It used to be I just needed a good password to log-in at work.
Then they decided 2-factor authorization was the way to go. OK I can have it call my work phone.
Then it had to be text to my personal phone.
Now they IT won’t accept either phone or text authorization. It has to be through Microsoft Authenticator, a fucking app I have to install on my personal phone. I guess if I lose my phone I can’t work.
This encroachment of work into my personal life has to stop. If you want to use my phone for work, pay my phone bill. Or buy me a work-only cellphone.

I managed to dodge MS Authenticator, but I would have bought a burner before I put it on my personal phone.
Allowing MFA apps was the limit of what I would allow on a personal phone. Far too many of my coworkers didn’t understand why I wouldn’t allow the company to remotely wipe my phone in order to have MORE access to my work emails.
Shit I just remembered my work supposedly offers a monthly stipend for that sort of thing. I have the authenticator app but I fear it might also require getting work emails on my phone and that ain’t happening.
That’s the deal at my work.
I’m happy to forgo $50/mo to avoid that shit. Easy cost benefit analysis there.

I have to use MS Authenticator since we switched to the MS suite for work. I have a $40 prepaid phone I bought from Walmart and never activated that I use for all that shit (I had to use PingID, which is substantially the same thing, for my old job). My personal device has no Google services, and both apps require them.
OT – tomorrow I go in for chemo round 3 of 4. Rounds 1 and 2 sucked bigly, nausea, pain, fatigue, shakes, tinnitus, balance issues, loss of taste buds, losing of mustache and goatee, loss of scrot hair, and life just sucking in general.
This one will be better!
At least it is only one more after this, and it may keep me alive a few more years (or may not.)

Every president (and indeed virtually every leader in the western world) since Reagan decried Iran as a thorn in the side of the world. Every one of them said theyâd do something about Iran. Not a single one did shit except Obama who stupidly sent them planes filled with cash while they pinky swore theyâd be good. History beckoned.
Iran was fresh off of the Maduro capture, which was flawless and took all of 2 hours to completely eliminate an enemy of freedom and launchpad for the likes of Russia, Iran, and especially China, just a few hours away. This made him drunk with hubris.
Iâm thinking Trump thought Iran wouldnât be any more difficult than Venezuela, and the Israelis stroked his war boner just enough for him to think he could do it again and be a world hero for finally ridding us of that particular scourge.
Earlier this year, Scott Horton had someone on his show who basically said the inside scoop was what you’ve laid out with the added factor that one of Trump’s advisors had told him that Iran would be like Venezuela.
That’s… deranged.
