Their live performances are impressive since it’s just two dudes, and the guitarist/bassist uses loop pedals to alternate between some pretty amazing basslines and microtonal guitar. And I guess they found a shtick by dressing up like clowns (as if there’s never been a French mime before). I just like the sounds they make for my ear holes. It’s like if The Bulletproof Tiger got sober, went to art school, and threw on a microtonal fretboard.
I know none of these things, because I am old. I marked them for listening.

In Too Local News, California Man loses immigration case. Entered US illegally in 1996, got caught and was deported. Came again in 1997, didn’t get caught. Convicted of a DUI in 2002. Ordered to be deported in 2014, but never left, because deportation orders are voluntary apparently. Finally got deported in 2025. The Education Department said Monday it has terminated agreements with five school districts and a college aimed at upholding protections for transgender students, backing away from requirements negotiated by previous administrations that took a different interpretation of civil rights.
The decision removes the federal obligations for the schools to keep up measures such as faculty training on abiding by a students’ preferred name and pronouns and allowing students to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity.

Since the day he returned to the White House more than a year ago, Trump and his administration have aimed at the rights of transgender people in several ways — and not just in schools.
He has tried to end participation of transgender women and girls in women’s and girls’ sports competitions and has sued states that don’t comply. He’s also blocked transgender and nonbinary people from choosing the sex markers on passports. His administration has also tried to stop those under 19 from receiving gender-affirming medical care.
He is uniquely, grotesquely evil.
So is the 80% of the American public who are not in favor of chicks with dicks beating up bio-girls.
I don’t know why some people have a hard time understanding that sports divisions are for biological sex and not gender. It’s like sex and gender are different when it’s convenient and they are the same when it’s convenient.
