    Howdy folks!

  2. juris imprudent

    FYTW – perfect.

  3. Rat on a train

Coke break everyone. See you in an hour.

    • Grosspatzer

      Everything goes better with Coke.

      • Rat on a train

Methyl (1R,2R,3S,5S)-3-(benzoyloxy)-8-methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-2-carboxylate. It’s the real thing.

  4. Grosspatzer

    Manhatten?? Never hoid of it.

    • rhywun

I’m choosing to believe that was intentional.

      • Grosspatzer

        No doubt.

      • Rat on a train

        That’s the spelling in $CurrentYear.

  5. Penguin

    Good one, CPRM.

  6. Brochettaward

The persecution of Trump has nothing on what the Firsters have had to endure throughout our history.

  7. R.J.

Loved it. Especially the dramatic music and the cocaine break.

  8. DEG

“Witch hunt”, “Witch hunt” sounds like Beavis and Butthead talking.

  9. Tonio

One of your best, CPRM. Bravo.

  10. Brochettaward

I’d like to take a moment to give a shout-out to a Glib who has been doing some quality Firsting lately. Some real make-my-dick-hard-and-give-you-a-reach-around quality Firsting. They are all an example for what you should aspire to be as a commentor and human being.

It’s me. I’m the one who has been doing that Firsting. The rest of you? Do better.

    • hayeksplosives

I’d like to be the First to tell you to Go Fuck Yourself, but it’s been done.

    Wassup everyone? Any zoom?

    • Brochettaward

      There’s always a Zoom.

      In my pants.

      No, you aren’t invited.

      • Rat on a train

        You drank pure gluten?

    • slumbrew

      Hey dude!

There’s some sort of standing zoom but I’d have to go check prior postings for the link

      • straffinrun

Hey Slum and Gustave! Found the link. Taking a little break from most things online. Hope y’all doing well.

    • Gustave Lytton

He’s alive! Not merely a twitter bot.

Was afraid you had succumbed to a touch of「東京sickness」.

  12. Spudalicious

Superb, CPRM! Absolutely one of your best.

    • mikey

      Yep.

  13. Gustave Lytton

Another 14 hour work day done. Once this double is finshed, will watch the video. Meanwhile Eye of the Eagle is on. Awesome.

    • Chafed

It’s no Iron Eagle but what can you do?

  14. LCDR_Fish

Good video on the Chinese/US currency situation by one of the ADVChina guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWcJVRznD5E&pp=ygUIbGFvd2h5ODY%3D

Not a surprising breakdown – matches a lot of stuff we’ve seen about Chinese economic manipulation over the past few years, but nice to get a detailed breakdown from someone familiar with the original sources.

    • UnCivilServant

It would be stupid to use Chinese currency outside of China, or even in trading with China. I’m not saying the dollar is any better an idea, but it should show why you want to avoid that trap again.

    • Chafed

Who is the guy in the video?

    • CPRM

Over the top!? It is art imitating life! It is The Best Most Classy form of entertainment!

  15. Tundra

I’m gonna use “Time for a cocaine break!” in every meeting the unfortunate souls schedule for me.

    Thanks, CPRM!

      • Tundra

        LOL

        He’s not far, brother!

      • Brochettaward

They’re in bed, but they aint sleeping. They’re masturbating to me.

    • Tundra

      Yeah, I saw that.

No escaping the demons. They are out here too.

      Legion, even.

  16. Gustave Lytton

Burned at the stake? Not classy enough. Should be the The Wicker President!

  17. Gustave Lytton

    Wrap up of insanity

State idiots want to enshrine murder and child mutilation in the state constitution.

Retard mayor of Portlandia wants to memorialize criminals that died participating in an armed criminal conspiracy to threaten and intimidate the community while the police did nothing.

Portland bureaucrat, aided by fed bux, are trying to kill downtown even further by prohibiting use of the (increasingly) limited marked delivery zone parking space by normally powered vehicles. Phony zero emissions vehicles only.

  18. Sean

    👏👏👏👏
    😂😂

      • Sean

        🙂

    • Rat on a train

      Happy Thursday.

      • Tres Cool

Thursday for “you people”. This is like my Sunday afternoon.

      • UnCivilServant

        So, you’re at a post-church buffet?

      • Gender Traitor

This is a MUCH better time to get a table at Cracker Barrel.

      • Rat on a train

        Watching the XFL playoff game?

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, Sean, U, Roat, and homey!

Big Sweet-But-Dumb Cat was a brave little soldier at the vet yesterday and got a clean bill of health. The vet was even OK with his weight! 😸

(I posted this during the visit yesterday afternoon, but what the heck: “Am I being detained?”)

      • rhywun

        Aww chonky

      • Gender Traitor

He didn’t want to get in the carrier before we left home, but once we got into the exam room, he didn’t want to come out.

      • UnCivilServant

What about getting him back in the carrier after the exam, or out once you got home?

      • Gender Traitor

I don’t remember the vet or assistant having any trouble getting him back in, and once we got home and I set the carrier down in the kitchen, he was out like a shot.

      • UnCivilServant

So it just sounds like he wanted to be home.

      • Gender Traitor

Yup. Not sure if he ran off to find his buddy or to find the food first.

      • rhywun

Wrestling mine into a carrier was always a huge challenge, on par with giving them medicine or trying to trim their claws (which I gave up on very early).

      • Gender Traitor

Getting a carrier with a hatch in the top helped, though he still did the spread eagle move to resist getting put in.

    • Not Adahn

      Morning!

Laly went to the groomer yesterday. She hasn’t entirely forgiven me yet. The groomers charged me extra because it took two people, but she didn’t attempt to bite either of them, so she’s welcome back. She hasn’t been this fluffy since she was a wee pup.

      • Gender Traitor

Pro tip: next time tell her she’s going to the salon. Ladies LOVE going to the salon! And she’s no doubt heard bad things about those evil “groomers.” 😳

School board wants workers comp for teacher shot by boy, 6

The Virginia school district where a 6-year-old shot his teacher argues that her injuries fall under the state’s workers compensation act and cannot be addressed through her $40 million lawsuit

The school board also rejected Zwerner’s claim that she could reasonably expect to work with young children who pose no danger, pointing to numerous incidents of violence against teachers across the U.S. and in Newport News.
The school district is admitting their schools aren’t safe and you should just accept that.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

When legal logic is being twisted within an inch of its life you just know someone is trying to have a lawsuit thrown out.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Also, on further reading, how does such a young kid get so twisted and what the hell can be done with a kid like that? A sad situation all around.

      • Gender Traitor

Here in Ohio, we’re going to solve that problem once and for all. 🙄

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

They’re not going to teach these kids good habits for their future worklife but the world needs fast food workers with absenteeism issues too. Wait a sec, no the world doesn’t, sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and get out of bed and just showing up reliably is half of the game for a lot of jobs.

      • rhywun

What is it called, the “Sweep Problems We Caused Under the Rug Bill”?

        FFS.

      • Rat on a train

Government: If you think the problems we cause are bad, wait until you see our solutions.

      • Grosspatzer

        Stolen.

      • UnCivilServant

        That’s an old saying.

I most recently saw it on a demotivational poster… that I have hanging on my wall at home.

      • Rat on a train

I have the desktop demotivator that I displayed when I worked in government space.

      • UnCivilServant

Technically, that is the size of ‘poster’ I have on my wall as well.

I put it up there because I was reducing the amount of personal items at work, and there was already a nail left by the previous owner I would rather cover up than remove.

      • Grosspatzer

“Mental Health Days”. Why not? $employer gives us one each quarter, a practice started during the early days of the covid panic. It’s almost as if they realized that isolating people from human contact might have negative consequences.

      • UnCivilServant

I get five personal days a year that don’t roll over. There’s no reason required for using personal days, it’s the only category under which mental health days would qualify.

      • Grosspatzer

We have self-directed time off (no limits, as much as your manager will tolerate), so the idea that management is “giving” something to employees is just social signaling.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

We need to revisit the idea of orphanages or group homes for kids or something. Those kids are straight up screwed, maybe just as bad as the people around them they’ll be sure to victimize in the future.

  20. Tres Cool

    suh’ fam
    whats goody

    • Gender Traitor

If you didn’t work last night, I don’t suppose you know whether I’m going to have to scrape frost off my windshield.

      • UnCivilServant

There was no frost here in New York, just a heavy condensation. But that doesn’t mean much for your situation.

      • Not Adahn

Completely clear at home, fog at work.

      • UnCivilServant

There was fog hugging the upper reaches of the downtown towers, but clear at ground level.

        *shrugs*

  21. Shirley Knott

    Mornin’ all.

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, Shirley! How are you today?

      • Shirley Knott

        Better than yesterday, hoping for ‘worse than tomorrow.’ ;-}

      • Shirley Knott

        How you doin’?

      • Gender Traitor

Flyin’ out the door to work!

  22. Grosspatzer

    Mornin ‘, reprobates!

Glad to hear your kitty got a clean bill of health, GT. OK, time for a cocaine break, BRB.

    • Ownbestenemy

Mornin. This 3am BS every month is getting old…or I am starting to get old…I am unsure. Either way, you all are safe to fly in and/out of Vegas now

      • Grosspatzer

“This 3am BS every month is getting old…or I am starting to get old…I am unsure.”

Why not both? Also, flying out of Vegas is preferable to the alternative.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, ‘patzie, and thanks!

(Tomorrow it’s Little Black Kitty’s turn.)

      • UnCivilServant

        Careful, that one’s a ninja 🐱‍👤

  23. Not Adahn

My grips arrived from Slovenia! They threw in a pack of OG gummi bears.

    • UnCivilServant

      Pics of the Gummies?

      And of the fluffy puppy.

      • Not Adahn

Not a whole lot of visual difference. The fur is shorter, but the coat doesn’t take up a volume much different than it did before, each hair is just more upright. I did have them take off the feathers since they are just burr-gathering regions now.

  24. hayeksplosives

    Nice one, CPRM.

I like how you wove in so many of our favorite phrases. And the throwaway joke of “I’m hungry again” 2 hours after the Chinese food. 😂

This is why Hayek is one of your Maga Supreme sponsors.
