That’s all I got for today. I’ll leave you with a song and move along with my day.

Point of order – the case was about an order to write up plans for layoffs, not the layoffs proper.
There will be another suit once the plans exist.
Of course the judicial branch has no say over the disposition of executive branch employees.
That won’t stop the suits from being filed.
“What has that got to do with anything?” – leftist federal judge
“What has that got to do with anything?” – leftist federal judge
They really do seem to think they have dictatorial powers and can simply order the other (co-equal) branches of government around. It only happens because the other branches are willing to play along for some reason.
Brutus warned of exactly this in the anti-federalist papers.
WTF, I think your comment is missing a “should have”.
I think the Trump administration is missing an opportunity on another case, the one ordering that Planned Parenthood continue receiving funding. That is probably as good a case as they are going to get to make the announcement that “This order clearly exceeds the court’s authority, so we are going to ignore it.”
That order (a) gets at Congressional action, which is better optics than saying “whatever, I do what I want” and (b) is incoherent and certain to be overturned anyway. It’s the ideal case to make the point/precedent that just because a judges says “so let it be written, so let it be done” doesn’t mean the coequal branches of government have to bow and scrape.
Unfortunately RC I don’t think the Trump administration is smart enough to seize that opportunity.
That didnt even make any attempt to show anything other than a judge rubberstamping the TRO.
Cant just ‘ignore’ it or tell them to shove off cause it wont even be in effect until Oct 1.
What about the order are they going to ignore?
I think this is the judiciary playing chicken with the Legislature, seeing who will blink first.
If a judge can issue an order that doesn’t take effect until October 1, the President can make an announcement that doesn’t take effect until October 1.
The point is to put a stake in the ground, much like Marshall did in Marbury. That case established the idea that the courts could order their coequal branches around, even though no such order was actually issued in that case.
Thats the best part though…the TRO didnt pre-date the hold to go into effect on Oct 1, it was from when the bill was signed.
It was performative nonsense that made ACB’s point.
All fitting nicely into what JI brought up about the Anti-Federalists warnings.
Gov Newsom announces $101M funding to build Palisades low-income housing
So, one unit?
It will be alongside the 77 feet of of high speed rail that cost several billion.
I believe that is enough to get you to the planning stages 10 years from now. At which point, they will ask for an additional 200 million.
Perhaps if there is money left over after the usual suspects get their cut.
And just like that, another conspiracy theory turns out to be true.
Also, I love the idea of Newsome and his team refusing to allow rebuilding to occur so they can put in apartments. Californians voted for this, now they can bend over and enjoy their democracy good and hard.
Good.
I think what I am seeing is a pattern. Left pushes and pushes and eventually people get fed up with their shit. We are at the ‘we are sick of your shit’ stage again. The pendulum swings.
Don’t worry. We’ll get back to Republicans fucking up a great opportunity stage again.
If Republicans go to hard in the paint, then the public will start to swing left again, in a remarkably similar motion to what brought the R’s to power.
Yup. The R’s cant help themselves. They will start with the ‘ol timey backward-ass fire and brimstone puritanism. They have their own culture war to wage. What the hell is it with that?
All they have to do is create and guard an environment where people can be prosperous. That’s it. Stay in your lane. What your neighbor is doing with their wee-wee is not govt. business.
If they did that, they would be libertarians and not republicans.
If they did that, they would be libertarians and not republicans.
We need a new punctuation or format that emphasizes the lower case l.
All they have to do is create and guard an environment where people can be prosperous. That’s it.
We had that. The left’s culture war, in part, destroyed it.
It was within my lifetime that divorce wasnt a coin flip and families could live on a single income.
Eh, when I was in HS, Edwin Meese was pushing a lot of this culture war shit from the right, and at that point the left looked much better from a libertarian point of view. And if you go back, you can see the culture war shift from right to left like a sine wave, some time bigger, sometimes smaller but always back and forth.
if you go back, you can see the culture war shift from right to left like a sine wave
This is nonsense. There may be a little bit of “pendulum effect” noise on a small timescale, but the signal is a lurch left over the past 100+ years. When else in the past 1500 years were trannies venerated in western civilization? When else were white men, for the reason of being white and men, discriminated against by the west (Muslim conquest doesn’t count). When else were young adults actively encouraged to stay in an infantile state until they were 25? When else was bastardizing one’s child seen as neutral or even a virtue? When else was abandoning one’s family to pursue happiness seen as a virtue by a large segment of the population?
Maybe if you view history as the last 60 years broken into 4 year stints, you can claim it’s sine waving. To me, it feels like a fight over where exactly the new equilibrium is going to establish after the progressive era shoved us a football field to the left.
This exemplifies my issue with libertarians. Yes, the culture war stuff is a sine wave. The right and left both want to control what each sees as ‘vice’, and libertarians rightly recognize this and push back. The difference is that the left also wants to control the most basic elements of necessary human behavior in the economic realm. So you have two sides, both of which want to wipe out sin, one of which views sin in terms of hedonism, the other views sin in terms of insufficient empathy. They extend the idea of insufficient empathy everywhere, so words, thoughts, sexual behavior, preferences, and even just earning a living all fall into their realm of sin. So when libertarians adopt the satisfying attitude that both sides suck equally they end up effectively saying that outlawing porn and prostitution is the same as instituting a socialist society. It isn’t.
Trashy – Over that 1500 year time frame, there has been a pattern of swinging between puritanicalism and libertinism on moral issues.
I am still trying to figure out how they managed to push past the natural inflection point with the recent batshittery, as by the pattern of the past we should have already been on our way towards prudish puritanism again.
Nixon – price controls.
Nixon – final end of gold standard.
Trump – tariffs.
And I could go on. The GOP may be better, but they really don’t have a very good record on the economic realm either.
This is why I have always hated the description of libertarians that some people use as conservative on economics and liberal on social issues. I prefer libertarian on economics and libertarian on social issues.
Yeah, I have a similar issue with libertarianism. Basically it boils down to a failure to grasp human nature for me.
And speaking of GOP and economic issues, the TSA has finally realized that the shoe stuff is bullshit.
And, yes, I am calling that an economic issue.
I don’t see that as a libertarian problem. However, it is why I am a libertarian and not an AnCap.
And the Democrats periodically support the drug war and war on porn or the sex trade. I agree that there is a good bit of fuzziness at the edges due to personalities, and just pure stupidity and power hunger. And if libertarian ideas actually appealed to more than a tiny fringe minority, I’d agree with the a pox on both their houses idea, hell emotionally I agree with it now. But libertarian ideals don’t even appeal to a majority of people who call themselves libertarians. How many Libertarians support decriminalizing private discrimination?
I may be venturing into True Scotsman territory here but…
…all of them.
So, should we still beat our wives with a stick, but only if it is smaller than our thumb?
How much should we pay for our daughters to get taken away, and become other peoples problems?
Should women never be allowed to work, or have to ask permission to do something as basic as open a bank account?
Should a king control a nations finances in toto, with no recourse if they decide to take everything you have earned/saved?
The world and societies move and change, and a lot of that is progressive movement. The right/reactionaries will hold onto old ways far past any use, financially or relationship wise. The left/progressives will push back on every hold that is placed on society moving forward. And the polity will decide how fast the world changes by switching between the two paradigms. I could list a million other points, from voting rights to to work laws, violence to worship, that have changed as society changed and moved roughly at the speed of the majority.
You can see how many of the older ways, when not adapted for the times, have held countries such as North Korea or Afghanistan back. One is an example where people have as much financial recourse as living under a king, while the other does everything it can to hold back the sexual revolution. Both are living in the past, and in doing so, making the lives of their citizens complete shit. The entire Middle East has reverted to a religious mindset based in the past, and in the process has destroyed much of those countries ability to be successful on the modern stage. And, at the same time, you can see how modernizing too fast can completely change a country just by looking at South Korea. Also, you can see how a society can reject to much progressive pressure, by looking at the repeal of prohibition.
There is no perfect spot, no Eden. But there will always be change.
Libertarianism works in the that it can ignore the left/right change in societies, but concentrate on individual rights, which are, as we can all see, not a part of human nature to ensure.
Over that 1500 year time frame, there has been a pattern of swinging between puritanicalism and libertinism on moral issues.
How many pride parades happened in Brussels in the 1200s? How many women shouted their abortions in 5th century Rome? How many no fault divorces were granted in 11th century Vienna?
Yes, cultures ebb and flow around an equilibrium. That’s not a controversial statement. My argument is that the equilibrium moved substantially in the west in the recent past. It seems blatantly obvious to me that we’re currently way out of step with what western culture was post-312. We were out of step with it 50 years ago, and we’re all the more out of step with it now.
I think it can be demonstrated that “progressives” are reactionaries too.
a lot of that is progressive movement
By what standard?
Trashy – Aside from ignoring half of my comment, you’re overlooking a major factor – the megaphone effect of modern communciations has made it appear like a tiny minority represents a larger proportion of the population than they do. The rapidity with with support and funding dried up and a lot of these events vanished indicates that many of the examples you cite have been propped up artificially rather than being an actual shift in the equilibrium. They were not shut down because we have more respect for freedom of expression than in past centuries, but it is still illusory.
So, should we still beat our wives with a stick,
The discussion started at “republicans suck because they’re culture warriors and they should just focus on economics”
It moved to “culture is a sine wave, so just ride the pendulum”
It then moved to “ oh wait, cultural drift does exist, but it’s a good thing”
And now it’s at “you’re not one of those icky people who don’t like the cultural drift, are you?”
Congrats on doing the meme.
Aside from ignoring half of my comment
A regrettable limitation of the medium. I’m thumb typing on a phone.
modern communciations has made it appear like a tiny minority represents a larger proportion of the population than they do
I do think there’s something to this, but I don’t think it’s fully explanatory of the shift. Let’s say modern comms and a sprinkling of social contagion explain the current gravitation to the tail end of the alphabet acronym. That doesn’t explain the epidemic of voluntarily broken families. It doesn’t explain the growth of adolescence as an escape from adulthood. It doesn’t explain the birth rate decline. Those are real things happening broadly across society. I do think modern comms accelerate them, but I don’t think people are having fewer babies merely because they have cell phones in their pockets (although….maybe?)
Asking “should we” is an indicator that you’re libertarianing wrong*
*unless you’re asking it in person to other members of your voluntary association. Once you’ve decided that a group of people larger than Dunbar’s number** is an entity and means that those individuals will be governed involuntarily, you’re just quibbling about thr cost.
**may not actually exist.
What I am pointing out, Trashy, is that culture changes, and society likes it. And, I would guess, that you like a lot of it too.
You can call it drift, or modernizing, whatever. But it is going to happen. And, as I pointed out, when society writ large doesn’t like it, it pulls back, a la the repeal of prohibition. Or like we are currently seeing on the world stage regarding the trans movement. And, yes, much of this is due to progressives and progressive movement. And the slowing down, or in some cases stopping of the worst progressive impulses are due to reactionary actors. The bottom line is that half of the country is more conservative/liberal than the other half, and this will always be reflected in how the public reacts to any political movement. I doesn’t matter if you think the right is correct, as you move toward the other end of the spectrum there will be more dislike of the policies implemented. And vise-versa. This is the pendulum effect.
As far as doing the meme, maybe it exists as a meme due to the same factors that create stereotypes – a basis in reality.
is that culture changes, and society likes it.
This is just majoritarianism dressed up in democratic terms. Society likes a command and control economy. A large segment of society likes censoring wrong thinkers. Society likes racism against the majority race. The fact that some societal desire exists doesn’t make that desire good or “progress”. There has to be some standard to measure against, and “we like it” is a garbage standard.
And, I would guess, that you like a lot of it too
I’m intentionally avoiding revealing my personal preferences here. Of course I like many aspects of modernity. However, I like them for different reasons than the average “modern western man” does. The difference in worldview means my preferences are not very useful to the conversation.
My point, getting all the way back to the original argument, was that it’s insane to think that we can achieve some sort of economic utopia while completely ignoring culture. Economics is downstream of culture, and a broken culture necessarily has broken economics.
Stated another way, culture and economy (the structure of the economy, not the actual economic numbers) are not independent variables. Where we see a negative trend in our economic system (ie towards statism) there is an underlying cultural drift associated with it. Abandoning the culture war to the left would be a pillow over the face of the already ailing libertarianism.
Government sponsored theft has reached the point where the numbers dont really matter anymore, hasn’t it?
A billion? A trillion? A squillion? At this point what difference does it make. If it is there, they steal it. If it is yet to be, they steal it. If it is to never be they fake it and steal that.
They are only able to do this because we pretend the dollar is worth something. Maybe we should stop doing that.
Gov Newsom announces $101M funding to build Palisades low-income housing
I would be willing to bet most of the people in that area voted for Newsome, so they can enjoy their new neighbors. Assuming they actually get around to building anything.
“But we have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to. We could run D.C. We’re looking at D.C. We don’t want crime in D.C. We want the city to run well.”
I guess there’s a way to do it, but nobody on the planet has the political capital to make all of D.C. a nice, pleasant district without what would be called “massive human rights violations” akin to what’s happening in Gaza right now.
Trump added that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was “working very closely” with Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser.
No, she ain’t. Bowser isn’t cutting her own political throat that way.
We don’t want crime in D.C.
…and so I am issuing an executive order to expel Congress from the city.”
I hate it when I tag fail.

Not bad. Super busy. Summer months are always crazier than the school year months for me.
“with the exportation being funded by the USAID, which seemingly failed to devise a strategy that would prevent the samples from becoming bioweapons and staying accessible to the U.S. government.”
Big assumption being made right there.
Failed to devise a strategy that would prevent the samples from becoming bioweapons? I suppose you could put it that way.
I still want to know when Fauci and co. are going to prison.
Sadly they didn’t do anything overtly illegal. Wrong, yes, but not in violation of any law.
Fauci and the gang funneling NIH money for gain of function research was illegal.
Why would they devise a strategy to prevent weaponization when that was the point of the entire exercise?
“Trump had a few brain farts yesterday.”
“And in other news, water is wet.”
Farts can also be wet. Those are the worst kind of farts.
Hydrocephalic flatus – also known as wet brain farts.

Breaking news. Top European court rules Russia violated international law in Ukraine
https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/07/09/top-european-court-rules-russia-violated-international-law-in-ukraine
that’s it fellas, the ruskies are done. they will never recover after this.
Did they impose an international injunction against the war?
In other news, top European court has as many [Army] divisions as Pope has to enforce its rulings.
Wrong. The pope has the Swiss Guard, the Knights of Malta, a women’s auxiliary with 10 million Karens worldwide, a strategic alliance with Italy, and a group of fanatical murderous albinos in Opus Dei.
The European Court has jack and shit.
Even the grifters can’t keep up. Just ask Gavin.
ICC issues arrest warrants for Taliban leaders over persecution of women and girls
Mamdani can arrest them when they visit New York.
The ICC really are a bunch of clowns, aren’t they?
No, that is the ICP.
It’s hardly unprecedented. It’s exactly what the Taliban did the first time they were in control.
“Mamdani can arrest them when they visit New York.”
From the top rope! [thunderous applause]
I’d love to see a reporter ask him that.
To qualify as Supportive Housing Multifamily Housing, a project must provide at least 40% of its units for the homeless, or individuals who have spent at least 15 days in “jails, hospitals, prisons, and institutes of mental disease.”
It wasn’t enough that Democrat policies guaranteed your house would eventually burn, or even that they, through a combination of malice and incompetence, made it impossible to put out the fires. In order to rebuild you are going to have to accept the gibbering, filthy, drug addled rapists into your neighborhood for fairness! At this point if you are a productive citizen still living in California you are roughly equivalent to a Jew staying in Germany post Krystalnacht.
You know what? Most of the people in the Palisades neighborhood probably voted for the Democrats and their bullshit, so let them reap their rewards.
Here’s How Pacific Palisades Voted in The 2024 General Election
Fewer than I expected.
Some of the Palisades was old Californians. Thats why it wasnt a 99/1 split.
Adam Corolla called it on what they’d get post fire but I think he overestimated the belief it would shift politics.
I think he overestimated the belief it would shift politics.
Yes, the left seems incapable of drawing the connection between the policies they vote for and the consequences of those policies.
Yes, the left seems incapable of drawing the connection between the policies they vote for and the consequences of those policies.
kulaks, wreckers, bad luck, …
OBE, it will shift politics, but it will take a while. Dams don’t shatter, but the crack has to start weakening the structure.
There is a “supportive housing” project across the street – it’s not 40% thank goodness, only something like 10% I think – and it is exactly what you would expect – junkies and arsonists, mainly.
Who lives in the other units? I can’t imagine a family with children wanting to live there.
Knowing California it’ll probably be illegal aliens.
Regular poors.
Not CA, upstate NY.
Who lives in the other units? I can’t imagine a family with children wanting to live there.
Usually within a year or two most of the other units are vacant and destroyed, or taken over by gang kids. The ordinary, non-addict, non-criminal poor get out as best they can.
A couple days before closing, the neighborhood my wife’s condo was in when we met turned Section 8. I was sure that the sale would fall through, but we got super lucky.
We don’t have much if any “gang” presence here. And amusingly this all sits on top of a “conference center” and next door to City Hall. You’d think a closer eye would be kept on this place. It certain has been the topic of many a conversation.
I lived across from a section 8 housing block when I was in the army.

Another pickup I had got spray painted.

I wonder where Max will be next year?
Probably at RBR now. If this was a power struggle, his camp seems to have won. Plus it’s a completely new package next year and nobody knows who has what yet. And IIRC, Newey spent two years developing their 2026 car before bailing for Aston. That alone should give them confidence that they’ll be a contender.
Wow. One shit season in the last several years and he’s out.
It’s interesting how two people can see the same communication and reach vastly different opinions on what the meaning is. I’m not even talking politics here.
In the current contract there is a 50% telecommuting agreement, subject to policies and scheduling requirements.
Within the division I’m in, there is currently a standing policy of “Everyone in the office on Wednesdays”.
We recently got an email on a policy update that states we are requied to have “higher level and lower level personnel in the office on Mondays and Fridays”.
My read is that the upper management is trying to reduce telecommuting time and have more people in the office on the days most popular as remote.
My supervisor is convinced there was some error in the phrasing and it’s really about ensuring vacation coverage, as those are popular days for planned leave.
I’m taking the safe route and following my supervisor’s instruction to wait for clarification, but it struck me how we got two entirely different reads off the same brief paragraph.
“My supervisor is convinced there was some error in the phrasing…”
So what you are saying is……
Sick days seem to be taken on Fridays and/or Mondays. Somehow the calendar influences individuals’ health.
One of my favorite bad statistics is that for the average office worker, 40% of sick days are taken on Mondays and Fridays.
I have a nasty tendency to lose my weekend to some bug, then start to fret that I’m going to be seen as a slacker if I’m still sick on monday. Though usually they can still hear it in my voice during meetings later in the week.
I don’t know why it’s always the weekend.
We don’t have “sick days”, only “paid time off”, either “planned” or “unplanned”. No questions asked about why.
I don’t know why it’s always the weekend.
Because you are exposed to some bug going to the office mid-week and by the time it incubates to an illness it’s the weekend.
What spoor of madness is this?!
How can you operate without different buckets for sick leave, vacation, personal, holiday, jury duty, military leave, picnic leave, etc, with different rules governing how each and every one is to be used and approved?
That’s me. I’m notorious for not taking sick days (when I left my last job I had about 30 sick days saved up, and company policy was to not reimburse me for them). Working from home, it’ s a lot easier to sit at a laptop when you have a mild cold. So I have several saved up again, but I try to take a “mental health day” now and then, and those often occur on Mondays and Fridays.
No pattern is a pattern /modren day management theory on sick-leave usage in FedGov
People like to “work” from home on the days adjacent to the weekend.
Shocking.
I recall working at a small company that changed sick policy as the company grew as advised by legal. It went from unlimited to a cap. Sick use increased as people took days when they were near the cap. Eventually they rolled sick days into time off and people got sick less often.
“higher level and lower level personnel in the office on Mondays and Fridays”.
So no mid-level managers around on Mondays and Fridays? Sounds awesome! Totes productive days.
Sorry, Jimbo, but a lot of these “Higher-level” classified people are what you take for Middle Management. There is no gap between the two classifications.
My company sublet out HQ last September, so return to work is a physical impossibility. It makes these issues much simpler.
“We will be hot-desking with our sublesees. If there is a scheduling overlap, it is up to the individual employees involved to determine who will be sitting on who’s lap.”
Have you tried bunk desks?
Majorities in Canada and Mexico view the US as their country’s greatest threat.
If we were a national security threat to these clowns they would have experienced it some time ago. The reality is we don’t much care about them, they flatter themselves thinking that we do.
54-40 or fight!
This, right fucking here. Canadians have this idea that they matter on an international scale, when they don’t and never really have. To the extent they do matter, it’s because of the US. That’s the part they can’t grasp.
They are afraid we will stop letting them feed off of us? And?
They aren’t wrong. It’s unlikely we’d ever decide to do it, but we could conquer both in a matter of days.
Well, the US won’t let anyone else attack Canada.
True. I doubt the US would tolerate anyone trying to invade Mexico either.
Actually, they are so fucking retarded they don’t realize that the US is not only NOT a national security threat, the US actually is a national security benefit, allowing them to not have spend money on their own defense from potential attack.
Ungrateful assholes.
We are overdue for a war with Mexico. We used to have them regularly.
The US invades Mexico every spring.
IOW TDS is an international phenomenon.
They should thank Trump for distracting their voters from their own shitty policies.
“Majorities in Canada and Mexico view the US as their country’s greatest threat.”
“In Canada, roughly three-quarters of adults who name the U.S. say it poses a great deal of threat to their economy.”
The text does not match the headline. If 12 people considered the US a threat, and 10 people think the US is a threat economically, that would not be the majority that the headline claims. Of course, no matter how much you hate the media, it’s not enough.
They aren’t wrong. We are their number one export market by a longshot, elbows not withstanding. Also, many of them work in Canada for US based companies. If things got to a point of being really hostile, they’d be in a fair amount of trouble.
KJB is so terrible, even her ride-or-die Sotomayor had to remind her this isn’t a Burger King.
Tard fight!
They want cake.
You know it’s bad when even the “wise Latina” feels compelled to publicly call out KBJ for not knowing what she’s talking about.
Someone left my cake out in the rain. 🙁
When you’ve lost the Latina vote …
I’m waiting for the calls to impeach her to come from the Supreme Court.
Impeachment is only allowed for high crimes and misdemeanors. Being an utterly unqualified DEI hire with literacy issues isn’t a crime on her part, although I’d argue voting to approve her was a criminal act by the Senate.
(((Jarflax:
We’re in the modern age now, were the decisions are guidelines, and the rule of law doesn’t matter!
On a more serious note, I would be in favor of personally going through and removing from office every single person responsible for KJB being a judge, all the way back to her first confirmations.
It would be funny to see the case that challenges her impeachment reach the SC. Especially when the vote goes 8-1 in favor of allowing impeachment for incompetence.
Dissent: “We can’t allow a mere matter of competence be grounds for removing a rightthinker from the bench.”
Best is, she thinks she is laying down precedence with her ‘feels’ in her dissents but they arent even rooted in law or theory of law.
The wise latina may come to the wrong conclusion but at least there is some foundational aspect to those musings.
KBJ really is the epitome of a DEI hire.
DEI hire is a clear improvement over the Affirmative Action hire of years past.
*nods knowingly*
/Kamala
One doesnt just merely emote Kamala without presenting a word-salad.
They are both rationalizing to reach their desired outcome, KBJ is just
less intelligentstupider and can’t quite figure out that you are supposed to have the clerks find you snippets from old cases that you can pretend justify your conclusion. She thinks you are allowed to openly say “because I want it to be this way.”She’s just part of the William O. Douglass school of jurisfuckery.
Finding those snippets should be easier than ever with AI. Of course she’ll probably use AI to do so, but it will be a hallucination.
She’s just a very good example of a progressive judge. The others write opinions based on law, the Constitution, precedent, etc., and she just writes “I feel like it should be this way.”
Affirmative Action Jackson!

Ahahahahahaha! That cameraman couldn’t pan fast enough
That’s hilarious!

Why can’t we let more prisoners out more quickly?
I mean why wouldn’t you want criminals to not be in prison? What could go wrong?
Yes, a man who participated in a murder in 2022 at the MOA was not put in prison and was free to shoot another guy in 2023.
a black BMW
Racist!!!
JI-sy:
black BMW – Ok
Black BMW – RACIST!!!!!
I had to laugh. The 2022 incident involved Marquan, Lavon, and TaeShawn killing Johntae. I mean, c’mon. If you wrote that in a movie script, they’d send it back for a rewrite.
So, a BMW of color?
RC-sy:
You’d think that parents who really believed in systemic racism would name their kids Dave, Bob, Tom, etc. It would at least get their applications through the first screening by the Klansman working in HR.
Pope Jimbo:
That’s internalized racism, there’s nothing wrong with La-a as a name!
They’re not even pretending to be against violent crime anymore, are they.
😂
Somehow I don’t think they wanted J6 people let out of prison quickly.
What I really don’t understand is why these activists aren’t trumpeting the poster child for not incarcerating felons.
You anti-crime troglodytes probably wanted this vibrant new neighbor of ours to be locked up. Look! If you don’t lock him up (or deport him) he turns into a contributing member of society.
*The poor guy has since been fired from his govt job. I can’t believe King Walz didn’t speechify on what a success this guy was for Minnesoda.
“incarcerated people”. Yeah, incarceration is something that just happened to them. It’s a mystery why.
“A police dog in Italy famous for rescuing nine people in his illustrious career was killed after eating sausages laced with nails — and the beloved canine’s trainer issued an ominous warning to the sickos behind the cruel act.
Caressa, Bruno’s trainer, issued several messages on Facebook to those behind Bruno’s death.
“I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT,” the trainer promised in one post.
Caressa said he discovered Bruno dead in his kennel in southern Taranto after someone snuck in and fed him nail-studded sausages.”

WTF?
Yeah, my wife would go pretty much Hannibal Lecter* on someone that did that.
* the twist being she’d feed them their own body parts to eat.
You mean like that scene in Hannibal? 🙂
“Jeffrey Epstein’s brother said he “laughed at how stupid it was” for the feds to suddenly rule out the possibility his pedophile brother’s jail death was anything but a suicide.
“Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths,” Mark Epstein told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on Tuesday night….
He noted two medical examiners involved in autopsies for his brother — Dr. Kristin Roman and Dr. Michael Baden — who were unable to give firm rulings. The brother suggested it pointed more to homicide than suicide.”

Unbiased opinion.
Here’s a deep dive into the matter. I didn’t know what a long, shady past he had, where he was seemingly shielded from consequences others faced over and over. And I didn’t know he somehow moved quickly up the ladder in that club without having any education or experience.
https://x.com/amuse/status/1942692058357027258
Oh, I knew. Amuse is good. Also, the defense brought up that Epstein was an intelligence asset in his first trial.
That would explain quite a bit.
That sums up what I thought fairly well.
Since the Bondi announcement my concern has been what amuse says…Bondi and co. are being threatened. I cant think of another reason they would switch gears so suddenly and dramatically.
Whether he killed himself or not, plenty of rich people have done it when their world crashed down on them, isn’t really important. Who else was involved and why are they being protected are the important questions.
The whole Epstein reverse by Trump and team shows who is really in charge – it isn’t Donald.
https://x.com/stanger_05/status/1942613714420797551
How would releasing the “client list” help Trump? It would just get in the way of his agenda.
Thinking now about Trump conspicuously tossing Epstein off of Trumpalago. That was probably seen as a terrible faux pas by Epstein’s controllers as well as a signal that Trump would not play their game.
I always thought there must be some reason we dont know about that Trump had done to warrant the irrational hatred. It could be that and maybe other things that told TPTB Trump would not be their man.

“The Democratic lawmaker, 77, was approached in Washington DC last month – with the man behind the camera asking jaw-dropping questions about the white powdery drug.
‘Is sniffing cocaine at work a human right, Janet,’ the brazen interviewer, who shared the footage with Fox Digital, asked the blue pant suit-wearing politician.
‘What the f**k,’ Mills responded as she briefly stopped in her tracks from the jarring question – a dig at a drug scandal she was accused of being involved in during the 1990s.
The persistent inquirer did not stop there, asking Mills how much the cost of an ‘eight ball’ – slang for an eight-ounce portion – has gone up due to inflation.”

Eighth not eight. If you are buying coke by the half pound you aren’t paying retail.
Aren’t wholesale coke sales done in metric?
Cocaine sales are done in a weird combination of metric and imperial measurements.
“From quarters, to ounces, from ounces, to quarter-keys…”
It’s keys then Z’s.
I think you probably make the transition from uncut coke to cut with Allah knows what about you make the transition from metric to ‘murican.
8 ozs is a lot of coke. I would expect that to be pretty spendy.
77? Do these fuckers have anyone holding elected office under the age of 60 other than AOC, Newsome, and Whitmer?
Personally, I want Jasmine Crockett to be president. I would love to hear her give the State of the Union speech in her fake ghetto-speak.
I’m sure her sassy hand waving game on the stump would crush King Walz’s jazz hands.
Fuck that po-po! But I sure don’t want my fingerprints on any plan to reform them
After the Floyd Riots, the Feds came in and concluded that there was systemic racism in the Mpls cop shop. The Biden administration put together a consent decree to remedy all of that. Unfortunately, they didn’t move very quickly and by the time they tried to get a court to approve it, Trump had already won the 2024 race and the consent decree was voided.
Now the proggies in city govt are trying to figure out how they can impose the rules that were in the consent decree onto the cops, but without being blamed when crime spikes.
No one in the local media seems interested in asking how the cops can be so racist when their bosses (mayor, city council) are all some of the most progressive folx on the planet.
Yeah, it is quite odd that all of these insanely racist police departments are in cities that have been exclusively run by Democrats for many decades.
Similar situation here in Cleveland, where the CPD has been under a consent decree since 2015. The last Republican mayor of Cleveland was Voinovich, back in 1989. The Democrats currently have every seat on the city council as well. The county the city is in (Cuyahoga) has also had a Democrat in charge since they had a county government (2011). Somehow they keep getting fooled by these racist, idiot, union cops they keep negotiating raises for.
Hope is on the way
If you can’t believe the pollsters, who can you believe?
In case you doubt the veracity of that poll….
Hell get the coveted kiddie diddler vote.
They’re gonna give her or him another $2B to burn?

Run, Tim, Run!
JFC with the direction that state is going the GOP campaign ads write themselves.
If the GOP in Minnesoda can manage to run a halfway decent candidate I don’t think King Walz will win re-election.
He’s already been effectively bullied out of running for Tina Smith’s open Senate seat by other DFL’ers.
Maybe that is his thinking. He can’t win statewide, but maybe he can run for President. After all, who’d a thunk he would be chosen as the VP pick?
That idiot got invited to be VP the same way Peter Sellers was accidentally invited to “The Party.”
In regards to the Epstein cover-up, besides “national security” stuff, coming out with a client list would cause more harm than good. Let’s say it has all these rich powerful people, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, etc. then what? I doubt there would be prosecutions, and if there were they would be tied up forever and go nowhere. Although, there might be civil suits. Just a huge mess, that would dominate the news cycle. What would anyone learn? That rich men like to bang hot teenage girls? That the was an Israeli-US intelligence operation over oil interests and weapons sales? That shit has been going on forever.
We’d learn that we are governed by sociopath pedophiles. It would become obvious that only a rebellion and mass executions could change that situation.
I think what’s on those tapes goes far far beyond banging hot teenagers.
What Drake says.
Scott Adams’ take today was interesting. He said he’d seen enough, and in summary:
1. Statements from Patel, Bongino, and Bondi in the past seemed sincere.
2. They are all very clearly lying now.
3. It’s most likely that whatever they uncovered would be incredibly harmful to our allies or our own government. For example, it would completely destroy the CIA, but we still need the CIA to do stuff.
4. The Biden admin, and Trump twice, passed on transparency.
5. This is most likely the last we’re going to hear about it officially.
David Brooks has a question for us.
https://archive.fo/KX2gk
I don’t think he gets we feel the same way about Team Blue.
I don’t know, Brooksie…maybe every single politician everywhere being every bit as repellent, and the media whores telling us that it’s perfectly all right if they have a (D) after their name?
I wonder what the breakdown of Trump voters would be if you could suss it out.
What % really think Trump is all that and a slice of pie?
What % voted for Trump only because he is the GOP nominee and that is their team?
What % voted for Trump because he has been uniquely lucky in the people he has run against? (no way I’d ever vote for Hilary, Kamala)
What % voted for Trump simply as a huge fuck you to the existing system?
I don’t have much love for Trump, but I will admit that he is authentic. What you see is what you get. I also think he is the only president in my lifetime that I really think loves America (I started with Nixon).
Ford probably loved America. He was just unusually poorly qualified for the presidency.
I can give you my sample size of 1.
What % really think Trump is all that and a slice of pie?0 – I think he’s an asshole.
Only? No. But I didn’t have many options since I make it a point to vote.
Or Gropey Joe.
Meh. I rolled the dice on the chance that some of the policies I wanted would be implemented. So far I’ve got one – Immigration enforcement and closed border. I have not seen any real cuts to spending, and am waiting for rollback of regulations to actually take effect (if any get through the process).
The Pope has it right. I know plenty of Trump voters, but none of them see him as morally upstanding. Almost all of them call him an asshole, but like the job he’s doing.
I would say that the biggest reason he was voted in, originally, was due to horrifying the chattering class, such as Brooks, so much that the rest of the country said ‘Murca! And held their beers.
Trump is a wretched human being.
But, I voted for him three elections in a row, because Clinton is a monster, Biden is demented, and Harris is possibly the stupidest person I’ve seen in national politics.
Not Ronald Reagan?
Versus the fine upstanding moral people on the Progressive side. How many “feminist allies” were brought down by #MeToo?
As with a lot of things, the counter-question is, “Compared to what?”
“Hadeeqa Arzoo Malik interned over the summer last year, according to a post from documenting Jew Hatred. Malik is seen yelling in the faces of police officers in New York, calling the police pigs, and yelled, “We read the badges of the pigs. So to the Rahman’s and the Mahammad’s. To the Ali’s and the Abdullah’s. To the Rafid’s. To the pigs. Who can call themselves by the name of Islam. To the Muhammad’s. Put some respect on that name!”

“Mackey was prosecuted after sharing a meme during the 2016 election season that joked Hillary Clinton supporters should text in their vote. It was a joke, but Biden’s Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland accused him of election interference. Despite their claim, they could not provide evidence that anyone had been fooled by the meme into thinking that they should text their vote. This lack of evidence was not concerning to the DOJ, who also suggested that Mackey was racist because of the meme.”

“In 2020, after just a year on the job, it became clear that diversity goals were paramount. After taking over Austin’s department of about 1,100 firefighters, he said that he didn’t want people to “dwell on me being the first African American fire chief, because that’s not important. What’s important is that I’m not the last African American fire chief.”
One of his goals, he said was “really to increase the diversity at the Austin Fire Department. It needs to reflect more of the community we serve because I believe the youth of Austin and our youth in general, you will be what you see those young African American, young Latinos, people in the Asian community or LGBT community, if they see more firefighter that look like them, they will want to choose the Austin Fire Department as a career as well.””

“University of Houston professor David McNally proposed renaming his school to “George Floyd University” and abolishing tuition and grades at the Socialism 2025 conference Saturday.
While wearing a keffiyeh, McNally spoke on a panel in Chicago about what fighting the state would look like in the “context of growing an insurgent mass movement.” Among McNally’s ideas for the “de-stateification” of the University of Houston, which is a public university, included honoring Floyd after his highly publicized death in May 2020.
“We would open the university up in such a way that it becomes a resource of the broader community,” McNally said. “And I can tell you with great confidence that in the Third Ward of Houston, that means that we will be renamed the George Floyd University.”…”

Will everyone get free fentanyl?
Tenure was a terrible idea from the word go.
The thing about tenure is, it’s only really defensible for positions that are pretty unimportant and irrelevant.
Tenure is to protect the freedom of speech in academics. This is very important.
We can all see what an asshole this guy is, and we can choose to not be involved with that university.
It is not used that way. It is used to ensure that like-minded folks get virtual sinecures and all the filthy contrarians are sidelined.
Tenure only protects the freedom of speech of existing academics, which in practice at this point means tenure, and departmental control of granting tenure, has destroyed the entire concept of free speech in the academy. You persist in ignoring the fact that all the noble concepts in academia which emerged from the classical liberalism of western Europe after the enlightenment, have been subverted, perverted, or simply skin suited by the progressive scum.
All those “thinking of turning their lives around and enrolling in college” will be flocking to the new George Floyd University!
“TikTok star Kareem Rahma, host of the series Subway Takes, revealed on Forbes’ “Top Creators” show that a 2024 sit-down with Harris was spiked after she unleashed a “really, really bad” hot-take: “Bacon is a spice.”
Rahma — a practicing Muslim who doesn’t eat pork — said the remark was so baffling, tone-deaf, and politically radioactive that both sides mutually agreed never to let America see the tape.
Kamala Harris gave an answer so bad, even a left-leaning influencer feared it would tank her campaign and ruin his reputation in the process.”

There is no peak retard.
Bacon is a spice, and I pity those who cannot partake.
If anything it is the only relatable thing that has spilled from her gob.
My love for bacon is second to no ones, but no. Bacon is not a spice. Spices are sourced from plants. Bacon is sourced from pigs.
From Wikipedia – “In the culinary arts, a spice is any seed, fruit, root, bark, or other plant substance in a form primarily used for flavoring or coloring food. Spices are distinguished from herbs, which are the leaves, flowers, or stems of plants used for flavoring or as a garnish. Spices and seasoning do not mean the same thing, but spices fall under the seasoning category with herbs.”
You can’t raise pigs without plants to feed them. Ergo, pig-products are plant-based.
My grandfather, a Jew, loved pork.
Anyone can appreciate bacon.
I’m sure that gobbledygook of acronym California agencies will be able to provide thousands of homes cheaply and quickly. The poor and homeless will finally get their due.

A: He is breathing.
Prior to the Great Escalator Announcement, I never thought of Trump as anything other than an annoying background noise.

Has the gutting actually happened yet or is just plans for future gutting? I was under the impression it had not yet taken place except on paper.
Me too.
According to the National Weather Service, they were fully staffed at the time. They also issued the flash flood warnings well in advance of the incident. The information was there, but did not reach or did not convince the adult on the ground to move the kids.
“Senate Bill 5825 codifies some administrative things like notifying the superintendent that your child is going to be homeschooled using [insert curriculum of choice] taught by [your name], but then it rips the rug right out from under your rule-following feet. You see, dear parents, the bill reads that the curriculum you personally selected for your child must “be aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.”
What they don’t tell you is that any political reason you have for wanting to keep your child out of public schools — DEI, climate change, discussions about sex and gender, race — must be included in the curriculum you teach. Oh, well, then I’ll just teach it my way! Oh, dear parent, they won’t let you because once a year, you and your student have to be inspected by an “qualified evaluator” identified by the State to make sure what you teach is in lockstep with what the State teaches.”

The contrast in the nature of the Mamdani and Cuomo campaigns demonstrated the difference between the generations. Cuomo depended on millions of dollars of traditional broadcast television ads in his losing effort. Mamdani made effective use of short form Tik Tok ads that broke through Cuomo’s broadcast clutter. Use of cheaper new media venues should be an important ingredient in all Democratic campaigns.
Of course. It’s all about tactics and edgy new technobaubles.
Or maybe people just despise Cuomo so much they’ll actually vote for a commie.
I’m wondering if Adams might just end up back in office. Especially if it ends up a four-way general election.
The sexual harassing grandma killer has lots of negatives. But the broader point that he needs to appeal to younger voters is probably valid.
And those younger voters most definitely don’t watch much broadcast. Only thing I can think of is sports.
