Zverev barely escapes the first round. The SEC can’t even stand Lane Kiffin’s nonsense anymore. Kaepernick is now shunning the NFL. Too bad he won’t shun media outlets so we can be rid of his performative nonsense. The Astros are back to .500 again and only 1 game up. And college football’s week 1 is almost here, thank God. And that’s about it for sports.
This will be an interesting trial. I wonder who his fan group will be, since the SSRI-mob is already busy simping for a triple-murdering nutball.
Why are they reporting this like it’s a bad thing? Because I think it’s wonderful.
I’m shocked! Shocked it took someone this long to put the pieces together, because every accusation about the group has been known for decades.
I guess we’re not allowed to have a country, because somebody might hurt himself. None of this story adds up, but that doesn’t matter either.
May God have mercy on those ladies. And the ladyboys, obviously.
Honestly had no idea they were still around. Good on them for finding an audience again, I guess.
This story sucks. They don’t even tell us whose were spicier.
Cowboys and Indians sure has changed. It used to be a much simpler game where the biggest worry was a bb to the nuts.
The manager ought to have known she’d get sued. There’s nothing ironic that happened, so that’s the pun I’m going with.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! Sadly, there’s not a way for everybody involved to lose.
These guys were underrated. Which is a shame. But I won’t forget them. And now you can’t either. Enjoy them both.
And enjoy this lovely Wednesday, dear friends.

I was rooting for the other guy but I wan’t going to stay up to 2am to give my support.
And now he lost…
Bad Rhywun!
Transtifa Furries.
All of Candance Owen’s fans?
Isn’t that basically low IQ and feminized asshats?
I didn’t see anything about when he arrived, who brought him here, why his entire family is still here, etc. etc. And ankle monitors?! If that was a thing we would surely have heard of it before.
The whole thing reeks of a snow job.
whoa how did that happen
I assume you’re talking about the Haitian and not the guy facing the death penalty for public murder
A licky boom boom down.
Oh, not that kind of snow job.
a snow job.
They should make a heist movie called “The Snow Job” where a group of con-men steal…I don’t even know, whatever the most valuable thing in Canada is…and they’re taken on by the Mounties, whose special investigative team are all 2SLGBTQIA+ (or whatever letters they’re using up north now) and they’re using a Trump trade negotiating team as a cover for the operation.
I’d have them steal the Stanley Cup, but that hasn’t resided in Canada for a long time.
Zing!
Ankle monitors were being put on the Haitian “refugees” in Springfield as a way of making sure they would show up at detention trials. From memory they were an option instead of detention.
Sloopy:
You mean like The Sticky?
He doesn’t exude the musky sexuality of some of the left’s favorite killers, so I doubt he’s going to get anyone’s panties moist. That knocks out a big draw for groupies. He did kill a Nazi, so I guess maybe some of your antifa types?
The comment section is filled with supporters.
I’m going to wager both got 0 Schoeville.
Yeah, I get a green chili burrito from a place around here and they always warn me it’s “spicy” and every now and then I get a bite that is approaching spicy heat. It does have a pleasant flavor though.
0 is the appropriate spiceiness.
Spoken like a true Idahoan.
My friend from Minnesota thought ketchup was a little spicy.
He was from Norwegian blood and had no concept of cold, we would all be wearing hoodies and he was fine in a t-shirt.
Extra mild salsa only for you Threedoor?
Damn straight Spud.
Tabasco is as hot as I’ll go.
I don’t even like ground pepper.
No, it sure does not.
“unable to return to their home country”
Bullshit.
“You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here. If you’re in doubt, we’ll airdrop you on a random shithole.”
He could have gone to Long Prairie and blended in.
Well, they can’t swim …
I recall the statistic for those that claim asylum because going back home is life threatening, but then as soon as they get the exception or a residency, they go to their home country on vacay, is in the mid 80s. So yeah, these are just economic migrants. And they are not here for the American dream, but for welfare. We should deport them all.
It’s insane that illegal aliens are here getting shit for free that American’s have to pay for, and that their taxes are providing for the illegals, like healthcare, housing, food, etc.
^^^^^SO MUCH THIS^^^^^^
Supposedly these aliens d not even get to vote, but the political class hell bent of communism is giving them everything for free. And then calling Americans that call out this insanity and wonder if they are being replaced evil and uncaring, while telling us we are a nation of immigrants. Yeah, immigrants that had no welfare state and crooked government to use them to rig the census and elections.
Instate tuition for illegal aliens to state schools (where not outright paying for the entire thing). Meanwhile legitimate foreign nationals pay jacked up international rates.
Illegals get more rights and goodies than citizens. I wonder how much longer American will stand for it.
We’ve long rolled over Rhy
Unwilling and unable are 2 different concepts. I also remember not too long ago when the left was telling me Haiti was not a shithole and was a wonderful destination.

Well, from what I understand he’s a mediocre football player and a troublemaker that causes headaches for his employer.
Who’d want to hire him?
I am shocked Cleveland hasn’t given him a 5 year $200 million deal.
He was massively overrated. There were a dozen players or more that were very vocal about taking a knee and being subjected to racism while making $20 million a year and guess what? Here is the equation:
Talent on field > headaches from running their mouth off field = you get to keep playing.
Talent < headaches = nobody wants to touch Kryptonite.

Stunning and brave. Take that, Mad King Donald!
PS. Their maps were shitty decades ago. I am not going to dirty myself to find out if they got any better.
Google maps is tolerable, but more a digital advertisement board rather than just maps. MapQuest it seems to have said “hold my beer”.
I typed in my address and I got 50 places of business with my street name rather than my specific address.
Yeah, I got it zoomed to my neighborhood with way more advertising than Google Maps.
Everything Google does is done with the goal of delivering targeted advertising. They are an ad broker first, foremost, and totally.
Apple Maps is way easier on the nerves.
Frankly, good for them. This whole remaining things bullshit because he isn’t immediately getting his way is the act of a petty, petulant child having a hissy fit.
Yup.
I’m not even sure that he has that power – it does not seem that he should.
I’ll say this for Mad King Donald’s renaming of things:
It is a very traditional power move. It shows who the boss is. That’s why the left has been doing it for quite some time now.* If the Canadian government and their Chinese handlers need to be reminded of that, its a pretty low-cost, low-impact way to do it. Especially considering he could have gone with Lake Dontario.
*On a related note, I see that Spanberger has finished the demolition of Monument Ave. in Richmond by removing the remaining statues of Confederates. Also, what conquerors do.
Akshually…he does have that power. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names is an interagency federal body operating under the Secretary of the Interior, which answers to the President.
Amazing how conservative people get when it’s their shit getting renamed.
Is it petulant? Sure, but so is tearing down stuff as R.C. points out.
I’m not even sure that he has that power – it does not seem that he should.
The authority for official names lies with the Secretary of the Interior and the Board on Geographic Names per 43 USC Chapter 11A. It appears the Secretary of the Interior ordered the change.
“he has the power”
Ah, OK.
Still petty but yes, the left does it all the time. Turnabout something something.
I’ll never call it Lake America just like I’ll never call the Tappan Zee Bridge the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
There is also the fact that unlike when the left does it – and the opposition meekly goes along with it – Donald’s changes won’t stick. The next Dem will just undo all of them and none of his supporters will object at all.
I’ll never call it Lake America just like I’ll never call the Tappan Zee Bridge the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
#metoo
I hated when the wokesters did it during the Summer of Floyd. I don’t suddenly like it because Trump does it.
Yes, every renaming of a street to MLK blvd (or whatever), Caesar Chavez in SF, and so on, is an act of pissy hissy children.
The next Dem will just undo all of them and none of his supporters will object at all.
Like policy whiplashing, I am not looking forward to the flood of renaming every few years.
MLK Boulevard is at least useful. Have not been to a city yet where that isn’t the street to avoid if you value your life.
Maybe MapQuest can send folks down those streets for more political points
ha The Jersey City parking bureau is on MLK Drive or Blvd or whatever.
I was a little apprehensive having to visit there the other day but it was no sweat.
MLK is at least arguably a great American.
Cesar was just the left shoving it in your face.
It’s dumb.
But the left has renamed every Sqaw creek, a bunch of animals because the names were icky or the guy that named them was a racist.
I’ll never call a sqaw fish a “northern pike minnow.”
Screw the left.
I appreciate OMBs trolling of them.
The same idiots that rename everything they don’t like historically based on woke ideocracy, and tell me a guy in a dress is a woman, and I need to call it by whatever new name it wants – or else – are now in arms cause Trump played their game? Are they even aware of how dumb they now sound?
How long before they remove the Kirkland Memorial?
Kirkland was a Confederate racist traitor. I’m amazed the monument hasn’t already been dynamited.
I thought Kirkland was Costco’s house brand.
Boycott CostMo!
All the military bases too.
They were confederate racist traitors!!!
Those base names were an act of reconciliation and recognition of great American generals and leaders.
It’s not like they named a base butcher shop after Nathan Bedford Forrest.
“If the SEC takes immediate action to punish LSU, the league would be violating a standing court order issued by a state judge in Louisiana that prohibits the SEC and Sankey from enforcing any rules — including conference-wide bans on pro players — that would keep the players involved in an ongoing lawsuit off the field.”
I’m sure that state judge in Louisiana totally isn’t a LSU fan and is completely above reproach.
What does the Securities and Exchange Commission have to do with sanctioning sportsball players?
Probably more than we’d be comfortable with knowing.
Given the commercialization of college players and the surprisingly large earnings potential some of them have, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had been financialized to the point of being within the SEC’s ambit.
I do find it interesting that apparently LSU is now exempted from conference rules. Seems like that would mean they aren’t a member of the conference any more.
If they’re exempt from conference rules, they should not be allowed to play in conference games.
It doesn’t matter what the rules are, a judge in Louisiana has decreed!
They really have just assumed dictatorial powers for themselves, haven’t they?
Arrest the entire team when they play outside Louisiana.
Football is not just a game anymore.
Who would Jesus have signed with?
Duh! Notre Dame! ::ESPN cameraman picks out his mom in the stands::
The SEC is a voluntary association of universities. Schools are not forced to be members. However, under the conference bylaws, they have a process for amending eligibility rules. Those rules were amended using that process. And under the bylaws, that LSU voluntarily agreed to follow when they joined the conference, pros can’t come back and play.
This judge is out of his element here. This is a private agreement between several parties who agreed to collectivize rule making to the conference. Not to mention it’s not in his jurisdiction since the conference is incorporated in Alabama.
So I was wondering something.
Whenever I turned on my table saw, he initial inrush current would dim the lights briefly. When the circuit was just the lights, I was never concerned too much about that. But now that my 3D printer lives in the same room, this makes me more cautious about the electrical stability. I also have a long term plan to relocate things like my mill to the same room. This makes me ask – is there anything I can put between devices with a high startup draw and the wall that can soak that spike? Something to protect the rest of the circuit from that aggressive device without preventing me from using it?
Solutions for the High-Draw Appliance
These devices install between the appliance and the wall to limit the initial current spike.
Electronic Soft Starter: This device gradually ramps up the voltage to the motor over a few seconds, eliminating the sudden inrush current. It is highly effective for universal motors (like those in routers or some jobsite table saws), but check compatibility if your saw uses a heavy induction motor.
🤔
Dedicated circuit or 2?
rewiring the electrical in the house is a bit more drastic than I really want to do. Especially as I’d have to hire an electrician to do it.
Is your breaker box full?
Google says it would be $600-1,800 for 2. Depending on variables.
I’m pretty sure an electrician will look at my breaker box and insist on replacing it.
I don’t know if this is “full” or not
I don’t know if this is “full” or not
Good God, I would have that replaced because I’d be worried about a fire.
Well, that is an old box. I see a big power cable draped across two open slots – but that may be tapping power off of there. A new box would give you room to grow and more modern breakers.
The line going across the middle appears to connect to the top left breaker which is the main, whole-house breaker. I’m trying to recall, but I think there’s a solid spacer over that part of the front panel not installed in that picture.
I showed the pic to a coworker.
He had a kinder take than WTF. LOL.
A modern upgrade would be in your best interest, however.
“Good luck finding new breakers for that.”
It takes standard breakers. I’ve already swapped one.
Good. His comment was based on perceived age of the box.
Yeah, I imagine if you took the modesty panel off, modern breaker boxes would look like that.
That box is fine, NA is right, if you open a box up they all look like that (and my box is new and looks worse, because trying to update an old electrical set up from K&T to Romex is always ugly.)
Looks like you have two places for 15 or 20 amp breakers.
Those are a fairly modern breaker, same as my place has which was built in 08 and still available.
Looks like there was some meltdown in there at some point, and some smoke got let out.
Home Depot carries those breakers. I think they are a Siemens part.
Do you plan to run all of these at the same time? If not, do not worry about it. If yes, you need to either put in a soft start motor on the table saw, or move it to another circuit.
For large prints the 3D printer can go for hours unattended. That leaves me free to work on other things, and I’m looking to mitigate problems before they bite me.
Run an extension cord from another circuit to the 3D printer, and you will be all good without any real issues except it looks ugly. That will be your cheapest option.
Good morning!
Here’s an article on a subject I find oddly interesting – recycling and waste disposal.
The only problem with this is that you cannot overcome an emotion based belief with an evidence based argument. You will present all the evidence in the world that recycling programs waste resources, contribute to pollution of the oceans, lead to additional food waste, and have no actual positive results. They will just get angry and explain that they care about the planet.
I out my box of boxes to the curb on recycling day because it’s awkward to fit it in a trash bag to get it taken on trash day.
I wish I had enough space for a burn barrel so I could light the cardboard up and return the carbon to the trees.
You could just pile it next to your breaker box 🙂
“The only problem with this is that you cannot overcome an emotion based belief with an evidence based argument. You will present all the evidence in the world that recycling programs waste resources, contribute to pollution of the oceans, lead to additional food waste, and have no actual positive results. Oh, they will get mad. Especially the crime syndicates – be it governmental or the supposed private entities they are working with – making bank from this idiotic effort.
That doesn’t make the evidence-based argument any less interesting, though. Or really any less useful, if we as a culture understood how to deal with ‘people’ who exist at the mercy of their feelings.
I wish I had enough space for a burn barrel so I could light the cardboard up and return the carbon to the trees.
My wife asks to keep some of the cut cardboard for use in the fire pit. It is her preferred kindling. She loves to burn stuff while she is gardening.
If we had a culture like that, ES, no one would ever get laid or call their mother.
See every Libertarian argument ever.
It’s much easier to say the rent is too damn high and evil landlords are profiting – takes 1 second. Explaining how rent control wrecks housing availability takes about 4 minutes, which is 3 minutes and 55 seconds too long.
I burn 99% of the cardboard and paper trash at my place.
It’s hot and dry season so I have a backlog of cardboard but it’ll be a great fire when the weather cools down and I get to it.
Nah. There’s nothing wrong with paying attention to one’s feelings. I’m hardly Mr. Spock, myself. But if giving your reason and your feelings equal consideration prevents you from getting laid or calling your mother…well, that may say something unkind about you and/or your mother.
(I actually call my mother pretty frequently, because I enjoy chatting with her. Usually about the NYT crossword.)
Feelings can tell you where you want to go. They can’t tell you how toget there.
Interesting article.
My wife has seen the trash trucks take our trash and recycle bin together with the same truck.
Cause it is all going to the same place.
I wasn’t surprised, but she was, since they usually pretend with 2 trucks.
Canada sends their recycling to China who then takes a magnet to the pile to extract the good stuff and sends the rest to that garbage island in the ocean. That’s why we don’t hear much about it anymore. They did a study and found it was Canadian junk mail and everyone just kind of stopped talking about it.
I watched an employee at Whole Foods load up the garbage and the three different recycling containers into the same garbage can once and had a chuckle.
Even that guy knew it was stupid.
Food on cardboard or paper ruins the load of recycled pulp, as does foil covered cardboard.
My mother gets oddly emotional about this.
I take it all to the dump, throw the “recyclable” stuff in the appropriate trailer, and don’t worry about it. It’s out of my house and the county’s problem now.
When I was growing up in a rural area in the South we burned most of our garbage, which almost everyone else did. There was not near as much plastic back then, mostly paper and cardboard, so it was almost certainly better for the environment than the recycling nonsense we are doing today.
Unless it’s metal of clean fibre throw it away.
The file burned in shipping any of the other ‘recyclables’ costs more than the product is worth.
Over read that it costs less to ship sand from Chile to the U.S. to make glass than it does to clean and ship bottles to recycle them.
I worked at a recycling center all the way back in 2001 and even they acknowledged that they had a few loss leaders (plastic, which they later stopped taking) and then for a while even cardboard was negative. I’m not sure if paper has rebounded. It may be worth something with the Canadian lumber tarrifs now.
Morning! Are there DNS / Server shenanigans going on? I can log on at work with what is likely an older cached DNS, but my phone and home PC are 403!
Interesting – I turned off all uBlock Origin Lite filtering and it started working. Perhaps coincidence + WP squirrels.
I have not had any issues thusfar today.
Admittedly, work has a forward proxy which likely did cache the DNS record at least.
PRNJ – 2A update. I was able to find a new already NJ compliant Shadow 2 Carry close by – so my once every 30 days purchase has been initiated.
The much more widely available NJ compliant 10 round Glock 43X MOS will have to wait 30 days. I’m more interested in the CZ anyhow as I’ve shot plenty of Glocks and never shot a CZ. I hope I like it as it ain’t cheap!
I looked up what NJ compliant Shadow was:
Which is it?
Is it standard or is it high capacity?
That being said Fuck New Jersey.
NJ doesn’t have “high standards”!
*ahem*
YOU DON’T NEED MORE THAN TEN ROUNDS TO HUNT A DEER!
*bows*
If you’re hunting deer with a 9mm handgun, you’re doing it wrong.
Just walk up to one, and pop ‘im in the skull.
/Lago Vista TX
The Third Circuit recently ruled NJ’s “large capacity magazine” and “assault rifle” bans unconstitutional. Unfortunately they also granted NJ a stay pending the SCOTUS appeal, so we’ll likely have to wait until 2027 to have standard capacity mags and standard AR-15s with adjustable stocks.
If you don’t like it, I will enter negotiations as to a price.
I want to pick up some extra magazines for it. As you are 10 round restricted and beat on them – any recommendations? Or do you just buy 10 round OEM Mec-Gars?
I buy 10rd MecGars. They work great.
BUT
Those are only available in blued. If the gun arrives at the LGS with the nickeled 17 rounders, I’ll have the gunsmith plug/scribe them to make them NY compliant.
I think the cost of the pinning was more than the cost of the magazine.
I really want the magazine capacity bans struck down so I can have standard capacity. I might feel better if it goes nine more rounds than the single stack 45 instead of just two.
Mec-Gar 10 rd blued magazines are cheap when bought online.
CZ-Marked nickeled 17 rounders are triple that price in a gun store.
Rob’s plug/laser engrave cost was $45 for the three that came with the gun.
Move to a freer state.

I see people cheering the crazy black lady that stabbed 2 people killing one, because the dead lady was a VP for Bank of America.
The same people also say there was no need to shoot the crazy black lady, “She only had knives”, “Could have just tackled her, you have body armor on”.
I wish I was making this up.
I really really hate that these gormless idiots put me in the position of having to defend cops.

I mean, valid grieving mother quote aside, don’t go stabby stabby with knives in public…
It’s a good thing NYC designated Times Square as a “sensitive place” where carry is prohibited, so everyone was safe from gun violence while that lunatic was stabbing people.
Not sure why I thought she was black.
Gotta admit, I was wondering why they never tried to tase her. At least two cops had their tasers in their hands the whole time.
The report I heard said they did try to tase her, but it was ineffective, so when she charged them with the knives they shot. Seems perfectly reasonable.
Not sure what would make a taser ineffective?
Lots of things. Bad electrode placement, conductive clothing or jewelry in the electrode path, or just being a big fat fucker.
Bad electrode placement is probably the #1 cause of Taser failures. The darts aren’t very accurate, and you need to get both of them on the torso to get a reliable stun.
It’s a bank, everyone is a VP. I’m a project manager at a back so I’m a VP. I don’t even both putting it on my signature.
They are speculating that her rolls of fat stopped the taser.
I’m not as ACAB as some of you but yes, the people who are defending (some) murderers are truly sick and evil.
I’m about 50/50 anti cop.
When there is a body on the ground and a crazy person wielding a knife any yelling crazy shit I’m down with Judge Dred.
Save the taxpayers money and call the coroner.
She windmilled her arms to cancel the tasers. It worked.

The unruly horde, a majority of whom were between the ages of 14 and 17, overran the Hoffman Heights Shopping Centre in Aurora, Colo., at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Aurora police.

In the category of “things someone might have on their person” it is still not cheap but has a lot of competition at higher price points.

never mind all the bureaucracy and taxation this is the problem with EU economy.
“For now, there is no plan to confiscate deposits or withdraw money from individual bank accounts. Brussels’ proposal is different and, precisely for that reason, more politically significant: to use tax incentives, new financial products, regulatory changes, and more integrated supervision to push a greater share of private savings towards European capital markets.”
I like the qualification “for now”. That said this is being spun.

Expected by who?
The economists I listen to definitely expected this, but the “experts” are surprised by this “bad luck”.
They keep getting more brazen.
Holy shit, they don’t even try to hide it anymore.
We will give you what we feel you deserve. Oh, yeah. And it is conditional on your compliance. Anyone that does things to avoid that dependency, and thus that noose around their neck, is a problem.
That is the globalist government model. These globalists scum didn’t choose communism cause it works the best for society. No, they chose it because it is the system they feel will give them the highest level of protection, as they abuse everything, and the highest ability to kill any attempt to hold them accountable.
And somehow that vile criminal wasn’t immediately thrown into prison or publicly hanged.
Yes, yes, I know, ‘freedom of expression’. First of all, politicians aren’t people and don’t have rights. Second, even if the EU President was an actual human being, freely expressing the idea of, ‘I’m going to steal your money, and I can make it happen…’ is something that is legally punishable.

After COVID, I don’t think there is a bright line for a lot of people.
Do European banks operate with full reserves? Is all the money sitting in a bank vault?
You think a Europol realizes that savings account funds are already reinvested?
I’m no expert on banking, but I know deposit accounts are booked as liabilities by banks. A bank’s assets are the loans it makes, not the cash deposited with the bank.
Money deposited with a bank is essentially loaned to it, since the bank owes it back to you. The bank then loans that money out at a higher rate of return. How you securitize the bank’s deposit accounts is not immediately obvious to me.
They aren’t fully securitized. For regulatory purpose various assets count as partial securitization.

Y’all need to put these scum on stakes.
“School shootings are not a trans problem, school shootings are a gun problem and they’re trying to dissuade us from talking about the real issue here, which is too often it’s the case that almost anyone can get any gun anytime and take it anywhere, like a school,” he went on.”

School shootings are not a trans problem or a gun problem. They are a schools and psychiatry suck problem.
Retarded fascist says something retarded. Film at 11.
Who is more likely to pick up a gun and go shooting people? An inanimate object without arms, or a person who is super jacked on various drugs, and thinks they are supposed to be someone with different genitals and is laughed at for this?
It is a real mystery!
Who is more likely to pick up a gun and go shooting people?
An Indiana gun. That’s the gun that’s going to pick up another gun and go shooting people.
Lindsay Clancy 🤝 Kyle Rittenhouse
They obviously killed people, but there may be extenuating circumstances, it’s the legal system’s job to explore those circumstances, and some people are politically motivated to believe the legal system is corrupt due to that exploration

So the kids were coming at Lindsay swinging a skateboard at her head?
The 8-month old was trying to kill her!
Corrupt? Well, yes. But the larger issue is that (setting aside any question of corruption) the legal system is incompetent.
The judges and juries who are letting recidivist criminals out without punishment aren’t doing it because they’re being paid off. They’re doing it because they are stupid, and have allowed their base emotions to subsume their ability to think.
They aren’t stupid, and thinking so is a big crutch for anyone opposed to this. They simply have a different set of priors, namely compassion, and while that might seem to us misplaced, it doesn’t seem that way to a huge part of the country.
Don’t fall into the same trap JI does. It neither helps find a way out of this, nor brings undecideds over.
At least for the U.S., this is hardly a crisis. A 10-year bond in the 4%-5% range was normal before the financial panic and the pandemic. While rising yields may be painful for governments, and pose risks for overleveraged borrowers, they are healthy for markets because they restore price signals and provide a more accurate measure of credit risk.
Why on earth would we want that?
“An African Muslim man has been identified as the suspect in the fatal Monday shootings of two individuals outside of an LGBTQ bar in Tucson, Arizona. Ousman Ceesay, 44, reportedly had a list of several LGBTQ businesses when he was located in the area, police said.
The two victims, identified as Antifa associate Cameron Davis Capara, 33, and Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, were pronounced dead at the scene. Ceesay, who also sustained a gunshot wound, was declared deceased after being transported to a hospital. It’s unclear if he took his own life.”

So the Islamists and Communists start shooting each other?
Not soon enough.
Wouldn’t that be lovely?
Sooner or later, yes. They both seem to think they will be able to purge the other after finally getting rid of Remnant Americans.
My money is on the Islamists. Antifa hardliners may be committed and have a modicum of real-world asymmetric conflict experience, but they are nothing compared to the Mujihadeen.
Absolutely. Just like in Iran, where the commies were stupid enough to pitch in getting rid of the Shah, and were then first up against the wall.
Revolutionaries tend to be true believers. Dictators and secret policemen tend to be more cynical and focused on power. This is why revolutionaries tend to get disappeared right along side the old regime once the takeover is complete.
But what did Ceesay Ceesaw that made him play like this?

Just listened to a great interview on CNBC with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith – extremely rational, laid-out the major trade issues (essentially confirming that Trump administration is correct about the Chinese dumping of steel/aluminum), auto jobs, and energy. She was clear there is NO WAY Canada and Alberta in-particular have any desire to “turn off” energy to US. CNBC in one of the least woke moments on-record actually asked her about Carney’s escalation of trade tensions to push liberal candidates – she didn’t reject that concept.
See the discussion above about recyclables on using logic & facts in long arguments vs. the feelings shit to deal with it. The globalists have chose China because they would rather serve in hell than serve in heaven without their globalist government, and accountable to their people. The vast majority of the world’s supposed elite are absolutely the most vile people ever. It’s all about protecting themselves from their bad choices.

“The US contribution has been upped to $3.6m, which state department officials say will be used to deliver food assistance to feed 10,000 affected households for up to three months, and pay for emergency items such as blankets, mosquito nets and shelter sheets.
However, seasoned humanitarian aid specialists suggest even that contribution is inadequate and say the US response has shrunk to a shadow of its previous capacity by the dismantling of USAID, the country’s main foreign assistance organization, after Donald Trump’s return to the White House last year.”

How is it the U.S. problem?
White liberal women…
Because the US is rich, swimming in money, and it’s only fair that they contribute their share. Don’t mention that the US has the largest debt in the world.
Fuck off, the Guardian.

“The law, signed by Kathy Hochul, New York’s governor, requires cosmetology and natural hair styling classes to include instruction on hair types from the kinkiest to the straightest. Additionally, the new training will require students to learn about hair and scalp properties, hair care and styling techniques associated with textured hair.
Students will have to demonstrate their proficiency on state licensing exams. The number of hours required to receive a license will not change. Schools have had three years to prepare for and comply with the new law, which was signed in 2023.”

To make sure the state can collect its fee and to allow the exist cartel to gatekeep new members.

NOTHING LEFT TO CUT
Hospitals thought losing hundreds of billions in Medicaid funding through GOP-led cuts last year was bad. But coming regulations from the Trump administration could slash their funding even deeper than Congress did.
Two recently proposed rules from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services would cost hospitals hundreds of billions of dollars more, hospital executives told POLITICO. The rules, which target taxes states use to get more federal Medicaid dollars — and which yield higher payments to hospitals — have prompted hospitals to launch another major lobbying blitz after record spending last year.
“Our core message to CMS is to stick to the statute. Congress cut enough,” said Robert Nelb, director of policy at America’s Essential Hospitals, which represents hospitals serving large Medicaid populations.
“There’s no need to cut any more out of the Medicaid system at a time when the safety net is really struggling,” Nelb added.
Why do I assume this is bullshit?
“Congress cracked down on a practice in which states boost their federal matching funds by taxing hospitals to inflate the state portion of the Medicaid budget and then kick the money back to the hospitals in the form of higher payments.”
So, a cheating work-around was eliminated?
I seem to recall this was already outlawed once. The scam is dead simple:
Hospitals pay a special Medicaid tax.
That tax money is used to raise the reimbursement to hospitals.
The reimbursement to hospitals draws federal matching funds (generally around 2:1).
So, a hospital pays $1MM in tax, and its reimbursement is increased $3MM, with the feds ponying up $2MM. The hospital profits $2MM, the state is out zero dollars, everybody wins!
Increase in services provided? Zero.
Wait, what?
People talk about this stuff like it is some error in the legislation. Things like this are written into the law by the exact same people who will later benefit. Lobbyist, Hospital admin, legislative aide, it’s a merry go round, just like generals and the defense companies.
It is bullshit.
Seeing that hospitals are almost all giant conglomerates, I’m about as inclined to feel as sorry for them as I am insurance companies.
I have been hearing this my entire life, at least since before the last couple dozen trillion dollars were added to the national debt.

Blase added that hospital prices have skyrocketed, growing three times the rate of inflation and twice the rate of worker wages over the past 25 years. He pointed to a recent Paragon report on hospital pricing.
“Hospital productivity is very low and poorly designed government subsidy programs incentivize hospitals to be inefficient,” he said. “Much of the recent growth is on overhead and not direct patient care.”
Hospitals say they want to combat waste and fraud, but CMS is going too far.
We’ll get clean, but not yet.

“Breast augmentation and tummy tucks have remained at the same percentage since 1999 (0.09 percent and 0.05 percent, respectively), with only eyelid lifts increasing—all still less than 0.1 percent of the population. To put that in context, the amount of people going under the knife each year for any given procedure is in the ballpark of how many people have two differently colored eyes (0.06 percent) and how many people’s major organs are mirrored in a reverse position (0.01 percent). More Americans watch The Bachelorette (0.7 percent).”
