Polo was fun the other day, and M&D, Colin and the 6yo went out to Carmel’s Oktoberfest. Tons of really good art market. We had really good Polish street food. Fun day, music and some dancing. Few. Little ‘un has wheely shoes now, but we walked there in his new basketball shoes. They weren’t tied well, and on the way back, he and Mom did another little ‘race.’ His shoe popped off and he stumbled, banged his knee and forearm. Not his face or head, thankfully, on the cobblestone sidewalk.
A legit cry ensued. But Colin was able to soothe him. He walked it off after the jolt and pain faded. Atta boy. Dad kept mentioning as a joke how much he wants a porta potty for his bday. Blue. I bought a bunch of boxes and 13yo and Mom+ are decorating it as one, and apparently it’s damn, damn, damn good. It’s gonna be a big, big fucking hit.
