IFLA: The “Overproduced Ear Candy” Edition of the Horoscope for the Week of March 29

by | Mar 29, 2026 | IFLA | 30 comments

Blame the music on TedS posting Roxette. This led me down a nostalgic rabbithole of good times I had with various women who were deeply into this type of music.

This week the skies are more laid-back. Most of the action is driving by the Moon, which is a major planet but famous for its effects being short-lived. Monday (moon-day) it’s giving “good luck at home” while working with Mercury. It also goes full in Virgo, which builds off of its start in Leo to increase the overall feminine energy. April kicks off with Venus crossing into Taurus which traditionally would be good for herders but in modern interpretation has more to do with androphiles getting lucky.

Aries: Ace of Swords reversed – Excessive fore leading to disaster.

Taurus: 5 of Cups – Loss, but something remains, inheritance, patrimony, transmission, but not corresponding to expectations.

Gemini: King of Swords – Judgment, power, command, authority.

Cancer: 2 of Coins – Games, recreation, amusement, news and messages in writing, obstacles, agitation, trouble, embroilment.

Leo: Queen of Cups – Good, fair woman; honest, devoted woman, who will do service to the Querent; loving intelligence, and hence the gift of vision; success, happiness, pleasure; also wisdom, virtue; a perfect spouse and a good mother.

Virgo: Judgement reversed – Weakness, pusillanimity, simplicity; also deliberation, decision, sentence.

Libra: 7 of Wands reversed – Perplexity, embarrassments, anxiety. It is also a caution against indecision.

Scorpio: 10 of Cups reversed – Repose of the false heart, indignation, violence.

Sagittarius: Strength – Power, energy, action, courage, magnanimity, complete success, honors.

Capricorn: The World – Assured success, recompense, voyage, route, emigration, flight, change of place.

Aquarius: 8 of Wands – Activity in undertakings, great haste, great hope, love.

Pisces: Page of Coins – Application, study, scholarship, news, messages and the bringer thereof, rule, management.

      And the opposition’s rebuttal:

“Your current focus may be on your financial situation, but over the next few days, the cosmic picture will change and you will find yourself looking for ways to expand your enjoyment of life, whatever the cost. Keep a big smile on your face.”

I thought Lindsay Sterling was teh shit when she first hip-hopped onto the scene, but her schtick got real old real quick.

I like that Muse song, and XX is a Muse fan. I have heard nothing else of their work but “Uprising.” Generally speaking, I like a lot of overproduced pop/rock. Skittles for my ears, chock full of sugar and citric acid.

Last night Imwas scrolling through a classical music Twitter account (https://x.com/old_but_gold50s?s=21&t=h5BOKTRU9mc6OIfm7REElw) that posts really unique performances, and this was one: https://x.com/Old_But_Gold50s/status/2037756568821772330?s=20 (I couldn’t find this on any other platform except Insta, sorry.) However, that pianist went into Ferrante & Teicher mode for about 2 bars, which kinda made me cringe.

Muse has a couple pretty good albums.

My boy loves Lindsy Stirling, so much so that we had to hide the YouTube feed from him on the TV for several months so her thumbnail quit popping up. It’s the thing that she does where she swings her one leg around that drives me nuts. Her signature move.

      • Mojeaux

Listening to Lindsay is kind of like listening to Vivaldi. Same song, slightly different variations.

      • Threedoor

That’s what ‘classical’ and jazz sounds like to me.

Gun games? You could have held off for a week, damnit, the GOAT PCSL 2-gun isn’t until the 11th…

If Monday is moon day why do Muslims go to mosque on Friday?

    Dear TPTB,

I have just submitted an article for review. As usual I couldn’t find controls to turn off the rendering of the featured image in the article and to turn off the sidebar so if my reviewer would please take care of these things for me again I’d appreciate it again.

    • Fourscore

If I hadn’t already stolen that page, I’d sure be stealing it now.

    • Threedoor

Here I am wondering what a “sidebar” is.

    Leo:

I will show this to my wife and suggest she needs to up her game this week.

    • slumbrew

Let us know how that goes.

Or at least instruct your heirs to do so.

Taurus: 5 of Cups – Loss, but something remains, inheritance, patrimony, transmission, but not corresponding to expectations.

Yep, but not that. Second last shift at the station last night and all went well. Just one more pinch-hit shift next Sat before I begin test evaluations for new contract. The trick is to maintain that old bridge for after the contract ends.

Thought may be do get training in before the theoretical April 20 grading portion, but we begin onboarding April 9. I think that initial bit is 3-4 days worth, with likely a short break until the ~20th. In between would be perfect do get trained in the regular Meijer store for grocery picking. (I hear they call it “pulling.”) Get that done in those ~15 days and it may be feasible to do one Sat every other week while I’m looking over those standardized tests.

That’d girder that bridge fairly nicely, I believe/hope. For now, I’ve got a psych appt tomorrow at a place that specifically focuses on ADHD. (It’s called “IN FOCUS First.”)

For now, Cubs have the rubber match v Washington in five min and time to work on submission.
@Tonio et a: How’s the media library? I have pics to include but don’t want to mess up the flooded system. OK to load my pics?

  13. Evan from Evansville

I really like Muse. We covered Hysteria and Time is Running out in Korea.

Guitarist/Singer Matt Bellamy is disturbing. He’s a good guitarist, can sing really quite well, and he’s very handsome.
He wins. (*frumps, aims for pebble, kicks dirt; envy grows*)
