Try as he might, Father Time has caught up within in a hurry. Scottie ran through the field in Atlanta over the weekend to win the Tour Championship, FedEx Cup, and all but assuredly player of the year (for the fifth straight time). The Astros won last night to get back above .500 again. Let’s see if they can manage to keep it together long enough to win the worst division in baseball. Across the pond, Liverpool are not very good. But at least they’re not Spurs. And that’s pretty much it for sports.

When I test drove a Volvo years ago, I thought it had probably the best car seats I had ever parked my butt in, though.
The seats in Volvos have always been class leading. It’s part of the brand identity.
Of all the stuff I’ve owned the best seats were in out 2024 Ford Raptor. Both my 5’6” wife and me at 6’5” liked them.
Worst seats have been in my 93 W350 Dodge, hard ass bench, 1993 Suzuki Sidekick, and the third row in out 2016 Yukon, hard as a rock and with a near vertical back that is not adjustable. Front seats in that thing are hard and shallow, both modern GMs I have don’t adjust the seat base up in the front enough and are short front to rear.
My baseline decent seat is 1960-1987 Chevy pickup bench, soft enough for long drives, deep enough for my femur, good rear angle for a fixed seat.

How about each employee gets off two religious holidays of their choosing? (Atheists get two days too). Don’t want to work on Christmas Day – fine. If you are (((not Christian))) and would rather have off Yom Kippur, then come to work on Christmas day or don’t get paid. Muslim, Buddist, Flying Spag. Monster, Hindu, etc. pick your two days off and show up to work for all the others’ days off. All government offices will be open, even if short staffed, on “religious holidays.”
