If the ruling stands (either after an en banc hearing, or after the court declines to re-hear the case) that sets up a circuit split which effectively forces SCOTUS to take the case. Although I hate to speculate on outcomes, the current SCOTUS seems likely to overturn the MA AWB, and if we’re lucky, issue a broad ruling overturning AWBs nationwide (ie, upholding the opinions of the other circuits which have struck down these travesties to RKBA).

The standard interpretation of the Constitution (and correct me if I’m wrong) is that constitutional rights apply to everyone in the US, not just citizens.
It honestly makes no sense to apply “they’re a flight risk, so keep them locked up” when the point of what you’re trying to do is make them leave the country.
If that’s true then we already don’t have a nation or borders to be concerned about.

It doesn’t prevent the country from having borders or enforcing immigration laws.
Since most of them are using fake IDs and have been evading law enforcement the whole time they’ve been here (indeed, many have already blown off one or more court dates), I have no issue with saying that they are “flight risks” as a class.
Remember, the best way to ensure that immigration law is meaningless is to require the most fine grained and extensive “due process” at every step.
The only process they are due is a determination on whether they are in fact one of – a citizen; a lawful permanant resident; a visitor on a valid visa – if no to all three, they don’t get to stay. Where they go doesn’t matter as long as they don’t come back here.

Non-citizens don’t have the right to vote. Is voting a right or a privilege? Is it a conditional right?

Your interactions in the real world happen within an overarching context of state-enforced rules. Here in the US, they also happen within a (still, in most places) high-trust society. So, sure, you can expect many interactions to go forward on a voluntary (viewed narrowly) basis.
Extrapolating from a high trust society with enforcement for crimes to an anarchist society is a tricky business. As we are seeing, even a few low-trust types who are unconstrained by enforcement are all it takes to reduce a high-trust society to something much less functional.

I’ve also seen, especially like where I grew up, about land being tied up for a data center that could be used for other things – farming, houses, etc.. I’ve also seen some concerns about other infrastructure impacts like on water and electricity.
In NH I’ve only seen concerns about water and electricity usage.
In Mike Rowe’s interview with JD Vance, Vance said some communities are concerned about electricity rates going up due to demand increasing but supply staying steady. Vance was talking about lowering regulations on power plant construction to increase electricity demand.
Yes, I know electricity rates are regulated. Each state is different in how they regulate it.
In NH, there are two main components to electricity rates. Delivery and supply. Delivery is cost plus a profit, reviewed by the state PUC every six months. The PUC also reviews supply every six months. Their review sets the supply charge based on supply and demand projections. So in NH, given the lack of power plant construction, more data centers will result in higher electricity supply rates.
They recently put 2 data centers in near me. One resulted in a new stoplight and improved intersection at a turn I use from time to time that used to be a stab the pedal and pray left turn. There was probably a dozen cars total in the parking lot, several of which looked like construction vehicles finishing up stuff like landscape. The other seemingly went up overnight and is more bare bones on the outside because it is next to the tollway. I drive by it everytime I pick up mail from my PO Box. I went in where there used to be a Sears call center. So there are much fewer cars in that lot now than there were. I have not noticed any noise from either. And also, neither is in a residential area. From what I understand, the water issue is mostly bullshit in that they run on a closed loop cooling system, much like your cars radiator. This is just a NIMBY issue.
In my area most of the complaints are about rising electricity rates which is deeply amusing given that every one of them is a huge supporter of all the “green new deal” shit that is driving the “affordability crisis” they pretend to be so concerned about.

I chuckled because NH is still part of ISO-New England. The other five New England states all have green new deal “stuff” which has led to increases in electricity prices. ISO-New England dropped its green energy policies in 2022, but there are still the state level regulations. NH’s electricity prices are the lowest in New England, but still pretty high (#9 in the country).
Combine the green crap from the other New England states with the inability to build new power generation. Yay.
