I may be an outlier here in thinking it’s a military action. In my mind at least, calling it a terrorist attack lessens the seriousness of it and puts pressure on Israel to respond as of it was from a few isolated individuals instead of an act of war by an enemy state.
There are no ethics involved in calling it a military operation. Rather it points out that these attacks were carried out by the trained military of a state actor, under orders from that the state, and funded by that state. Just because the state is evil and their military intentionally designed to blend in with civilians does not make them terrorists. But it does mean this state is on par with the morality of the worst sort of terrorists. All the more reason to remove Gaza from civilization.

Is she wrong? I don’t know anything about self publishing, and I know you have a lot of experience with it, so, what is her argument?
I do know that the rigamarole around getting from manuscript to acceptance at a publishing house is not the most fun thing in the world, and it chews up and spits out a lot of crap. I also know that it publishes a lot of crap. So, kind of a crap shoot.
For people whose entire writing world depends on a publisher accepting their manuscripts to publish, it’s hell to let go of that (ask me how I know). For people whose entire computer knowledge is pounding out words and sending emails per instructions, it’s very intimidating. For people who are tired of the rigmarole and are willing to find the skills (if they can’t afford to hire it out), it’s for damn sure it’s easier. It’s not EASY. It’s just EASIER.
