The funnest part of living in the Gulch is the overheard conversations. This past week, we had a meeting of the Business Association to discuss PR to get people to come here and spend money. Satisfyingly capitalist. When the meeting was over, one of the shop owners here (a standard-issue radical leftist, but I love her anyway) said, “I need a drink. Let’s go to your café and grab some wine.” Fine idea. The café had just closed but invoking owner’s privilege, I got a bottle from behind the bar and poured us some glasses. One of our employees was just finishing her closing duties and decided to join us- cool, she’s one of the older ones, also a standard-issue radical leftist, but I love her as well. Wine all around. The two of them started chatting and, inevitably, within three minutes, they started whining about Trump, who lives rent-free in their brains.
“Lake America, holy shit, can you believe that orange turd?”
“Yeah, Google changed the name on their maps, too, so I immediately removed Google from all my devices.”
“Me too.”
I piped up, “Troll Level Three complete.”
They both looked startled and one of them admitted, “Yeah stuff like that is just his way of distraction from actually important issues…”
Wow, I thought, they may actually be getting it.
“…like the Epstein files and Orange Turd’s involvement in child trafficking.”
Sigh.
In the meantime, let’s mention some birthdays, like the guy who invented the cow; another prolific author whose books badly needed editing; an old school redistributionist; a guy who might be the most responsible for how shitty TV is; a guy who was last in his class until he met Adolph Zukor; a great fraud and apologist for evil; a guy whose death was commemorated with 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence; a guy who woke up to Suzanne Pleshette; a slightly more refined version of L. Ron Hubbard; a guy who is most generously thought of as a child abuser; a woman who… I’ll be in my bunk; a guy who impregnated several of my teenage fantasies; a guy whose last words were, reputedly, “Mama mia, let me go!“; a guy who is often interesting and rarely correct; and a chick famous for being nuts.
Speaking of nuts, here’s Links.
Another master troll. He learned well.
Coming here next. I mean, we can’t just have anyone try to do science, can we?
The knives are out. And we can have a pretty good guess who’s behind the campaign.
And of course, this sort of smear looks extremely familiar.
My question is why you would even go in there.
It would have been easier just to claim he was identifying as a girl.
Yes, the Old Guy was at this show. Front row. The Arkestra was at least 50 years ahead of its time.

“The Mercator map, which has been in common use since the 16th Century, has come in for criticism as it shows Africa as being of similar in size to Greenland, even though it is actually 14 times larger.”
To be fair, it’s cold in Greenland.
The Mercator projection is useful for navigation. You draw a line between two points on it and that angle is the heading that you would need on the globe.
The fact that the least advanced continent appears relatively smaller because of its equatorial position is immaterial.
Something map something something territory.
Every time I think the world has reached peak retard, the UN raises its hand and says “hold my beer”.

Correcting it with a map that is just as distorted, but differently. Sorry flerfers, you are just going to have to deal with distortion on the map because the original is balled up.
They could just get a globe, but no… they have to wreck things.
Cartographical
Affirmative ActionDEI?Wrecking things is the point. They want to destructively signal that they are good people and you must follow their diktats because they are good else you are evil racists.
Overheard conversation: one of my coworkers i bulgarian, but otherwise nice guy.

I think I would blow my brains out in that environment.
I’d stage a botulism outbreak.
Sorry, that was tainted garlic. I abstained but the dinner guests are dead.
Ok, but doing this summons either an effete Belgian or a little old lady.
Death in a college town cafe is clearly a little old lady investigates scenario.
It depends on whether the cafe can make a tisane or not.
+ arsenic and old lace
Tres, I didn’t read that one, only the summary. (Looking it up I now see that it was a play, which explains why I never read it.)
I believe the play was made into a movie.
The roles would be reversed from your scenario since the old ladies were the killers. Not Angela Lansbury investigating. Or Patricia Rutledge in whatever BBC crime show she was in.
“Hetty Wainthrope Investigates”
I’m familiar with the plot – I just haven’t seen any adaptations.
The little old lady I was thinking of was Miss Marple, as Jar had primed the “Agatha Christie” thought with his reference to a belgian.
Rose McGowan wasn’t even the most nuts person on Charmed.
They all made my nuts tingle.
Because you support the extermination of Jews, would be my guess.
Statistically, the least likely place for a suicide bombing too I would think.
I should have been clearer- why would a Jew or anyone sane go in there.
Are those distinct categories? Or are Jews presumptively sane and you are welcoming whatever portion of the goyim join us in that? Never mind, I have seen (((our))) voting history, definitely distinct categories.
Best line in the video “It’s against my ethos, but I’m calling the cops.”
Coming here next. – that will restore faith in Science
science is a process, not an act of faith. You are supposed to question it.
HEATHEN
“Coming here next” presumably also applies to the scientists themselves. We should brain drain SA.
That is hilarious. Obviously, everyone was part of the show.
The preening concern-trolling from the local officials is delicious.
“Supporters of accused killer mom Lindsay Clancy interrupted the district attorney’s post-trial press conference Friday — slamming the prosecutor as “corrupt” and shouting, “shame!”
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz was speaking to reporters about “getting justice” for Clancy’s “three little babies” after a mistrial was declared Friday, when a throng of Clancy supporters dressed in pink cut in.
“You only cared when the kids were dead! Why don’t you care about the mother?” one could be heard yelling.”

That murderess got an absurd amount of help.
She should have been in an asylum six months ago.
*six months prior to the murders. Sorry forgot about the pace of judicial process.
The amount of help she got was likely part of the problem.
Being coddled all your life doesn’t build a resilient personality for when life gets hard.
Don’t confuse evil with crazy, there are too many people doing that already.
These are not mutually exclusive conditions.
And there is a difference between “too crazy to be legally liable” and “a danger to herself and others”
“”Where do I begin to thank these jurors — minus one,” Lindsay Clancy defense attorney Kevin Reddington quipped.
“The forelady of the jury, I was so proud when she indicated … that one person would not listen to the law, and then she came back immediately, stating that this is 11 to 1 for an acquittal, there was one individual who recognized there was reasonable doubt, and refused to apply the law.”
https://nypost.com/2026/09/04/us-news/lindsay-clancy-verdict-watch-day-7-live-updates/
I wonder WTF were the other 11 thinking?
There was no doubt, reasonable or otherwise.
Defense stipluated that she murdered the children.
She was not so out of it as to have no idea what she was doing, it was supposed to be a murder-suicide, but she fucked up the suicide.
Guilty.
I wonder WTF were the other 11 thinking?
They were the “not guilty by reason of insanity” block. I found the MA jury instructions for when the defendant claims insanity. The prosecution must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant was not insane. The defendant has no burden to prove anything. So, they thought the prosecution didn’t meet its burden. None of us were there, and the media is not going to report everything that happened at trial. But, it seems to me that the prosecution fucked up.
Her own actions removed doubt from me. I need evidence of insanity.
Her own actions removed doubt from me. I need evidence of insanity.
That’s nice. That’s not it works in Massachusetts.
They probably wouldn’t like my sentencing recommendation of burning at the stake either.
They probably wouldn’t like my sentencing recommendation of burning at the stake either.
They’ve moved from that to figuratively burning the witch, and by burning the witch, I mean attacking and slandering people that protest for free speech on Boston Commons.
That’s nuts.
I would say trying to kill herself after killing her kids is an indicator that she knew what she was doing was either wrong or illegal. She was certainly not fully in her right mind, but no so far gone that the insanity defense applies here.
“She identified as insane, so we have to
acceptcelebrate that!” 🙄She seemed to be meticulously methodical about the whole process.
“That’s nuts.”
Yes, it should be the other way round.
UCS: Her own actions removed doubt from me. I need evidence of insanity.
DEG: That’s nice. That’s not it works in Massachusetts.
That’s exactly how it works. Everywhere. Juries are not required to follow the judges instructions, nor the law, either as written or as presented to them by the judge.
And that’s how it worked here. One jury member was sensible, the others were rubber stamping a law that results in the wrong outcome in this case. That’s the entire purpose of juries – a check on the state (via a control on the prosecutions behavior/decision to pursue charges), the judge, and the law.
That’s exactly how it works. Everywhere. Juries are not required to follow the judges instructions, nor the law, either as written or as presented to them by the judge.
One juror thought the state met its burden. 11 Jurors thought the state didn’t meet its burden. We only have the fact that the foreperson claimed the one wasn’t following the judges instructions which doesn’t mean that’s what happened.
mean that’s what happened.
OK, agreed, I was assigning motive/thought processes to the jurors that I can’t know, as you were with So, they thought the prosecution didn’t meet its burden
The response was really addressed at the “not how it works in Massachusetts”; that’s exactly how juries work, whether in Mass. or elsewhere.
Under the MA standard, its a miracle anyone is ever convicted of anything. The prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant did not suffer from a mental disease or defect, which is undefined, or that “ the defendant nonetheless retained the substantial capacity to appreciate the wrongfulness or criminality of their conduct and to
conform their conduct to the requirements of the law”.
The second one is at least theoretically achievable, and should support a guilty verdict in this case given her obvious premeditation in getting her husband out of the way as well as her suicide attempt (although this could cut both ways).
The fundamental problem, though, is the burden of proof. Ordinarily, the defense bears the burden of burden of proving an affirmative defense to some level. In MA, though, all the defense has to do is say the magic words “insanity defense”, and sit back while the prosecution attempts the impossible (to prove a negative, that the defendant has no mental disease or defect) or engage in mindreading (the defendant knew it was wrong).
OK, agreed, I was assigning motive/thought processes to the jurors that I can’t know, as you were with So, they thought the prosecution didn’t meet its burden
Assigning motive? I’m commenting on their known actions.
The response was really addressed at the “not how it works in Massachusetts”; that’s exactly how juries work, whether in Mass. or elsewhere.
I’m well aware of jury nullification.
Don’t all these crazy ladies have sandwiches to make or something? How the hell do they have all this time to put their insanity on display day after day like this?
They’re not breadwinners and their food is delivered by gig employees.
AWFLs: “Believe all women!”
Lindsay Clancey: “I killed my children.”
AWFLs: “Shush, it was your husband who dunnit!”
Yes, it wasn’t his business before she killed them. The last fucking thing we want is prosecutors getting involved in our family life.
Greetings.

Yeah, you don’t send “aid” (Gaza is not “starving”) into a war zone and expect no reaction beyond leftist praise.
“Africa’s misrepresentation on world maps is not just a cartographic error – it’s a narrative issue,”
Eyeballing that new projection, it looks like South America is bigger too. And not mentioned in the article. I guess the narrative isn’t big enough to include them.
Narrative is everything!
So I spayed the back steps with sealant. It says don’t step on it for 24 hours, and seven days for full cure. I just hope it helps them survive repeated winters.

The professionals didn’t finish the job. I got sick of dealing with them and decided to wrap it up myself.

“Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal took heat from black lawmakers Friday after she referred to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) as an “AIPAC monkey.”
Jebreal used the racial epithet during an appearance on lefty commentator Wajahat Ali’s “The Left Hook” podcast, as she criticized the black Democrat’s support for Israel and accused him of doing the bidding of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)….
The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) rejected Jebreal’s defense.

I wonder who has the contact info for the assassins and will start deleting the other team first.
No kidding.
I wish they and their like-minded friends would all just disappear up their own assholes already and leave the rest of us alone.
Alright, “monkey” I can kind of see. But “errand boy”? No. Just not racist.
Headline: “Airline passenger duct-taped, zip-tied after hurling racist, homophobic slurs in mid-air meltdown”

https://nypost.com/2026/09/04/us-news/airline-passenger-duct-taped-zip-tied-after-hurling-racist-homophobic-slurs/
The physical violence is the reason for the physical restraints.
Zip ties are notoriously ineffective at preventing slurring without cutting off air flow and killing the person.
People will do crazy things to get bumped to business class.
At least they get to the important part right away:
“… prompting a black flight attendant and passengers to step in and restrain him.”
Somebody needs to have the NYP adjust its style guide immediately. That’s “Black”!
They do know how to get clicks there.
A large portion of what is wrong with our society is on display here. The hurty words the angry guy yelled are seen as the big problem. The violence is less important.
What is this “n-word” they keep talking about like it has some magical power?
“Scientists in China have identified a previously unknown tick-borne virus that can cause flu-like illness, fatigue and gastrointestinal symptoms, according to a new study.
The newly discovered virus, the Asian longhorned tick nairovirus (ALTNV), which is part of the orthonairovirus group, has also been found to cause thrombocytopenia (reduced blood platelet counts) and laboratory evidence of liver-cell injury or inflammation.”

No.
Soon to be a new global invasive species!
If it’s there, it’s already here.
Clearly the only sane response would be the saturation nuclear bombardment of China to eradicate the font of filth and disease that keeps emerging from the region.

FWIW, I have noticed, even apart from gender, that people with a fascist personality type tend to be extremely hostile to the insanity defense. I think their “thinking” is that if you’re psychotic enough to kill, you’re a waste of oxygen & should be put down like a mad dog
Cathy Young 🇺🇸🇺🇦🇮🇱
@CathyYoung63
“Psychotic people sholud be exterminated” is fascist, not conservative
I am not sure killing murderous psycopaths is soley a fascist position. Buy these tweets are making the rounds. The interwebs really selects for angry debates.
I’m not convinced their stance derives from logic.
WTF is a “fascist personality type”…?
“people I don’t like”?
It sounds like to me.
Anyone willing to do something unpleasant to protect people.
“People I disagree with”
It’s not that you are a waste of oxygen. Plenty of people are undoubtedly wastes of oxygen. It’s the whole psychotic enough to kill people thing. We don’t put down mad dogs to be mean, we do it because having lethally dangerous and out of control threats running around puts innocents at risk.
Tell that to Soros-funded big city DA’s.
Those DAs are among those lethally dangerous and out of control threats that cannot be running around putting innocents at risk.
“Capital punishment was abolished in Massachusetts in 1984 after the state Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. The last executions took place in 1947, and since then, the state has consistently opposed reinstating the death penalty.”
So it wasn’t at issue.
“It’s a bold move for Hollywood, who were said to be shying away from racy content in recent years in a bid to lure in Gen Z viewers.
Since 2000, the number of sex scenes in cinema has flopped by 40 per cent, with polls taken among the under-30s showing that younger viewers are more interested in seeing platonic friendships than hot hookups.
Yet this year, Hollywood appears to have taken a gamble on raunchy scripts once more, with an explosion of bonkbusters at the box office.”

Stop making up words.
I’m going to doubt the results of that survey.

Alternative explaination – the increased usage of unattractive checkboxes in place of normal actor/prostitutes would make people disinclined to want to see them unclothed.
OT UCS, what brand optic did you buy?
Just a holosun, nothing too remarkable.
That’s what seems to meet my feature desires as well.
Just would prefer something non Chinese made, albeit under contract for a U.S. firm
My understanding is they are the OEM for Sig’s pistol optics as well.
I’m not happy about it, but my Made in the USA red dot is for a rifle and wouldn’t fit the Shield.
My only other consideration is “Shield” brand UK sights but the value for money there is low.

US military hits 3 Iranian oil tankers after saying Navy warships were targeted with missiles
What I find cute about the Falklands is how proud the Brits are of their war effort in that one. Like we still got it old chum!
Also, Milei may be playing the card here to rile up his people when they’re angry (at him), but his ties to Trump and other current events/his ire with the UK actually make him the Argentinian leader best situated to get the job done. He’s uniquely positioned to actually accomplish the task so it’s a bit more than just posturing.
I am doubtful the UK is either willing or able to defend it these days.
Certainly not able. They don’t really have a Navy any more.
Hell, they can’t even defend their own island these days.
I am doubtful the UK is either willing or able to defend it these days.
The Brits, after the war, increased their military presence in the islands by building RAF Mount Pleasant. It’s still in operation today housing a few thousand (like 1,000 to 2,000) British military personnel.
Britain is a NATO country. An attack on NATO territory could cause the US to have to intervene. No, seriously. I mean it guys. Stop laughing.
Fun fact, the Falklands war was closer to WWII than to today.
On youtube several years ago there was a British documentary on how they almost lost the Falklands War. It was a multi-part documentary that interviewed mostly British military people that were involved in the planning and in the fighting, but did interview a few of the Argentine commanders on the ground in the Falklands.
I can’t find it. I found a newer video which I wonder if it was AI generated.
Anyways, the documentary was all about how close the British came to losing that war. A few things going slightly differently would have caused the British to lose the war. It was interesting listening to the Brits interviewed saying how close it was.
I’m of a mind that the Falklands should be made independent and governed locally.
i think most brits dont give a damn about that war.
I don’t know. The ones I interacted with online (probably been like 10-15 years now admittedly) always spoke glowingly of it when you’d point out that they were our weak little sisters at this point. America didn’t help at all during the great Falklands War.
Do you not know the Spirit of the Falklands?
There it is.
I was wondering if we’d get more protest music out of another Falklands war.

“Taiwan man wins lawsuit but gets jailed for using robot vacuum to record wife’s affair
Court rules that marital obligations do not override individual’s right to privacy, sentencing husband to five months in prison…
After reviewing surveillance footage from a parking garage, he identified an unknown man who had previously driven his wife home.
Three months later, he remotely activated the home’s robot vacuum cleaner via its mobile application, planning to use its built-in audio feature to communicate with his wife.
However, the live feed captured his wife in an intimate encounter with another man. Seeking evidence for a legal claim, he began recording the footage.”

That sucks!
Not well versed on Taiwanese laws, but there are more than a few jurisdictions here where that is unlawful surveilence. He could walk in on them and be legally sound, but spying with the robot falls in a different bin.
I wonder what Taiwan’s paternity laws are like. If he was married and she ended up having a kid and his name was on the birth certificate, would they have made him fight tooth and nail after finding out about the affair to get it off? Would he have been forced to give child support for another man’s kid?

Obviously hand wave this away as too hot chili is clearly the work of the devil.

The Venezuela deal appears to be unprecedented, Priest said. The U.S. considered taking direct control of an oil concession in Saudi Arabia during World War II but backed down due to industry opposition, he said. Congress almost created a federal oil company in 1976, but the vote narrowly failed.
“For the American government to get involved with a shady businessman concessionaire in a country that is known for endemic corruption, it just raises all sorts of red flags,” Priest said.
On top of the Pentagon equity stake, the State Department has the right to purchase 20% of NABEP’s oil output at the cost of production rather than market price. The U.S. agency also has the right to first refusal for the remaining 80% of NABEP’s production.
The U.S. government can also veto appointments to NABEP’s board of directors and a majority of the board must be U.S. citizens. The deal with NABEP is governed by U.S. law and subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
“This is straight up a state-owned enterprise,” said Scott Lincicome, an international trade law expert at the Cato Institute. “De facto control of 100% of output at cost — that’s ownership.”
We should let the Chinese have it.
Isn’t that par for he course in OPEC?
WRT the female child-murderers out there, I’m thinking a posse is long overdue. Too bad that’s not to a woman’s taste, much less 5 in the same locale, but examples must be made.
I could understand not guilty by diminished capability (or whatever the term is) and maybe even manslaughter although that seems to be a stretch. But, not guilty of something that she actually did (and there’s no doubt about that) is an odd place to run jury nullification.
Although, I guess it’s similar to the Luigi Mangione, “not guilty because the victim deserved it” defense.
Extrajudicial justice never looked so good.
So if I believe that the teachers are teaching communism, a hateful and murderous ideology, and the teacher unions are protecting said evil teachers, can I put a bullet in the back of the head of a teacher or union rep?* Or is extrajudicial violence only justified in terms of left wing causes.
*Note to the minders, I have no such intention, just applying Luigi logic to a right-wing cause.
“Corie A Walsh, 38, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the killing of her son, identified as Barrett Walsh, that took place on her $1 million property in Frankfort, Illinois on Tuesday, per the Daily Mail. Neighbors have compared the killings to the Lindsay Clancy case….
Walsh was found by police in a bathtub fully dressed, surrounded by bloody water. A neighbor was holding a towel to her left inner thigh and told police that she had taken a knife from Walsh and thrown it into a sink. Walsh had also cut her wrists. Prosecutors said that Walsh had allegedly told officers that she killed her young son because he was the “devil” and the “anti-Christ.” Prosecutors said witnesses told investigators that Walsh had become interested in the Lindsay Clancy case, where Clancy admitted to killing her three children in Massachusetts and then tried to kill herself.”
https://thepostmillennial.com/illinois-mother-of-2-year-old-charged-with-murder-in-another-lindsay-clancy-situation
See, under the MA standard, she has a good chance of getting off as well. If you genuinely believe that someone is the devil and the anti-Christ, then its not wrong to kill them, meaning you don’t understand the wrongfulness of your actions. And its nearly impossible for the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you do, in fact, understand that it is wrong to kill the devil and the anti-Christ.
True, though this is in Illinois which uses a saner standard for insanity:
(e) When the defense of insanity has been presented during the trial, the burden of proof is on the defendant to prove by clear and convincing evidence that the defendant is not guilty by reason of insanity. However, the burden of proof remains on the State to prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the elements of each of the offenses charged, and, in a jury trial where the insanity defense has been presented, the jury must be instructed that it may not consider whether the defendant has met his burden of proving that he is not guilty by reason of insanity until and unless it has first determined that the State has proven the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the offense with which he is charged.
People should be judged by their actions, not their thoughts. There is no way to prove one way or the other what’s in someone’s head. Which is why I’m against “hate crime” laws.
But the U.S. government’s partnership with NABEP faces legal and political uncertainty that raises doubts about the deal’s long-term viability.
“As with the other equity deals, the Trump administration does not appear to have laid out any legal rationale or justification for how they think they can do this,” said Peter Harrell, who served as an international economics advisor on the National Security Council under President Joe Biden.
Any time you need an unbiased definitive analysis, you rush straight off to find a former Biden administration official.
“Shana Gaviola, a California mother of four, is scheduled to surrender to federal prison on August 24 to begin a three-year sentence, nearly the statutory maximum, for violating a protective order her teenage son obtained against her in 2021. As she prepares to report, her attorneys have filed a formal application asking President Trump for a full and unconditional pardon….
According to Gaviola and her son’s school records, her son was troubled and his inappropriate behavior was noted by his school. At age 13, Blake announced that he was a transgender girl and requested to be called by a female name and given sex-rejecting interventions. Gaviola refused. The identity crisis appeared to subside. But that was not true. Blake’s Fresno public school was socially transitioning him without Gaviola’s knowledge and advising him about available sex rejecting interventions. In 2020, per the pardon application and police records, Gaviola’s son was arrested on allegations that he sexually abused a seven-year-old neighbor. To safeguard Gaviola’s other younger children, she arranged for her son to stay temporarily with a family friend, Susan Reynolds. In 2021, when Gaviola told her son it was time to come home, Reynolds instead aided him in filing for a restraining order and emancipation. Gaviola has not spoken with her son since.
Gaviola’s attorneys say that she believed, based on a custody decree naming her the child’s custodial parent and what they describe as defective service of the restraining order, that she retained legal authority to direct her son’s care. Gaviola retained a transport team composed of former law enforcement to take Blake to Agape Ranch Boarding School, a Missouri Christian boarding school that was later shut down in 2023 for multiple allegations of abuse towards the students. Blake was restrained during the 27-hour drive. Blake remained at Apage for eight days before his biological father, who shared legal custody, arranged for him to be picked up. Per Gaviola, Reynolds paid Blake’s father $20,000 to return Blake to a woman Blake’s father had never met.”

What a mess
“sex rejecting interventions”
JFC. That kid never stood a chance in that evil state. They are literally destroying children’s brains.
But think of the orgiastic celebrations when a Democrat President orders it to be dynamited
Veterans Michael Lemmon, Shaun Byrnes, Jon Gundersen — along with architectural historian Calder Loth — filed their temporary restraining order request shortly after Interior Secretary Doug Burgum announced that project excavation would begin within the next two weeks.
Continuing their months-long legal battle with the president, the group is now claiming the Trump administration is unlawfully moving ahead with the arch without receiving necessary approval, namely that of Congress.
“Preserving Congress’s role in authorizing the design and siting of commemorative works and other structures on federal land in our national capital will ensure democratic accountability,” their lawyers wrote Friday.
“My name is Trump, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
I swear, I thought SCOTUS said mere “aesthetic injury” did not give standing for these lawsuits.
“My question is why you would even go in there.”
In the hopes they would throw him out and he could sue.
