The Satanic Panic was a big deal in the 1980s. Quite honestly, probably with good reason. Look at what is going on now. Every conspiracy theory has a grain of truth. Also every conspiracy theory has at least one movie. Look at the D&D panic, pretty much everything on X Files etc…
There were a bunch of films around heavy metal turning kids to the dark side during the 1980s, all spawned from the above mentioned panic. Tonight’s film is one of the last big ones, from 1988. Why this one? Well, it’s owned by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Hertz now and boy am I behind in giving those two some attention. Also it is great. Very salacious, as you would expect from a Troma film.
So what is it about? There is absolutely no good description anywhere, outside of amateur reviews, so I will make my own summary: A heavy metal band comes to town for a three-night gig, uses the power of the devil to turn the local kids into murderous zombies. Who will win? The conservative parents, or the demonic heavy metal band?
Who cares who wins? There’s boobs and heavy metal. Turn off your brain and enjoy this walk down memory lane. There is nothing of substance here, other than to mark the end of the 1980s Satanic Panic. One trivia, if you could call it that: An IMDB commenter mentioned the band in this film closely resembled the band Lordi in style and substance. Lordi performed in the 2016 Eurovision song contest. Enjoy!

The Pirates, from Aardman animation is also out. That film vanished for some reason. I dunno if this is the right crowd for it, but it was a good stop motion film from the makers of Wallace and Gromit.

BIM tech. You read construction drawings. You draft construction drawings. I’m not promising you’ll love your life but it’s basically an unskilled occupation that you become skilled doing. Quickly. And because you’re working with highly educated people for whom your work is beneath them or beyond them, you are an asset. You’re subordinate to engineers or architects, and you find they’re happy to shovel the horseshit parts of those careers onto you. But it’s an office job, and it pays well (it does me, anyway), you need basically no real training or degree to do it.
I mean eventually the engineers will learn to draft their own details… eventually.
Till then, they’re stuck with me.
The architects already have or (more likely) they’re overrun with interns with college degrees.

Turns out it was manipulated data bullshit (objectively) aimed at whipping up racial tensions (my interpretation). How oh how did this make it through the sacrosanct peer-review process?
