What appeared to be an unfounded rumor spread by a distributor with a TwiX following turned out to be true. Ruger is discontinuing pretty much their entire product line at the end of the year. Now there is a ton of speculation the Italians did this to sell more Ubertis or something. I’m not going there. I am however, familiar enough with the gun community to know how they will react in time. That being there will be a “pre-26” premium on used Rugers all the FUDDS will add on, and foolish FUDDS will of course pay it. Whether or not this is a permanent suspension or just moving production elsewhere pretty much means my beloved SR1911 is a collector’s item. Which means I am now in the market for a new .45. I’m not going to sell it of course, so the 1911 problem remains sovled, therefore I am looking for something more…modern.
Last Saturday after the gym I tried out a Sig P220, an HK45 Tactical, an HK45c, an FN 545 and the most vile, impure of all: the Glock 21.
Yeah, its a toss up between the Glock and HK45c. The Glock I can probably find a police trade in at J&G, and I think I’ve proven I can trick out a Glock. The HK45c however pushes a ton of buttons for me. First world problems will persist until told otherwise but for now, the 1911 will remain greased and loaded.
¡enlaces!
*Bong rip*. Nah, Trump can’t just like, change like the name of a state, man.

*Bong rip* He like, totally can’t just like, claim another trade deal, man.
Enough of that.
The Coast Guard gives up a search off the coast of Baja America.
Have any of you ever seen The Omen, an old Gregory Peck movie that turned into a series of scary ass movies featuring meddling priests getting killed in terrifying ways?
Maduro pleads not guilty. He’s a shitbag but even I think the artist did them dirty.
The debate between Lula and Bolsonaro o Menor created one of the more entertaining news cycles in years. The verbal jabs, Lula smacking tables, Bolsonaro doing the Chad move of being attractive and standing behind Lula, lobbing insults at Bolsonaro being in prison, insults for putting Bolsonaro in prison, calling Bolsonaro a retard. This whole thing resulted in Lula stomping off with Bolsonaro dancing on national television.
Meanwhile Lula is going for whatever based vote isn’t going to Bolsonaro o Menor:

Anyways, here’s a tune. Enjoy your Tuesday!

Hey I own an early G21 and love it!
I more concerned about .22lr Ruger products, but no mentions there.
Hey I own an early G21 and love it!
Hmmm, good feedback.
While I am generally of the opinion that the only Ruger worth real money is the No. 1 (preferable in a elephant sized caliber) the Mk1 and Mk2 pistols are decent.
Rescuers saved 16 of those who were on board, including several who had suspected shark bites, the Coast Guard said. Crews spent nearly four days looking for survivors before ending the search late Sunday.
“The thing about a shark, Chief — he’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes… like a doll’s eyes.”
For some chaos drop “New” from the name. Go further and also drop it from other states.
I agree with our host that you have to be high as a kite to believe Donald is serious about renaming New Mexico.
While New America is just dumb, New Mexico is also kind of a dumb name. Its not really a new Mexico, its just a piece of the old one.
I think they should rename it “Not Mexico”. You don’t even need to change the postal abbreviation.
Time to stock up on Ruger magazines I guess.
I’ve not looked into not but someone must be making Mini 14s conversions to take AR mags.
I have 3rd party mags for the mini-14. They work pretty well. That platform is well supported.
I also have a PC9. All my mags for that are Ruger. However, you can use an adapter to take glock mags. Except, I don’t own glock. So that doesn’t appeal to me.
None that run reliably. And the Mini-14 isn’t a good enough gun to be worth the third-party development. I’d just stock up on Ruger factory magazines, or sell the thing and buy an AR.
Kinnath, if you have aftermarket Mini-14 magazines that function reliably, then buy yourself a lottery ticket, because you may be the luckiest man in Christendom.
Most of my mags are Ruger. I have some that are not. I have not had problems with them yet.
Yeah. I’ve got a stack of Ruger mags for mine.
One more gun I’ve never fired in my pile.
ES is absolutely right about Mini-14s. They always had a reputation of not be the most accurate rifle, and with the AR platform being so common, have, as the Brits say, been made redundant.
Can you make it through all 45 minutes of this batshittery?
He’s dumb enough to fall for the trap they set, just for jerks like him.
Staged
Eh, I like this version better:

“Medicinal marijuana works…”
OK shoeless crazy guy, go on.
He seems nice.
“DRAG HURTS PEOPLE”
lol
Fight hate with not hate. I like it. The guy probably doesn’t even realize which one he is.
No.
Some Fudd must want my GP100.
I’m never getting rid of mine.
I was just looking at Gemini Customs the other day…
I’ve never sold a gun and likely won’t.
It was my day before the Brady Bill gun purchase, at 15. Family History. Which I had bought something different in hindsite though.
I have the 6 shot version. Loves it.
I’ve only sold one as I remember but I’ve given 20-25 away. I think 5 are in Alaska, 8 or so in TX. Only a couple were low end that I bought because they were cheap. I’m not sure I even tried them before I lost them in the boating accident. I don’t have a shotgun now.
Omen 3, God 0.
Is that some sort of artistic license about dictators getting their necks stretched?
What I thought was a feral cat returned wearing a collar. Maybe my wife will worry less when it doesn’t show up for a few days.
I vote Kriss Vector with an FRT.
I would love one of those. Once I finish my conquest of Mexico, and possible acquire fuck you money I will pick one up.
Go big, or go home. Korth mongoose .44

I waited too long to send mine to Kriss and have it converted to an SBR.
All sold out and booked up. Dang it.
“Check back later…”
Kris Kross-approved.
I shall wear my pants backwards when I get the short barrel on it and the giggle switch installed.
Rob Sand pulled out of the debate for the governor’s office.
It seems his wife’s brother was killed in an auto accident in the last couple of days.
I suppose this means that he’d hand the office over the Lt Governor when family emergencies happen while he’s in office.
Such a tender-hearted man. What would we do without him?
I haven’t seen someone care this much about their brother-in-law since Beau Biden’s widow.
Regarding Sand – I did think Lahn’s campaign was very classy through this – they immediately sent a message about the loss, called for a moment of silence at a campaign event, and also were very gracious regarding Rob’s cancellation of Wednesday’s debate.
I had not seen the response from Lahn.
I only caught the headline in the news today.
As I mentioned earlier, my first article on rebuilding an old bike posts at 7 CST tonight. Come make fun of kinnath’s youthful decisions.
I look forward to it!
Not making fun of your decisions, but reading the article.
Both is acceptable.
Fine tuning the narrative
In a letter last week to faculty leaders and obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press, Jane Doe gave a secondhand account of a conversation from November 2024, shortly after she reported the alleged assault. The president of her sorority told her that Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff had questioned Jane Doe’s delay in reporting the alleged assault, which the sorority leader interpreted as casting doubt on her story.
“President Kotlikoff’s initial response was along the lines of, ‘Why did she wait so long to report it?’” Jane Doe wrote in the letter. She said the conversation made her less confident that the administration could handle what happened with the sensitivity and fairness she expected.
Cornell’s dean of faculty, however, offered a different account of the conversation. In an email sent Tuesday to faculty senators and verified by the AP, professor Chris Schaffer said another official who was present at the conversation recalled that Kotlikoff asked why bystanders, not Jane Doe herself, didn’t report the alleged assault sooner through the school’s anonymous tip line, especially since the allegations were already circulating on social media.
Schaffer said he delayed sharing Jane Doe’s letter with faculty senators until he could get another account of the conversation. He said he forwarded the letter to university lawyers, who passed it on to an independent team investigating Cornell’s response.
Just believe her truth and lived experience. Anything less is just another gang rape trauma.
you really need to train them on sensitivity, i hear groups of seven work best
Why does anyone give a crap when the plaintiff in a civil suit says she heard from a friend that one of the defendants said something incriminating?
Her letter, transmitted through her attorney, comes as Cornell faculty consider a resolution declaring no confidence in the university administration’s ability to address what some faculty members have described as an “ongoing crisis” of sexual assault on campus.
A rapedemic? Those poor helpless little girls must be worn out.
Cornell and Ithaca are such a roiling cauldron of MAGA patriarchy that I had to leave for the sake of my sanity. After three years I could feel the toxic masculinity all around me turning me into someone I didn’t recognize anymore.
You looked in the mirror and Steve Smith looked back?
It turned you straight?
The toxic masculinity wasn’t that powerful.
Nooooooooooooooo Ruger! Most of my nonexistent collection is Ruger. What are we going to use besides the 10/22 for plinking and tacticool upgrades. I’m hiding my Mk IV where no non submarine can find it. I also wish I would have never sold my Mini14 tactical. Especially now with the sbr versions.
Something something athwart history crying STOP
A few months ago, I was surprised to find myself using the term “beautiful hatred” to describe the nationwide revolt against datacenters, Flock cameras, AI, and tech corporations and the oligarchs (or broligarchs) they’ve spawned. It is beautiful because behind fierce opposition to a destructive force is something you’re trying to protect from destruction, something you care about, even love. Behind this revolt against big tech is concern about many things, from the climate to democracy to mental health and humanity itself.
Change is scary. Progress is bad.
Pic of the author checks out.
Like the Trump administration, the tech overlords have proceeded on the assumption they can ignore or override the will of the people. The will of the people is in the process of proving them wrong, at least to some extent, and the midterms will be, among other things, a referendum on the GOP’s alignment with predatory tech giants over the public they’re supposed to serve and, arguably, humanity itself.
Que?
*bangs space-alien-to-pidgin-english translator on desk*
People hate the techbro mindslop. That’s why they have eagerly immersed themselves in it through every permutation and update.
All those tech bro workers would be more productive tilling soil for the collective anyway.
Fish or cut bait
Kirby’s wealth tax comments stirred a backlash from some national Republican figures.
“How audacious from a guy that didn’t even build @united and makes $32 million a year. If he feels that strongly he could simply cut a check,” Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry wrote on X. He linked to the US Bureau of Fiscal Service which oversees an account where public donations are accepted to shrink the national debt.
“Let’s see you step up and place your money where your mouth is!” Landry said.
