Thursday Morning Links

Montreal puts Tampa on the bring of elimination. Vegas does the same to Utah (that sounds so weird to say). Philly finally puts down their cross-state rivals for good. The Astros had a great result…their game was postponed. And across the pond, Athletico and Arsenal played to a 1-1 draw in the second semifinal that was nowhere near as exciting as the Bayern-PSG one on Tuesday, which might have been the most enjoyable match I’ve seen in the last 20 years. And that’s it for sports.

Neat headline. Only it’s a lie. Everybody still has a right to vo
te. They just can’t racially gerrymander districts anymore since that’s a clear and obvious constitutional violation.

Stop talking and just do it already. Let them defend themselves for a change.

Ann Arbor is a whore. For more reasons than one.

That escalated quickly. Maybe they should have sent social workers instead.

This story is simply amazing. I’m at a loss for words. Fortunately in the name of hilarity, the woman in question appears to not suffer that same problem.

This probably deserved more coverage than it received. Sheinbaum is in a box here. The extradition treaty between the countries leaves her little wiggle room once evidence is provided. Will she honor it or ignore it? And will she retaliate with similar accusations? Might be crazy times on the southern border soon.

I wonder what his sentence will be. I also wonder if some local judge will order him released even though he pleaded guilty.

Is this just the beginning? I sure hope so.

Quick, give them all pregnancy tests. Or had they stopped doing the sex boat thing?

Good luck. They can name all the reasons they want, but we all know it’s because the federal funding spigot got turned off.

Here’s some fun stuff. So get your toes tapping. And get off your seat. Enjoy them both.

And enjoy this lovely Thursday, dear friends.

LATE ADDITION MUSIC LINKS: RIP, good old boy. You were a real one. And you’ll be missed. Especially in Texas.

“Supreme Court hollows out a landmark law that had protected minority voting rights for 6 decades”

Does this mean I still have to do jury duty?

    • WTF

I love the lie they use to frame the story. Minorities have not lost any voting rights, they just can’t have racially gerrymandered districts to ensure their preferred minority wins.

      • rhywun

Six decades of your vote being taken for granted and being treated like children. What kind of wingnut monsters would take that away.

      • Threedoor

Racially gerrymandering is fine. Just do t say you’re doing that.

    • rhywun

That is pretty fucking brazen lying, The Associated Press. But I expect nothing less from a bunch of disgusting collectivist racists.

      • UnCivilServant

        Poor Rhode Island and Providence

      • rhywun

The botanical gardens in my town used to be called “Plantations”. I can only imagine all the fart-sniffing congratulations everyone gave each other when they retired that name.

      • WTF

        Poor Rhode Island and Providence

Of course in 2020during the BLM/Floyd bullshit RI officially changed their name from “Rhode Island and Providence Plantations” to just “Rhode Island” seeing as how racist and triggering “Plantations” is.

  2. Common Tater

When in history has Germany raised an army?

    • AlexinCT

I am not too worried about it. To do this army raising, they have to gut their welfare system. They have barely cut $39 billion now, and the leeches are demanding everyone in the government be sacrificed to Marx.

    • WTF

Trump may not be able to formally leave NATO without congressional approval according to the treaty, but as CIC he can reduce the troops and equipment in Europe to zero (or to 1) while still technically remaining in NATO, since disposition of the armed forces is exclusively in the CIC’s control and not subject to judicial review.

      • juris imprudent

and not subject to judicial review.

Nothing is beyond our reach! /robed tyrants

    • rhywun

I don’t know the numbers but the US has already pulled tons of troops out of Germany – and the locals were only too happy about it.

The army base in the town I lived in closed a couple decades ago.

And yes, we have been hugely subsidizing their welfare system and their rather excellent infrastructure all this time. Let’s stop doing that anymore.

      • Fourscore

I was fortunate to spend most of the ’60s and some of the late ’50s and early ’70s in Europe.

The times were quiet and the dollar still ranked pretty high. The best of days without the rancor.

  3. Common Tater

“Might be crazy times on the southern border soon.”

    soon?

    • rhywun

I wonder if there are any state governors there who are NOT owned by the cartels.

  4. Common Tater

“I wonder what his sentence will be.”

It should depend on whether he kept saying “meow” after pulling people over.

  5. AlexinCT

Neat headline. Only it’s a lie. Everybody still has a right to vote. They just can’t racially gerrymander districts anymore since that’s a clear and obvious constitutional violation.

These people are furious all their criminal shit is being reversed, and they can see their abuse of power dreams go up in flames. I expect this to lead to even more calls for violence. Don’t take my word for it. Temu Obama promised that.

Now if we can get the NE gerrymandering before the SCOTUS. 9 states with zero republican representation and each with over 40$ republicans proves the left cares only about power.

    • (((Jarflax

40$ Republicans? Better be two for one cause I can get them for 20$ in town!

      • Rat on a train

These are high class. The best.

      • AlexinCT

        40$ was 40%…

        NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!

    • DEG

There is a Nebraska gerrymandering case?

    • rhywun

9 states with zero republican representation and each with over 40$ republicans

The number of representatives needs to be greatly increased in order to deal with that situation.

As it is now, the only way to form districts with roughly 800K residents each in most states is going to involve many of them being dominated by urban voters, i.e. Democrats. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • Fourscore

Blue Minnesoda, geographically red but the urban centers run the blue government

      • R C Dean

Same in AZ, thanks to the McCainite RINOs that control the party there.

      • The Last American Hero

Bingo – these states have so few reps the seats are bound to swing blue. Just like there aren’t any democrat reps in Wyoming.

This story is simply amazing. I’m at a loss for words. Fortunately in the name of hilarity, the woman in question appears to not suffer that same problem.

I’m finding this really hard to believe. Trying to find a more MSM source came up with only a few articles. He’s also still at the bank.

So I’m wondering if this a job protection ploy.

    • (((Jarflax

If the sexes were reversed I’d suspect the ‘victim’ got caught cheating and needed cover. So, that’s also my thought here.

      • Sensei

        I’ll buy that.

      • DEG

        From the article:

A spokesman for JPMC said a thorough internal investigation found no evidence to support Doe’s accusations. ‘Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims,’ said the spokesman. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.’

My money is on total horseshit.

      • Evan from Evansville

Got caught cheating at work or the caught cheating art of seduction from one’s ‘boss?’

        (Yes.)

      • DrOtto

Eatin’ ain’t cheatin’. I remember Clinton’s executive order on that.

      • Mad Scientist

Married guy bangs his boss, his wife finds out, he claims ongoing drugging and rape. He’s the victim!

  7. Common Tater

“Her accuser claims she admitted to drugging him with the date rape drug ‘roofies’ on multiple occasions….According to Doe’s complaint, Hajdini’s alleged abuse started almost immediately after the pair began working together in the spring of 2024.”

    doubt

    • Common Tater

Although I think the whole roofies thing is urban legend. Even when they were a prescription drug, it’s not as though they were something illegally manufactured or that drug dealers sold.

      • Evan from Evansville

I think the same. Slip someone a Micky? Uh. Slip ’em a Mickey Morandini, later a not-great Cubs second baseman?

Elaine slipped George’s boss one. I don’t think that really works. ‘Make drunk person drunker and drug ’em to get ‘more drunk?’ Eh. Uh. Huh.

      • EvilSheldon

It mostly is. Most people (in the US) who claim to have been roofied were actually blackout drunk.

      • The Last American Hero

Um, there are several documentaries on the Lifetime network that refute that claim.

    • R C Dean

“I’m starting to think you aren’t coming out here for the hunting.”

How do you get roofied multiple times by the same person? How exactly did she maneuver her roofied sex toy to her sex dungeon, since at best he would be barely functional and at worst passed out cold.

Interesting how the Left pivoted immediately to “Black and Brown”. One wonders who is the actual racist here?

How are neighborhood watch signs not inclusive? Unless they’re saying criminality is disproportionate among certain demographics. Too bad professional journalismists won’t ask such obvious questions.

I hope they were. If anybody attacks someone with a knife, I’d hope more than one person there would shoot them dead.

Also, kudos to the attacker for trying to do a stabbing rather than shooting while King Jug Ears was in town. It shows that we still have a special relationship with the UK.

ISA technology can target and preempt super speeders’ dangerous behavior. It prevents a vehicle from exceeding the speed limit in the first place, potentially changing the fate of everyone in its path. This technology was installed on more than 700 city fleet vehicles and successfully eliminated speeding in those cars and trucks.

Authority to use the technology in the vehicles of the most egregious repeat offenders is currently included in budget bills being advanced by both Gov. Hochul and the state Senate. The Mamdani administration supports this and urges the Legislature to include ISA in the final state budget. We urgently need this powerful new tool to target the small but extremely dangerous group of super speeders.

We could take away licenses or do this. This is better because it totally gets the camel’s nose into the tent! Win!

There’s a Chevy Suburban around my office that has the Dutton Ranch livery on the doors.

I don’t think I’ve seen anything so gay since my last MMM threesome porn binge…

Huh. I have family in Big Timber. It’s definitely a small town. Only plus I can see is 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park.

They Left for the School Bus. ICE Picked Them Up Instead.
A school transfer disrupted two brothers’ visas, their lawyer said, leaving them vulnerable to arrest and unsettling their Mississippi school community.

    Paywall: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/29/us/mississippi-basketball-players-arrested-ice.html

The staff at Piney Woods did not warn the family that the teenagers’ transfer to a public school would affect their immigration status, regardless of guardianship, said Amy Maldonado, the immigration lawyer representing the brothers.

They still got to ride on government transportation, right?

These sob stories are so by-the-numbers I bet even the AI models they are using to generate them are getting tired of this shit.

It doesn’t affect their status, it probably just got them on the radar.

I didn’t read the story (paywall, not laziness), but it seems they were talented basketball players?

I wouldn’t put it past somebody in a rival school district dropping the dime on them. Probably a rich school district that has parents with political connections.

The coolest hot news in Minnesoda is that the rubes are revolting and switching back to flying the old racist state flag! There have been nearly a dozen cities now that have formally signed up to fly the old flag.

Local proggies are not happy. They are also confused. They can’t understand how the new flag – which was happily adopted by the Resistance that fought ICE in Mpls – could be disliked by anyone.

This is why I find the recent trend of cities like Elk River, Champlin and North Branch officially flying the obsolete, racist flag baffling. People across the state, of many different political background, have rallied to defend each other against literal assault by the federal government.

To my eyes, flying the old Minnesota flag now is akin to flaunting the confederate banner well after the end of the Civil War — always a racist, retrograde gesture. Elected officials acting in this way should be ashamed of themselves.

The flag change was one of the things that happened because the DFL won both houses of the legislature and the gov’s office. No one had ever talked about it before. Once the DFL nuts discovered that they could jam through whatever they wanted, they decided to change the flag. So no matter how much they talk about there being a process and everyone had a chance to comment on it, that is a lie.

“The O’Keefe Media Group on Tuesday released undercover video of a Fox News Media VP bragging about spending money at strip clubs and charging it to Fox Corporate cards.

Jason Hermes bragged to an undercover OMG journalist that he can just walk into a strip club and spend thousands of dollars on a Fox corporate credit card.

“You could take this [Fox Credit Card], walk into a strip club, literally, and spend $4,000…on Fox! Go into your corporate manager, and they would sign it and pay it off…it’s still like that.“We would just…lie on the [Fox] expense reports—no one’s gonna f***ing say a word to me,” he said.

“It’s the best job, because I’m a celebrity around all of it, but no one knows me. It’s like winning the lottery,” he said.”

But on Oct. 16, 2018, the hospital’s chief perfusionist, Jamie Newberry, decided to stop disinfecting the heater-cooler devices with bleach every two weeks and putting hydrogen peroxide in the water tanks — instructions LivaNova had said should be strictly adhered to. Instead, he directed the staff to drain the water tanks every day. After the hospital stopped disinfecting the units, it saw an outbreak of M. chimaera infections. Nolte’s was among them. At the time of Nolte’s March 2019 surgery, the heater-cooler unit hadn’t been disinfected in five months.

Love to know why he decided not to follow the OEM procedures. Also a typical jury – let’s make the manufacturer partially responsible too.
