When I started thinking about learning how to airbrush, I told myself I wouldn’t actually buy one until I’d cleaned up the space I intended to use and got the storage and workspace prepared.
Of course that was the cue for temptation to roll in. I spotted an entry-level Iwata airbrush at Hobby Lobby for less than what Amazon was asking. (From what I’ve researched so far, Iwata is one of the more quality brands out there). I forced myself to not buy it, but temptation gnaws at me…
You inspired me to pull out my airbrush the other day. It needed to be cleaned so I watched some YouTube about it and did that, and I plan on painting some this weekend.
I got mine on sale. Blick used to send a coupon in the email every week, and I figured out their pattern. I waited for the 40% off coupon and used that. Unfortunately they don’t email coupons anymore.

As a particle physicist myself, i think she overplays how good the Standard Model is — it still doesn’t explain things like the existence of neutrino mass or dark matter, which is why people are trying to “complicate” the Standard Model. The SM does extremely well, but it’s not a complete explanation of the world as we understand it.
I thought dark matter was something postulated to explain away a math discontinuity, but had not been proven to exist or be the actual cause of the math issue.
No, it’s needed to explain galaxy rotation curves, i.e., how fast galaxies rotate at different distances from the center, among other things.
