Yeah, as I’ve suggested before, I think one of the big divides isn’t quite WFH versus people doing things that can only be done on site so much as people who think they can afford to live online versus the class of people for whom eating out a step above fast casual is a big deal.
I also noticed during covid how local TV all had a bunch of twentysomething women who all had aspirations of being in that first group and only covered a certain class of business and how they were dealing with the pandemic. No greasy spoon diners, no sirree.
I mean, heaven knows I couldn’t afford to use GrubHub like that, and I don’t think people are using it for the greasy spoon diner.
I wonder, however, whether the government sector workers a eating at an place that has anything on the menu for $3.
