I learned a new trick. Lets see if it works…

If those jumblies are bouncing for you, it works.

¡enlaces!

CUSMA? You know, maybe run it by marketing, maybe a few 16 year olds before announcing it first.

In a sane world, she would kill the duck and eat it.

This isn’t a sane world. The only way to mess up faking your on kidnapping, is by …going outside.

You probably noticed the graphic of all the South American countries eschewing left wing presidents since USAID was defunded. But…

It hasn’t worked out everywhere, at least not yet.

Once again, Cuba is embracing the “China Model.”

They say you can’t really sue someone that doesn’t have money, but interesting ruling.

Something odd I found out driving around upstate NY: My daughter inexplicably has Deftones on her Spotify favorites list. They say the oldest daughter is just a female version of dad but this still surprises me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Finally, some science that is actually settled.

“You know, maybe run it by marketing, maybe a few 16 year olds before announcing it first.”

Gun-grabber group “Moms Demand Action” doesn’t think that’s funny.

Never been found. I’m pretty sure it’s a myth.

I thought it was the Grand Society for Protecting Our Teenagers that was a myth.

“Cuba resists heroically and creatively, but has endured for too long a barbaric, undeserved and unbearable punishment, to which is now added the threat of military aggression,” President Miguel Díaz-Canel said late Wednesday in the closing speech of the Communist Party session.

Yeah, anything sold to them by a U.S. company wouldn’t be covered by the Ex-Im bank. Tres barbaric.

And since Castro never paid his bills, no one else on earth would trade with them either after getting stiffed. Much unbearable, many undeserved.

    • Brochettaward

Half the planet roughly was commie at some point and they received direct influx of aid from the Soviets. Not trade, just free shit.

The worst part about the sanctions is that they allow these crooks to use America as the reason for their failure.

rollbacks of women’s and minority rights

This is the horseshit I assume it is, right?

      • Tonio

By “rollback of rights” they mean no free tax dollars (ours or theirs) for gay race communist puppet theater.

      • The Other Kevin

So the right of women to be seen naked by a man and have a penis shoved in their face in a locker room doesn’t count?

The duck waddled on ‌to the stage at the start of Claudia Sheinbaum’s regular morning press conference, took a seat where ministers and officials are usually seen, and unfazed by the occasion, let out a few quacks.

Seems like the Scots had similar ideas.

Not sure why various nations are adopting waterfowl as mascots for this year’s metric kickball tournament. Some kind of contagious mallardy, I suppose.

This too will come to Paz.

    Bouncy

  10. DEG

The move would give Paz broader powers to clear road blocks by demonstrators, which have caused serious shortages of basic goods and paralysed large parts of the nation.

In a statement, the president said the state of emergency would “free the country’s roads” and “restore” normalcy.

Under law, Bolivia’s Congress must approve or reject the measure within 72 hours of the declaration.

The blockades, led by miners, farmers and indigenous groups, are part of protests which started at the end of April.

I saw videos of some of the blockades. The blockaders were armed with a mix of bolt action rifles and shotguns in the videos I saw.

TOO LOCAL NEWS: Hampton Beach (NH) sand sculpture winner

Abe Waterman won first place in the 2026 Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting Classic this weekend.

Abe Waterman’s sand sculpture, “The Hieght of Stupitidy,” at the 2026 Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic.
Waterman, from Canada’s Prince Edward Island, won over judges with his towering sand art. The sculpture has an AI robotic hand clutching a human skull at its top, and it features people with their heads literally in the sand. Waterman said it’s a play on how humans use their brilliance to create technology that can lead to their detriment.

The sand sculptor knew he was testing the bounds, and gravity. Waterman told the media after winning that he wasn’t 100% sure the tall sand structure would stand. He was further surprised that it withstood a heavy rain storm late last week.

I like the People’s Choice Award winner better despite being impressed that Waterman’s sculpture survived all the rain we had recently.

    • R.J.

That is a really nice sculpture. Surely he used some preservative and an interior skeleton.

      • R.J.

Well, the People’s Choice Award winner didn’t come with a tedious lecture. Although, the winner is pretty impressive.

    Nice false comparison.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/23/us/politics/antifa-ice-protesters-sentencing.html

    Paywall

Six of the defendants who were convicted of terrorism charges along with Mr. Song were sentenced to between 50 and 70 years in prison. Another, who was found guilty of lesser crimes and was not even present at the protest, was given a term of 30 years in prison. A final defendant is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

The remarkably stiff penalties, issued by Judge Mark T. Pittman and Judge Reed O’Connor, were significantly longer than the lengthiest sentence handed down to any of the more than 1,500 rioters who were prosecuted — and then given clemency — for joining in the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The most severe sentence faced by a Jan. 6 defendant was the 22-year term given to Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the far-right Proud Boys.

    • juris imprudent

The most severe sentence faced by a Jan. 6 defendant was the 22-year term given to Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the far-right Proud Boys.

Who wasn’t even in DC that day as I recall.

      • The Other Kevin

None of the J6 people were charged with terrorism either, right?

    • Shpip

For a bit more context, Andy Ngo has been following the case:

Eight members of a North Texas Antifa terror cell received historic federal sentences on Tuesday, with prison terms ranging from 30 years to life in prison for their roles in the shooting ambush on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility.

Funny how the Times left out that picayune detail.

The suspects look like your standard spiteful mutant Antifa rabble, including two troons — with one exception. Marciela Rueda looks a bit like Sen. Ashley Moody, and you’d suspect that some enterprising lad would attempt to fuck some sense into her. Too bad he’s going to have to wait seventy years for her to get out of the pen.

      • rhywun

Are you telling me that the NYT is feeding us a line of DNC-powered bullshit?

        Well, I never.

      • Nephilium

I enjoyed the criminals statements after being sentenced.

Cameron Arnold cried and said the night of the incident felt like a party and an opportunity to protest. He said he had expected to be back at home partying with his friends after the direct action.

Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada also cried and claimed he was an artist and activist, not a terrorist. Zachary Evetts promised to continue appealing his conviction.

Have they gotten job offers from Harvard yet, or do they have to wait until President AOC pardons them?

      • Brochettaward

Whose never ambushed some federal agents conducting live operations in their area?

You people claim to be libertarian. I think you’re frauds.

    • Brochettaward

The J6 defendants didn’t get sentenced longer because they didn’t have anything they could make stick. It sure as shit wasn’t for lack of trying or desire to do so.

      • Gustave Lytton

It’s the modern day equivalent of disturbing the peace. A catch all when the police want to process punish you but don’t have an actual crime to pin on you.

    • R.J.

If you are considering a financial therapist, you probably live in an apartment and your most prized possession is an Xbox. I do not think you need a prenup in this case.

      • The Other Kevin

I’m trying to picture how one of those sessions would go. “Show me on this doll where Andrew Jackson touched you.”

      • Sensei

It’s the bride that’s nuts here so you need a female equivalent to the Xbox.

      • Fourscore

Financial therapist: “I found your problem”

Patient: “Quick. tell me what it is”

Therapist: “No, then you won’t pay me”

      • juris imprudent

Of course a young woman would have a therapist and not an adviser.

      • Sensei

It’s all about how it feels.

      • Ted S.

It’s always the bride that’s nuts.

Once again a new one for me.

OTH, elder abuse is real and quite sad.

Dave Ramsey is a financial therapist in my view

      • Sensei

That works. But I wouldn’t call it a professional relationship and certainly not a fiduciary one.

Also has he ever claimed to be what we normally think of as a “therapist” i.e. mental or physical therapist of some kind?

    Is that a bit of a nip-slip?

I can imagine her sense of relief. Nice when good things happen to good people because of good people.

Anyone else find it disturbing that social media basically soft bans language that was perfectly fine on even network TV our entire lives? That we have to be like children have words like sex and drugs changed, beeped etc.
