The whole purpose of growing a garden is to provide fresh food, get some exercise in the fresh air, and generally feel good about yourself. There’s probably about two weeks left to tomato season. I’m up to ten quarts of sauce, and will probably get another four. And there’ still some slicers for pizza, caprese, etc. About half the yield of last year, but I’m still satisfied.
Links?
Maybe this had something to do with it.
Pics/video or it didn’t happen.
But I thought the whole world hated us? This is actually a big deal.
Petty on both sides, but still entertaining.
Still nothing about lizard people.
The State of Washington is starting to resemble a death cult.
Okay folks, that’s it for me. Tomato sauce is simmering and I’m throwing down a beef stew as well. Back to the kitchen. Peace out, Glibbies.

An ethics complaint signed under oath has been filed against Rep. Lauren Boebert over sexual relations between her and three members of her congressional staff.
At the same time?
Va-va-voom!
Left, right, it doesn’t matter. If you give most women power, they’re going to act like a whore.
It’s one of the things I really liked about the series Minx (fictional show about a faux Playgirl getting started by a feminist). The feminist editor behaved the same way she decried in men, sleeping with the models, treating underlings poorly, taking advantage of her position. This is countered by the character of her friend, who starts as a conservative married wife. The friend eventually gets involved in swinging (portrayed as ethical and willing by all participants), becomes friends with the models, and fits in with the outcast staff (gay photographer, sleazy pornographer, black capitalist woman, and ditzy nude model).
My misogyny has been on display a lot lately. For some reason people aren’t as taken back about that around here as much as when I criticize Israel. Well, I don’t even really criticize Israel. i just point out that we’re fighting their war for them. I understand entirely why Israel would want us to do that for them and why Netanyahu would do everything in his power to get it to happen. No hate needed for that.
But yea, my view of modern woman is pretty dim. Only thing I got is I view them as a reflection of where culture itself has gone more than anything else.

It’s been done.
The Passions of Carol
But yea, my view of modern woman is pretty dim.
Misogyny is only half-right, you need to commit to full on misanthropy.
If something can’t go on forever, it won’t. AI bubble?

The CEO of nVidia is predicting significant hardware sales growth in the next year.
He’s probably right
The green energy cult? See the Washington link.
“Today’s decision represents a direct rejection of the clearly expressed will of Washington voters,” Building Industry Association of Washington Executive Vice President Greg Lane said following the ruling, according to KUOW. “Nearly 2 million citizens voted in favor of Initiative 2066 because they believed families and businesses should retain the freedom to choose the energy source that best meets their needs.”
The court is duty bound to protect democracy from the voters.
The voters are misinformed. We will give them an opportunity to vote the correct way next time.
I have to side with the WA supremes on this one.
They usually get it wrong.
Requiring a gas company to hook up new development is a non starter.
Say I’m building in Waterville WA and the nearest gas supply is down the grade towards Wenatchee twenty miles away…
Granted I’m not sure if gas is available in Waterville but it’s my favorite little town in BFE Washington state so I’m using it as an example.
Meh, If you are going to be a public utility, you’d better serve all of the public. If they are a private utility, they should be able to discriminate as they desire.
I’d echo the sentiment above about public utilities. They are granted quasi or limited monopolies where they operate. So fuck’em.
Their monopoly status should not exist.
Government control over them should not exist either.
They get to charge a fee for what that 23 mile hook up costs them. The subdivision then gets to determine if the bond outlay is worth the hassle.
Coulda woulda shoulda, they are a monopoly, so they need to accept the bad with the good.
Was this initiative written incorrectly (i.e. not a single issue) on-purpose to negate the vote?
No, the Washington Supreme Court’s job is to ensure complete Democrat control over the state. Any initiative that goes against Team Blue will be found unconstitutional. The multiple subject interpretation is like the commerce clause.
Wa Dems know how to control the court. Judges are elected and as usual, the vast majority of judges are re-elected. About a year before their next election is due, a retiring judge will announce he/she is retiring so the governor can appoint an correct thinking judge, who will then be the incumbent during the next election.
Don’t forget that WA is also motor voter.
The fix is in on the judges.
Oregon handles its supreme court the same way.
Almost lost him? I didn’t know we still had him.
He’s one of the original Las Vegas residency acts. He’s been there for many years.
Allegedly it’s not you that can have him but it’s him that can have you.
*shudder*
$75 million is some greedy little fuck shaking the tree, full stop.
There was a decimals there, it was a piddly 7.5 million
Was he left in a permanent vegetative state?
So, truly Orange Man Bad.
Wandering a street fair and just came across this nightmare fuel near me. I was wondering why I don’t see any birds in my back yard.
Tippi Hedren moment?
It really had to be seen in real life to get the full effect.
@Rhywun: I know you don’t do a lot of streaming, but two barn burner AFL preliminary finals this weekend. Highlights on yt.
GF next week: Fremantle vs. Brisbane.
OFFS don’t get me started.
Regular cable seems to have settled around female-only Australian leagues.
Both fem AFL and fem Rugby were on last night. No man sports to be found on regular Fox Sports anymore.
Huh. I don’t have cable but the inlaws do and there’s usually at least one game a week on FS2 I think. It was a 2;30am Central start this morning and about 4:30am Friday morning for the first game.
I found one location which says 12:24am (Eastern) Saturday on FS1.
I dunno. I did look last night and didn’t see anything. Maybe I was drunk.
Although to be fair I don’t generally look past the occasional 11:30PM local start. If it starts in the middle of the night I’m not gonna watch it anyway.
Because birds are not real.
Duh.
Yeah, GF usually starts a little later than normal.
? That appears to be a perfectly cromulent amount of birds, unless I’m missing something. When the
sparrowscrows come back toCapistranoMansfield entire trees are filled, if you fuck up and park under such a tree you’re gonna need two or three trips through the car wash. Oh, and if you’re out and about before dawn and under one of those trees, don’t make any loud noises or you’ll need two or three showers yourself.TH: still doing a WAWR?
The pic didn’t capture the cloud of them swooping all over.
Plus I walk around a lot and it seems like the entire population of birds is on this one block and nowhere else.
Raven – yes I got a slew of entries I just gotta edit and submit the post, busier than than the proverbial but I’ll try and get it down this week.
Swallows, not sparrows.
TH: remind me of the email? I can get you something tomorrow if that’s not too late.
Raven: whatarewereading25@proton.me
Majority of Washington Supreme Court justices are up for election this year. There is a push to get more (WA)constitutionalist judges elected this year but doubt it will work. Team Blue need to keep control of the court because if the income tax repeal initiative is successful, the court will be instrumental in having the initiative declared null and void.
Where all these anti-Semites around here?!
If saying that we are fighting Israel’s war in Iran is anti-Semitic, I guess I’m guilty. But I have to say I feel pretty safe saying it when little Marco said as much publicly.
Last I’ll say on that shit for a while.
FWIW I don’t think that myself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There is a lot of antisemitism coming from various quarters esp. vis-a-vis Gaza but arguing against our adventures in Iran isn’t one of them.
I’m not really bothered by the accusation as much as it’s done in this kind of obvious but fairly cowardly way where he avoids just saying it to me outright and there’s no reasoning to even back it up. Probably because there isn’t much of an argument.
The Trump regime’s justification for the second go around in this war was all over the place. I’m perfectly within my rights to take what little Marco said at face value on this as it’s the only one that really makes sense to little old me.
That looks almost exactly like the pizza I made last night. The only difference is I put a ton of basil, cubanella peppers, and thinly sliced spicy sausage on mine.
Okay, it’s different. But fantastic.
Suggestions: sliced tomatoes on a frittata. I love it.
The world needs more Carrot Top.
Well, I read the next link. Whether or not the allegations are true, the Tops career might be over.
If the story is true it’s Carrot TOP.
Not bottom.
Question to self: pros and cons of emigrating to Greenland.
Pro: quiet, secluded, no blue hairs.exchange rate is I dollar to six danish bucks.
Negative on the real estate market. Serious suckage.
Forget it.
From what I have seen everyone lives in barracks. Yuck.
No barracks.
No barracks bunnies.
I remember on Fort Hood there was this weird cab driver (can’t remember his name) that everyone knew. He drove a van and had his own service somehow. Not professional at all. Ended up in the back of his mini-van coming back from the bar pre-car days. There was some girl in the car headed to the barracks as well. She was talking about getting engaged to her boyfriend that she was going to visit. After she got dropped out the driver said that he just dropped her off at some other guy’s place the other day.
I miss the military man. Fun times.
I mean she wasn’t bad looking.
CNN and MSNOW can hire a YouTube blogger to sit in on the press conference.
They’d get more views.
Oh, oh – Nick Shirley!
RJ needs to read the UFO files, to see if SPACE SMITH or ZARDOZ are mentioned.
As an alien, he can read between the lines.
Fox had one of their “serious” reporters on the UFO beat the other day – forget his name, the guy who had the border beat during the Biden years. I rolled my eyes and changed the channel.
WRT the Iran conflict, our ‘allies’ in the region have plenty of incentives to ensure that the mullahs don’t get a nuke.
How involved are those allies?
If they’re not involved, this whole thing is yet another farce.
The only way to keep Iran in check, in my opinion, is if every neighboring country has guns pointed at the mullahs. Which is probably delusional to think that could ever happen.
They’re involved in part by letting the US have bases on their territory.
From dedthred, it’s odd and pleasing Med Folk got in touch and I verified my amphetamine Rx. It is fun having a permission slip. I feel so adult, but naughty! But like ‘allowed naughty,’ slightly less fun.
I wonder how long that’ll take to get to work and for them to process whatever it is that they need to process. *quizzical face*
Will feel good to get back on a schedule. I quite, quite hope this work comes (fairly) naturally to me. Monotonous don’t bother me, and I’m glad that’s the biggest reason for turnover, rather than the ridiculous-sounding quotas.
*still quizzical, perhaps more determined face*
I wonder what a prospective employer would make of the cocktail of drugs I’m on.
Nothing on a “schedule”, though, I think. I’m not on opiates currently, at least.
The Chinese 3.5 star phenomenon.
I hadn’t heard of this ‘theory’ before, but I see it all the time when I go to look at reviews of restaurants. You’ll have mouthbreathers giving some place that actually makes real food in house a 1 out of 5 while praising some shitty chain place. Knocking the place because some part of their order was slightly off. Or they went there and didn’t get their asses kissed/balls fondled the way they like. And they’ll end their rant about service with some aside about how the fuck supposedly sucked too.
Capitalism in a lot of ways is pure democracy when left unfettered. You get the sort of businesses you support. More of what you incentivize. And a lot of people are just as dumb when it comes to where they shop or get food as they are in their choice of politicians.
You gave me hand crafted food, but you didn’t give me enough ice in my drink and forgot the extra sauce on the side! HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS YOU FUCKS!
I don’t know if there’s a culture I truly like. But I know I don’t like most Americans at this point.
I hate everyone, even people fondling my balls.
⚽️
Don’t be hating on the TSA, Sean.
I generally start with the 1 star reviews. That’s where you learn the most about a place, and occasionally the reviewer.
“They charged sales tax. 0/10 stars. I was not represented in the decision to take my prepared foods.”
“I ate all of my food and then decided I didn’t like it. I demanded a refund but they refused. 1 star.”
Yeah, if there’s a pattern in the one star reviews, there may be something there, but rants like J. Frank Parnell’s are just as likely.
All:
One of my favorite was a 1 star review of the Orleans hotel and resort, when the girlfriend and I were deciding if we wanted to stay there for a Viva Las Vegas. The review complained about the included day care, they dropped their kids off at 0800 and when they picked them up at 2000, they had only been given peanut butter sandwiches instead of meals.
The hotel replied saying that they didn’t have a day care, but they had a children’s area. With plenty of signs saying it was unsupervised, and there were no guardians present. They mentioned someone sometimes brings down sandwiches if they think there’s abandoned children in the room.
“And they’ll end their rant about service with some aside about how the fuck supposedly sucked too.”
Listen, if I’m payin’, my remarks regarding how the fuck sucked WON’T be an aside. That’s the whole point of the review. But let me tell you about li’l Wendy. Carpet matches. Solid. (So was the Spicy Chicken, though a bit heavy on the sauce.)
I didn’t even know they listed brothels on Yelp.
I completely ignore Yelp and it pisses me off that Apple et al. feature them when you click on a restaurant. It seemed helpful maybe 10 years ago but it’s a completely failed idea at this point.
Old story, but new to me.
Trans woman is cleared of flashing her penis at three women using Ohio YMCA after judge ruled she’s too FAT for her genitals to be visible
I bet the judge sat there and pondered the pictures that proved this long and…hard.
One of the reasons I ditched my Y membership (the regional one mentioned) in favor of a nearby suburb’s recreation center. Also a nicer facility.
Apparently it’s NOT fun to stay at that particular YMCA.
I thought dicks out and in your face was at the Y was what those guys were happy about in the first place.
That’s my favorite ‘headline’ in a long, long while. At some point, dick-wielder ‘must’ have realized the visual check was too embarrassing to continue. But! “The 31-year-old’s lawyers claimed that her gut was too large for her penis to be exposed”
Her penis. Uh huh. Her penis.
The judge seems to be professional. “‘Quiet simply, the facts do not exist to support a find of guilt, as charges. Glines’ genitalia was not visible as a result of other portions of her body covering same.'”
Darren/Rachel does not pass. However, that a short, non-descript flopster of a fatty. Quite spherical.
Her penis. Uh huh. Her penis.
Lorena Bobbitt begs to differ.
I love how Darren’s commitment to the bit required much more embarrassment. Fitting, not that it does.
Listen. Lorena stole ‘hers.’ Through remarkable violence! Such casual disregard she had with her penis, too.
Make a charm out of it! (AutoFuck wanted that to be “penises.” Don’t get greedy, toots.)
Which means he could have been swinging a giant dong in every lady’s face and they still would not have been allowed to object.
His rolls of fat had nothing to do with the judgement.
Ya see, rhy? I see what you did with that cromulent observation. That’s the problem, people can’t focus on the right stuff. Or wanting the unseen to be seen, or the visible to be INvisible. If I’m in a legal situation in the US, needing to take my pants off to show that my dick is, indeed, quite visible to the jury, I can think of worse things. Free samples of me.
(I was in the pool! Just joking, but that would at least be an interesting day in court.)
🙁️
The internet here isn’t that great. How am I supposed to argue with you lot if I have a laggy connection?
You would have lost and seconded anyway.
I know a place with watermelon (icy cold) and super fast internet. Tomorrow you can hoop up via wifi.
