In action or inaction?
“in action” to hide it. “inaction” to stopping it.
Bitch, please!
Homeland Security found over 250,000 illegal aliens registered to vote in just four states
But do you have proof that any of them voted? What link can you provide between registering to vote and voting?
One illegal vote is one too many.
Clean up your act, every state.
How are you going to prove – beyond any reasonable doubt, and in court – when the system already lacks any sort of serious ability to audit, but then was also completely broken down to make it absolutely impossible to do any real auditing, during the 2020 election? I remind you that the people that claimed there was no fraud never, ever looked for it. They did some ritual recounts of the votes, and claimed all was well cause the numbers were still close enough. And then they took it a step further and turned the law and the cancelation apparatus on anyone that dared to question anything. And that later thing, is what tells me for sure they had something to hide, and what they hid was so bad it would deligitimize any future election without changes to deny the cheating.
The problem I have is that there are plenty of republicans that are compromised or are for the idea of letting the deep state pick who the stupid people can think they can elect to do the will of the deep state.
How are you going to prove
It’s easy to prove what Rat on a Train asked for. You don’t need a full blown audit. You look to see who voted. Even places like Pennsylvania keep track of who voted.
How are you gonna get that? We asked for just that after the obvious cheating in 2020, and what we got was a J6 racket followed by anyone asking for that being canceled, if they were lucky, or prosecuted by the law and bankrupted or locked up. The key here is that there is a while bunch of people that profit from the cheating that will not be convinced otherwise. are we going to then crush them no matter how bloody it has to get to fix this? And have no doubt it will take bloodshed to stop the cheating. The right treats power like a wine snob, but the left treats power like an alcoholic treats booze.
They went so much further than this. States like Georgia and Pennsylvania did have things in place, and their governments or courts just stuck their fingers in their ears and qent “la-la-la-la nothing to see here”.
Georgia had a required signature audit. The governor acknowledged as much and promised to undertake the audit. It never happened. (Any signature audit of mail ballots would likely toss a good 10% or more. Almost any election could be overturned with a rigorous enough signature audit)
Pennsylvania courts blocked pre-election challenges to illegal changes to the system for lack of standing, and then declared all post election challenges moot. It was blatant, in-your-face corruption.
How are you gonna get that?
I just told you.
But I should know better. Talking with the homeless guy screaming at a dumpster is more productive.
This isn’t a court of law. Proof is not required.
Swalwell pal Sen. Ruben Gallego had sexual relationships with two House staffers, sources reveal to The Post
“cow nuts”
Isn’t that what the staffers are for? Fucking the populace and getting fucked by the Congresscritters.
It’s normal. There is even a fund to pay off victims of Congressional sexual assault.
A fund to secretly pay off the “survivors” of Congressional staff.
Was one of those the video of the two dudes plowing each other in the house chamber? Or is this guy an evil cis plower?
LOL I am sure that State election officials in California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Nevada (Nevada?!) will get right on that. 🙄
State officials apologize for the numbers and promise more outreach to illegal voters.
“the use of GLP-1 weight loss drugs such as Ozempic has increased to 21% of U.S. households”
Wow.
Damn, fat people are worth big money.
Or they have some real good insurance or great crooked doctors that convinced the government to pay for it…
Government does not pay for GLP-1 meds.
Trump got Novo Nordisk to offer a reduced cash price for Wegovy to medicare patients. But the Feds don’t pay for it.
“Government does not pay for GLP-1 meds.”
Are you sure? Medicaid pays for any prescription, and Medicare patients can qualify for “free” drug plans depending on their circumstances.
Google AI
Medicare coverage for Wegovy depends on the reason it is prescribed.
Weight Loss: While standard Medicare does not cover drugs specifically for weight loss, a temporary program called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge allows eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries to access Wegovy for weight loss at a flat $50 per month.
Heart Disease: Standard Medicare Part D plans cover Wegovy if it is prescribed to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events (like heart attacks or strokes) in overweight or obese adults with established heart disease
I wasn’t aware of the heart disease approval. But FedGov doesn’t pay for you to lose weight.
“But FedGov doesn’t pay for you to lose weight.”
Given the health benefits of doing so, it wouldn’t be the worst thing the feds spend money on.
But I’d want a longer track record first – if those known-unknown long-term side effects materialize, we’d have the ambulance chasers lined up around the block if the feds are involved.
So the government does pay for GLP-1 meds.
I wonder if Tricare pays for it?
Dependabas would be lining up for that.
I have enjoyed watching people who were bitterly skeptical of Big Pharma after COVID turn on a dime and become big fans of its new profit center.
“History doesn’t repeat itself but it often rhymes,”
I remember Kamala saying she wouldn’t take a “Trump vaccine” during a debate and she wasn’t the only one.
Immediately after Biden “won”, they were all in one making it mandatory.
I absolutely knew Obamacare was going to be a disaster. It didn’t stop me from investing in healthcare companies. And I was right. The people that claimed it was a healthcare affordability act made healthcare entities even more profitable at the expense of the people that actually have to pay. My investments are now 500% of what I invested a decade and some years later…..
Democrats got to ruin healthcare and make more stupid people complain that healthcare was unaffordable even though these same people think the answer is MOAR government. Everyone else made bank. The people that pay got shafted. Welcome to government at work for the people.
One can be a skeptic without being a cynic. If the government were forcing GLP-1 agonists on people, under threat of losing their livelihood, that’d be one thing, but it’s nothing like that.
This is like viagra – an unintended side-effect resulting in huge demand. It’s genuinely making people’s lives better in many cases. It’s also being used as a “cheat” by other people. It will ever be thus with humans.
Will we see unintended side-effects down the road? Maybe. Will those outweigh the benefits of not being massively overweight? Perhaps, but those benefits are vast… (no puns intended).
I think slum probably has it about right.
The number of soi-disant skeptics I have seen swallowing whole the Big Pharma claims of all kinds of other benefits from these drugs, though . . . .
It’s kinda funny how the Body Positivity movement sorta puttered out on the national media level once a pill came out that allowed you to do away with that whole diet and exercise thing to actually lose weight.
Ten years from now I fully expect to read articles with people screaming and moaning from the rooftops about the long-term negative side effects of using said pills.
“Life Hacks” are for the lazy and stupid.
“It’s kinda funny how the Body Positivity movement sorta puttered out on the national media level once a pill came out that allowed you to do away with that whole diet and exercise thing to actually lose weight.”
Gonna disagree. I understood the whole positivity shit was about stopping people from shaming lazy fucks. The pill made it so even the lazy fucks could lose the weight without any serious sacrifice, and so the fucks that wanted to stop the shaming no longer needed to scare the rest into not shaming them. it is always about losers telling the winners they hate the winners.
The poster girl for this, Lizzo, lost a metric ton. That probably did as much as anything to shut them all up.
As Alex says, a big part of it was the combo of people who just dont ever have weight issues looking down on those who do as a moral failing with the social justice virtue signaling culture.
Now that people like Oprah and Lizzo can be skinny, the power behind the virtue signal is dead.
I didn’t go there at first Cyto, but I also believe these GLP drugs are kept hyper expensive – at least for a while – so the rich can be the first to lose the weight and they can still hold their disdain of the common plebes/rubes as deplorables…
The side effects are real, and like any intervention you have to weight them.
I think Kinnaths calculation on that is correct. Age, weight, tradeoff.
LOL bullshit
We all have to make ourselves healthy and slim for the upcoming apocalypse.
Touch your toes, Montag!
“We all have to make ourselves healthy and slim for the upcoming apocalypse.”
I thought this problem was already solved based on the model of people having to line up with their coupons to get whatever the state has available to guarantee their basic maximum of 1200 calorie a day diets?
I believe the higher protein but not the lower sugar.
There are WAY more no sugar products on the market now than 10 years ago.
Zero sugar sodas are essentially the same taste as full sugar now (diet still sucks though). Argue amongst yourselves if the artificial sweeteners are liquifying your insides.
Why do you insist on being wrong so much?
the “Zero” varieties suck because they taste like the awful full-sugar varieties. Diet has the better taste.
Well, at least you agree that zero does the better job of tasting like an actual soda, guy who barely salts his food.
I don’t know where that slander came from, but repeating it just reinforces your wrongness.
To be fair, carbonated beverages all suck.
Sorry UCS, apparently it is Ted who likes a small glass of water with his slice of white bread.
Wine, thank you very much.
Or coffee when I shouldn’t have alcohol (like during work hours).
Diet Mountain Dew is my preferred caffeine delivery system. I will not be shamed.
My dad alway joked that Mountain Dew is named after what it tastes like.
I believe the gravitation among the fatties.
Right?!
Wake me when seed oils account for less than a third of the average persons calories.
And they were all deported, right? Right?
“Drumpf promised to only go after violent criminals!”
…violent criminals marked for deportation…
“Antifa, start your engines!”
Deporting them is nigh impossible – by design – because team blue and the RINOS need this for their future plans.
And they will all be deported, right? Right?
Nothing says democracy like NDAs.
If a private organization (believe it or not, political parties are private organizations) wants to keep its finances confidential, I got no problem with that.
I’d like to keep my finances confidential but the government says “NO”. Every year it’s more protection money demanded.
In the legal sense, sure. In the much more important sense of the powers and privileges they wield, political parties are arms of the government.
I have no problem at all with political parties being required to publicly account for their finances*, and everything else they do. Although really I would just go the George Washington route and eliminate them altogether…
* – I’m sure I’d be horribly embarrassed when the LP posts their quarterlies, but I’d get over it.
Dark money!
Yes, LP would be embarrassed. It misappropriated about $700,000 from sale of its hq building and so far refused to return anything to those who contributed to buy the hq.
I want the parties to run their own primary elections.
The state should have no say as to how the party decides whine to put up for election in the general.
Fun fact: we actually went to year-round DST back in the ‘70s. Once they experienced it, people hated it so much that Congress actually repealed it after about 6 months.
Which baffles me. I wonder if that is a rewrite of history because I just can’t picture that.
If Congress actually repealed anything that “people hate so much” we’d be living in a very different country today.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/the-us-tried-permanent-daylight-saving-in-1974-and-people-hated-it/ar-AA27XIyQ
I wonder how much of the change in support was astroturfing, and media trying to agitate against a Nixon-era policy. So much of the current “support” for year-round standard time comes across as being Because Orange Man Bad.
I just don’t trust that article. The whole “start the day in darkness” argument is complete bullshit because it has ALWAYS been that way during the winter in the northern part of the country.
My commutes both ways were in the dark in the wintertime when I lived in Madison. That’s just a fact of life in that part of the world – the days are really short.
It’s not a fact of life further south, and when people got a look at trading light at the start of their day for light at the end of their day, they didn’t like it. I remember permanent DST in Texas in the 70s and yeah, it made a real difference – what made an impression wasn’t the later sunset in the wintertime, it was the later sunrise.
That’s just the most recent attempt, though. It was tried before, and never stuck.
So much of the current “support” for year-round standard time comes across as being Because Orange Man Bad.
Or you know, because there has been work done on which one is better (regardless of individual preference) and the hands down winner is permanent standard. Permanent DST is so bad it is arguably just as bad or worse than switching back and forth. See: Joseph Takahashi.
My individual preferences on this subject are the only thing that count. Fuck Standard Time.
No, my individual preferences are the only thing that counts. Fuck Arrested Development Time.
I know it will be hard for you, but as long as you’re living in my reality, you’ll have to get used to enjoying an extra hour of evening daylight…
Enjoy, damnit! *WHACK*
Glibs, Please – I do so hate it when the figments of my imagination start arguing.
We’re not arguing, we’re fighting!
Bipartisan comprise – 30 minutes, not the full hour.
30 minutes, not the full hour
What are we, India? No thanks.
Let’s really mess with everyone by going with something like 23 minutes.
Standard time sucks.
AND the time zones need to be moved, an additional time zone needs to be added in the North East.
Becoming Afghanistan Slum.
I know, the whole “Congress acted quickly to do something the public wanted” is just hard to process.
Nonetheless, permanent DST has been tried several times (notably during WWII) and has failed every time. So naturally that’s what Congress does to get rid of the clock switch – with two options in front of them, one a proven failure, they go for the proven failure.
Since we’re a half hour in, China is asshole:

Bookies hardest hit.
We should have taken the population of HK as refugees the second Britain threw them under the bus.
So is that Glibs Standard Time, or Glibs Savings TIme?
One time zone.
The DST lovers should like China.
whaddup doh’
Heya Banjos- how YOU doin’ ?
“The relationships are part of a broader “pattern of mistakes and missteps and judgment calls,” one source said, noting the imbalanced power dynamics of an elected official dating staffers. One of the women was in her 20s and much younger than Gallego at the time….
Sources said it’s believed both relationships occurred while Gallego was unmarried…
On April 23, Luna claimed on social media that “I have now heard of 4 women who have had multiple and uncomfortable/inappropriate advances/comments/touching, etc. from Senator Gallego.””
So big nothing burger.

Yeah. I agree. Umbrella poles aren’t fun to dodge.
That’s what she said…..
Officers get to do silly things with expensive equipment that an enlisted guy would get drummed out for.
(Fairly) Worthless Vocational Rehab got in touch asking how my first week is going. Shockingly well, in every respect. My dude in ‘Voca’ is cool, but he didn’t provide any leads in the several months I’d been seeing him, as we both shopped around for work.
The bits of Trump’s speech I saw last night were tired and focused on shit I didn’t think it should’ve. Added too much confusion to the mix. I’ll just continue on with my job and day, awaiting a rare and well-timed night game at Wrigley to end my week.
Onward and up, chaps!
“Skyrocketing child ER admissions for marijuana poisonings are the latest sign of how poorly then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Legislature’s leaders thought through pot legalization.
The state Department of Health just reported that cannabis-poisoning-related emergency-room visits have doubled, from roughly 1,200 in 2016 to nearly 2,400 in 2024.
And the rise in ER admits was over 1,600% for toddlers, as pot-poisoning (i.e., edibles and candies) incidents exceeded those involving Tylenol, aspirin and other painkillers combined.”

I fail to see how that is the government’s fault.
Maybe don’t leave your gummies / weed / razor blades / guns / drain cleaner / etc where your kids can get to them.
Crazy talk, I know.
What! Take personal responsibility?
Fuck. That. Shit.
I see you left the always delicious Tide Pods off your list.
I love that there are bunch of states where you can buy THC online but not nicotine.
Can you actually buy THC online? Or just the fake stuff?
Varies from state to state.
You certainly can in NM and AZ. They can’t/won’t ship it, but buy online and pick up at a drive through is pretty common in both those states.
What does a Bigger Fucking Hammer have to do with it?
“Video recovered from Vidrios’ phone showed the then 37-year-old having depraved sex with the man on a couch inside her office while “kids were inside the building” and “staff [could] be heard talking outside the door,” the report stated.”
https://nypost.com/2026/07/16/us-news/married-nashville-cop-filmed-herself-having-sex-with-lover-inside-middle-school/
What kind of depraved sex? You mean in the butt?
PiV, straight missionary. No eye contact.
“Oh no! Kids were in the same building where two people were fucking!”
Plenty of reasons why this dipshit should be canned, but could we please give the, “OMG tHInk oF Teh cHildREnZ!!1!” faggottry a rest?
I don’t think people should fuck at middle schools, but what do I know.
Nor do I. It’s unprofessional at the very least.
But I also don’t think that the poor children will be psychologically damaged by being in the same building that a couple dumbass cops got it on in. At least, no more psychologically damaged than they get from public school in general…
My kids have so far not walked in.
If its depraved to have sex with small children in the building, a lot of couples must be having depraved sex.
I gotta say, her husband is pretty cute. Dunno why he’s married to a slag like that…
She has good deepthroating skills?
Eager beats pretty.
Her forehead is so big I can iron a suit on it.
She does have the crazy eyes.
The crazy eyes plus enormous forehead seems to be a thing these days. It’s about as attractive as the septum ring/purple hair/bad tattoos trifecta…
OK I gotta look now.
Eyebrow crimes.
Female jarhead.
Nothing more need be said.
“A Clinton-appointed federal judge in Florida has died just days after he controversially released a Cuban plane hijacker who was awaiting deportation.

“Swalwell pal Sen. Ruben Gallego had sexual relationships with two House staffers, sources reveal to The Post”
I’ve mentioned it here before but in high school I hooked up with (sadly never banged) his future ex-wife that is now mayor of Phoenix.
A follow up rhetorical question: do these political wives have no self-respect? Everything other day it’s some indiscretion of deviancy from these clowns and they just dumbly stand by their men.
Who needs self-respect when you have power?
And money. Don’t forget the money.
You know they damn sure don’t.
This seems like a good time to link to my favorite t-shirt.
I prefer the original language used by Tony Montana while schooling Manolo… Especially on the third line.
That’s just fantastic, ES
What political wives are we talking about?
Huh. I read that article yesterday and that sentence was not in there, they must have added it.
If everyone involved is an adult, I do not care. And no one else should.
Agreed.
“Recently released court documents show that Children’s Hospital Colorado, affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, prescribed puberty blockers to more than 250 patients and cross-sex hormones to nearly 550 patients in a single year, 2025. ”

Burn it down.
Them kids need sterilizin’!
“A study published in May analyzed the data on Oregon children, ages 8 to 17, who paid for sex-change treatments with insurance, both Medicaid and private plans, using a database that includes about 80% of Oregonians with any kind of insurance.
The topline finding is terrifying: Between 2016 and 2023, more than 1 out of every 250 biological girls by age 17 took male hormones, while about 1 in 630 biological boys took female hormones by the same age.
All told, about 1 out of every 100 Oregon children covered by insurance was formally diagnosed with gender dysphoria — the belief that they’re born in the wrong body and facing distress — during that eight-year span.”
No idea how they got 1/100 from 1/250 and 1/630, but that there are more than twice as many females is insane.
Diagnosed =/= treated. I suspect that the people pushing this diagnosed a lot of kids whose parents said “Fuck that shit”.
Which is a silver lining. The appalling thing is how many parents didn’t.
Makes sense. Regardless, the male to female ratio is proof those diagnoses are horseshit.
I am in favor of leveling Multonoma county.
I daily pray for the cleansing wave of the Cascadia subduction zone. It would literally clean up the west coast in a biblical fashion.

The fact that they accidentally had part of the response at the end of the question is a smoking gun for how fake these are.

Headline: ‘My brother slept with my girlfriend – and then complained about it’
First line of the article: ‘My brother doesn’t like that my girlfriend is a part-time escort.’
That’s some first-class burying the leade.
Is the next line “We’re identical twins and she has trouble telling us apart”?
His girlfriend is also his sister?
A buddy started dating a stripper years ago. We made a point of going to the club she worked and paying for the show one night. Then we all went back and told him “I paid your girlfriend to show me her pussy and she did!” He broke up with her shortly after that. I like to think we saved him from a probable future stabbing.
Dr Otto
A. I never in a million years would have done that.
B. You indeed most likely saved him a lot of misery.
Relevant (and hilarious)
Probably mis-remembered from an old Modern Drunkard short:
“Dating a high-class hooker is romantic, Pop. Any detective would do it. But dating a porn star? That’s something a stand-up comic would do.”
“My brother doesn’t like that my girlfriend is a part-time escort. I find this hypocritical of him as he once paid for her services and only found out the truth about her career when he came face-to-face with her in a hotel bedroom. He still went ahead with the sex…”
So he booked her without knowing what she looks like?
Saw The Odyssey last night. It was really good.
Are you fucking with us or serious?
Do tell! Was there anything worthy of all the kerfuffle? Was it the modern Lord of The Rings?
Did you have a stroke?
The 3rd nun wouldn’t touch it.
…maybe when Elliot Page appeared on screen?
It’s really good. Pacing is fantastic for a 3 hour film. You move back and forth through time in an effortless manner. The “woke” casting is irrelevant because you become so consumed by the story. I mean, it’s fiction and there’s a giant cyclops with a vertical eye who lives in a cave and keeps sheep, so does ‘reality’ really matter? Matt Damon’s not even Greek.
The use of modern English actually works well because it gives the performances a more natural feeling and doesn’t slow down the storytelling with ornamentation.
Nolan’s use of more practical effects is essential to the visceral feeling of the fighting scenes and the overall adventure. The music and sound design are top-notch. Goranson will win his 2nd Oscar most likely.
Performances are all good with Robert Pattinson as the stand out.
I have a few quibbles but nothing major. It’s going to win a lot of awards.
Elliot Page is well-cast once you understand the character. (Not Achilles)
I’m also over the whole Ellen/Elliot thing. He’s an adult who made a choice. Don’t touch the kids but once you’re a grown up cut off/add whatever body parts you want.
She can change her name, but will always still be a woman.
I agree on the Elliot Page observation. It wouldnt be a deal if they didnt do the “super brave and strong” routine and didnt make her character trans when she transitioned to he, killing a show that I tried to watch and wasnt as good as it seemed like it should have been but then truly sucked once it became all about gender identity for no reason other than one of the actors transitioning.
Nolan’s use of more practical effects is essential to the visceral feeling of the fighting scenes and the overall adventure.
Interesting.
I have seen a lot of talk about practical effects and how important it is to the immersion of a movie lately – even if it doesnt look as cool as the CGI volume lighting stage stuff they can do now.
It is like they forgot how to do real cinematography and lighting once they got infinite control with the computer.
Honestly, I just don’t like Christopher Nolan.
He’s an amazing director and choreographer, but sometime around about Batman Begins he seemed to forget how to tell a compelling story. All his movies since that time, have come across to me as a collection of loosely connected vignettes, as opposed to a continuous narrative.
I’ve been hearing good things about it. I hope it’s good. I’d like to see a good movie in a theater, but sorry, going to see 3 hour run times in a theater is not gonna happen. I dunno why Important Movies these days have to be so fucking long.
She’s an adult who made a choice. Your sex isn’t a costume you can change; it’s inherent in your being.
I don’t care about Page, but I cannot stand Matt Damon. He plays essentially the same guy in everything he is in, with the exception of the Liberace movie, were he is just gay.
Nolan as a director is hit or miss. I refuse to watch any superhero crap, Memento was good, but a lot of other stuff is too overwrought, and relies on CGI too much.
You guys think FLOCK is an invasion of privacy? Welcome to DRN. They collect your data nationwide and sell it publicly. Insurance companies are big customers.
https://drndata.com/insurance/
They get data from cameras on truck fleets like repo trucks. And security camera networks. Parking lots and toll cameras.
And it crosslinks with Vigilant Solutions, a law enforcement camera network.
This massive network allows the database to grow by roughly 80 to 220 million brand-new geotagged plate scans every single month.
The Repo truck thing is actually kid of cool. They sell AI cameras to car repossession companies and it mounts to their trucks. They drive around and it automatically scans for license plates of cars that they are contracted to tow. It will alert the driver and they get their bounty.
At the same time, they upload massive amounts of data to the network.
They use them on scout cars around here, not the actual tow truck. You’ll see a Corolla with LPRs on it go through an apartment parking lot, with the tow truck waiting outside. When they find one, the tow truck scoops and grabs it in under a minute and is gone before the Altima owner even has a chance to come running out. I’ve seen it play out and it is impressive.
I found this because a relative got rear-ended at a stoplight. The other guy’s insurance is refusing to pay because they say there was pre-existing damage to the bumper. (There was, and he said so on the claim. But that hardly changes the fact that it was further smashed)
Well, Maine Democrats got rid of the Oystergruppenfuhrer Senate candidate, and one of the people vying to be his replacement is apparently Meat Loaf in a dress.
The internet has, of course, taken notice.
Meat Loaf the dish or the rocker?
Check the photo. Kinda yes on both
Let me sleep on it, I’ll give you an answer in the morning…

“Among them was Ashley Webb, a transgender songwriter who believes in defunding ICE, ending the war in Iran, reforming healthcare, and wants to use the women’s bathroom. Webb looked uncomfortable on stage behind the dais, rocking back and forth when asked questions about his candidacy….
“And then with the trans community. We’re being dehumanized. They say we want to hurt people; I don’t want to hurt anybody. I just don’t want to use the bathroom. And if they want me to use the men’s room, I will, I just don’t want to be assaulted.”

Like a fat out of hell.
Did anybody actually listen to that rambling nincompoop last night?
no idea who you talking bout but not me
No. And not because the media proudly saved us all from misinformation. I rarely watch his speeches.
Honestly, Obama killed the illusion for me. During his first state of the union he said “times are tough, se we all need to tighten our belts” but at the same time “we must invest in the future”… so proposed massive new spending while we tighten our belts.
And nobody said a word.
It was such a farce watching everyone pretend that his vapid rhetoric was soaring oratory that the whole “willing suspension of disbelief” thing broke for me.
I had already lost trust in the press. So after that, what was the point?
On that topic – every news outlet, pundit and politician told me repeatedly in the lead up over the last couple of days that he was going to make unsubstantiated claims with zero evidence. This was a known fact.
Doing this just proves that they truly believe that there is something that needs hiding, even if they dont know what it is.
So the whole thing is a farce that simple demonstrates that Orwell and his cohort had no idea how bad it could get.
I have kept alive my multi decade streak of ignoring presidential adresses.

Good news!
The wind, if you can call it that, has shifted to the south and blown the Canadian debris back where it came from. Very slight haze but no smell or smoke.
Happy days are here again!
Clear skies again here in southern NH. It’s nice.
Looks like it’s still hitting hard across MI, OH, and PA but it’s now south of me today.
No such luck in Duloot. The smoke is even worse than yesterday.
Dang. The family traveled up there this week and I couldnt go due to an upper respiratory infection (fuck cancer). I was dithering and questioning my decision until that smoke moved in. They report that it is bad even in the car. Going outside is not really optional. I surely would have dropped dead. Which might not bother anyone, but would be out-of-network and would absolutely bankrupt us.
Noticeably smokey down here in NoVA…
It’s a little better in Indiana, not as smoky as yesterday but still smells like burning rubber.
Lots of lightning all around us last night.
It’s smoky here in my neck of the woods.

I love that part of Oregon.
Having grown up in a log house I have some issues with the build and build quality of the main lodge, it’s not finished and it’s new which are both interesting. And those light fixtures all need to go. You can make a log home look light and French provincial with a few minor color and fixture changes.
Oregon’s most expensive property for sale.
Unless it’s the island in the middle of Crater Lake I’m not interested.
That’s so Wizard.
“My husband seemed the perfect family man. But for years he was drugging me, raping me and filming it. My body gave me warning signs, but I could never have suspected such depravity was the cause…
‘It was so matter of fact,’ she recalls. ‘He said he needed to let me know he’d had an affair with my friend while I was pregnant with our second child. “And I’ve been sedating you to have sex with you.” Those were his exact words. He didn’t use the word drugs, or rape. I was dumbfounded.’
….
‘Some people said how sorry they were, but I also had people shouting at me in the street for keeping Ben away from the kids, others saying to me, “Well, he is your husband Zoe,” as if it meant it couldn’t be rape.
‘One woman said, “If you were sleeping, what’s the big deal?” There was a prevailing sense that if I hadn’t been dragged down an alley by a stranger, then it wasn’t a crime.’
…
While Ben told Zoe he had been filming his abuse during his confession to her she has never seen the photos or videos – nor does she want to.”

This sounds like bullshit. My wild guess is that they shared a fetish, then she got mad after he cheated.
Sounds pretty fake from the headline. They want bucks to read past that… so if it doesnt conclude with “prosecutors are using the video at trial” i will stick with made up BS.
Looking at her picture, I’m surprised he wasn’t drugging himself
SHE PUTS ON THE LOTION OR SHE GETS THE HOSE!
Brain fog and headaches? While being sexukshualy used during drugged video sessions? No ass, vagina, or mouth aches? Come on….
And where are these videos? Did Ben keep them as family heirlooms or did he make cash from them?
Haha… I didnt think of that. Could be they ran an OnlyFans fetish page and this is her cover story….
The ‘no bruises or soreness’ kinda raises a flag with me. I’ve been bruised and/or sore many times from sex that was 100% sober, consensual, and fondly remembered.
But the recurring UTIs and yeast infections could indicate some less-than-sanitary sexual practices that most women ain’t gonna be into.
And supposedly the hubby is four years into an 11-year stay in His Majesty’s Prisons…I dunno. It’s either true, or else it’s complete fiction…
There was a woman in France who had this happen to her. Her husband was drugging her and basicially pimping her out in that condition.

Sounds familiar
Andy Burnham was officially declared leader of Britain’s governing Labour Party on Friday, promising to bring hope to the British people and purpose to the floundering government as he cleared his final hurdle to take office as prime minister next week.
——-
“I have a plan,” he added, in a bid to reassure a party that has seen its popularity nosedive since winning a landslide election victory two years ago.
He and his moderate center left party will resuscitate British pride.
I think the (unstated) plan of bringing in more “migrants” from the middle east will likely fail at raising their popularity…. until it succeeds wildly as the party tilts toward their new Islamic majority.
The plan involves all the Brits squeeling like a pig after they take of them panties…
Might have found video evidence…
“The best laid plans of mice and men…”
I’ll wait
By harassing and maybe even prosecuting anyone demonstrating such pride, I presume.
Honestly, Obama killed the illusion for me.
I think the last Presidential address I listened to on purpose was Nixon’s resignation.
I think the last one I listened to was Bush’s immediate post-9/11 speech.

Nice. I love stone houses. The stone on that one looks like the limestone that my old one-room schoolhouse home was built from when I lived outside Madison.
You want judicial activism?
In Israel, the Likud party tried to change the way it selects the party list for the elections, which ought to be an internal party matter.
An organization associated with… the largest national labor union sued, and got a district judge to issue an injunction.
https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/israel-news/2575499/drama-in-the-likud-court-halts-changes-to-primaries-minutes-before-vote.html
That type of BS was why Bibi was trying to change the Israeli judiciary to be more like the US, where the other two branches are involved with selecting the members of the third branch.
Looking at her picture, I’m surprised he wasn’t drugging himself
Fourscore, from the top rope with a steel folding chair.
“According to police, the suspect, a 29-year-old German national with a Turkish background, refused to sit next to a woman, citing Sharia law – the religious and moral code of Islam.
When an aircraft employee tried to speak to the man, he then slapped the air stewardess in the face, it is claimed.”

If you are in the air, the solution is easy…
inorite? Was visualizing exactly that.
Serve him cold Chile?
Opening those doors in-flight is actually extremely difficult, and would inconvenience the other passengers. Same with an air marshal shooting him in the face, which would have made me laugh my ass off.
I think the most reasonable solution would be to crack him on the head with a sap, flex-cuff his wrists and ankles (helpful hint – all major airline flight attendants carry flex-cuffs since around 2004), duct tape his mouth closed, and dump him in the cargo hold. If he survives the rest of the flight, he can be prosecuted when they land.
I don’t think there’s a connection between the passenger compartment and the cargo hold.
It’s often said that the 2nd or 3rd generation of cultural enrichers are worse than their ancestors.
He could be a naturalized immigrant.
Yeah, that description sets off my BS meter. He could be a native born Turk who the Germans were stupid enough to give citizenship to.
Whatever he is, he’s not German.
I would guess if he looked German there would be a picture.
Sometimes the lack of a picture is pretty telling.
Men of No Appearance.

Yeah we knew that.

Yeah we knew that.

Yeah we knew that.
He said he would have the “courage to fix the big things that politics has neglected,” such as tackling the patchy access to social care for those who need it because of age, illness or disability. It’s a pressing issue in a country with an aging population, and one that has foxed previous Labour and Conservative governments.
He highlighted plans to focus on economic renewal, more public control of key sectors and creating new modern industrial jobs, arguing that Britain took “a series of wrong turns in the 1980s” when “political power was centralized and economic power privatized.”
That’s the decade when Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher oversaw policies of privatization, deindustrialization and political centralization that transformed the U.K. economy.
Back to those glorious days of the ’60s and ’70s. It’ll work this time, for sure.
Holy shit. What an idiot.
I wonder if the voters even have it in them anymore to punish that stupid party. They tried a series of fake conservatives and now fascism/communism. Back to the drawing board.
Maybe they’ll have to bring back WWII era rationing.
I’m just going to put this here.
“A top Missouri prosecutor has been suspended over allegations she carried out affairs with three men including an illegal immigrant accused of sexual assault.
Ray County Prosecutor Camille Johnston, 46, was hit with a ‘writ of quo warranto’ this week by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office alleging she abused her office to have inappropriate relationships.”

Writ of quo warranto sounds like some shit from Harry Potter.
Without evidence
Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday convened leaders from more than 60 countries to take part in the Trump administration’s latest effort to quell what it calls “left wing” political terrorism, a marquee issue for Republicans heading into the midterm elections.
This focus comes even as studies show that there are very few reported cases of such incidents in the U.S., especially compared to historically higher levels of far-right violence.
With sweeping statements about the “alarming rise” of political violence by the left, Rubio and other U.S. officials painted a dark image of the future if the “communists and Marxists” perpetrating these supposed acts are not defeated. He urged officials in attendance — mostly from European and Latin American countries — to unite to address the issue, which he says has been a “blind spot” in counterterrorism doctrine.
It’s all in your head, Marco. You and Mad King Donald are seeing threats where none exist. Why do you hate patriotic Americans who love their country?
The entire Summer of Floyd was leftwing terrorism.
Every antifa riot and assault is leftwing terrorism.
Every recent political shooting is either a total nutter, an Islamonutter, or a lefty, as far as I can recall.
Actual right wing terrorism is surprisingly rare.
They just flat-out lie to their readers and they swallow it up. It’s pretty impressive, really.
lol The DNC organ has “studies” “proving” their position.
I’m sold.
I’m not buying what they consider left or right, or what they consider terrorism. They could count Islamic terrorism or anything “racist” is on the right.
The Patriot Front is right-wing, not state-sponsored.
Thank you all last night. I don’t get to check in as much as I’d like. I will avail myself of any benefits I qualify for.
The “gradually then suddenly” cliché.
I ain’t doing this anymore.
