Toilet of the Dead

Showing the foreign version of a movie poster is very classy.

Zombie Ass:Β  Toilet of the Dead

Welcome to any and all new people! If you haven’t visited a Thursday night before, let me assure you, this is an oasis from the news.Β  I play classy movies and we discuss philosophy.

OK!Β  I exaggerate a bit. Sorry for that.Β  I play B movies and this can be treated as an open post.Β  Click the link above to start the movie. You can comment in real time, or talk about how your vegetable garden is going, or discuss your pets.Β  There are no rules on Thursday nights!

Tonight’s film is nothing more than it says it is:Β  A zombie movie about poop-covered undead zombies. This fine film is brought to us by famous (or infamous) director/writer Noboru Iguchi, responsible for Machine Girl, Robo Geisha, Mutant Girls Squad, and most recently he participated inΒ  The ABC’s of Death. If you need an education, a few of those links are the full movies. He has a great eye for the visuals and seems to be able to crank out a film every few years.Β  That’s a hard thing to do in the horror/comedy business. Much respect!

For those of you wondering what happened to the vote last week, well, one movie was pulled off Tubi and nobody voted for the other so I did my own thing.Β  Un-preeedictable! I did take note of the excellent suggestion for Queen Kong, that may be coming soon.

So watch!Β  Or don’t! Everything is voluntary until some weird kid poop on your corpse! Next week, if Tubi stops cancelling everything so quickly, we will watch Shriek of the Mutilated, about a group of kids who climb a mountain and get attacked by a Sasquatch.Β  Hilarity ensues!

Help! Tubi wants an account to sign in!

No account or sign-in is required to use Tubi. The only advantage to signing in is you can maintain a queue and save your place in movies you are watching. Follow these instructions to bypass the sign in:

After you click the link for the weekly movie, hit the Play button on the movie and you should get the screen shown below. The guest option may require scrolling up to see. Click the circled guest option to watch the film.

There is no need for apologies on Thursday.

      • UnCivilServant

Don’t deal in absolutes. There may still be a threshold

  2. Common Tater

Machine Girl, Robo Geisha, Mutant Girls Squad are all better than this stinker.

So is Big Tits Zombie (2010) and Rape Zombie Lust of the Dead (2012).

    • Brochettaward

And I’m Firster than you, but you don’t see me bragging about it everywhere and anywhere that people are.

    • R.J.

How about Mulva 2: Kill Teen Ape?

      • Common Tater

        I’ve never seen it.

Last I checked Big Tits Zombie was on YouTube.

Also, if you like NJH, Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl is great.

        • R.J.

Every time I go to show it, the thing gets pulled.

          • Common Tater

            Which one?

            • R.J.

Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl. It’s off Tubi now.

On a related note, I see that Killer Sofa, which I think I mentioned once before but haven’t actually watched, is still available on Tubi.

And Blood Diner is available on Roku. I’ve actually got that one on DVD, as I mentioned when you did Fido some time back.

    • R.J.

Nice. I am trying to plow ahead and get to Year 4.

      • slumbrew

Still hoping Trancers is somewhere in the queue.

        That’s great/awful.

        • R.J.

It will make it. Work and posts and home life are a crazy swirl lately so Thursdays have beeb disorganized.

Speaking of NSFW, YouP0rn somehow thinks I’m in North Carolina and has me blocked. My internet IP is Georgia, so not sure where the NC comes from. Guess I’ll need to set up the VPN again. Last time I used it, my cable internet did not play well with it (Nord).

    • R.J.

Has anyone written an article on VPNs?
There’s the Brave VPN and the Proton one as well. Might be better than Nord.

    • Tres Cool

Switch to Chicago- that always works for pr0nhub

Oh, I forgot to mention the best part: she makes $7,000 per month from TikTok videos.

      • R.J.

        Of course.
Well, she’s better off doing that than working in a cubicle. Hope she saves some of that money.

“I play classy movies and we discuss philosophy.”

Why, yes. Yes, you, and we, do..

    • R.J.

I am glad I got to play this absurd film tonight. I hope you are watching.

  8. Aloysious

    Well, this is a surprise.

    Diving in.

  9. Aloysious

You can tell this is my kind of movie because the innuendos are very subtle.

    • R.J.

You really have to pay attention to get to the bottom of it.

  10. Aloysious

    Also, lots of romance.

    *takes notes*

    • R.J.

That looks like the Giallo section. I just pulled Frankenstein 80 from there, among others.

      • Common Tater

I don’t know if The Beyond is “B-movie” enough for Thursdays. There are some other classics there.

I looked, but couldn’t even find where tonight’s movie is. I was hoping I could find some other NJH.

        • R.J.

It is like picking a needle in a haystack. There is no genre for it on Tubi.

  11. Aloysious

    Fart jokes.

    Never eat the worm.

  12. Aloysious

This probably made the rounds months ago, but it was new to me.

A government anti-terrorism unit in the U.K. has reportedly flagged key English literature as potential triggers for right-wing extremism – leading one author whose work is on the list to bash the agency’s strategy.

Classic authors such as C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, George Orwell, Joseph Conrad and Aldous Huxley were included on the list of potentially problematic texts compiled by Prevent’s Research Information and Communications Unit, according to The Spectator.

Other authors whose work is allegedly shared by people sympathetic with “the far-right and Brexit” also reportedly include Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Edmund Burke, Thomas Carlyle, Adam Smith and William Shakespeare.

Isn’t Brexit supposedly the official policy of the UK government at this point given the referendum?

    • LCDR_Fish

I’ve got “The Nigger of the Narcissus” on my shelf. I’ve seen a few different articles about re-titling that one on the web, but it’s kinda weird to think about it given the perspective and background of the author, etc.

    • Common Tater

      Link?

    • Chafed

Citing Huxley as problematic is hilarious. I can’t believe they don’t recognize the irony.

      • Lackadaisical

They’re immune to any warnings, they’re on the path to paradise and anyone standing in the way is a heretic deserving of destruction.

  17. LCDR_Fish

Always get a bit mixed up between Iguchi and Yoshihiro Nishimura – since they both go back and forth between direction and production for the different flicks (and Yudai Yamaguchi).

Did watch Meatball Machine Kodoku recently – (after rewatching the original DVD of Meatball Machine)…these new ones just have too much CGI (like Helldriver and RoboGeisha). The earlier, heavier practical effects (at least for the prosthetics) are just more fun IMO – Tokyo Gore Police, etc.

Psycho Gothic Lolita (make sure you don’t get the HK cut) is solid too – and if you want to get really weird – Oh, My Zombie Mermaid.

I haven’t checked out as much of the new indie Tokusatsu stuff either…other than Karate Robo Zaborgar which has some nice dino-tits (literally) and the Takashi Miike live action adaptation of Yatterman.

Non-Japanese, some indie stuff that might be worth looking up – Australian flick “Wyrmwood”, “VFW”, “Devil’s Rock”…and I just got a bargain on the 4K UHD/Blu-ray for “Brawl in Cell Block 99” – netflixed that Vince Vaughn flick before….same director as “Bone Tomahawk” and “Dragged Across Concrete” – on the one hand, graphically brutal…on the other hand…weirdly conservative from that movie-making perspective compared to the majority of Hollywood flicks.

    • Common Tater

Brawl in Cell Block 99 and Bone Tomahawk are both very good.

      • LCDR_Fish

Bone Tomahawk was excellent, and while I’d like to own it on blu-ray…it’s kinda one I’m not sure how often I’d watch.

Hell…my collection is all over the place. I bought Aronofsky’s Requiem for a Dream over a decade ago and I still haven’t watched it…

        • slumbrew

          Good, but depressing AF.

    • Common Tater

      Bone Tomahawk is on tubi.

      • Brochettaward

Overrated shit. You wait the entire movie to get to that one scene, and then it’s entirely overrated. It needed to go all out at the ending and it did not.

        It’s a boring movie otherwise.

I was also drunk while watching it.

I had to pass on seeing Steel Panther tonight because I have court tomorrow morning. I have become everything they are not. *sigh*

    • Lackadaisical

Jokes on you, the judge is at the show now and court will be postponed.

        • UnCivilServant

That’s just because summer turns your new residence’s air into something you have to drink rather than breathe from all the humidity in it.

          • Lackadaisical

Pretty much. I can’t believe it’s February already. I’m missing all the best weather in Florida.

        • Grosspatzer, Superstar

Spoiler alert: 6 more weeks of winter. It’s always sunny in Philadelphia.

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, Sean, U, and Roat!

It IS That Day, isn’t it? I don’t recall whether the local “Museum of Discovery” still has a groundhog in their menagerie. I’d rather ask the otters for their prognostication! 😊🦦🦦

      • UnCivilServant

It is one year since I start my current job.

Sure I’m still in the same item, but I’ve not had to report to those terrible people for an entire calendar year.

        πŸ₯³

        • Gender Traitor

          Happy Anniversary! πŸ˜ƒπŸ’ƒπŸŽ‰πŸŽˆ

          • UnCivilServant

It has been a dramatic improvement to my mental health. I still recall how when I officially accepted the transfer the stress literally fell away and I felt lighter. Everyone else who worked with me in the old group also bailed, the state workers early on, and the consultants when their contracts ran up. (One even left his contract early and took an extended leave to return to India – and he was the one the terrible manager liked).

            • Gender Traitor

Have you heard lately about how the old area is doing?

              • UnCivilServant

Well, they had a spat with the outside contractor they hired to implement Big Project, cancelled that project and are trying to do something similar in-house in the stupidest way possible.

The youngest software involved is old enough to drive, while the oldest is old enough to drink. The only feasible approach would be to install a replacement from scratch an port over only the absolutely required by law customizations. They’re going to try to do an upgrade one step at a time – through software versions that are unsupported and haven’t been available for decades. Rather than face what breaks once with a replacement to a supported version they could get the vendor’s help on., they’re going to have an endless cycle of breaking new stuff through iteration after iteration of unsupported unobtainable software.

                Geniuses.

              • Gender Traitor

                ::facepalm headdesk::

              • UnCivilServant

When we were in the RFP stage of Big Project, I advised against the contractor hired because of their sloppy RFP response, poor attention to detail in said response, and general overall crappy proposal.

They lived down to my expectations and worse, and I was unsurprised when they got the boot. Of course, that terrible manager took the dumbest approach towards trying to recover from that is also no surprise.

              • Grosspatzer, Superstar

Rather than face what breaks once with a replacement to a supported version they could get the vendor’s help on., they’re going to have an endless cycle of breaking new stuff through iteration after iteration of unsupported unobtainable software.

Ripping off the band-aid is painful but necessary. Our shiny new system (over 2 years to build) has some issues but the old system wasn’t sustainable. Adios, Python 2. So long, BI vendor who shall not be named.

              • Gender Traitor

Any idea why that contractor was hired despite your warnings?

              • UnCivilServant

In that group I felt like the prophet Cassandra. I told them the truth they didn’t want to hear, and I was ignored.

  21. Lackadaisical

I feel like a toilet zombie right now.

      • Lackadaisical

    Mornin’, reprobates. Mornin,, UCS.

Covfefe order arrived from Ocean City yesterday. They threw in a 2 oz. sampler of aa blend they call “Off Boardwalk”, Bali + Brazilian + Guatemalan. Enjoying a cup along with a smoke and Vicodin for the abcess (extraction scheduled for Monday). Gonna be a great day.

    • UnCivilServant

I’m no dentist, but I do recall Galen’s advice for dealing with abcesses – “Where pus is found, express it.” Basically, get that shit out of there. I suppose the extraction is for the tooth as well though.

      • Grosspatzer, Superstar

Yep. It’s a wisdom tooth, not worth saving.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, ‘patzie!

  23. Ownbestenemy

Weekend upon us! Going down to Lexington this weekend to visit some family and maybe catch a few of the sights/eateries. One bad thing of where we are at is direct flights are few and limited. My aunt passed away and for us to get back is just too cost prohibitive. I know sounds crass, but my mom is okay with that. Sucks cause it was an aunt that I spent the most time with growing up.

    • Grosspatzer, Superstar

Condolences on your aunt. We said goodbye to my favorite uncle this past summer, there’s no one left from that generation.

      • Ownbestenemy

Still got my mom and another aunt…but its a matter of time. Thanks Patzer for the condolences. She was suffering from dementia that was brought on by diabetes or so they say. In a way, this is a good thing for my cousins.

    • Gender Traitor

I’m sorry. I’m surprised at the lack of direct flights. It has to better than DAY.

      • Ownbestenemy

Well, direct flights that aren’t 1200/ticket…even the connecting flights to California are are 500-700 a piece. Carrying two mortgages and not wanting to drop $1500 on a credit card plus hotel and rental car just isn’t in our budget at this point in time.

        • Fourscore

Sad about your aunt, OBE, but we all know our future. In these days of family disbursement it’s tough to get together. I’m sure there are other family members that can’t make the trip.

          • Ownbestenemy

Thanks Fourscore. There is and there are family members that normally wouldn’t go that are going. So I take solace in that.

    • Sean

      Sorry for your loss.

  24. Fourscore

Good morning, each and every one,

Phil is a little behind the curve, we never had winter this year, he/she could have slept in this morning. I suppose a woodchuck’s gotta do what a woodchuck’s gotta do, when he/she is not chucking wood.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, 4(20)!

    • Grosspatzer, Superstar

Mornin’. Still plenty of time for winter to arrive.

      • R.J.

Looks like it is skipping TX this year. No February freeze predicted.

      • Fourscore

Any winter that returns will be shorter (I hope) and the snow won’t last too long. The little snow we had is gone, I poked around in the yard yesterday, I’m not sure we have any frost left in some places. Now another warm week before it even cools off very much.

I’ve been starting a fire in the furnace in the morning, run two loads of wood through and that’s it for the day. Stays warm all day and evening. In days of yore I’d be chuckin’ wood in all day long. Bring in a wheelbarrow of wood every days now, as opposed to daily in years’ past

        • Fourscore

          every three days

    • Sean

I bet on a snowy winter, and “lost”.

      *eyes shiny 4×4*

      No regerts though.

        • Sean

          Maybe.
