The first CFP rankings are out and there are some real head-scratchers on there. But I suppose it’ll all sort itself out with a bunch of head to head matchups of highly ranked teams coming up. And the first team out has their fate in their own hands and shouldn’t have put themselves in this situation to begin with, so they have nobody to blame but themselves. The Canadiens blew a four goal lead and the frogs are not happy. And across the pond, ManUre managed a huge come from behind win in the UCL, which will probably result in their coach keeping his job for a little while longer as they look at a bunch of names ahead of them in the domestic table. Right, moving on…
It’s a bloodbath. There’s no other way to put it.
Maybe they ought to leave her a length of rope. They’d be doing the world a favor.
Why am I just finding out about this now? Gotta map out the nearest McD’s/Popeyes locations and pair this with a McRib.
Oh, no! Whatever will they do? I fear these kids will lose access to all those bot-boosted results and endless paid-for content.
Wait, they were surprised? This was as predictable as a sunrise in the east.
That’ll teach him! Oh, wait. He has no job. Guess they’ll have to release someone from prison to make room for him.
Feed him! Before he gets hangry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s hangry.
Nope! Nope nope nope. I want nothing to do with this or what it will undoubtedly lead to.
Some stereotypes exist for a reason. And they’ll remain undefeated for the foreseeable future.
And I’ll finish with what appears to be a silver lining. When even the most retarded people aren’t willing to go full retard, there’s hope.
Actually, I’ll finish with some music. And some really good music at that. At least that’s my opinion. Enjoy them both.
And enjoy this lovely Wednesday, dear friends.

Disappointing, but not entirely surprising voting results.
My biggest disappointment is losing our local rep Mackenzie.
KY did its job but where I am being so close to Cincinnati, that will eventually spill over as more people sell of their farm land and we flood the area to be Cincinnati South.
For the first month of the Iran war I woke up every morning about 3 am with the sense of impending doom, not for the war per se, but from the political fallout. And here we are.
That really was a politically stupid move.
Sadly, these political repercussions will probably be the least of the problems coming out of that stupidity.
That IS surprising. Perhaps the voters are not as swayed by the warming comfort of the collective as, well, every other vote indicated.
We won’t know for another couple of weeks.
Late ballot dump incoming!
Yeah, wait until Cali is done
countingmanufacturing ballots over next several weeks before we call it.Well, Prop 42 which negates Prop 40, has a large lead – one that probably cannot be overcome even with the grossest of electoral engineering.

I had to finish on a positive note.

RIP Texas.
More proof that leftists can’t make the connection between the policies they vote for ad the consequences of those policies.
Very accurate, at least the Florida part.
We still voted red and got an increased exemption from property taxes for homeowners.
Team Red did do their best to put up criminals and idiots though, so I expect next election to go very differently unless Byron is actually any good. Faint hope there.

also, i am guessing data centers and Iran war are the things that swung it.
that and the skyrocketing Jew hate
You mean announcing at the last minute we aren’t giving Israel $4bn (that we will still actually give them for reasons) wasn’t going to sway the election?
Data centers. Of which there are thousands already, and which have been around for decades. But allofasudden they are portals to hell or something.
Propaganda works. Like with gas prices and affordability. I guess the old saying that nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people is still true.
Yeah, look at all the propaganda about the alleged good things immigrants bring and how we’ll need them anyway with the demographic changes of aging.
No serious discussion of what we won’t be able to do without those data centers, despite stories about AI driving advances in, for example, medicine.
Data centers. Of which there are thousands already, and which have been around for decades. But allofasudden they are portals to hell or something.
The real issues are size, scale, location, and the sneaky tactics being used.
Regarding the first two, traditional data centers merely sip on resources compared to the new big AI ones. It’s a huge change in resource management, and it’s not being treated as such because the local governments are just being bought out.
The location has shifted, too. Instead of the exurbs of major cities, they’re starting to put these things in legit rural areas, where nobody uses the product and where resource costs are tightly managed already.
Finally, I had a client in my company come to me with a news article and ask whether we should get away from doing NDAs. The article was describing how the AI companies go into a town, force the local governments to sign NDAs, and then do the planning and rezoning under that NDA so that the locals have no idea a datacenter is coming until they break ground. Evidently this is a common practice and now there’s some pushback because it “stokes negative community sentiments.”
force the local governments to sign NDAs
How, exactly, do they force local governments to do so?
How, exactly, do they force local governments to do so?
Money, you’ll get all this money, but first we need to you to sign this…
Not sure how the works with state open records laws, but we have attorneys paid for with town dollars to figure that out so no biggie.
How, exactly, do they force local governments to do so?
Force is a strong word, but they hang a huge jobs and revenue creating project over their heads and say they’ll move on to the next county if the people don’t sign the NDA.
Frankly, I don’t think it should be legal for the local government officials to sign NDAs in their official capacity.
https://www.npr.org/2026/08/27/nx-s1-5879528/data-center-nda-disclosure-louisiana
Frankly, I don’t think it should be legal for the local government officials to sign NDAs in their official capacity.
That is really shady.
Indeed. Then again, I also want ALL government proceedings to be public record. No closed door executive session bullshit.
“Frankly, I don’t think it should be legal for the local government officials to sign NDAs in their official capacity.”
I had no idea this was a thing.
There is no way that would hold up in court. Surely it would break all sorts of open government laws, probably their oaths of office… Crazy.
I’m gonna blow my brains out from listening to some of these freaks like Abdul and Talarico flapping their gums non-stop.

*peeks head into chat*
Pssst. America is retarded.
*dips back out*
Yes. Yes it is.
The American public in general is stupid and has a very short memory.
Trump’s story arc over the last 2 years is really something. He built a coalition, won the electoral and popular vote, along with the Senate and House. He had it all.
Then he spent the last year and a half systematicly destroying that coalition. After surrounding himself with a horrible Cabinet, he ran off anyone who tried to warn him. Broke just about every promise made – doing the opposite in some cases, particularly the wars. He even insulted and mocked his former supporters.
This is a case study on how to lose political power.
Its hard to remember how optimistic I was at the beginning of his term, especially with DOGE.
I still say its mainly the Repub Congress that is partially-to-largely responsible for this by not giving the Repub base a reason to vote for them. The gullibility of the public is a given, of course, but the tenacity of the DemOp Media in pounding their propaganda home on how bad the economy is (its not), how inflation is out of control (its not) and nobody can afford nuthin’ (they can) paid off.
Trump’s biggest weakness as a retail politician is his addiction to the endorphin/ego rush of big rallies. They don’t move a single vote, but he gets to be a star.
I think the really bad news is downballot – with the Dems taking control of so many formerly Repub states, they have the election machinery, and that means the likelihood of a Dem President next time around just shot through the roof. And that’s where the power really is.
For the presidency bid, I see them pushing massive amounts of bills in front of Trump so he can veto them.
Then the media can run on how Trump is in the way of progress for two years.
DOGE was killed by Bessant.
For some reason that’s never been explained, Trump nominated George Soros’ personal accountant to be the Secretary of Treasury.
in the way of progress for two years. – that is in 9/10 cases a good thing.
DOGE was only authorized for 120 days, because you can’t wish new FedGov departments into existence — THANK GOD.
In that 120 days, it killed off USAID.
DOGE is the most successful anti-Leviathan program that has ever existed in the history of the US. But no, it didn’t give you a pony.
My hope is that the Dems will get high on their own farts again and think people voted for them and their ideas and not against Trump.
They will push for lots of their silly trans shit and stupid impeachment attempts.
Hopefully in two years the public will be ready to kick them to the curb and elect the GOP again.
Possibly impeaching Trump might give JD a real good shot to demonstrate his Prez skillz?
DOGE is the most successful anti-Leviathan program that has ever existed in the history of the US.
And everything it accomplished will be undone within days of the Ds getting the executive.
The Rs (really the White House…. Congress has been a disaster) get credit for coming out with a head of steam. However, they lost momentum very quickly and didn’t get anything permanently resolved.
JD a real good shot to demonstrate his Prez skillz – so garbage?
“how inflation is out of control (its not) and nobody can afford nuthin’ (they can) paid off.”
Inflation *right now* might not be bad, but the historic numbers aren’t good, and people are still feeling that everyday.
Trump took on the responsibility for high prices the second he went to war because people vote based on the gas price. He’s an idiot and the repubs are idiots for not reigning him in.
“For some reason that’s never been explained, Trump nominated George Soros’ personal accountant to be the Secretary of Treasury.”
Let me put my very small thinking cap on…
DOGE was killed by Bessant.
Oh, don’t leave Congress out of that, please. That’s where our biggest problems start.
Hard disagree. Yes, the easy stuff will just be reinstated. That’s always been the case. But something like USAID (and very likely many other things) was dismantled with thousands of contracts cancelled. You can’t just snap your fingers and regain that. It will take decades to rebuild.
Meh.
1. Trump rode an economic wave that he was responsible for to both victory and defeat. His COVID money dumps guaranteed inflation under Biden, and the refusal to turn off the money printers ensured it would continue.
2. Americans HATE losing wars.
indeed, the Iran war was gross stupidity. but the hatred of tariffs and data centers were the drivers of this fuck up
Well he and the Reps deserved to lose but the Dems didn’t deserve to win but in a two party system that’s what you get. Maybe they won’t be such hubristic shitbags the next time they’re in power if there is a next time.
Don’t take it too badly though, if the Dems can be counted on for anything it’s overreaching and turning the American people off once again.
Except as RC pointed out, the Dems now control the election machinery in formerly Republican states, so it may not matter if they overreach and turn people off.
Yeah, but they tend to inflict far more damage before getting voted out.
Well he and the Reps deserved to lose but the Dems didn’t deserve to win but in a two party system that’s what you get. Maybe they won’t be such hubristic shitbags the next time they’re in power if there is a next time.
I mean, isn’t that the reverse of what happened in 2024? Soon it will reverse again.
Dems now control the election machinery
Iowa flipped 3 of 4 House seats to D without any chicanery. If ALL you can do is blame corrupt shenanigans, you aren’t paying attention to actual voters.
Looks like Florida Man is the last sane person in the country.
Let’s see how I did.
I’ll predict that the Democrats win the US House.
Got this. But this was like predicting the Sun would rise in the East.
I’m not sure about the US Senate.
Dems got the Senate.
When the Democrats win, the usual suspects will claim the Democrats cheated instead of blaming Trump for handing the election to Democrats.
So far, I’m wrong on this. I saw some of the overnight comments blaming Trump.
NH specific predictions: Kelly Ayotte will win reelection. NH’s US reps will stay Democrat.
All correct. But also easy.
John Sununu might pull off a win for the US Senate but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chris Pappas win.
Sununu lost.
Republicans will continue to control the Executive Council.
Results are still coming in according to WMUR’s website, but this looks like I got it wrong.
Republicans will lose seats in both chambers in the legislature but will continue to control the legislature.
Results are still coming in according to WMUR’s website, but I was really wrong. This is a bloodbath even on the state level. Democrats might have a supermajority in the state House. It’s unclear to me looking at the results that have come in if Democrats have a simple or super majority in the state Senate.
The property tax cap will do well. The cap is on the ballot across the state but only takes effect at a school district level if the school district has a supermajority (60%) vote in favor of the cap. I think it will receive between 50% and 60% vote in most districts in the state with only a handful breaking the 60% mark.
Results are still coming in according to WMUR’s website. They are giving town by town results. For a school district that spans multiple towns, the cap only takes effect if the cap has a 60% vote across the school district. WMUR isn’t reporting that roll-up information at this time. But, on the town by town basis for those towns that have results on WMUR’s website, the overwhelming majority of those towns said yes at 50%+, and surprisingly many Democrat towns did so. More towns than I expected voted 60%+.
My town is easy as the school district is not shared with other towns and my town voted 60%+ yes on the cap, so my property taxes are capped unless an override passes at 60%+.
WIthout even looking, I’m quite sure not a single office changed hands here in NM.
Property tax limit with Dems in control will create a demand for an income tax.
Hopefully the dems pack the court and take your guns away so you stop looking down on gunless Europeans.
“You wore out your welcome,
with random precision…”
Nope! Nope nope nope.
Maybe there is a Heidi Klum inside
Surely Trump learned from this historic rejection and will adjust?
https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/2117824749187277032
On brand.
Its really a repeat of Obama, Clinton, Reagan, etc mid-terms at the Federal level.
Down ballot….im not so sure.
He just cancelled deportation flights, so yes?
The idea that Orange Man has ever been other than a late 20th C. NYC democrat is baffling in its persistence.
He wasn’t on the ballot but people voted against him anyway while many others just stayed home. It’s good to see he’s still stupid enough to draw the wrong conclusions from the situation though.
Yeah, most of the ads in the locals here were all about Trump. Even the Rs tried to point out where they opposed Trump.
The problem with the Rs that did oppose Trump is they opposed the wrong things. They didn’t oppose the Iran fiasco or the tariff over-reaches.
I don’t really wanna experience the glut of smug bullshit from the Left. Trump et al ‘deserved’ to lose, but the ‘winners’ are far worse, IMO, particularly what they represent for the direction and ‘mood’ of the country.
Well. Onward. Me thinky it won’t be fun, but how frequently is it?
It’s funny they think this was about them, not Republican failures.
They’ll spent the next 2 years reminding everyone why we hate them.
“I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

As per usual, Bad Kitty has some trenchant remarks.
Yep – what I said but better, and without capitalization.
Dems act like assholes for 2 years. Either Republicans learn something and recover, or they don’t.
This is just “voter turnout matters.” It’s also a question that can be settled empirically — was (R) voter turnout actually so much lower than normal, was (D) turnout actually so much higher than normal, and/or did (I) voters decide they were sick of this shit?
I am totally sick of this shit. I 100% agree that the Republicans have zero to offer. They haven’t had anything to offer for years, except slow decline. The lesson they’re gonna learn from this sadly, is that they need to go back to slow decline. They will not learn that shrinking size and scope of government is popular, or to control the deficit, or anything else. We are now stuck in a shitty war between gay communists and stupid conservatives.
The one thing bad kitty got right is that the pendulum of politics is swinging back. It just won’t swing back to the Republicans. It is definitely swinging back to conservative, and the crazy shit. The Democrats are gonna do in the next two years are going to help that. I don’t know what is going to replace them in their stupidity, but something in our lifetimes will it’s definitely not Maga. Trump wrecked his own concepts.
I was watching some analysis last night, and there was some exit polling analysis that pointed (in my opinion) to the Is (particularly the young independents) switching en masse. They were couching it as some of the R base making a protest vote against the betrayal, but I don’t think the R base is as big as they think it is. My understanding is that this wasn’t a turnout issue. It’s hard to do an apples to apples comparison with ‘24 , though.
“the swamp donekys and socialistas are on the wrong side of the overton – society is swinging back and that swing does not stop. those who try to reverse it get woodchippered. ” – lol to be young and optimistic
“no one wants libtardian woke 2.0 back, we’re moving on.\’ – to woke 3.0 and beyond
this sets up the potential for a massive red win in 2028 when it matters. – if there is ever a real election again
“this is the happy vision.” – hence not gonna happen. but one can dream
“the GOP has two years to learn to stand for something.” – right
anyway way to long to read all especially in that format.
“the unhappy one is the GOP fails to learn from this and the 2028 election has some “safe” loser with the charisma of mitch mconnell and the courage of john boehner running for president.”
Very poignant line.
Effin Marco Rubio is the one getting the most positive sentiment from the GOP base.
I I’ll have an extra free morning in November 2028 if that comes to fruition. 🤮
That wellspring of charisma DeSantis will be the Chosen One and, yes, he’ll lose. As for Rubio, I’m sure he’ll try but he won’t get the nomination because Trump Inc is tainted at this point.
That’s a good point.
The Dems have a full slate of pie-in-sky dreams that will destroy the country but it’s a plan.
The elephants have… nothing. Well, Donald pushed some of it but his current team couldn’t care less about any of it.

The Crisis In Poland
https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2026/11/the-crisis-in-poland/
1) The first thing to say about Poland is that the current crisis is unlikely to turn violent
4) As usual in Poland, both sides are entirely unreasonable.
5) The EU is at the heart of the division.
6) Ukraine is central to this. Simply put, the nationalist right has had its fill of Zelensky, whereas Tusk is a devotee of the von der Leyen/Kallas/Merz war-hawk line.
7) This was an attempted coup.
8) I expect this to fizzle out.
It’s not like the EU had an election nullified and the winner tossed in jail.
The Brazilification of Europe continues.
If you’re talking Romania, I think the person in second would have won the run-off anyway. They didn’t need to annul the election.
The person in second was not the romanian establishments preffered candidata
Uffda.
The national results were bad, but Minnesoda decided to go full DFL. Once again, no Republican won statewide office. Even Brother Keith was easily re-elected. His opponent never made an issue out of the fact that he pardoned a child rapist to shield him from deportation.
Worse, the DFL won both houses of the state legislature. They once again have the Trifecta. Let’s see what nonsense Special K comes up with. It will be hard to top King Walz’s turning a $17B surplus into a deficit, but I’m sure she’ll try.
I haven’t had the time to look at the breakdown in voting, but I’m going to guess that once again Minneapolis alone provided the margins of victory for most of the statewide races.
BUT PEGGY IS MINNESODA’S FIRST NATIVE AMERICAN SENATOR!!!!!!!
A whole slate of communists who proudly hate the country got elected. At this point I want them to keep pushing their hatred so the normies get a good eyeful of what they just voted for.

Take it to the hope, y’all, and you, Ev. Feeling good about the Title Paper Dig paperwork ‘factory.’
Big things, to feel confident. Fuck The People for their predictable voting sway. Well. People be People.
Paperwork factories are so much nicer to work in than paperwork mines. Good luck!
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill warned local port officials and terminal operators against accepting Russian diesel, saying those shipments break federal law.
Because given NJ’s response to the “undocumented” Sherill is steadfast in enforcing federal law in every way she can. I’m sure MSM will get right on confirming that.
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/new-jersey-governor-warns-ports-against-accepting-russian-diesel-2026-11-03/
I would not be surprised to see her back off on that, now that the Dems won, so they can say that they are bringing down diesel prices.
Although that may be giving her too much credit for being able to think ahead.
It’s a miserable morning, but I had a smile walking in downtown Charleston where I spotted a large Don’t Tread on Me flag hanging from a home near rainbow row. They also had matching postcards in a box that said “take one”
Little consolation, but something.
I love that area. It’s beautiful, and you’re practically tripping over history.
Looks like there is no other news.
My only real big concern will be the concerted effort to stifle innovation, specifically SpaceX as Texas will now be actively hostile to his intended cadence of Starship flights.
Who needs inovation
Yes, and a serious attempt to imprison Elon.
Nah, the left won’t kill the golden goose. Oh wait, they totally will.
Re: College Football.
This is an ideal time to experiment with a new structure to deal with the increasingly lucrative business of college sports.
1. The SEC Champion will be named the National Champion.
2. The next eight conferences in terms of annual revenue will be the second tier (Division I)
3. The bottom eight teams in the SEC will be relegated to these Division I conferences, as determined by projected viewership numbers. Each Division I conference champion will be promoted to the SEC.
4. A similar procedure can be used to create Div II, Dive III etc. conferences. It will probably be advantageous that each division have fewer teams than the division above them allowing for more drama in the form of churn.
Counterproposal – College football is to be reduced to an intermural sport with no spectators, merch, broadcasts, or scholarships.
You can’t stop people from choosing to watch or live-stream it.
Re: World Series Beisbol
Open it up to the world. Japan, Dominican Republic, and Cuba all have strong baseball cultures. I’d like to see if they can compete.

Will he get the same sympathy as Lindsay Clancy?
Unlike Clancy he actually committed suicide. Somehow Clancy, a nurse, was unable to cut her wrists sufficiently to bleed out and supposedly thought a jump from only the second story was likely to kill her. I would guess that the paralysis was not part of the plan.
So pawalled WP article on the Binance hack.
In September, a software engineer for the cryptocurrency exchange Binance got an interview offer for a new opportunity.
The first interview, live by video, seemed above board. So did the second, conducted on a popular social chat app, where the Binance engineer spoke with his prospective new employer’s purported CEO. Then came time for a test — a standard feature in technical interviews — where the engineer was asked to download code onto his work computer.
Dude decided to take another job opportunity interview on his work computer? Work computer gave the same dude enough privileges to do this?

I think I am spending too much time in silo’d spaces, as i did not see last night coming at all.
The media all said it was coming. I had just assumed the media was lying as usual.
Looks like none of us were surprised by last night. Over a year ago people were warning the R’s about this election. At one point Trump appointed some kind of team to address affordability. Then a week later he bombs Iran, and suddenly gas prices weren’t THAT bad. The R’s just needed to put in a C+ effort and they couldn’t be bothered to do that.
My wife opened social media for about 10 seconds and then decided she couldn’t handle all the obnoxious BLUE WAVE celebrations. I’m not hearing anything about how the Dems are going to improve anything. It’s 100% GET TRUMP, from the candidates down to the voters. All the Dems can really do is have hearings and flood the evening news with sound bytes. I am hoping they are dumb enough to think people really want their commie woke agenda and they proclaim it loud and proud.
