IFLA: The “Weaksauce” Edition of the Horoscope for the Week of June 21

by | Jun 21, 2026 | IFLA | 25 comments

Things are a bit behind schedule here, But as far as the skies are concerned that’s no big deal, because the only warning happens on Saturday, and is annoyingly vague. It’s either violent trauma or something involving a soldier.

Happy Summer! Is a good time to be a crab person, but that luck only lasts until early next week, so get while the getting’s good for those of you born between Gemini and Leo.

This guy has a definite woke infection, but his snark is glib-level.

Cancer: 7 of Coins reversed – Cause for anxiety regarding money especially for creditors.

Biber is still popular with the yoots, right?

Taurus: The Star – Loss, theft, privation, abandonment, hope, bright prospects.

Let’s ignore those first bits. Past tense! ‘Hope and bright prospects’ it is! Put out a couple more applications yesterday, hopefully I’ll find something bright and shiny soon.

Dad wanted Red Lobster for today and Mom’s out to get it. Bro’s family is biking the ~12 miles here, so should be fun for all. This side of the family, and his, I presume, is impressed we got the near-6yo riding his bike during our time in charge of ‘im. I doubt *he* is biking the whole way, but not sure how they’re gonna do it.

    Have a lovely day, all.

@UCS from a day or two ago: Yes, I am ‘in’ Indianapolis. Our place in Carmel is ~5 miles from the northern top of the I-465 loop in Carmel, IN.

Bro’s fam is here! Away I go! Peace out for now!

These are the final broadcast from countries (primarily radio) as they fell. Japan’s is interesting since it was the first time the Japanese people heard the emperor’s voice. In over four minutes he never says the word “surrender”, that is some serious deflection. The DDR is oh so DDR. It is a much watch. The Falklands captures the now missing British spirit.

If Milei decided to take the Falklands today Starmer would probably apologize to him for they still being a colonialist racist British possession. Not that they have anything anymore they could defend it with, they had to borrow German ships for the last NATO naval exercise.

      • Drake

The Brits have 4 Eurofighters there. That used to a big deterrent before some cheap drones could probably take them out on the ground. Then it would be a bum fight between the local militia and whatever Argentina could land.

      I noticed that as well.

Viet Nam was mostly “Adios”, “Bye-Bye”, and won’t be back

“Leo: Judgement – Change of position, renewal, outcome. Another account specifies total loss though lawsuit.”

Well I just did my weekly switch to another domicile, but I don’t expect renewal nor do I expect any change in outcome. No lawsuits pending that I am aware of either.

I will not turn the heat on in June.

I will not turn the heat on in June.

I will not turn the heat on in June.

I will not turn the fucking heat on in June.

    • Spudalicious

I had to turn it on for a day last week. Two days later, I had to turn it on the AC for the season.

      • Fourscore

I had to make a fire in the wood furnace last week, 2 days later, turn on the AC. Now though about perfect 72 outside, 76 inside, doors open and fresh air coming in.

Rain is coming every few days, not too much, so no sprinkling. Bees have a smile on their little faces.

      • Spudalicious

It rained yesterday. Today is mild, sunny and in the 70s. My favorite weather. And the brief respite from pollen.

      • Fourscore

No mosquitoes again this year, like none. Same as last year.

        Lots of deer flies though

    • PieInTheSky

off course not. the AC been runnin all day. Damn hot day.

I’ve only been called daddy once today. 😒

    • Ted S.

Everyone else called you “non-gestating parent”?

    • Fourscore

I’m still waiting…Maybe an email later…or maybe not.

I’m not worrying, I remember neglecting F’Days for my Dad as well. Snail mail and a lot of time overseas was my fall back.

      • Fourscore

Ooops, spoke too soon. Daughter emailed a card, a little sentimental but I’ll take it.

    Skynet take the wheel

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the Tesla failed to make a right turn at an intersection and continued forward at a high rate of speed before crashing directly into the front room of the residence.

A 76-year-old woman was standing inside that room when the vehicle entered the home and struck her. She was flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver, identified by authorities only as a 44-year-old man, was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Investigators said he showed no signs of intoxication and has been cooperating with officers. No charges had been filed as of Saturday afternoon, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, led by Constable Terry Allbritton, said the driver told deputies he had the Tesla on Autopilot at the time of the crash. That detail is the driver’s account — it has not been independently confirmed by investigators.

    What was her futurecrime?

  10. The Late P Brooks

A quick dose of Agent Orange for the driveway. Finally dislodged the Element rear brake rotors. Sometimes a bigger hammer really IS the solution.

And now it’s just about time for the green flag at Elkhart Lake.

It just doesn’t seem to kill grass. Roundup Weed and Grass is all weed, no grass poison. Last year the weeds overwhelmed me in the garden, this year I reduced the size by half and am spraying the unused half. I might till that in a couple weeks, I sprayed again today, see if it works any magic.
