Sunday? SUNDAY! AM Links

Apparently I volunteered to cover for the old man. Lets see…birthdays? The man who invented pimping. A man famous for something he didn’t say. I’m afraid you’re just too loud. Not my jam, but I’m betting one of you is into it. The obligatory obscure scientist. Easily in the top 10 most hated people on the internet. Pompideou? More like Pompidon’t….am I right?

Ami I right?

*taps mic*

Is this thing on?

Fine. Links.

If he were truly committed, he’d douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire.

This doesn’t make sense to do it on a holiday weekend. Federal agents aren’t making double time and a half for the holiday.

They could’ve voted for the goofy Jamaican lady, but noooo. The obvious CIA honeypot candidate was just too enticing.

Meanwhile in England

What are the odds this guy fails to outlive Brian Johnson of AC/DC, or even Brian Johnson aka “Liver King”?

Insert Jeff Goldblum line here.

I knew it! It does raise more questions than it answers.

Music? I’m going to resist the urge to post Huey Lewis and instead post this, because it was stuck in my last last night,

Is it just me or did this 250th seem less of a celebration than past 4th’s? There were even less fireworks.

    • (((Jarflax

Usually in my neighborhood there are a lot of fireworks for several days before and after the 4th. This year almost nothing until last night, but last night was pretty heavy. I am not sure what to think. I am afraid it may be sinking in to even the normies how divided we have become.

      • The Bearded Hobbit

Following on the heels of our recent evacuation for a fire there was a noticeable lack of pyrotechnics in my neighborhood.

    • mexican sharpshooter

No, plenty of ingrates setting them off in my neighborhood.

      • Common Tater

It was much quieter here the last few days.

    • Chafed

My town and the local Indian casino both had their typical (good) fireworks.

    • Gender Traitor

We could see a bunch through our front window as we sat in the comfort of our air-conditioned living room and watched the Cardinals beat the Cubs again. The fireworks seemed to be from just one street over where there’s a vacant lot (once occupied by an eyesore greenhouse.)

    • Grummun

Neighbors to the north and south both put on displays last night. We have a slightly better view to the south, fewer trees. The family to the south have only been doing this for a few years, so they wrapped up in 30-40 minutes. They’ve also got young kids, so need to finish up before bedtime. The family to the north has been doing this much longer, and their kids are all grown. They were still working past midnight.

      • R C Dean

They were still working past midnight.

Then they are in the asshole zone. That’s way too late to expect everyone for blocks around to be not sleeping.

“A man who died a bloody death in downtown Los Angeles after violently chopping his own penis with a pocketknife was so high on meth that he should have been dead.

New bloodcurdling details about 31-year-old Ryan Dexter Sutherland’s extreme self-mutilation in the early hours of March 7 were revealed in a medical examiner’s report….

A toxicology report showed he had an extreme amount of methamphetamine in his system, as well as MDMA…..

Sutherland’s death was ruled a suicide due to multiple “sharp force injuries” to his neck, right forearm and wrist, chest and genitalia. He used a non-serrated pocketknife about two inches long and three-quarters inch wide to cut himself, according to the report.

The wound to his genitals spanned nearly a foot in circumference, exposing his testes and causing a “degloving” of his penis, the report noted.”

Looks like the victim they arrested was reaching over the cop to get his attackers who went free, not “assaulting” her.

    • R C Dean

Yeah, there was incidental contact with the cop, but he was clearly not attacking her. I predict he gets at least a year in prison, because yookay.

Plus it was clear as day who the aggressors were, and the lady cop went straight for the white guy who was attacked and made no effort whatsoever to do anything about the black attackers.

      • rhywun

Love the bit about the cops begging the public not to share the video.

“The nonprofit founded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s radical tenant advocate Cea Weaver is pushing a Marxist scheme that will use more than $2 billion in taxpayer dough to “take housing off landlords’ hands.”

The New York State Tenant Bloc, which Weaver helmed until joining Mamdani’s administration in January, said it wants to deploy the newly approved taxpayer funds to allow tenant-backed groups to take over rent-stabilized units, but was coy about the details….

A review by The Post previously found Mamdani’s plan to seize housing involved dragging bad landlords to court to have a judge appoint a non-profit to take over — and using the city’s Housing Development Fund Corporation to give loans and tax breaks for tenants to collectively take ownership of their buildings.”

Strict code enforcement in a place like NYC will result in all landlords being “bad.” Of course the landlords who grease the right palms or who have the right political connections will be graded more leniently if at all. It’s essentially a property confiscation and redistribution scheme which is just what you’d expect from those scrunts.

“He is one of my subs and traveled in from Maryland for a session with me on Thursday. He did the mummification scene to please me,” Tautou, who commands rates of up to $10,000 for a full-day session, told The Post….

The willing victim stripped down to his skivvies and socks on the Nolita street and was then tightly wrapped by the diminutive domme with yards of plastic, with just a small slit for a breathing hole.

Tautou, clad in a barely-there bikini top and booty shorts, then climbs on top of a step stool to pour two half-gallons of milk over the sub’s steaming head.”

Not their income, which they have arranged to be almost nothing. The wealth itself. The same way a family pays property tax on a house whether or not they sell it. We conduct this assessment on individual’s estates already when they die….

And the tax should not stop at billionaires, it must reach centimillionaires. The tax has to reach all fortunes $50 million and up, and one already does. Every year it has been introduced, I have cosponsored the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act. It starts at $50 million: 2 percent a year on wealth above that line, And it reaches the money inside irrevocable trusts, taxed to the grantor who set them up. Moving a fortune into a trust should not take it off the books from a wealth tax.”

Are you now or have you ever been…

Last week, he referred to Democrats as “hard core, godless Communists” at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s 2026 policy conference.

Trump’s latest round of attacks has followed primary victories by democratic socialist candidates. They are reminiscent of similar narratives he has employed throughout his political career.

But experts say his claims, echoed by Vice President J.D. Vance and other Republican leaders, are off base.

Here’s a closer look at the facts.

TRUMP: “It’s becoming a communist party. These are not social Dumocrats, these are hardcore, godless Communists.”

THE FACTS: No candidate openly belonging to the U.S. Communist Party has ever been elected to state or federal office, according to experts. Although there are fringes of the Democratic Party that have expressed support for communist ideas, experts say that they still advocate for a market-based economy and that it is inaccurate to paint the entire party with such a broad brush. Trump recently began referring to Democrats pejoratively as “Dumocrats.”

There you have it. Case dismissed.

    • Chafed

Since “experts say” there isn’t a problem with then there can’t possibly be one.

    • Nephilium

No candidate openly belonging to the U.S. Communist Party has ever been elected to state or federal office, according to experts.
