Keep it Under Our Space Helmets

Poor hapless bastards are in the news again, but enough about the NY Mets. This is serious.

This is my review of Boulevard Wood Barron Barrel Fresh Ale:

The news lately has been a rather unusual series of scientists suddenly…dying. Now the easy way to explain this are a lot of these guys were fairly old and this sort of thing tends to happen. These are all prominent scientists so its going to draw a headline or two regardless of the timing involved. The trouble is these guys for whatever reason are all working on the stuff of science fiction like nuclear propulsion. They’re also dying under unusual circumstances.

Joshua LeBlanc, 29, a team lead on NASA’s most cutting-edge nuclear thermal propulsion projects, was found charred beyond recognition inside his burned Tesla after vanishing from his Huntsville, Alabama home. His family immediately feared abduction. He left his phone and wallet behind—an act they called completely uncharacteristic.

For those unaware, although accessible via an RFID card—typically a Tesla is access and “started” by an app on the owner’s phone. Seems odd? Others in congress are taking notice and have declared they are monitoring the situation but ultimately do nothing.

Where this gets sort of odd is it is not just the scientists dying unexpectedly, its the conspiracy theorists that typically look for such shenanigans and, well, call shenanigans on popular conspiracy TV shows.

First if was Erich Von Däniken, author of Chariot of the Gods, and considered to be the godfather of the ancient astronaut theory. His work is featured heavily in the show Ancient Aliens. Although to be fair, he was fairly old.

Then it was Nick Pope, a UFO crackpot cut of similar cloth also featured on the show Ancient Aliens.

This week it was David Wilcock, another Ancient Aliens guy…who apparently had a cryptic message on his social media the day before he died.

The one that seems out of place is Luis Elizondo. Now he was not on Ancient Aliens but he is former Army Intelligence and is best known for his work in investigating UFO sightings in Latin America—and getting them disclosed by their govenments. There’s a fun Netflix documentary he has out there on the subject, He might been a bit more difficult to kill than these other weenies, but it seems like they certainly tried to kill him off in a horrific motorcycle accident.

I’m not saying it was aliens or the government or the Jews (since I linked Zerohedge), but whoever “they” is seems to be highly aware of their audience.

How am I supposed to link this beer to the subject? Easy. I remember long ago watching this crackpot show on Friday night because I had two toddlers in the house while my wife was in Afghanistan. I would drink beer like this to get myself into the right mental state to watch these crackpots explain how none of these ancient monuments could possibly be built by the brown people living there (again, since I liked Zerohedge). Nevertheless, the beer is excellent. Although they clearly got the idea from someone else, because dark ales aged in wood barrels and sold for exorbitant prices can only be dreamed up by aliens. Boulevard Wood Barron Barrel Fresh Ale: 4.4/5 13% abv

    Nevertheless, the beer is excellent.

It looks good. I’ve other stuff from Boulevard. I’ve liked everything I’ve had from them.

    • Chafed

#MeToo. I’m going try to find it.

“To view this you must log in to X.”

    Yeah, right.

Now that Musk’s bout it, what are your complaints about it, now? I only rarely skim and have a few Biggies followed. *shrug*

I agree with Mo, or I think it was her: It was a profoundly important act of charity, what he did. Underappreciated, what he did there.

      • Threedoor

        Banned for no reason.
        Long format now.
Now that I’m banned links to X videos have no audio.

      • Mojeaux

I said that, and I stand behind it.

However, the algo making the decisions with no recourse is awful. Amazon uses it (per KDP [self-publishing]). Pinterest uses it. Facebook uses it. YouTube/Google uses it. Algo flags something innocuous and the banhammer comes down hard.

My husband got banned from Twitter because he posts sweepstakes, but he ALSO talks to people, so he’s no bot.

It’s not really the banning. It’s the no recourse. And, in the case of KDP, they keep your money too.

      • Threedoor

FB banned me for “account integrity.” Basicly it thought I was a bot. Only account I’ve ever had going back to 08-09.

Twitter. No reason given. But I’m guessing it was the trannies calling me a pedo. Simultaneously the same thing happened on FB with a guy taking my profile pic and putting someone else’s pedo conviction data over it and reposting it everywhere. Then the local tribal women got in on it and spread it along with me being a bad white man.

Poof banned from both platforms within the same month.

I’m convinced the platforms talk to eachother.

      • Threedoor

        Zero recourse.
You can ask it why you got banned but get no answer.

Twix tells me they deserve the right to ban you for any reason.

        That’s their reason.

      • Evan from Evansville

I’ve never posted on Twitter or X. I *was* banned for 24 or 48hrs on FB for some political stuff I commented on in a Private page. Someone there flagged me or I used some unchoice words, maybe. I’m careful to purposefully never say anything ‘off color’ or crossing any lines when I post there, mostly so I can use it later, and so nothing can be used against me.

Other than my Wrong Think, I suppose.

Was just curious. I’m remarkably ignorant about TwiXter, mostly.

      • Threedoor

Evan I didn’t have a warning a flagged post a short ban or anything on FB for a couple years. I didn’t swear on either platform other than the occasional “fuck off slaver”.

        Just banned.

I think people figured out how to get you banned. Calling you a pedo and responding to your posts on FB with “AI, bot” or empty posts gets the algorithms attention.

      • Threedoor

I also wasent feeding it on FB.

No pictures of my kids, wife, vacations, or their names. Politics, marketplace adds, and memes between my army buddies.

      • juris imprudent

FB banned me for “account integrity.” Basicly it thought I was a bot.

Flipside of that for my wife. Her account was hacked/stolen and FB never did shit to restore it to her.

      • Evan from Evansville

Still checking to make sure I’ve got all pics/ interesting posts off the FB fire. Adds to being kinda peak Millennial. Was 10 was Harry Potter was 10, and started FB my first year at IU in ’05, the first year it went to schools outside Harvard.

Strange to be among the lab rats in all of that. Worked rather well, for me. (I *was* the product.) I hate many of the other rodents.

      • Threedoor

One thing I never did was use FB to store photos.

A lot of people have their entire photo library there and not backed up on a desktop with a backup hard drive.

      • Evan from Evansville

Yeah, FB was by far the best messaging service for folk abroad. It still is, really. I posted pics of trips and would say I’m here or there. I’ve got all the info out, but I’m still looking for other pics. Let alone ones that others have posted of me. I haven’t begun to open that box.

      • Threedoor

Dumb me several people I talked regularly with on FB I didn’t have their phone numbers. A few I had gotten them and now I can’t contact those I didn’t have.

I read a Reddit thread from a guy in the Philippines that said he got banned for the same reason I did and that his job required him to use Messanger, he was afraid he would lose his job due to the FB ban.

      • R.J.

I am with Threedoor. Musk can stuff X. I got banned after a few days of looking at cat videos, no recourse. I suppose such social media is good for some people. Not me.

      • Evan from Evansville

I see your points. Humans will be human, and especially online, humans get silly, stupid and feisty. We social primates are not ‘designed’ to process constant, instantaneous social stimuli at all times from multiple sources, at all moments of existence.

Since why X is seems to be descending into the same shit as before, at least Musk pulled the rug from under the Previous Fucks ruining it. That act alone is the ‘necessary’ charity we refer to. It needed doing.

“…it seems like they certainly tried to kill him off in a horrific motorcycle accident…”
(Links I don’t click ^^ Those.) Just like Yvette from Clue. WhyTF am I looking her up *now?!*

I didn’t dive in, but Rogan had on a guy (and a few others, IIRC) that are going on about pre-Beiring Strait crossing cultures in Central/ South America, showing buildings and other remnants of civilization and such. I haven’t looked it up.

Just hearing that, thoughts, MexSharp? I also didn’t know (or forgot) your wife was in Afghan long ago. Interesting folk, we have.

Both were for your own good!

It’s damn hard to sell cars and stuff without FB.

I have a couple thousand bucks worth of stuff on CL but no one uses it anymore. Have three cars I need to sell but again, CL.

  5. J. Frank Parnell

Huh, for some reason I thought Von Däniken died years ago, didn’t realize that he was up until recently still alive.

    • Chafed

Ancient alien technology can keep you alive indefinitely.

That show is one of the greatest hoax/mocumentaries of all time.

Poor hapless bastards are in the news again, but enough about the NY Mets.

The Red Sox are just as godawful.

    • Evan from Evansville

*cough* Yeah, the Dodgers looked rough last night, too. Ohtani striking out three times?! Whooo.

*cracks knuckles* Yep. Can’t be too careful. L̵o̵t̵t̵a̵ ̵b̵a̵d̵ ̵d̵r̵i̵v̵e̵r̵s̵ ̵o̵u̵t̵ ̵t̵h̵e̵r̵e̵.̵ Interesting things about.

“Poor hapless bastards are in the news again, but enough about the NY Mets”

Terrible job of spelling “Philadelphia Phillies.”

    • Nephilium

I recently saw it reported that the Red Sox were doing so poorly that the team shop at the stadium was selling Yankees gear too.

I hate everyone in this story
    https://www.oregonlive.com/education/2026/04/an-oregon-school-district-and-its-teachers-union-agree-to-a-first-immigration-protections-in-a-contract.html

Fuck Woodburrito. If Trump was actually doing what they accuse him of, he’d cordon off that city and go door to door and send all the illegals home with their anchor turds. And the lying journalist “haven’t committed any crime but are trying to legalize their status”. Bullshit, that is the crime, you lying cunte. Educators who fear immigration enforcement? Only if theyre here illegally and the school district is illegally employing them. Which they probably are.

Beyond tired of this invasion turning this state into little Mexico. Fucking shitty taco stands, Mexican colors, and Spanish signs everywhere. Just about every food shop, from McDonalds to restaurants, is hispanic with zero clue what the food should taste like other than monkey see monkey do. Quality has plummeted.

    • Threedoor

      Privatize education.

Also, Greater Idaho. Let the wet side fail on their own.

    • rhywun

All heartily supported by the self-loathing but grinning white ladies in the photo.

    • rhywun

zero clue what the food should taste like other than monkey see monkey do. Quality has plummeted

Eerily exact description of the last experience I had at a diner in Manhattan.

    • Nephilium

I’d any school boards that are hiring illegals should all be removed from office and punished just as the private companies should be getting punished for hiring illegals.

If Trump were serious, he’d be going after the employers.

  9. Raven Nation

    Forget the Premier League…

English National League, last day of the season, second-placed Rochdale host first place York City (just the way the fixtures worked out). Rochdale (in blue) have to win, York City just need a draw; six minutes of injury time at the end of the game…

    Bedlam: https://youtu.be/RMyOJ4wgKmg?si=VjS-nZziQY7PV6ui&t=123

not shown: at least one (friendly) pitch invasion.

  10. Muzzled Woodchipper

    From the ded thread:

Prime is coming for the event and (shockingly) she has not only never tasted a corn dog, she’s never heard of it. This should be interesting…

What the fuck? Is this some elaborate ruse to punk me? Because I find it very hard to believe. Tucker sounds more rational.

    • Evan from Evansville

Count me in on this. I don’t see how an American, or even an ESL person who’s lived here for ~5+ years, couldn’t *not* have heard the term. Just “corn+dog” is goofy enough to warrant *some* understanding of it.

      *wary-scrunch face firmly scanning*

      • Threedoor

        Alien.
        She’s an alien.

      • Evan from Evansville

        (Is she hot?)
(OMWC’s in on it… can it be okay to wanna fuck baby aliens? 🤔)
(What sort are we talking about? 🤔)
(What’s their age of consent? 🤔)
(Most importantly, is she hot? 🤔)

        Is it safe? Priorities here.

    • Evan from Evansville

I think I’ve heard ’bout it. *shrug* What bothers you, so?

*searches* Ah. Late 19th century “early example of the stream-of-consciousness narrative mode,” without a linear narrative? I can see how that’d rankled ya.

Ha! You actually came up in a thought I’ll post later(?) about posting NSFW stuff here. (It involves an interest of yours! Not what y’all think!)

    • rhywun

      Maybe?

Although I am only familiar with the version that aired as a Twilight Zone episode.

      • UnCivilServant

        *Twilight Zone Theme*

I was reminded of it because I’m re-encoding my Twilight Zone DVDs…

    • Threedoor

      Never heard of it.
      It’s possible would hate it.

Is it a Nancy Drew book?

      • Nephilium

Watch the Twilight Zone, the original, in black and white. The Peele version isn’t bad, but I have a soft spot for all four versions.
