Where they asked to provide that? Because I heard that one of the first things people are told to do when some authority shows up is to ask for their IDs, to take pics, and to then check. I would suspect that when you know you are engaged in something that is abuse of your authority, and you know so, you would avoid showing your ID.

Some half a million workers in California are getting a big bump up in pay.
The state’s minimum wage for fast-food employees jumps to $20 an hour on Monday, giving many a raise of 25% from just last week.
