In yet another tale from the Korean-built washing machine I refuse to let die….

I need to locate a Rotor Position Sensor for an appliance built in 2010. Initial calls to various supply stores in the area suggest I might as well pay half what they are charging and order it online if I have to wait until Thursday regardless of where I get it.

When I say I refuse to let it die, I mean it.  This is the second time in ten years I replaced this sensor and I had to hog tie it to the motor windings because the plastic mounts are too short.  What do you want me to do? Buy a $19 part on Amazon, or spend $1500 on a new washer /dryer combo?

Yes, my autism necessitates I buy both.

For the links!

Mexico has well regarded private hospitals that accept cash for staying at what can only be described as a cross between a hospital and Club Med, but always remember you get what you pay for.

I’m sure Mexico raising their minimum wage will harm absolutely nobody.  I’m sure of it because they will simply find work in the US and send it home regardless of the inflated local currency.

I could make a joke about Bitcoin not fixing it, but it looks more like the counterargument anarchists make in motion.  Namely, the claim anarchy is unable to solve societal ills is irrelevant given the present system cannot solve it either.

*Dons tinfoil hat*  Is it really bird flu, or another oil spill? *Doffs tinfoil hat*

Maybe Costa Rica can try what Lula is doing, which is just pander to them and hope they stop being a pain in the ass?

Elsewhere in Brazil…I’m beginning to wonder if the people insisting they’re the only ones working actually work.

Here’s a tune.  Kick Tuesday in the balls!
