I had seen recently an article written by a friend of my dad. In this article was the argument that public school teachers should ALL be put onto the ballot and be voted into their job, giving the people more school choice and freedom of who is teaching their kids.
People in my aforementioned class did not approve.
Teachers are selfless heros, it is known. Who are we to question their praxis?
The principle is fine enough, but the practicality would be no different than the setup we have now. Next to nobody besides a handful of moonbat activists paid by the teacher unions is going to show up to vote for every hiring decision. The problem of electing morons can’t really be resolved with more elections – it’s the morons that are the problem.
Yeah… even worse than local judge, DA and school board elections. Nobody pays attention to these elections. Judges cant even campaign beyond their name. So how are you supposed to choose?
