The Cowboys inexplicably came back and beat the Eagles. The Browns won with Shedeur (although it’s the Raiders). The Steelers lost and Ravens won, which moved Balmer into first in the division. And the Chiefs also pulled out a win. This NFL season is nuts. And speaking of nuts, the Las Vegas Grand Prix was anything but nuts. It was boring. The post-race inspections, on the other hand, went off the rails and the two McLarens were DQ’d and the championship goes to the last two races with Max and Piastri both 24 points back of Lando Norris. The next two weeks should be, or could be anyway, wild. And that’s it for sports.
“Sorry we made your city safer by arresting people who commit crimes.” I guess they’ll just let them all out again, which is what cities seem to think is the appropriate response to crime nowadays. At least that’s what the arrest and incarceration stats say.
As a former military officer, he should know that his statement equally applies to his own words. Was he calling for outright sedition? Perhaps. Was he trying to foment dissent in the military? Probably. Is he doing all this for political gain? Without a doubt.
This might be the least surprising news ever. The only thing less shocking will be when we inevitably find out that the UN was feeding and supplying the terrorists.
Stay out of the cities. Well, some of them anyway.
I’ll believe it when I see it. But make no mistake: I would really like to see it.
That’s how bonuses work. So go cry somewhere else.
This is fascism. Not by any real definition of the word, but I’m still gonna call it that.
Boo-fucking-hoo. Sorry you might have to jump through a couple different hoops for all your free shit. Maybe if you had learned a little self-reliance over the past hundred and fifty years the programs wouldn’t even be necessary.
“The death must continue!” Not deaths of the families of the writers, mind you. But of the innocent people conscripted by both sides and thrown into the meat grinder. And the NYT demands they all die for…something.
And last but not least, a weird one. Crazy stuff.
Always worth a listen. Just a classic. And so is this one. Enjoy them both.
And enjoy this first weekday of Hate Week. Go Bucks, Beat TTUN.

And for all the sturm and drang over DOGE, what did they accomplish? They showed us the tip of the fraud and waste iceberg in DC, and then … the legislature preserved the status quo, with Trump’s complicity.
They showed how easy it was to find low-hanging fruit to cut, and proved that Congress is lying when they say they can’t find anywhere left to cut.
Showed us that a huge chunk of our national budget is fraud and both sides know it. The Intel agencies control far more than their own budget. The $37 Trillion of debt is mostly fraud.
We aren’t voting our way out of it.
They killed like 100 billionty poor people in third world countries.
Words fail at the slanderous accusations from pro-crime racist fucks like this.
I’ll paraphrase their words:
These people you’re arresting reliably vote for us. We can’t have that, so we’ll call it racism. If the price of us getting power is more violent crime against the hoi polloi, it’s a price we’re willing to pay.”
Or, it’s a price they’re willing for you to pay.
Not sure how you can have law enforcement in a majority-black city that doesn’t “target minorities”, and that’s without even getting to the part where minorities disproportionately commit crimes, or the part where most illegals are minorities.
If it’s a majority black city and majority of arrestees are black, it’s not impacting minorities, it’s impacting the majority.
If arresting criminals targets minorities there are several solutions to the problem, but not arresting criminals is the dumbest one.
Democrats are not “soft” on crime. They are pro-crime.

More than 2,800 people have been arrested and more than 28,000 traffic citations have been issued, data provided by the task force and Memphis police shows.
Uffda. The Feds were issuing traffic citations?
I would bet that they’d run out of blank tickets in a week or so if they simply enforced no running red lights. When people would visit, I’d have to warn them that in Memphis it is “2 cars per red”, not “2 cars per yellow”. Only a fool would dare turn left when the light turned red. Especially since car insurance is optional in Memphis.
In NYC, the plan when DeBlasio was around was to close jails so they literally had no choice but to let criminals roam free. He didn’t quite get there (Rikers is still open) but an even more radical commie is waiting in the wings to make those dreams come true.
I was trying to think of the more peaceful recourse, but I’d actually rather see the mob swarm Gracie manor and tear mayor jihadi limb from limb when he begins dumping more criminals back on the street.
Are you kidding? His honor will have all that remains of NY’s finest defending those barricades.
And?
“We are concerned that thousands of air traffic controllers who consistently reported for duty during the shutdown, ensuring the safe transport of passengers and cargo across the nation, while working without pay and uncertain of when they would receive compensation, were excluded from this recognition. More than 311 of these dedicated professionals were instrumental in keeping America moving,” the union said in a statement.
Only the people who actually “consistently reported for duty” are getting the bonuses, union dipshit.
“Most of the time” counts as consistent for unions. For government unions, the expectations are probably even lower than that.
I’m puzzled as to why organized “sick-outs” are tolerated. They are a form of fraud, after all.
They should be and even this time the unions told persons to knock it off.
Outside of my normal grumble, I question the criteria on which it is being applied.
Out of 15K controllers and 6k technicians, only 300 and 400 respectively?
I know 4 here that were here everyday except for the two forced furlough days that were holidays.
In fairness, my understanding is that it excludes people who had preapproved days off (vacation days or whatnot), which doesn’t seem right. If you showed up to work every day you were expected to be there, you should qualify.
“Was he calling for outright sedition? Perhaps.”
That was a puzzling ad. You don’t make such a forceful ad just to remind people of a truism. It’s hard to see their intent as anything other than inciting officers to disobey orders currently being given, although of course they didn’t, and won’t, say which orders are illegal. And they can’t seriously expect a bunch of officers to suddenly rise up and start refusing orders from OMB.
Because what they actually said is a truism, they really can’t/won’t be prosecuted, but their intent was clearly seditious. Meaning comes from context, after all. Confident prediction: there will be no consequences.
I wonder what Senator Lost on Jeopardy to a Dumb Jock thinks of Joe Biden’s red-lit Philadelphia speech.
Yeah, the object was to stir shit up. “Smash the system”, if you will. Sowing uncertainty and doubt is part of the playbook.
Did any of these Stalwart Defenders Of The Constitution have anything to say about Obama’s drone strikes on actual U.S. citizens? No? Then I would consider hanging to be too good for them.
The funny part is that there is a group called the Oathkeepers that started up during Chocolate Nixon’s administration that was essentially promoting the same concept.
“IT’S NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL. THEY WERE ICKY AND HE WAS THE MESSIAH!!!”
The Oathkeepers existed back as far as Clinton.
It reminded me of when Obama’s Iran Deal was in the works, and a bunch of Republican Senators ran an ad reminding everyone that treaties need to be approved by the Senate.
All my lefty friends wanted those Senators hung for treason, of course.
I wonder how many of these six are semi-active/reserve members of the Armed Forces? And I also wonder for those who are not, how much can be striped away from them re rank and benefits?
Because that is what I would do posthaste. Reservist who took part in this should be busted down and out of the force they serve in, and inactive should be striped of all rank and privilege. All should be considered dishonorable.
Down to E1 and turning big rocks into small ones.
Good morning!
I only played Fallout 1 & 2. I do have some money in my Steam account.
I’ve been watching the Rurouni Kenshin remake (no idea who remade it) on Netflix. It’s actually improved! Very few/no tweaks to the storyline from the original.
Which remake? They made that series a dozen different times.
I double checked, a lot of those were movies, only the two tv series.
Yeah, AFAIK, this is the only remake TV series.
And example of a minor tweak that I think improves things: In the OG Kenshin is told by the exposition fairy that a replacement sakabato exists and he goes to get it at the shrine where it’s housed. In the remake, he goes to the shrine for a kind of convoluted (but narratively consistent!) reason and gets his replacement during the fight there. Then there is a flashback (not present in the original) that not only explains why there are two of them but why Kenshin got his original one.
New Vegas is worth playing, and tries to jump the FO1/2 story far enough ahead to make sense. It also involves the NCR.
Don’t listen to Mr Ilium.
National Cash Register, a wonderful Dayton company my late grandfather and namesake worked for and retired from, is featured in a video game?
sloopyinca:
The New California Republic. The rag tag group of people that you gathered and kicked off in Fallout 1 who had blossomed into a regional government by Fallout 2.
Sloopy, if you ever pass through Dayton on your way to or from The Shoe, Carillon/Dayton Historical Park has a magnificent collection of classic cash registers that NCR dumped on them before they blew town./not at all bitter
NV is worth it. There are no good guys is the motif and is how it should be.
I liked FO3 better than NV. I’m weird, I know.
Something that would be awesome just from a nostalgia perspective – I’d love to see a FO2 remake with all of the stuff in the developer notes, that was cut due to time/budget concerns, added back in.
I tried Fallout 2 a couple times, just could not get into it. If the game play is different in 3, 4 and/or NV, maybe I could try one of those, if I can get them on sale.
3 and NV were available for Amazon Prime members on Luna. Not sure if they are still free.
I am a good way through a replay of FO4, trying for a very comprehensive playthrough (all bobble heads, all magazines, every suit of power armor I can lay my mitts on, an example of every weapon in the game hanging on my wall) that doesn’t involve killing off any of the factions (except the Institute – fuck those guys). This was interrupted when Bugthesda rolled out their last update and borked a bunch of mods. Including, incredibly, the one mod everyone has – the unofficial bugfix patch (which should have just been rolled into the update anyway – why Bugthesda doesn’t do that, I have no clue).
Fortunately, they seem to have fixed it this past week.
I must destroy both the railroad and the institute. Both have committed atrocities against the commonwealth I cannot forgive.
I’m annoyed I can’t wipe out the minutemen, since they’re the failsafe faction to allow for the completion of the main questline.
My current playthrough, if it stops freezing, is an Enclave one… so I’ll probably finally destroy the Brotherhood.
I love mods, but mods don’t love me.
Have you tried offering the mods presents? Raclette, tOSU tickets, wine, ammo, and bears would probably work, sorry Banjos no idea what to get you.
What atrocities did the Railroad commit?
It unleashed all of those synths on the commonwealth that would otherwise have been contained.
I thought you could finish the main quest line by siding with the Institute. I haven’t gone that route. Seems like it would require that the Brotherhood and the Railroad both be wiped out. Not sure about the Minutemen.
It’s in case you are trigger happy and attack everybody, the Minutemen characters are essential and don’t get hostile.
Pretty sure it’s the Institute unleashing synths on the Commonwealth. The Railroad seems to be involved in smuggling them out of the Commonwealth.
Sounds like you would go with a Brotehrhood finish, wiping out both the Institute and the Railroad.
The Railroad exacerbates the problem wherever they send them.
I only used the brotherhood to purge DiMA.
I wouldn’t have thought you were a robophobe, UnCiv. 😉
🤖🔫😠
I hate all factions in the game, and almost always end up with the Minuteman ending. If the game actually allowed you to control the faction you end up ‘boss’ of I’d pick the Institute every time and actually start rebuilding the world, but that is not an option. The Railroad committed the atrocity of having a completely retarded conception of what it means to be human. I’m not even mad that they want to save the Clankers. You can make an argument that the Clankers should have rights. What you cannot do is pretend you are saving an artificial intelligence by mind wiping it and creating a new one.
I played a bit of FO 1 when it came out. I am loosely aware of the other games. I enjoyed the series well enough, except for the “big reveal” near the end of season one that made zero fucking sense to me. I, like others, am also puzzled by the “everything is always 5 minutes (or maybe 5 months) after the apocalypse”.
Warmongers are going to have a field day struggling to come up with flapdoodle more outrageous than what Friedman vomits up so effortlessly.
The commentators are nearly all retarded. 20:1
I’ve been reading (with great amusement) about the “glitch” on X that exposed the locations (by country) of all accounts, revealing that there are huge numbers of politically oriented accounts that aren’t what they claim to be. Gazans and IDF soldiers reporting atrocities who are nowhere the ME, lots of “America Firsters” pushing for H1B visas from India, etc.
I don’t know why X doesn’t just show country of origin all the time. Maybe an option to hide it, and one that shows known VPN users hiding their location.
On one hand, I get why not but I think if its a verifed account have the location. If it is a government account, the posting must include the actual staffer(s) posting it.
Sure, let people switch it off. But if you’re claiming to be an American, a Gazan or Israeli on the ground in Gaza, etc., that’s going to be a big (and deserved) red flag.
100% agree
“Glitch” lol
It sure was enlightening. Hopefully enough to make people think twice before spreading more BS around.
Lolololol. If anything it further entrenched both sides when they were all exposed as frauds
What I’ve seen is that the reports of atrocities in Gaza were largely fraudulent, and that lots of “MAGA” accounts pushing anti-Semitic and unlimited H1Bs were also fraudulent. Not sure how that’s both sides.
Of course, maybe there’s lots of pro-Israel and pro-Trump accounts that are also frauds. I just haven’t seen that in the reports I’ve read.
I saw a bunch of “super MAGA” accounts that are showing as being from India and parts of Africa.
Of course there were always a bunch of suspicions about them based on how they talked and their questionable pfp’s. So they weren’t really much of a surprise.
The location information should be made permanantly visible for transparency’s sake.
They should also provide a graph of the location data on the likes and replies too.
“I saw a bunch of “super MAGA” accounts that are showing as being from India and parts of Africa.”
What were those accounts pushing, though? Kill the Jews and open the borders?
Didn’t read the article, but I’m guessing the authors are unaware of VPNs.
Glitch? I thought it was a new feature?

This concoction lowers the 4.2 per cent ABV of a pint of Guinness to around 1.7 per cent ABV.
That’s not even worth drinking.
I’ve known quite a few people who dropped shots into pints of Guinness (especially on St. Patrick’s Day) to fortify it.
I thought bombing the beer with whiskey was the approved method of drinking it.
Pour out the beer, pour the whiskey into a shot glass, and drink the whiskey straight.
GIMME A BOILAMAKA!
No, ted, you need the disgusting flavor of the beer to cover the vomitous flavor of the whiskey.
All of you are thinking about the
Irish Car BombIrish Cocktail. I haven’t seen someone order one of those in many years. These are people ordering shots of vodka (occasionally flavored, such as vanilla) and pouring it into their Guinness.Relevant
It’s a car bomb, and the shot glass goes in the pint glass.
Ruining a perfectly good beer with a vodka top, is one of the reasons I hate the English.
Not a fan of Boilermakers either, which might be odd for a Purdue guy…
Lacist!
Why not consider somaek? Or are you prejudiced against Asian drinks?
I drank a lot of somaek during my last trip. It makes the soju somewhat palatable.
Irish Car Bombs, in NI, will win you no friends at the bars. And Black and Tans will have the same effect in the Republic.
4.2 is a little lighter.
Keep this shit up, and I’ll start hating the Irish more than the English. It’s already nearly neck-and-neck.
Guinness export stout is something like 7%? 9%? can’t remember.
It’s good.
I would drink it, as you could suck down a dozen or so and still be OK to function.
I’m regretting that I posted that dreck from the NYT when this dreck is 10x more dreckier than the dreck I posted.
“Won’t somebody think of the poor identity thieves” is a hell of a way to present a story.
!
Nice framing
What’s a little identity theft between
friendsstrangers?Oh hell that article is…amazing
Is that the crook who stole the honest guy’s identity?
No that was the OG guy…
This is the thief
It’s incredible.
I have no idea what they think the reason we to the article will be. Sure, there are multiple victims in this saga, but none of them are the guy who literally stole the lives of other people in his own pursuit of happiness. He’s a villain.
See he was taxed! Its just the real person had to pay them!
Mind you, he was only able to drive because he stole new identities after his multiple DUIs and deportations.
Also, it’s interesting how they blame a broken serpentine belt, causing him to lose control of a car at a red light and plow into a kid and old person on a motorized tricycle, for his undoing.
Fuck that guy every way from Sunday. And fuck the lazy ass IRS agents who never bothered to help the guy who was clearly unable to have been working all the jobs they were dinging him for when the other guy never once filed a return to reconcile his taxes properly, which flies in the face of the writer’s claim that he had been paying taxes and social security. Had he been doing so for the correct amount, the other guy wouldn’t have been fucked into owing all those back taxes.
Just a survival tactic. The poor dears.
OFFS! The pic of him deep in prayer is a nice touch. 🙄
Bravo? So, Queer Eye for the Immigrant Guy?
“borrowed”
Hey man, can I borrow your identity?
It worked out for that guy in Gattaca.
The identity loaner was consenting to that plan in that case.
Gattaca is one of the best SF movies made since Blade Runner.
I have never seen Gattaca.
“License and registration, please,” the officer said.
Already calling BS. Cops only ask for your license and proof of insurance. Never asked for registration. Your tabs are your registration as far as the cops care.
“He had never fired a gun, or smoked a cigarette”
Dude was boring.
Why the fuck does a building need a cultural narrative for design features?
For people with deadweight loss degrees to parasitize the budget.
Cultural narrative for all buildings: We got cold in winter, hot in summer and our stuff got wet when it rained. So some smart dudes figured out that we could stack stuff up, fasten it somehow and make an enclosed space where we and our stuff could stay dry and out of the sun/wind.
Good morning fellow insomniacs.
I dislocated my knee Saturday and thus in a fair amount of pain. Getting fitted for a proper brace later today.
Am anxiously awaiting word on my job interview…holiday week might screw that up though
Now what are you trying to blow up?
Get well soon!
blow up
Unfortunate phrasing when it comes to a knee injury? Or do you know something about HE that we don’t?
Hope you are feeling better soon 🙂
OW!
Next time, when you knee-drop some deserving asshole, aim for the soft spots instead of the head. 😀
Get well soon!
Nice to hear from you Hayek! Good luck and get well.
How did you dislocate your knee?
That sounds horrifically painful, best of luck on your recovery.
Minnesota should start marketing their 3.2 beer nationwide. That piss water should go over big with the pussies who want a drink, but want just a wee bit of alcohol, but not quite none in their drinks.
Just drink mouthwash at that point
Bonus points for being able to buy 3.2 beer right in the grocery store!

victory in Putin’s savage and misbegotten war against Ukraine’s people, which has been an utter failure — morally, militarily, diplomatically and economically — was delivered to Russia not by the superiority of its arms or the virtue of its claims, but by an American administration.
A nuthouse with typewriters.
I said at the beginning that Russia would lose the war. Except, they won’t lose it as fast as Ukraine will lose it.
Russia has lost… all credibility but nuclear.
Nonsense, we wouldn’t do much better in similar circumstances. Warfare has changed and the days of massive territorial gains without a slog against anything but the most pathetic of opposition is a thing of the past.
I agree that warfare has become a negative sum game (a lose-lose proposition for all parties). But, that doesn’t mean that all parties lose equally.
Unless you want to go scorched earth, this is what combat looks like. And, most likely, always looked like.
Remember, the North didn’t win until Sherman’s March, bringing total warfare to the South.

“The 26-year-old woman who cops said was set on fire by a lunatic with a lengthy rap sheet on a Chicago L train earlier this month has been identified as Bethany MaGee.
“It is devastating that a career criminal with 72 PRIOR ARRESTS is now accused of attacking 26-year-old Bethany MaGee on Chicago’s L train, and setting her on fire,” US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said on social media Sunday.
“This would never have happened if this thug had been behind bars. Yet Chicago lets repeat offenders roam the streets,” Duffy said of suspect Lawrence Reed, 50, who is facing federal terrorism charges in connection with the senseless fire attack.”

This shit is way out of hand.
did anyone blame white supremacy yet?
Honestly is it still correctable? Cause it does not seem so…
We need a 70 strikes and you’re out law or 60 if you want to be harsh. Maybe a pathway to sue judges civilly when they have their heads too far up their asses when they make decisions.
The MSM would still find someone who had been sent to prison for shop lifting a pack of gum and that was his 71st conviction.
The entire story would be outrage over how this poor sap was going to do hard time over some trivial crime. The story would never list the prior 60 violent offenses.
I used to live up the street from where the crime that precipitated CA’s three strike law took place, and, believe me, people wanted that to go into effect.
“A rowdy mob beat a Queens couple and set a car ablaze when the residents and other locals tried to stop a wild car meet-up in their neighborhood early Sunday, according to the victims and video.”
No mention of any arrests.
Sloopy’s bonus I D theft story:
I had to stop reading that. Based on the “literary” style in which it is written, I expected a surprise plot twist in which the two men with the same name and the same social security number would discover they were working side by side in the same place, jacking off minotaurs. They would have no choice but to fall in love and live happily ever after.

“A convicted Texas bank robber has been arrested for trying to rob the same bank that led to him being locked up in federal prison for nearly a decade.
Christopher McKay, 43, allegedly stormed into a Fort Worth Wells Fargo at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, threatening employees that he was armed with a handgun and demanding money, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a press release.
However, his heist did not go as planned, and he fled on foot without any cash, police said.”
https://nypost.com/2025/11/24/us-news/texas-bank-robber-arrested-after-trying-to-rob-same-branch-nearly-a-decade-later/
He persisted.
It’s not his fault, he searched “bank” on Waze and that’s the one that popped up.
That was my first thought, then I read the article and saw the picture.
JHC!
His remaining brain cell could only remember he went to that bank before, but couldn’t remember anything that happened after that.
I had to look. That is some serious brain damage, visible in the face.
That’s Quentin Tarantino
Guess he’s lucky that Waze didn’t send him to Big Bob’s Discount Sperm Bank.
Could have gotten himself into a sticky situation.
“This time for sure!”
You. Don’t. Say.
(I’m curious why they dispatched an ambulance for suspect with opioid withdrawal, even assuming he wasn’t faking. There are drugs that will kill or injure you if you stop taking them too fast, but fentanyl isn’t one of them.)
“Greta Thunberg has been banned from Venice after dumping green dye in the Grand Canal in a stunt alongside Extinction Rebellion activists.
The 22-year-old climate campaigner was issued with a €150 (£130) fine and a 48-hour restriction on entering the northeastern Italian city after multiple protests over the weekend.”
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15320983/Greta-Thunberg-banned-Venice-dumping-green-dye-canal.html
They should have deported her to Gaza.
Just $150 fine? If one union guy goes out and scrubs a green stain for ten minutes it costs more than that. That is laughable.
Ban generally refers to a time period more than 48 hours as well.
An inspiring victory for the egghead consensus
Born of crisis but torn by years of tensions among its members, the Group of 20 major economies scored a rare victory this weekend for multilateralism after overcoming the boycott and objections of its most powerful member, the United States.
South Africa, this year’s G20 president, rallied all but two member nations – the U.S. and Argentina – to issue a declaration, ignoring Washington’s warnings and quelling questions about the G20’s future – at least for now.
Many doubted Pretoria would secure a declaration, much less tackle issues such as helping poor nations cope with climate change and external debt.
That success strengthened a body which for years was struggling to reach meaningful agreements – and highlighted the power of multilateralism when it seemed in retreat, researchers and delegates said.
Everyone agrees. The US is a pariah and an outcast.
Everyone agrees they want the US to fund their plans.
Born of what crisis?
Issued a declaration to do what?
They all agreed to fly to a different trendy part of the world next year, party for a few days, and tell the common rabble they need to eat bugs and turn off their AC.
“Neville Chamberlain”
Yes, raise that bullshit again to keep the grift going. More unnecessary destruction, death (not of their own though so who gives a fuck), and more pissing away money straight into the pockets of some of the worst people on the face of the planet.
As much as I hate these people it’s just not enough. We’ve got to support the Banderites to defeat the new Hitler is just so fucking ridiculous.
Everyone blames Chamberlain, but they never think about the fact that 15 years before this was WWI.
After he saw an entire generation of young men destroyed, I can understand why he was eager to avoid war and appease Hitler.
It didn’t work and maybe he should have been more aware of Hitler’s ambition, but it is easy to judge that from our current position.
Judging people by the standards and information that they had at the time is racist. Or something.
As of late it’s just a slur used to motivate leaders into unnecessary wars and military adventurism, an easy thing to advocate for when there’s zero personal risk.
If the Allies had invaded Germany in 1933 it all could have been avoided …
The declaration tackled issues such as climate and renewable energy that often divide G20 members. It proposed the first global panel to address inequality.
“This is the first meeting of world leaders … which put the inequality emergency at the centre of the international agenda,” Nabil Ahmed, Senior Director of Economic Justice at international charity Oxfam, told Reuters.
Just as long as Oxfam gets what they want. That’s the definition of success.

Seems like navy and airforce officers tend to be the worst for being anti American fascist types.
At one point, I turned down a ROTC scholarship. (I was pretty sure I was on my way to the NFL via a small D3 school). I’m so glad I did. If I had become an officer, I don’t think I would have realized what an obnoxious tool I was.
I only learned about it when I enlisted. I was lucky enough to serve with mustangs and warrant officers, but still got my doses of regular officers.
Fourscore doesn’t realize how much I like him. He’s an ex-zero and I’m still willing to hang out with him. That’s saying something.

the Las Vegas Grand Prix was anything but nuts. It was boring.
Not surprising. Was it on ABC?
I didn’t didn’t even know it was a Saturday night race. I watched the girls’ races on youtube. They actually had passing for position on track. Speaking of support series, what the fuck happened to F2 and F3? They don’t even put highlight clips on youtube any more.
“Whenever people on the right criticize Owens or Carlson for pushing these conspiracy theories or anti-semitic rhetoric, they accuse their detractors of being “Zionists” who want to draw the U.S. into “a forever war with Iran.” This is stolen valor, of course, as they’re cynically appropriating the moral authority of progressives who object to the Gaza war on humanitarian grounds. But as progressives have shown, one can object to Israel’s genocidal assault on Palestinians without engaging in anti-semitic conspiracy theories….”

“After Kirk’s death, TPUSA swiftly anointed his wife, Erika Kirk, as the organization’s new leader. At the time, I predicted she’d fail because her previous role was always as his brand-polishing faux-housewife. There’s no evidence she’s a talented organizer in her own right. But I couldn’t predict how bizarre her flailing would be, especially after she publicly hugged Vance in a way that stoked widespread rumors that the two are more than friends.”
widespread rumors?
Read that as, ‘…widespread rumors among Progressive Reddit.’
Contrived rumors (ie lies)…they don’t believe what they’re peddling.
Maybe we should call it the “insensitive bastard”
So what exactly is in the infamous drink? The beverage includes a shot glass with equal parts Jameson Irish Whiskey and Baileys Irish cream, which is then dropped into a pint of Guinness. Despite the name, the drink didn’t originate in Ireland, but in America. It was first served in 1979 at Wilson’s Saloon in Norwich, CT. The “bomb” reference alludes to the bubbling and splashing that happens when the shot glass is dropped into the pint—but its historical association is problematic, to say the least.
The cocktail’s name refers to a decades-long period of violence in Northern Ireland, with tensions deeply rooted in the history of Ireland and its colonization by Great Britain starting in the late 12th century. Centuries of conflict later, the island was split into the independent Republic of Ireland and British-ruled Northern Ireland. Beyond the difference in governments, the two territories were largely divided over religious lines—Catholics living primarily in Ireland and most Protestants in Northern Ireland.
However, Catholic communities still lived in Northern Irish cities like Belfast and Derry and raised issues of systemic discrimination by the Protestant-controlled government. These conflicts came to a head in 1968, followed by a period known by many as the Troubles. The next 30 years were filled with sectarian violence, with the paramilitary group IRA regularly using car bombs as weapons. One day in 1972, known as Bloody Friday, involved the detonation of over 20 car bombs in Belfast. The events of that day, which killed nine people and left 130 people injured, remain a dark and painful moment in the region’s history.
Now tell us what’s in a “kneecapper”.
Mine’s a Black & Tan.
Quite a few people were unaware that even that drink name had some… unfortunate… history associated with it.
You know what this country needs? Moar surveillance!!
Yes, yes, vaping is so bad that we need to give up all our privacy to stop teens from engaging in it.
Kids used to be able to smoke in High School.
In my high school the boys would cross the street to smoke. The girls smoked in the bathroom.
Any guy trying to smoke in the bathroom was bounced and told to go across the street. The smoking crew across the street was in full view of the Principle’s office and the secretaries, but no one hassled them.
Off the school grounds. Back before administrations decided they had 100% control over every kid’s life 24/7.
kinnath:
Quite a few students at my high school were not permitted to graduate publicly because they got caught smoking cigarettes outside at the mandatory after prom. We could also be punished at school for behavior off school grounds if we could be identified as students (wearing school garb and the like)
“Off the school grounds. ”
It was allowed on school grounds as late as the 80’s, but as far as I know, not inside the building.
We had a gravel lot for the smokers. They paved it and then picked them out.

Boo-fucking-boo
Eliminate every tribal treaty.
No.
Should have fought harder pussies.
Interesting. The EEOC went scorched earth on Northwestern Mutual. The company stonewalled so they broadly asked for just about everything DEI related in the whole company.

There was more detail in a bunch of paywalled articles.
If the Allies had invaded Germany in 1933 it all could have been avoided …
And pushed on to Moscow.
An in-depth investigation by The 74 reveals how nicotine-addicted teens, who often begin vaping under social pressure or, like Gutierrez, to cope with hardship, are routinely kicked out of school instead of receiving meaningful services that could steer them away from tobacco and help them break free of their vape pens.
Vaping is a symptom of gender dysphoria. Get those kids the gender affirming medical care they so desperately need.
Do smoking cigars next.
Wait! What? You’re telling me that you are supposed to smoke cigars?

It’s only 10 am and my day has already slipped into BizarroWorld.
My husband left on an errand at 8:00. Almost IMMEDIATELY, my doorbell rings. dafuq. There’s this kid who I think is selling magazines, but it’s way too early in the morning for that. He’s barely audible. He wants to know if the school bus came by. DUDE, NO IT DIDN’T COME BY. I’M AT THE END OF A LONG CUL-DE-SAC AND THE BUS STOP IS AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CUL-DE-SAC. YOU KNOW THIS.
There are cars everywhere around this cul-de-sac. Why did you come to the END of it to find someone to ask who would have no idea? Why did you pick ME?
I do not know.
Anyway, he said he had to dart into his house really quick and the school bus left him behind. FFS. I asked him if his parents were home. No. Okay, fine. Get in the car. I’ll take you to school.
THEN THEN THEN my husband says, “You’re a touch.” NO I AM NOT STOP THAT.
“The Seattle City Council has voted to prohibit taxpayer funds from being used to purchase or distribute drug-use supplies such as pipes and foil, marking a significant shift in the city’s approach to harm-reduction strategies. The measure, known as HSD-057-A, places a strict proviso on the Human Services Department (HSD) budget, effective for the 2026 fiscal year.”

How destitute does someone have to be that they can’t afford a bit of aluminum foil?
“Trans ‘Slender Man’ stabber captured after fleeing group home, cutting gps tracker
Geyser pleaded guilty in 2017 to attempted first-degree intentional homicide for stabbing Payton Leutner 19 times.
The woman who was convicted in the 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing has been caught after a manhunt ensued for her. Morgan Geyser was able to escape after she cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and fled from a group home in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday night. Earlier in 2025, it was revealed that Geyser had begun identifying as a transgender male.”

Looks like Guardian, CNN, etc. are reporting “woman” and “she/her”.
“Attention is back on the family of 16-year-old Oklahoma teen Dagny “Nex” Benedict after surfaced records confirmed the teen’s father, convicted years ago of raping Benedict as a child, now identifies as transgender and is registered as a female sex offender, reports Exulansic.
The Distance Magazine showed that James Everette Hughes, who assaulted Benedict when she was nine, has since changed his legal name to Chloe Elizabeth and is listed as “female” on the national sex offender registry. Hughes served five years for the 2019 conviction and received a 10-year suspended sentence.
Dagny Benedict died last year from a Prozac and Benadryl overdose, according to the coroner’s report. Her death became a national story, with major outlets framing it as a case tied to bullying, gender identity, and Oklahoma’s policies on biological sex. Benedict had identified as non-binary and had complained for months about harassment at Owasso High School.”

A chorus of tut-tutters
An Australian far-right lawmaker wore a burqa to Parliament on Monday, drawing outrage from fellow senators who accused her of racism.
Senator Pauline Hanson appeared in the burqa, a full-face covering worn by some Muslim women, after being denied permission to introduce a bill that would ban them in public.
Lawmakers erupted in anger as Hanson entered the chamber, and Senate proceedings were suspended when she refused to remove the garment.
Genocide. Alert the International Human Rights Tribunal.
Brooks, someone swapped a Goldwing six into a VW Superbeetle.
I’ve seen that. The kid needs to work on his presentation, but that’s impressive. The noise it makes is muy bueno.
I’d like more technical details, like how he’s getting the power to the ground.
Looks like he’s using the gold wing transmission to a “custom differential” transaxle.
I wonder why he didn’t make a bellhousing adaptor and use the VW transaxle.
