They aren’t net taxpayers like illegals?

Drunk Dem candidate’s bizarre tirade ends with ‘We have guns too’

She’s in Indiana. I thought that was an unofficial state motto.

    • rhywun

That was awesome. I’d watch more debates if all the contestants were shitfaced like that.

      • EvilSheldon

I wonder if you could make some money livestreaming drunk debates? Each candidate does a shot at the beginning, a shot for every question, and a shot to go over the time limit?

If nothing else, some prospective politicians might die of alcohol poisoning, so win-win!

      • EvilSheldon

No, that one never crossed my radar. I’ll check it out.

      • Drake

Yes – a happy hour debate / drinking contest. I would watch every time.

    • Fourscore

      Now do Chicago kids.

“those Indiana guns on those Indiana nights…”

    • rhywun

Her and that “gun nut” in Alaska could go on a comedy tour together.

    • EvilSheldon

She’s right on one level. Democrats do have guns, and are all too willing to use them to get what they want. Always keep that in mind.

On the positive side, combining morbid obesity, box Chardonnay, and Xanax, don’t exactly make for a capable urban guerilla.

      • juris imprudent

Democrats think they have guns, in the hands of uniformed true believers who will simply follow orders. Very few Democrats have the stones to point a loaded gun at another person, least of all one pointing a gun back at them.

Supreme Court justices will weigh arguments in a case involving a Nigerian man whom an immigration judge concluded materially supported a terrorist group by working as a cook.
    This isn’t Germany …

The other dude hired with me isn’t there anymore. I got to shadow my trainer and then box myself in my actual gig, which is factory-line VIN checks and ‘Associating’ them into our system by scanning its folder’s barcode. It’s both ungodly easy and repetitive. The production quotas make much more sense, now. I’ll miss The Vault, frankly, but whatevs. (May begin in there today? *shrug*)

Regardless, it pays $19.25 for the monotony and while I absolutely don’t want to be pigeonholed into this gig forever, it’s foolish to not embrace it now. Big step up. Hmm. Onward and up, ladies ‘n gents. I hope Derp’s leads with the staffing agency hold promise.

      • Evan from Evansville

        She’s not that articulate.

Oh! I get a week’s pay on Friday! That’ll be rewarding. I’ll likely celebrate by not buying anything.

    • WTF

And that’s why you don’t wear shirts with loose collars at the range ladies and gentlemen.

      • juris imprudent

Oh c’mon, the ladies with a scoop top and abundant decolletage are a unique joy.

    • ron73440

I had one get stuck under my flak jacket and left a blister, but I finished the shoot.

My wife wore a slightly low cut shirt to the range once.

It was our first time shooting in an indoor range,I didn’t realize the partitions would ricochet the casings right back at you.

She managed not to shoot me, but I think she was tempted after one went into her shirt.

    • EvilSheldon

I’ve gotten brass down the collar a few times – unless you wear nothing but turtlenecks, it’s hard to avoid.

I’ve also been sliced up by spall from steel targets, have tripped while running a stage and fallen on my face, and once racked myself right in the unit with my own shotshell belt (my groin was black and blue for three days.) But I’ve never shot myself, or even let off a shot accidentally while doing any of those things.

Careless people need to either not shoot guns, or stop being careless.

      • WTF

I wear a t-shirt with a tight collar, never had brass get down my shirt. I once had one land on top of my head though, so then I started wearing a baseball cap to the range after that.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

i have a luger, which throws brass straight up, and what goes up must come down… right in the back of your collar.

Major California tech conference canceled just 2 weeks before start date

The Grace Hopper Celebration, a massive conference in Anaheim that promotes diversity and brings together thousands of women in tech each year, has been canceled just two weeks before the event due to lack of funding, organizers announced this week.
    …
Unlike past events, this year, both individual registrations and sponsorship commitments came in significantly below our expectations and, ultimately, below the level needed to cover critical operating expenses.”

      🤔

“ESG Investors backed out, no USAID money, and no grassroots sponsors.”?

Nobody thought it was worth paying their own money to attend. Once the employer money dried up, attendance crashed.

The ESG people are under some legal pressure, too. Turns out, prioritizing the staffing of companies with suboptimal employees creates problems for people with fiduciary duties to shareholders.

      • Sensei

That’s why we have D&O insurance. Let me know when somebody in the C-suite actually pays a single $1 out of his/her/Xer own pocket.

Pope Leo XIV Diagnosed With Cancer as Doctors Remove Part of His Lung

What does the Pope and a soulless automaton have in common? LOL

    • UnCivilServant

I was trying to remember who had a similar procedure and accuse them of being Leo.

      • Necron 99

Yep, hopefully his procedure went as well as mine. Recovery was fairly quick and included good drugs, I do have some shortness of breath but it is getting better. And I hope he doesn’t have to do chemotherapy, as that shit sucks and I have round two of four starting tomorrow.

    • Fourscore

My prayers are with the pope.

It’s caused by all that smoke I see in Catholic services. Should come with a warning label.

      • Necron 99

I was once Catholic, an alter boy even, so maybe there is a connection. Or, maybe for me it was forty plus years of smoking. The world may never know.

      • Drake

4 minutes of incense or 40 years of smoking? You may have a case!

    • Nephilium

This is what can be expected when the Bishop of Rome goes up against the Bishop of Cleveland and loses.

Politico, so take it with a grain of salt.

“President Trump has made this election all about himself,” the lawmaker said.

      With friends like these…

Funny… the Dems have made the election all about Donald too. And unlike the Stupid Party, they fall in line when they are told to.

    • EvilSheldon

Throwing out RINOs might be worth the temporary pain of losing the House. Maybe. Except that there’s no reason to think that rock-ribbed conservative MAGAtarians won’t become the same RINO squishes once they take office and get the, “This is how it works in the real world,” speech.

      • (((Jarflax

That depends on the answer to a question I have wondered about for a while. How much of the slow rolling, grandstand announcements that end up going nowhere, and broken promises are because the politicians are lying squishes and how much is attributable to actual real world realities making our fantasy results impractical. I am certain both are at play.

      • juris imprudent

Oh clearly, the more you stand on principle, the more outside of the mainstream political crowd you are. ZWAK reminded us that politics is the art of the possible – not what is good, not what is right – just what a majority will support at any given time.

“Major banks closed accounts and refused credit to MAGA merchants, pro-life causes, religious groups, conservative organizations and sectors disfavored by the Biden administration, such as firearms, oil and gas, and private prisons, a bombshell report from the federal banking regulator has found.

The Debanking Review by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) investigated 100,000 complaints and scrutinized 50,000 internal bank records to reveal how customers were “debanked” based purely on their political, social, or religious beliefs.

JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC, TD Bank, and BMO Bank were found to have discriminated against American consumers, citing “reputation risk” as a reason to deny service between 2020 and 2025.”
