I hope OBE is getting one of those bonuses.
Me, too.
Your Thursday links are good, but not bonus-worthy. :-p
It include techs and not just controllers, so 🤞
Unfortunately I was not a true patriot and had pre-authorized leave months in advance so I will most likely not see any bonuses for my deriliction of duty
Thanks for the thought
Remember when Democrats would at least complain about government hand outs to Big Business?
It feels like a lifetime ago.
I remember when they hated Big Pharma.

We’re behind the required rate to make a dent in the flood.
MOAR!
And they’re still overpaid.
Abolish the government schools, they are not fit for purpose.
You misunderstand their purpose.
Since they are unfit for any purpose, your misunderstanding based upon the abusive results doesn’t matter.
They do a bang up job of turning young girls into progressive activists, and convincing tweens that they are trans. It’s a purpose I suppose.

This.
Education ain’t got nothing to do with it. Smashing the system is their only concern. Wrecking families and beating up girl athletes are just minor steps along the way.
Yep.
What is the plan for educating kids after the public school system is abolished?
Why must there be a central plan – make the parents responsible for their children.
“Why must there be a central plan – make the parents responsible for their children.”
That would work as well for education as subsistence farming would work for feeding the population. I’m wondering what kind of institutions would replace the current system.
I’m confident the sudden demand for educational resources will create a boom market providing them.
What form will emerge after the various options are tested by the consumer is unknown and unknowable. It will likely be a spectrum of forms based upon the interests and needs of the various populations and the relative aptitudes of the students.
I’ve always been amused by teachers who cry poor when, compared to other low-level bureaucrats whose jobs require a college credential (social workers, probation officers) they make pretty good scratch.
It’s also telling that schoolmarms don’t get the veneration they feel they deserve given that pretty much everyone in the country has a dozen years’ experience with a good-sized sample set of them.
I think the latter is because there are vastly more parents who pursued college themselves in the last fifty years, and who realize that the education majors were the absolute bottom of the intellectual barrel on campus.
Federal charges against that poor, deranged woman? Really?
I am torn on this. She is obviously crazy, but I was in favor of serious charges for Smollett so I think consistency requires that I call for her to spend time in prison.
“FAA Awards $10,000 Bonuses to 776 Air Traffic Workers Who Had Perfect Attendance During Shutdown”
Nothing. Left. To. Cut.
Meh. Doesn’t bother me.
I’m ok with the air traffic controller bonuses, not so much for the TSA ones. But then I am ok with the existence of air traffic controllers, and not so much with the existence of TSA.
Privatize ATC like Canada.
Their model would destroy the GA community in the United States
Even though Sloopy didn’t do the links today, I have to shout out some kudos to the University of Michigan governing board for standing up against the absurd private equity deal being pushed by the B1G conference. They are taking lessons from Barça on mortgaging the future for a pittance today.
Remember, Sloopy was about the only person to think a European Super League in soccer was a good idea.
He fears Liverpool’s inevitable relegation (it may be 50 years from now, but its still inevitable).
Meh, they probably just want to mortgage it to someone else.
Can we lodge a complaint about the voters in that district? Two generations of imbecile are enough!
For those who don’t know, Alcee Hastings was a federal judge who got caught taking a bribe in an FBI sting operation; he was subsequently impeached and removed from office (last judge to have that happen?), and upon his release from prison ran for Congress.
There is a lot of growth in and around Palm Beach. It will be interesting to see if the new voters make a difference.
Blue State Somalis Allegedly Sent Welfare Money To Al-Qaeda Ally Planning Another 9/11
HA i told you.
I wonder if that is “real” welfare money or the money they scammed from the Covid bonanza of cash being sprayed everywhere.
I think I read there have been three massive frauds in Minnesota. So, it may be both.
In A Historic First, Japan Arms U.S. With Lethal Patriot PAC-3 Interceptor Missiles; But Why Is Tokyo Arming “Mentor” USA?

I think it’s because the transfer is so the US can keep sending them to Ukraine without depleting our supply. So that might upset the Russkies.
more than they already are?
anyhoo a peace plan seems to be in the works.
No, but now when we funnel them to Ukraine, they will have to deal with missiles that turn into giant robots.
Only after you have a child speak into the special watch. Which we’re gonna charge extra for.
It’s semantics.
Japan builds them under US license for its own use. However, traditionally they have viewed its constitution (that the US wrote) precludes selling most arms. We are running low in stock in the US so we’d like to buy some of own weapons we’ve licensed to Japan to manufacture.
It’s the “switcheroo”. We sell ours to the the Ukraine and Israel. Japan can’t sell to either country, however, it has somehow found a loophole to be able to sell back to the US. The US replaces the units it sold to Ukraine and Israel with ones made in Japan.
And the proxy war(s) march on.
War in Ukraine? I thought Trump ended that on Day One?
Democrat Congresswoman Indicted For Using FEMA Funds To Bankroll Her Campaign
In a way it makes sense because if more democrats are elected then disasters will be better managed and in the long run FEMA saves money
For example they save all the money it would cost to rescue filthy Republicans from floods.
Trump did learn – don’t rely on people that love government so much they spend their entire lives in it.

On the other hand, Smith said states like Mississippi and Louisiana have improved test results simply by focusing on academics.
“They’ve implemented reforms that make public schools focus on core subjects, particularly reading,” Smith said.

Have you seen my city-state proposal?
Large cities are separated from their states and get One Senator each.
Start with NYC and work our way down until it feels far enough.
NY city state would be the 5 buroughs.
LA city state would be LA county south of the forests.
Chicago would maybe be all of Cook County?
Dallas would be Dallas and Tarrant Counties.
You get the Idea.
“I’ve got Staten Island on line one. Somebody sounds pissed.”
“As it turns out, a loophole emerged in 1977 that allowed states to opt into the Restaurant Meals Program, which was meant to provide meals to homeless food stamp recipients who didn’t have access to a kitchen to prepare their meals. Eligibility for the program quickly expanded to include spouses, the elderly, and the disabled. Nine states opted into the program: Arizona, California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia.”
How can they be homeless? A home address is required to get SNAP.
“”The ‘N’ in SNAP stands for nutrition not nuggets with a side of fries,” Ernst told Fox News. “I wish I was McRibbing you but $250 million per year at the drive-through is no joke and a serious waste of tax dollars. I hate to be the one to say McSCUSE ME, but something needs to be done because taxpayers are not lovin’ it.””
Is Joni Ernst trying to start a war with Switzerland?
During the 2020 census, for some reason the form for homeless people landed on my desk at the hospital. I don’t recall the details, but I do recall that all or nearly all of them had some kind of home address listed.
The definition has been expanded to include “housing insecure”. Also, some homeless have a relative that they don’t live with but still gets the mail and gives it to them when they see them now and then. You may ask why don’t they live with the relative? Because they are drunk or high most of the time and their relative has had enough of their shit.
Drunk, high, and don’t forget, stealing their relative’s stuff to get drunk and high.
Shelter, non profits, all of those can be a “home address” for the purpose of censure, voting, or mail.
Since food stamps are no longer mailed out, anyone can get snap benefits reloaded onto their card.
Wait, they’re taking food stamps at restaurants?? I had no idea.
That is kind of interesting because you can’t buy “prepared foods” (i.e. the same thing) at supermarkets with it.
Why is the market down?
You ain’t seen nothing yet! We’ll need to add the cost of new printing presses that go up to 11. Two thousand dollar bonuses don’t come cheap.
Inflation generally makes the market go up.
I dunno but the Dems have been doom-hammering on the economy non-stop the last few days and it’s getting tiresom. They think they found their “winning” issue so they won’t shut up about it. Maybe all the yammering and their endless polling is dragging shit down.
Wow, so unlike them.
Just when my bank stock was showing some life too. I’m down about $25K in last three weeks. I guess the orphans are going to have a cut in their gruel ration for 2026.

It’s irrational sentiments either way.
It goes up because, for most folks, it’s the only place to park your extra money.
Bobarian nailed it.

“Officers administered a breathalyzer test that showed zero alcohol in his system, according to WSB-TV. They then conducted field sobriety tests.
“Based off the accident that you had and the field sobriety test that we did, I’ve got enough probable cause to believe that you were under the influence of something other than alcohol,” an officer told Fineran during the arrest.
Fineran spent the night in jail. Blood and urine tests later conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation found no illegal or prescription drugs in his system.
The incident follows similar cases raising questions about field sobriety test reliability. A Journal of American Medicine Association study found officers classified 49% of sober participants as impaired during marijuana field sobriety tests.”
https://dailycaller.com/2025/11/20/sober-college-football-player-arrested-dui-breathalyzer-zero-rome-georgia/
At least in this case it was after a minor accident, but still a stupid law.
The incident should raise questions about the number of cops who are lying buckets of shit.
All of them?
Exactly why all judgements against cops need to come out of their pay/pensions. Fuckers would clean up their own ranks right quick.
Was there a question?
Never do the field sobriety tests. They are designed for failure and are simply used to make you look drunk to a jury. Tell them you will gladly comply with any requests after you have consulted your attorney. They will then tell you attorneys aren’t invited into the field and ask you again. Tell him you understand that and then repeat your request until you are released or are able to consult your attorney.
Here that means your car is impounded and you get a trip to the hospital for a blood test.
If you decline the blood test it’s 6 months without a license.
Unless you’re absolutely sober, if you’re in that situation, your car is probably getting impounded regardless. You aren’t dazzling anybody with roadside tests such that you are leaving of your own accord. The roadside tests are there to play back for the jury, not to prove guilt/innocence. If you’re doing a roadside sobriety test, they’re already planning on taking you to jail. They may or may not be able to do a blood test, but they can’t do anything till you have consulted with your attorney. Some states it’s an additional crime to refuse a breathalyzer or blood draw, some states, it’s not a crime, but a civil infraction that results in license loss. Long and short of it, consult your attorney and he’ll spell it out for you how to best proceed.
Sensei:
Same here, but per the advise of the lawyer I retained during my OVI (over a decade back), you still avoid any tests. Make them prove every aspect of it.

“A teenage wood shop apprentice in Turkey died after his co-workers inserted a high-pressure air hose up his rectum as a horrific “prank” — the latest incident in which the power tool has killed a young man by exploding his intestines.
The dark “joke” turned deadly Friday when Habip Aksoy and a friend allegedly overpowered Muhammed Kendirci, 15, and tied his hands at the woodworking center in Sanliurfa, according to local outlet Milliyet.
They allegedly forcibly removed his pants and shoved an air compressor tube into his anus — causing severe internal organ damage.”
https://nypost.com/2025/11/20/world-news/teen-dies-after-co-workers-insert-high-pressure-hose-up-rectum-in-prank/
That pranks sounds more like premeditated murder.
“In 2023, Motilal Sahu, 16, died of internal injuries after a co-worker inserted a compressed air hose into his rectum “for fun” at a factory in India….
In 2017, Wesner Moreira da Silva, a 17-year-old car wash worker, died after colleagues blasted a high-pressure air hose up his anus, causing his intestines to explode.”
WTF?
How stupid are these people? The human body can barely take 10 PSI!
“Your basic fart generates 0.2 newtons. Hoisting’s going to take a lot more petard than that. It was time, you should pardon the expression, to turn up the gas. Assuming a robust 23 cubic inches of flatus per emission, we computed the necessary exit pressure at 3,680 pounds per square inch.”

“Grammy-winning rapper Prakazrel “Pras” Michel of the Fugees was sentenced on Thursday to 14 years in prison for a case in which he was convicted of illegally funneling millions of dollars in foreign contributions to President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign…
In April 2023, a federal jury convicted Michel of 10 counts, including conspiracy and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. The trial in Washington, DC, included testimony from actor Leonardo DiCaprio and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions…
Michel obtained over $120 million from Malaysian billionaire Low Taek Jho — also known as Jho Low — and steered some of that money through straw donors to Obama’s campaign….
“Low’s motivation for giving Mr. Michel money to donate was not so that he could achieve some policy objective. Instead, Low simply wanted to obtain a photograph with himself and then-President Obama,” Michel’s attorneys wrote.”

“So what we’ve determined is that Jho Low…he has become a kind of adviser working for the Chinese government with special situations. Among those situations are companies, major Chinese companies that are dealing with the U.S. government problems. And it’s kind of surreal to think about this, but Jho has developed a kind of reputation within China as a strategist or a problem solver when it comes to the U.S. government because he has this sort of lobbying network.”
So rather than go to one of those $20k ($50k nowadays) a plate dinners that are hosted all over the country during campaign season, they spent $120 million through straw donors. Sure.
Nice.
This kind of shit has got to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to that crooked empty suit.
And no one in the Obama campaign was aware of where the money came from. Pras, Low, nor anyone else mentioned it to anyone in the campaign or administration. Sure, Jan.

Stay away from wild mushrooms if you don’t know what you’re doing. A guy I went to highschool with had been collecting them without incident for over a decade but he made a mistake and ended up losing a kidney.
I suspect he was under the influence of a certain type of mushroom and decided to pick a couple more to intensify the experience but still.

Trump whore girl needs institutionalization, no doubt. My preference would be an involuntary committal in a nuthouse but if it takes prison to keep her crazy ass off the street so be it.
I’m already hearing predictions in the media that this incident will bring down the Republican congressman who hired her in the first place. One more lost seat. But a California dem can consort with a Chinese spy and win re-election easily.

New Jersey 2nd. Seems to be Republican friendly.
Unfortunately what she did was graphic and particularly offputting, not as bad as Swalwell having sex but there are pics.
Thanks JI – yeah – unlikely.

It’s a narrative that Mamdani has firmly pushed back on, vowing to carry out his agenda focused on lowering the cost of living.
“My team reached out to the White House to set up this meeting because I will work with anyone to make life more affordable for the more than eight and a half million people who call this city home,” Mamdani told reporters on Thursday. “I have many disagreements with the president, and I believe that we should be relentless and pursue all avenues and all meetings that could make our city affordable for every single New Yorker.”
I hope he offers to wash Trump’s windshield as part of his panhandling routine.
Mammie knows New York City can’t afford his plans.
He claims big business will pay for his plans to “lower the cost of living”. How kind of them!
JFC and his voters are stupid enough to actually believe this.

Why is Trump granting him an audience?

“An Illinois judge ignored a prosecutor’s warnings that the man accused of setting a woman on fire during her commute in Chicago was likely to attack again and allowed him to walk free, court records show.
Cook County Judge Teresa Molina-Gonzalez allowed Lawrence Reed, 50, to be released on an ankle monitor after he assaulted a social worker in August, CBS News reported.
Reed was hit with a federal terrorism charge this week after he allegedly poured gasoline on a 26-year-old woman at random and set her ablaze on the Chicago transit system Monday night….
Reed has been arrested almost 50 times and has had multiple felony convictions over the last three decades.”

I don’t think the perp’s actions count as “terrorism” in my book, but the judge’s definitely do.
Didn’t there used to be prisons for the criminally insane? Wouldn’t mind seeing this judge share a padded cell with Reed.
Giblets for the criminally insane work better.

A continuation of thoughts from last night: Amazon Women on the Moon is not out on free streaming on any major platform. So Thanksgiving will be Kentucky Fried Movie (which I never got to post) and Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (previously posted in 2022) thrown in as a bonus.
Is last night’s movie where they got the idea for Burning Man?
I did not have time to research it, but that does appear to be a link. Not many movies with a big burning man in it to draw inspiration from.
Long read.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-connection-between-the-Wicker-Man-and-the-Burning-Man
No.
“ Julius Caesar wrote about the wicker man in his work “Commentarii de Bello Gallico,” describing it as a large wicker effigy used by the Druids for human and animal sacrifices.”
Probably from this which is also where the movie’s makers got the idea.
I’ll re-watch just for “Rex Kramer: Danger Seeker”
“A Democrat running for Congress to represent Nashville gave a bizarre defense of herself after past comments that she ‘hates’ the Music City suddenly resurfaced.
Aftyn Behn, 35, claimed she’s ‘cried no less than ten times’ in the Country Music Hall of Fame and she went viral for saying she ‘hates’ the Tennessee capital’s tourists and country music.
‘I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all of the things that make Nashville. I hate it,’ Behn can be heard saying in the resurfaced clip from the GRITS podcast in February 2020.
With the caption ‘BREAKING: I DO NOT HATE NASHVILLE LOL,’ Behn posted a nearly two-minute video trying to explain herself Thursday evening, decrying the ‘national GOP’s new attack’ against her as just ‘wild rumors.’
She has also previously called sororities ‘a staple of white supremacy,’ and branded the whole of Tennessee a ‘racist state.'”

She seems nice.
What a great person. She will do wonderful things for the city when she is elected.

This probably won’t harm her chances in the least, if she fills in the right boxes.
I will not fault her for these beliefs.
How does one pedal a tavern?
Not being a country music person it took me more than a few seconds to figure WTH that was.

These things. Usually about the size of a van, with seats around it and patrons pedaling the behemoth down streets that are not designed for it.

She’s a fine, masculine looking woman.

Another SSRI-addled Millenial chick who carved out a living as a professional activist and minor-league politician.
TN-7 is R+10 (it includes Fort Campbell), so you’ll never hear of this chick again after December third.
Aside — I think the endless parades of fat chicks in boots and Daisy Dukes yelling “Woooooooooo” at the top of their lungs all weekend is a silly trend too, but I’m not running for office near Nashville.
I was shocked at how far left Nashville is as well as Clarksville and Ft Campbell. Lots of welfare recipients not biting the hand that feeds them.
ThreeDoor:
Tennessee is really three states. Knoxville is the smart part of the state. The big govt labs and university there attract a lot of smart people.
Memphis is the most populated part of the state. Theoretically Memphis should have a ton of sway in the state, but they spend most of their time fighting amongst themselves. It also doesn’t help that Memphis attracts the rubes from LA, AR, MS, AL and MO. All the hill williams from the Delta go to Memphis to make it big.
Nashville is the state govt. The #1 industry is govt. There is a bit of country music too, but that is just a cover. Fun fact, the studios in Nashville are rented out to pr0n productions when there are no musicians paying. I knew a session musician when I lived in Memphis and he’d go to Nashville every so often to make some extra money. He told me that during breaks, the musicians the pr0n girls would all be outside smoking together.
Nashville weirdly hates music.
I went to two concerts there plus two trips to the opery, one at the Ryman and the crowd atmosphere stank at all four events. Maybe it’s a regional thing but every crowd was low energy compared to shows I’ve been to in the NW. I went to see Motley Crue in Franklin and it was the same way.
The best music venue I ever went to in TN was Beale St. in Memphis. I don’t mean any of the clubs, I mean just walking up and down the street and listening to all the street performers.
At least back in the ’90s it was a great time. You could buy a big paper cup full of beer for $2 and stroll up and down the street. Lots of cute girls and good music to be had without having to go into any of the clubs.
Joyce Cobb’s was my favorite (mostly because I sort of knew her).

I burned through all four seasons of Black Sails. If you’re a fan of gruesome skullduggery (and apparently I am) it’s good dirty fun. Much disbeliefs were suspended. Also prominently featured, strong womynz grrrrl pawr. One primary female character, a lovely yet heartless thing, ruthlessly manipulates everyone she comes in contact with. At some point it occurred to me that she was the walking talking manifestation of the old He Man Woman Haters’ motto: “If you couldn’t fuck ’em there’d be a bounty on ’em.” She didn’t quite make it to the end. Unfortunately, she didn’t wind up swinging on a rope in the town square at the hands of a howling lynch mob, but she did get brutally murdered by a Spaniard. You can’t win them all.
I will give it a watch after I finish with my current series.

Revenge
Last week, a tranche of newly released emails revealed that Summers had, over the course of a decade, corresponded with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including soliciting romantic advice as he pursued an extramarital affair. This week, Summers announced a retreat from public life, including stepping away from his teaching duties at Harvard.
Two decades ago, Summers chastised West for engaging in behavior that could be deemed “embarrassing” to the university or could interfere with his teaching, such as engaging in politics and recording a rap CD. The feud led to West’s resignation from Harvard.
Since leaving Harvard in 2002, West, a public intellectual and activist, has taken faculty positions at Princeton and Union Theological Seminary; he published eight books and recorded a pair of hip-hop albums; he ran for president in 2024.
We all admire and revere Cornell West and want to see him vindicated.
and this is why I gave Summers a pass. Cornell West is far worse than Larry Summers.
“He’s a neoliberal gangster, the way Trump’s a neofascist gangster,” West said of Summers. “There’s not a lot of integrity, honesty and decency. There is a lot of cold-heartedness and mean-spiritedness in both of them, even though they come from different ideological camps.”
West, a devout Christian, quickly qualified his statement. “I don’t say that in order to trash them,” he said. “I think that they both could be better human beings, but they don’t seem to be interested in it too much.”

Leave it in the ground
The Trump administration on Thursday released its plan to open up federal waters off the coast of California to oil drilling, taking a momentous step that state leaders and environmentalists had long expected.
The Interior Department’s proposal, which sets up a direct confrontation with Sacramento on energy and climate change, would also allow drilling in federal waters off the coast of Alaska and the Southeastern U.S.
It would rip up a ban on new offshore drilling in most of these places that President Joe Biden signed a few weeks before he left office. President Trump signed an executive order repealing that ban on his first day in office, and last month, a federal judge in Louisiana ruled Biden had overstepped his authority.
We just need more rooftop solar.
We can just import some more batteries from China.
Getting to the root of it
Former cabinet minister Lord Michael Gove has apologised on behalf of the then-government and Conservative Party for “mistakes made” during the coronavirus pandemic.
In her long-awaited report published, Baroness Hallett says Boris Johnson, the prime minister at the time, oversaw a “toxic and chaotic” culture in No 10 during Covid.
Lord Gove told the BBC’s Today programme some “attitudes” in Downing Street had been “far from ideal” but added that in a crisis “the business of government can’t be carried out in the manner of a Jane Austen novel”.
He also said an earlier lockdown would have been “wiser” but questioned the report’s assertion that it would have meant fewer deaths.
——-
The 800-page inquiry report is highly critical of government decision-making, and says implementing a Covid lockdown a week earlier could have saved 23,000 lives in the first wave in England – although it does not suggest that the overall death toll would have been reduced.
It also says lockdowns could have been avoided if the government had introduced restrictions such as social distancing earlier and concludes lockdowns “only became inevitable because of the acts and omissions of the four governments” in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
They should have panicked earlier and harder? They obviously are learning all the right lessons.
Everyone is convinced of the correctness of their own beliefs. Including right here.
The difference, of course, is that I am actually correct.
“The central premise of Atlas’ show message was aptly captured by the far-right magazine Evie, although the description is meant to be complimentary: The “Gen Z woman” is “an entitled, selfish person who believes that women are oppressed and men are spoiled, and that she should be able to live her life in any way she wants without any consequences.”
While author Gina Florio clearly endorses this depiction, actual statistics say otherwise. Gen Z women participate in the workforce at higher rates than their male counterparts, and often accept jobs they’re overqualified for rather than not working. They have lower rates of unplanned pregnancy and higher levels of education, on average, than women of older generations. Broadly speaking, these are responsible, industrious, independent women — and it seems clear that those qualities make some men irrationally angry, perhaps because those women don’t need men for financial security. But in propaganda terms, hating women for being awesome is a pretty tough sell. So Whatever offers a fictional alternate universe in which women are lazy, irresponsible, entitled and sexually promiscuous.”

Women are oppressed because they better educated and have less unemployment.
Is it really a better education? Or were tey merely stuck in academia longer accuring debt for useless degrees?
Useless would be an improvement. If you got a degree in underwater basket weaving, it was useless but harmless. A degree in grievance studies is useless and inflicts severe damage to your cognitive abilities.
I remember when I was a teen boy and was concerned with being radical. I no longer have any skateboards though.
Blah blah blah the whole point is the destruction of the family – all that other blather about jobs and education is irrelevant to the actual goals of Salon and friends.
Propping up girls and tearing down boys was a means to get there.
Of course one can be “educated”/credentialed and employed, and still be “an entitled, selfish person who believes that women are oppressed and men are spoiled, and that she should be able to live her life in any way she wants without any consequences.”
Naturally, add the simple modifier “some” (or even “many”, if you want to piss people off) to “Gen Z women” to avoid over-generalization.
It’s not restricted to ‘Gen-Z’, as that archetype has been around for a while, but it is more popular in recent decades.
Always the bait and switch between “insurance” and “health care”
For Democrats, the only option is to extend the subsidies.
“Donald Trump and Republicans’ ideas about checks and HSAs are nonstarters for Democrats because they are deeply flawed and woefully insufficient for our nation’s health care problems. If Republicans push these flawed policies, they will go nowhere in the Senate,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on the Senate floor.
The last thing any of those clowns want to do is address the failures of the health care market.
And the Repubs will let yet another reform die (like election reform is dead as a doorknob at the federal level) by hiding behind the Current Day version of the filibuster.
Go back to the original filibuster, which was a technique for delaying legislation, not permanently blocking it. If the current Senators are too indolent to actually hold the floor for any length of time, just set a limit on the current “silent” filibuster of, say, a week.
But, why?
To light up your face so the other guy can spot you in the dark.
Yeah, the judge is going to be really impressed with your defense when you shot somebody in the dark.
SIG is running a holiday sale where they’re tossing in a pistol light when you buy an optic.
But then I’d have to buy new holsters to accommodate the additional accessories
I’ve about decided against mounting lights on my weapons. While it is possible to run a weapon-mounted light without muzzling anyone, it seems like you very likely will. I can shoot both my handgun and my shotgun with a handheld light (with some penalty to accuracy on the handgun).
Don’t point a gun at people.
