negative explanation of everything?
They are. And they want everyone else to be equally miserable.
A college edumacation is a hell of a drug….
Trump probably made a joke about Biden being a corpse and Obama couldn’t help but laugh.
Probably something about them sharing the coffin.
The Fuse is arriving at LGS today. The last of the ancillary gear for the P220 also arrives today (but at my mailbox). The P220 itself is… unknown. I’ll have to contact the SEC to try and figure out if it’s been shipped. The sooner the P220 shows up, the sooner I can start L10 major. I’ll be shooting L10 minor this weekend.
Is there any heat in L10 these days? If you’re not careful, you just might end up a national champion…
With the rules change, it’s now the “miscellaneous/anything* goes” division for those who don’t mind reloading.
I see no reason whatsoever why someone in a ban state wouldn’t make it their primary division.
*ports/comps do not go. Everything else does. Optic on a .357 revolver? Sure! And Major power factor too! Alas, putting a magwell on the P220 requires gunsmithing. And Lok does not make grips for it.
In re: becoming the national L10 champion,
IIUC, they’ve suspended classifications since the old scores were developed on iron sighted guns. If that holds until November, you could be the national champion and not receive a classification bump.
It also means that a major match score won’t drop me since there won’t be enough GM’s. Fortunately that happened at A7, which I completely fucked up but Sal Luna dropped out so there was only Mason and Stephen Lutman.
“A North Carolina high school student who was suspended for using the term “illegal aliens” during a class discussion is set to receive a public apology and $20,000 in a legal settlement from the school district.
On Tuesday, the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina finalized the agreement between 16-year-old Christian McGhee and Davidson County Schools, resolving a year-long legal battle over the student’s suspension. McGhee was suspended in April 2024 after reportedly asking during an English class discussion, “Do you mean space aliens or illegal aliens who need green cards?” The school imposed a three-day suspension and marked his permanent record with a note for “racially insensitive behavior.”

Detectives will be drawn from forces across the country to take part in a new investigations unit that will flag up early signs of potential civil unrest. I think the existence of this sort of thing is part of why the serfs are pissed.
Yep. Working class Brits are already poor, taxed all to fuck, and that tax money being used to pay hotel bills for “asylum” seekers.
I’d say it is more the middle… they’re way past the “beginning” of free speech infringements.

To be fair, the state is run by Democrats.
Who are literally the same people who push the “living wage” flapdoodle.
Someone should study their brains to figure out how they’re wired because the double-thought is off the charts.
It’s simple. “The living wage rules with make ME more money. Any of the crummy jobs will be done for less by those people who are used to less, so it’ll seem like a lot. Wait, why are you deporting those people? I’ve got crummy jobs they need to do for me!”
There’s a very pernicious mindset that exists in quite a few people that merely intending to do the right thing is just as good as DOING the right thing. So since they intended to help people, it’s perfectly alright that they’re being hurt a little now, it’s all for the greater good.
THE GREATER GOOD!
It’s simple. “The living wage rules with make ME more money. Any of the crummy jobs will be done for less by those people who are used to less, so it’ll seem like a lot. Wait, why are you deporting those people? I’ve got crummy jobs they need to do for me!”

It is also important to deliberately make whatever issue you’re claiming to solve worse, to keep the game going forever.
Most came from other east Asian countries, like China and South Korea, with a substantial minority also coming from the West.
Some argue that tourists behave in an uncouth, disrespectful way – violating the strong norms of courtesy on which Japanese people pride themselves.
Last November, a 65-year-old American tourist was arrested on suspicion of scrawling graffiti onto a wooden gate at the Meiji Jingu shrine in Tokyo.
Ahh, BBC – never change. The first sentence correctly identifies the origin of the bulk of the xenophobia. However, the particular example chosen is, naturally, not from those particular countries. Why is that?
Sydney Sweeney, she-wolf of the SS.
Eugenics movements in the U.S. often promoted the idea of “good genes” to encourage reproduction among white, able-bodied people while justifying the forced sterilization of others. Critics say those ideas still show up in modern advertising and influencer culture, often unexamined.
Everywhere I look, I see thrilling, titillating monsters. Fap fap fap. Same for that “inescapable evil of whiteness” article.
When will these people just disappear up their own assholes and leave the rest of us in peace?
They never did. Remember the campaign to vilify models for being too thin in the 1980s? This has gone on since then, and it won’t stop now. At least now we have something to look back on and say “When the commies took over, you had to flip through magazines with your eyes shut. Never again.
How do they get away with this crap? Eugenics is their baby…so to speak.
The same way National Socialism became “right wing” – by lying about it.
This is what I was thinking. If you want to look to the er of the eugenics movement in the US, look no further than their abortion queen and progressive extraordinaire OWH on the Supreme Court.
I saw that movie.

Those Orientals are all just one big happy family. It’s not like there are any historical frictions which might be in play.
it may feel like a step back for those who appreciated the inclusivity of the Mulvaney campaign.
They can’t even get that part right. Everybody in the Bud Light ad loves Andre.
Maybe they should have made an ad with Mulvaney and Emmit Smith and Peyton Manning playing catch.
Some might say that was the entire fucking point. No one wants to hear how a man makes the best kind of woman.

“ The country recorded over a million snake bite deaths in just two decades from 2000-19, according to a study published in 2020 in the journal eLife.”
So 50,000/year in a country of 1B?
Maybe the monkeys roaming the streets help control the snake population.
I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am… With apologies to our Mormon Glibs.
You’re Cordially Invited to Our Dry Wedding. Hope You Have Fun?
Couples are risking guests’ wrath and opting for alcohol-free parties, with coffee carts and ‘zero-proof’ cocktails; ‘I think it’s tacky and bad hosting’

I was at a wedding reception for a grand niece. It was dry but the bar was open for those that wanted to buy their own. Anyway, the groom was walking around the affair, with his drink, Security came along and took his drink away because he was under age.
Public humiliation!, how does one live that down?
Ten years later, “Hey, remember at your wedding the security guy took your drink?”
I completely get the money thing and a cash bar.
The compromise if cost constrained is you have an open bar for an hour or something similar.
In this case it doesn’t seem like it is a money issue, but moral.
One of my (Baptist) fraternity brothers married a Catholic girl. At the reception there was (unannounced) a Baptist punch bowl and a Catholic punch bowl. Once that knowledge made it into the attendees the consumption differential between the two bowls was amazing to witness.
“But we put the same stuff in both bowls”
UCS:
But the guests now know which punch bowl they can spike with minimal guilt.
UnCiv: The difference was tastable.
NA, Clearly, Mr Ilium beat you to the Punch.
Meh. It’s up to the hosts. I’ve been to dry weddings, wet weddings, and dry weddings for which an entire half brought a flask.
‘I think it’s tacky and bad hosting’
“Sorry you can’t make it. We’ll struggle along as best we can.”
“There have never been this many sober guests here,” said Lisa Karvellas, co-owner of Cedar Lakes Estate, an events venue in upstate New York, where the number of couples paying for the addition of a zero-proof bar rose 56% this year.
From two to three.
