Almost at the end of the run, only to begin again at the beginning like the Mayan Calendar in 2012.

You sure this is a rerun?

    • Rat on a train

      It’s in regular syndication …

  2. Evan from Evansville

The Hair is far too sentient, and this rerun seems a rerun but the whole fucking Iran mess is a rerun after boring rerun of another rerun after the QUITE exciting rerun when Israel killed all those dudes who got together to vote on who’d be next after the original show, when Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.

I’d prefer we hadn’t done jack shit over there. If it were inevitable, in some magical way, if only those two ‘seasons’ aired, and we had walked away immediately, I can see the extreme upper view, long-term idea behind it. ‘Get rid of leaders, have Persians remake it, now free to do it their own way.’ < — Now, none of that makes sense, given how many times it's been tried in that area.

But kill the leaders, let locals figure it out, I at least get it. I see no purpose to whatever fucking back 'n forth bullshit is going on over there, week after week, to… do nothing. Huh. We coulda been doing that from the start if they'd listened to me. No New Wars was the one thing Trump had that could be used to rub the Dems' nose into, and he squandered it for something I really really don't see the point of.

    • Fourscore

      Needs more tariffs!

      And subsidies!

      And threats!

      • Evan from Evansville

Hey! I’m subsidizing my tariff on ALL of these threats, to YOU!

(AND! You’re the one subsidizing it. It’s great for me.)

    • Evan from Evansville

No one wants to be “the boring” president, I guess? Even when boring = fantastic? If they did, they likely wouldn’t have the personalities being president kinda likely, probably, requires?

      • Fourscore

        Calvin Coolidge says hello.

      • Brochettaward

Boring presidents who just see good times barely get ranked and a single recession gets you raked over the coals as one of the worst ever. You can inherit a recession and worsen it all through your policies, but claim the right intentions and get into a war you contrived and you’ll get ranked as a Top Man in history.

Trump 1.0 got hit with Covid and it warped fucking everything.

I don’t know how you sell anyone on another Republican regime if they’ve experienced Bush the Lesser and now MAGA hypocrisy. I mean, the only real argument is hey at least they aren’t commies.

    • Brochettaward

It’s all rather ironic. You see, Israel got Trump to attack the first time. Iran showed remarkable restraint because the attack was aimed on military installations and didn’t directly threaten their rule at home. But it allowed Israel to stay in Trump’s ear and convince him a sequel could be even better and easier – like Venezuela again!

So this time they went for regime change and targeting the elite ruling class and that put them in a corner where it was fight or die.

I keep hearing that Iran is filled with whacky crazies running the place, but frankly they’re a lot more rational than our ruling class. Not anymore moral or anything, but I can understand a ruler who just wants to maintain their authority. The shit American presidents engage in while pretending to the instruments of god’s wrath is kind of more tiresome and dangerous.

State Sen. Bottcher and Assemblymember Simone LOOK like they represent Manhattan’s LGBT- friendly West Side.

“Veteran LGBT activist Allen Roskoff, who lost loved ones to AIDS, said the ban on bathhouses was a divisive issue in the gay community in the 1980s, with many gays for and against the shutdown.” There are good people on both sides?

“He said political leaders campaigned in the establishments and entertainers including Bette Midler and Barry Manilow performed there.” <– Speaking of stereotypes…

I assume you pay admission to the bathhouse? (Possibly a … commission fee, as well.) The Korean, etc Love Motel system seems to work. Get a cheap room, TV, bathroom, bed. Fuck. Leave! (You pay for the night, but I s'pose you do you. Good cheap hotel.) There are good ones and cheap, dingy ones, like everything else. Even the cheap ones, they'd change the towels, bed sheets, at least some casual cleaning.

I've never had a happy ending even when paying for one. Such a strange practice, all of it. But still! I'd like a hetero version of place where people just go, pretty much signing a doc saying they're DTF, and some system of folk picking folk. Those were called "bars," I suppose, or Qatari 'bachelor parties,' if you're a groomsman, maybe.

      • Fourscore

        “Those were called “bars,”

“You buy me Saigon tea, GI” as a form of introduction, though in Rota it was champagne.

I learned very quickly my first trip overseas, Germany, as a Onescore. Never happened again.

Even if you weren’t buying the overpriced apple juice a person could still have fun. OTOH a person could run up a helluva tab in a hurry. Don’t start out drunk, to try to save money.

        Same every where, I guess.

      • Brochettaward

I didn’t get to fuck Vietnamese whores, do cocaine, smoke weed/drink, or frag an officer in my time and I’m incredibly bitter about all of that. All this talk about professionalism makes leadership lose sight of what actually matters in a soldier’s life on the fringes of the empire.

      • Fourscore

        Sounds boring, Bro

“We do more before 9 AM than most people do all day” is what I was hearing about 20 years ago. Was that not true?

An integrated military, gender wise, young EM living off post should have included those bennies.

      • Evan from Evansville

Me no know, Four-shi-san. You — very potent. Me — very small. You? Extra.

(Save money? That’s why you *show up* drunk.)

      • Brochettaward

Like seriously highlight of my deployment as far as interaction with locals goes was drinking chai that was probably made with shit water and stopping to get a surprisingly good chicken wrap at some local restaurant where everyone looked like they wanted to murder us.

Chicken was actually really damn good. They must have locally sourced that shit and it was just killed yesterday.

Did pull a pistil on one of my terps because he wouldn’t get the fuck out of my seat in the back of the MRAP.

      • Threedoor

        2004-10 army sucked ass.

        Boring.

    • J. Frank Parnell

And I assume the law will still continue to punish heterosexual “happy ending” establishments.

Only the ones that don’t hire trannies.

      • Evan from Evansville

Is a tranny happy-ending one where they *do* go full op? Or when they don’t do the snippy-snippy?

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

It is the one were you DON’T find out, and they don’t get beaten.

  3. Brochettaward

Wath the video. What’s the first thing you notice about the description of the suspect from the narrator and then the dispatcher? It’s a few seconds in you lazy fucks. You can watch that much.

Red shirt, red hat. No race mentioned. Can’t say he’s black until after he shoots someone.

    • Evan from Evansville

Red shirt stood out the most, frankly. Everyone in that neighborhood was black.

      • UnCivilServant

Growing up in a majority black neighborhood, I would not have done well as a criminal.

        “Suspect is a while male…”

        “We got him, boys.”

      • Evan from Evansville

        “Suspect is hat-less! I repeat: HAT-LESS!”

    • UnCivilServant

So, following the Aloha Spirit Precedent, they have issued a nationwide injuction against any bans of these items, right? Right?

What do you mean they followed the law?

  4. ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

So, tomorrow I go in for my second round of infusions, no, not for the Big C, just a replacement for my 3x weekly injections. I am pretty happy with this, as I was getting hardcore injection fatigue. But it sure ain’t free. Insurance knocked it down from 3K to 3 hunny, but as it is only twice a year, no big deal.

Does wear me out for a day or so afterword though.

    • rhywun

      👍

      3x weekly injections

      Gah!

I’m down to monthly stomach jabs. None of the jabs, frequent pills, or quarterly infusions have any side effects whatsoever.

    • Evan from Evansville

Certainly beats 3x/wk. Damn. And ya def win with $300/6mo. Hopefully, you’ve got the rest of tomorrow, and maybe Fri –> wknd, kinda sorted to recover from it. That’d be nice. *crosses fingers*

  5. Evan from Evansville

As for the NY police chief being the coach and ghetto-way driver for her son to hit a rival gang member/ leader? (And making $130k/yr), well, here’s another ‘fun’ conflict of interest in the Bayou:

Judge overseeing a gang rape cases of slain LSU student has a son — who’s a convicted serial rapist!
“The judge’s bias and impartiality has come under fire as she represented her son, Nelson Taylor, 46, in his 1997 serial rape conviction” — So ya represent yourself and ya have a fool for a client, yeah? But what if I can get Mom to do it? She’d lie on the stand to prevent a conviction, sure, many moms would… but she’s gonna go up there and do it *professionally?* Uh. That seems like light lighting a flare for your own disbarment, but IANAL. (I’m also not into anal, but you do you.)

    • Brochettaward

Brutal honesty time – if my own daughter was dumb enough to get sloppy drunk around those three losers and end up in the back of a car with them seemingly willingly at least at first I’d feel like I failed as a father. Miserably so. Any three guys would probably do, though.

  6. rhywun

It has been a flurry of booking a mover, bus trips and hotel rooms this evening.

Planning a move is both exciting and exhausting. I can’t wait for it to be over.

Now I just have to finish packing. 😫

And plan a bunch of utility stuff and hit city hall for no parking signs and and and ugh

    • Chafed

      Where is your new place?

      • rhywun

        Jersey City, NJ wheeee

    • Evan from Evansville

Utilities ‘should’ be simple, I hope. Make City Hall and kinda fun, subversive affair. I’d say go as Travis Bickle but ya might not stand out, these days. Go as a black LDS door-knocker. But silly me, just keep plain. Go as Steve from down the hall.

It’s a fun adventure, packing your habitat and moving your life. (You’ve also aced the most stressful part of all that shit: Don’t have kids.) The first night in a new place is “technically” the first, but we know that’s just exhaustion-sleep and doesn’t count. Doesn’t feel like home til it’s a bit more settled. So *lights Bro flare* it’s really a matter of when the place first ‘feels’ like yours. Doesn’t settle the matter, but your first ‘your place’ shit in it’s not a bad start. Like, ‘door open’ shit. Yeeee. Smell dat funk. Pretty proper statement of ownership, if I say so, myself.
(Do it before Sandi or I get there. Well, I guess I can’t really shit in rhy’s place before it’s rhy’s place.)

  7. Brochettaward

When I get my new laptop, I’m going to be Firsting at speeds you never could have imagined. You’ll be spontaneously jizzing yourselves before you even read what I’ve Firsted and won’t even be able to register what happened it’s all coming so fast.

All coming tomorrow, barring some sort of Amazon fuck-up (was rather hesitant to buy anything like this off Amazon, even when it says sold by Amazon.com). Everywhere else was completely out of stock of what I wanted.

    • Brochettaward

Also, fairly certain I had a run in with the little shits who threw rocks. At least one drove by walking dog again in a car and yelled out some dumb shit.

I’d like to think that I put enough fear into them that they won’t be riding their bikes around anymore. We’ll see. If it comes to it I’ll give them the beat down their step-dads wish they could.

    • rhywun

“Guardian sports coverage” sounds like a particularly effective form of torture.

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, Sean, Ted’S., Roat, and Bro!

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Considering she can do what she’s doing in the vid it seems to almost be a humiliation ritual. I’d say she needs a good shrink but all of that is bullshit too.

  8. Brochettaward

I compared Marx to Hitler on Reddit after someone said Marx wasn’t a villain because he wanted to create a better world.

Shit is popping off. Like it’s 6 AM and they are coming out of the woodwork to throw feces at me. I’m weird about sleep. I feel pretty confident these people just don’t work.

    • Brochettaward

I was contacted by RedditCareResources because a concerned Redditor reached out about my mental health.

      • Ted S.

To be fair, your delusions of firsting mark you as mentally unstable.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Frequenting Reddit is a red flag for mental instability, espsecially if other Redditors think you’re normal.

      • Rat on a train

Reddit is not good for your mental health.

    • Rat on a train

Both wanted to create a better world according to their vision.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

The biggest monsters generally think they’re doing good.

      • Rat on a train

Lewis’s moral busybodies are the worst.

    • rhywun

Ugh… hanging around a nest of Redditor communists is even worse torture than reading The Guardian.

    • Gdragon

“Like it’s 6 AM and they are coming out of the woodwork to throw feces at me. ”
      ———–

Yeah but it’s always 4:20 somewhere.

Yes in every hardcore stoner’s living room.

      • Gdragon

“Yes in every hardcore stoner’s living room.”
        —–

Yeah, it is almost as if I was joking that those people losing their shit on reddit sound like they are/might be high as fuck 😉

    • Rat on a train

I’m looking forward to Tuesday. It’s been a long time since I last had the house to myself during the day.

      • UnCivilServant

Make the most of it, even if that means doing nothing at all.

  10. slumbrew

    Morning, glibbies.

Off to the airport and then to NC for some quality time with my brothers and cousin.

    Hold down the fort

      • slumbrew

RDU, then driving to the shore, so I don’t think I’ll be that close to them.

Now, when I went to Asheville in April…

      • UnCivilServant

Yeah, in April you were right down the road from them.

    • Rat on a train

Is it one of those inflatable forts that could blow away in the wind?

      • UnCivilServant

It’s a flying castle, he doesn’t want it to get away.

      • (((Jarflax

        Howl at it

      • R.J.

“Slumbrew’s Flying Castle” does sound like a good movie to post on Thursdays.
