I need to write an employee up. At least this time its a white woman and I don’t need to worry too much about a harassment complaint.

¡enalces!

Bolsonaro

Mexican politician arrested due to allegations of cartel ties. Must have picked the wrong cartel.

I don’t know if these sanctions are related, but I’ll leave this here.

Mexico is happy to get preferential tariff treatment. Thankful in fact, for the Orange Man is a gracious emperor.

Get a load of the urine soaked hellhole they put a Maryland Dad!

Bolsonaro is out of the hospital.

This is not a Bolivian plane crash, but it is a Peruvian boat crash!

….um…this is a Bolivian plane crash.

This song sums up my feelings for today. If you know, you know.

I don’t know — sounds pretty AWFL to me… Good luck.

I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER…
Oh wait. That won’t work here…

      She is.

Must have picked the wrong cartel.

Lucky they didn’t opt for permanent retirement for him instead.

Doesn’t matter — his supporters here won’t be cowed!

    • Urthona

So they moved him to a nice cushy place? Interesting.

Btw, the article is misleading. Trump does have a deal for El Salvador to house Venezuelan gang members until some way to deport them can be figured out. They can do whatever the hell they want to their own people.

      • Ownbestenemy

“Abrego Garcia’s precise whereabouts and condition remain unknown.” So why are they running this story then?

      • rhywun

So why are they running this story then?

        You know why.

      • Suthenboy

I keep hearing ” Trump admin has been ordered to facilitate…”
What does that mean? Dudebro was asked if he would return that piece of shit and he replied “I am not going to smuggle criminals into the United States, what is wrong with you?”

As usual the leftists are stirring up a tempest in a teacup with lies and histrionics.

    • Sean

I hope he gets shanked, then we can stop talking about him.

  4. The Other Kevin

“Gang members aren’t allowed at the penitentiary.”

So the US determined he’s a gang member, but El Salvador disagrees?

    • Grumbletarian

      Yeah that seems … curious.

    • Ownbestenemy

All five people on board a plane that crashed in a remote part of Bolivia’s Amazon rainforest have been found alive. They were rescued after surviving for two days in a swamp surrounded by alligators.

“When I said I wanted to see the caimans, I meant the islands.”

    • Urthona

Didn’t even turn to cannibalism? Meh

      • SDF-7

What if you feed your sewer dwelling gators teenage turtles who recently had pizza? Can you use the sai to floss them?

      • UnCivilServant

But a sai isn’t floss, it’s more of a toothpick.

      • Derpetologist

Many moons ago, I spent a few years in karate class practicing with various weapons. My favorite drill was a kumite where one guy has a bo, and the other has a bo, sai, and nunchaku. It was fun to both progressive disarm your opponent or do New York reloads John Wick style.

Zingg’s Karate Achievement Center in Ranson WV…it was like a redneck League of Shadows.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hVF7vYg6z0

I got my first job because I wanted to earn money to fly to Okinawa to study with Sensei Zingg if I was chosen as the top student. I was not, but it motivated me to work hard. Ended up with a brown belt in Shindokan karate and ju-jitsu. Getting to black belt there was hard and maybe 5% made it that far.

      • Suthenboy

There are no alligators in Bolivia.

      • Suthenboy

American alligator has the strongest bite of any living animal. It isn’t even close. They need that bite because they primarily eat turtles.
I made the mistake of catching one of these once because my young nephew wanted to see it.

        See a pattern here?

      • Shpip

There are no alligators in Bolivia.

I assume this was mentioned because Yacare so much.

    • KSuellington

Yup as Suth said no gators in Bolivia. I caiman to say the same thing.

      • Suthenboy

To be fair they do have the black caiman. I saw one once…it made an impression.

      • KSuellington

Yeah that wouldn’t be fun to be surrounded by them either. In the middle of the fucking Bolivian jungle. Waiting and hoping for help that may eventually arrive or not. I was in Bolivia for a month or so in the late 90’s. Man that place was backward, especially coming from Chile, which is like a South American Spain.

  6. Shpip

“There is no rule of law here in El Salvador. There is no respect for the principle of legality,” she said.

Apparently, cracking down on those who would break the law is against the law.

    • Suthenboy

People have the memory of goldfish. Before Dudebro the country’s citizenry was paralyzed with terror. The gangs turned the place into a near uninhabitable house of horrors.
What they have now is an extreme solution to an extreme problem.

      • Q Continuum

Long overdue. Should be serving as a model to other Central American shitholes but of course I’m assuming the politicos in those places are so hopelessly corrupt and/or cowardly that cleaning them up isn’t really in their interest.

Quite frankly, what Dudebro has managed to accomplish is nothing short of a miracle.

      • Brochettaward

Effective government is antithetical to progressivism, ironically enough.

  7. UnCivilServant

I’m in a good mood today. I’ve decided to start dinner early. I’m having Steak A La Sean. The guy in front of me at the butcher got my first choice steak.

Oh, and I got my Permit today. From the time when I submitted the paperwork to issuance, it was just under two months, which beat the estimates of 6, 9, 12, 18, or 24 months that people have thrown around. From the dates on the paperwork, the Judge signed it on Monday April 28th. Had I seen the letter from the County Clerk when it arrived, I would have had a processing time of Seven Weeks.

    • Ownbestenemy

      7 weeks of justice delayed.

    • Gender Traitor

Congrats on finally getting the permit! Also, yummy looking steak, but it needs more Corelle.

      • UnCivilServant

I don’t have any corelle, and I didn’t think to check Goodwill.

      • Derpetologist

  9. The Late P Brooks

    This time for sure

Despite Amazon’s recent increase in profits, The People’s Union USA is making it loud and clear that it isn’t backing down. The group has organized yet another Amazon boycott, which is set to kick off on May 6 and end on May 12.

In a recent video posted on Instagram, The People’s Union USA founder John Schwarz said that this boycott “means more than ever before,” flagging that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos recently made an agreement with Trump not to list tariff costs next to item prices on Amazon.

“Jeff Bezos just said that he would start listing tariff costs next to the item prices on Amazon so customers could see what they’re really paying, and that’s okay,” said Schwarz. “That was a little transparency, a little truth, but the White House called it ‘hostile.’ The president himself made a call, and just like that, Bezos crumbled, he backed down, he bent the knee, and this is what we’re up against, a billionaire who doesn’t pay his fair share in taxes, a billionaire who manipulates the markets, silences sellers and flaunts his obscene wealth while Americans struggle to stay afloat.”

They’ll show Amazon a thing or two.

    • Urthona

“Jeff Bezos just said that he would start listing tariff costs next to the item prices on Amazon so customers could see what they’re really paying, and that’s okay”

Jeff Bezos, in fact, never said that and Amazon was never going to do that.

The news that reported that was just…. Wrong.

      • EvilSheldon

I figured that Jeff Bezos isn’t stupid enough to think that a 25% tarriff equals a 25% price hike…

    • rhywun

doesn’t pay his fair share in taxes

How do you know that, commie?

      • Grumbletarian

Because Bezos is still a billionaire, duh!

Because there are still coins in his Scrooge McDuck swimming pool?

President Dudebro or his successor is going to be the target of a color revolution when the Dems regain power.

My town has decided not to renew a contract for traffic cameras that read license plates due to privacy concerns.

    https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/local-politics/license-plate-reader-camera-data-security-concerns/73-9c570252-9d1c-4e5c-b042-c12392aa1081

    Whose privacy, the citizenry? Hahahahahahahaha….

“[City council] voiced concerns about data security and potential immigration enforcement access. Flock camera data is accessible to more than 80 law enforcement agencies, some of which have committed to cooperating with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”

Illegal immigrants are sacred, not just ordinary, run-of-the-mill tax cattle, and it is imperative that tens of thousands be brought to my town immediately. No one has explained why. As a delicious side note, this camera system was used to track down the perpetrators of a big jewelry heist, who turned out to be, er, members of a South American crime syndicate…

    https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/artificial-intelligence-suspects-denver-jewel-heist-flock-safety/

    • Ownbestenemy

      That…is hilariously funny.

      • Suthenboy

Yes it is. Better than my first thought…some city council critter caught on cam cruising the hood late at night.
We had a judge caught here like that. He was caught on camera 1. stopped in the middle of the street pissing. 2. Arguing and then shooting at an old black man that complained to him about public pissing and cruising for hookers 3. dodging bullets when the old black man had the temerity to return fire.

    • The Other Kevin

I guess we should have guessed that eventually “illegal immigrant” would make its way into the DEI hierarchy. So now disabled trans lesbian person of color is no longer the high card.

      • JaimeRoberto (carnitas/spicy salsa)

The Dems’ strategy for Presidential candidates has been first black (Obama), first woman (Hillary, Harris), first gay (Buttigieg coming soon). I look forward to the first undocumented candidate.

    • rhywun

      Illegal immigrants are sacred

      You’re catching on.

      • Urthona

        So bizarre.

I remember Bill Clinton being elected in a landslide after proposing to build a wall on the southern border and to be tough on immigration.

There is real opportunity here as Trump is polling poorly on economics, but do Democrats not look at polls when it comes to illegal immigrants? Mind boggling stupidity when it comes to reading the electorate.

      • UnCivilServant

Which year was that? I seem to recall him getting elected because a spoiler candidate split the opposition vote.

      • Urthona

I mean that’s been debunked a number of times but is almost always the popular assessment of the election.

Nevertheless, the point is: Democrats were more popular when they weren’t pro open borders.

      • rhywun

        polling poorly on economics

I suspect Reagan was too, two years before sweeping 49 states.

      • rhywun

do Democrats not look at polls when it comes to illegal immigrants

I have heard one literally claiming that he is underwater on every issue, including immigration.

      • R C Dean

“Trump is polling poorly on economics”

His poll numbers on the economy are pretty bad. I’m beginning to think he may not get reelected.

      • Brochettaward

There is real opportunity here as Trump is polling poorly on economics, but do Democrats not look at polls when it comes to illegal immigrants? Mind boggling stupidity when it comes to reading the electorate.

Neither side represents the electorate. They represent the billionaire donor class. It’s why the GOP may talk tough on immigration, but is largely toothless.

They tell themselves behind closed doors that the rubes just don’t understand. our economy needs the bodies and birthrates are dropping and yadayada. Really, it’s about driving down wages and providing a cheap source of labor for the elite.

      • Brochettaward

I mean that’s been debunked a number of times but is almost always the popular assessment of the election.

I really struggle to see how Ross Perot took more votes from Clinton. Polling is bullshit. The actual results of that election almost certainly mean Bush the Not-Quite-Lesser would have won.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

RC Dean, remember when all the polls said Harris was polling basically even with Trump. Or, remember when they had HRC up by 25 points or sumsuch?

Don’t believe the polls. They may be right, they may be wrong, but they are most likely to have no bearing on what people are thinking.

      • Brochettaward

Public polling is propaganda at this stage. It’s about convincing you that people who buck the preferred narrative are isolated minorities.

      • Urthona

It’s simultaneously not working and they’re afraid of it.

        Like DOGE.

Credit Suisse Services AG will pay nearly $511 million after pleading guilty in a criminal case to having conspired with wealthy American taxpayers to hide more than $4 billion in at least 475 offshore accounts, the Department of Justice said.

In addition to that plea, the UBS subsidiary also entered into a non-prosecution agreement with prosecutors in connection with U.S. accounts that were booked at Credit Suisse AG Singapore.

“Between 2014 and June 2023, Credit Suisse AG Singapore held undeclared accounts for U.S. persons, which Credit Suisse AG Singapore knew or should have known were U.S., with total assets valued at over $2 billion,” the DOJ said.

The criminal conspiracy to which Credit Suisse admitted guilt allowed “ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individual clients” of the Swiss financial services corporation to evade their U.S. tax obligations from 2010 through 2021, according to the DOJ.

There are quite a few around here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • B.P.

There are a lot of cars running around with no plates. Or expired temporary plates. Or stolen ones. Illegal immigrants buy cars and just don’t register them. When pulled over during traffic stops, cops in some jurisdictions just cut them loose. It turns out that some people are, in fact, above the law.

    India launching attacks into Pakistan

Pahalgam Terror Attack LIVE Updates: Indian Army tweets ‘Justice is Served. Jai Hind’
The Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday, executing targeted strikes against nine terrorist facilities across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

An official communication from the defence minister’s office confirmed that the Indian Armed Forces had begun ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, striking terrorist installations in Pakistan and PoJK that were identified as centres for orchestrating attacks against India.

The operation targeted nine specific locations with a measured, restricted strategy, deliberately avoiding Pakistani military facilities.

    (Wannabe) Women, minorities hardest hit

The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that the Trump administration may begin enforcing a ban on transgender troops serving in the military while the case continues working its way through lower courts.

The ruling granted the administration’s emergency request to lift a nationwide preliminary injunction blocking Trump’s executive order, so it did not lay out the justices’ reasoning and will remain in place only until the issue is decided in lower courts. The Court’s three liberal justices — Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Sonia Sotomayor — dissented but did not provide their reasoning.

    Upside down

American consumers are on the cusp of tough choices because of President Donald Trump’s trade war.

Ships now pulling into US harbors from China are the first to be subject to the massive tariffs that America is imposing on most Chinese imports. That means, in a matter of weeks, consumers will face higher prices and shortages of certain items.

Imports from China have fallen dramatically since Trump imposed steep tariffs – particularly since last month, when the tit-for-tat trade war sent the tariff on most Chinese goods up to 145%.

“This week, we’re down about 35% compared to the same time last year, and these cargo ships coming in are the first ones to be attached to the tariffs that were levied against China and other locations last month,” Gene Seroka, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles, told CNN Tuesday. “That’s why the cargo volume is so light.”

Price increases do not cause shortages.

    • slumbrew

I have been assured that the Port Of Los Angeles is totally overwhelmed and the dock workers need more monies.

They must be relieved that they’re getting a break.

    • rhywun

      shortages of certain items

Which items? If it’s anything critical why the fuck are we importing it from China?

      • cavalier973

        “We” aren’t importing anything.

US firms made deals with Chinese firms to purchase some products, because that was the best deals they could get for what they wanted.

Was there a cut off date for products shipped from China? As in, if XYZ company made an order the day before the tariffs went into effect, is it still subject to the tariff, now that the product has reached US ports?

      • JaimeRoberto (carnitas/spicy salsa)

I’m no logistics expert, but I would guess the relevant date would be either when the shipment clears customs or the date the paperwork is filed with customs.

  22. The Late P Brooks

I remember when the Valdez spill destroyed coastline that was going to take 5 million years to recover. A few years ago I saw a story about that…reporter went there and it is like nothing ever happened.

I was just hoping it wouldn’t sit there until June 1, which was what Susie wanted once she was pushed into a corner. I wasn’t finished pushing. I was a little pissy it only went on sale a month before she wanted it, but it is what it is.

      Congratulations!

Fantastic. Sounds like it went to a couple you liked too.

Can you livestream the cuntes being removed from the house at gunpoint on July 8?

      • Mojeaux

    The house is SOLD

    you obviously weren’t asking enough.

    *ducks and covers*

Yeah, I believe so, but whatevs.

Asked $465 on Day 1, was offered $481.5 on Day 3, with no Sabbath dealings between.

There were 5 offers between Friday and Monday, so … 🤷‍♀️

        Huzzah!

Now the “fun” part starts. Getting your Aunt Cuntie not to fuck with the various inspectors as she tries to kill the sale. Then comes the “get your shit out of there” phase.

But you made a huge leap forward.
