Old joke. A guy was suffering from hemorrhoids, and he went to his doctor and got some suppositories.

The next week, he comes in for a checkup and tells the doctor, “Doc, my hemorrhoids are worse than ever! These suppositories aren’t doing anything!”

The doctor takes a look, and says, “What the hell have you been doing with those suppositories, eating them?”

The guy replies, sarcastically, “What do you think I’ve been doing with them, sticking them up my ass?”

        Meh. It’s funnier in person.

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place,

which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.

Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.

Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?

Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?

Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.

Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God’s help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do.

I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.

Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.

“A leftist Canadian woman allegedly slapped a teen who was wearing President Trump-branded clothing on the Jersey Shore over the Fourth of July weekend — before she was arrested and detained by immigration officials.

Kaitlyn E. Tracey, 33, allegedly recorded herself confronting a group of four girls on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk when she became violent on July 3, according to court documents obtained by NJ.com.

Tracey took issue with two of the beachgoers — who are minors — wearing “patriotic colored” sweatpants with the words “Trump” and “ICE” before she struck one of them across the face and body, police alleged.”

    • EvilSheldon

I think it’s just f—ing weird as f— that you want your kids around you all day, every day and all night. And just the socialization.

I mean, I can certainly understand why your kids don’t want to be around you – you’re a spiteful narcissistic SSRI-addicted asshole. But I don’t have those problems. I love spending time with my nieces and nephews, doing things with them, and learning about what they’re into – so they don’t grown up thinking that no one understands them.

        Nice, descriptive, turn(s) of phrase.

I try not be misogynistic, I really do. But it’s hard with all the examples of such retarded behavior from young and not so young women. Remember the mantra, repeat: “Treat people as individuals”.

Maybe it’s the toxicity (another word I hate, but whatever) of social media, perhaps amplifying a signal that was already there and simultaneously increasing the number of retards. I have a very low attack surface for social media to glom onto and the flood of this sort of story black pills me. I can’t imagine growing up where you are exposed to it continuously. It’s a wonder there’s not a much higher percentage of Andrew Tate’s running around.

      • (((Jarflax

The downside of being more solution oriented, as men in general tend to be, is that you can lose sight of what you want your society to be in pursuit of efficient problem solving. The downside of being more relationship oriented, as women tend to be, is that it makes you vulnerable to manipulation by empathy for the ‘underdog’, which ends up with you destroying the very society that gave you the power and security to destroy it. Men come up with abominations like FISA and the Patriot Act because the efficiency of total surveillance in fighting crime and terrorism is too shiny to remember the horror of total surveillance. Women come up with open borders, trans kids, and early release for criminals, because they see someone suffering and do not ask whether they deserve it.

      • UnCivilServant

@Putrid – It helps to remember that it is often the worst people who put the most effort into being the loudest/most visible. You are seeing awfulness because awfulness draws attention to itself.

The normal people just putter along quietly by comparison.

      • EvilSheldon

        *bows, waves to crowd*

It would be easier to treat people as individuals if the left, and increasingly the ‘new’ right, didn’t work so hard at amplifying other people’s opinions instead of having their own…

      • PutridMeat

Thanks (((JarFlax – that’s a very useful framing. When I get into a “the 19th amendment was a mistake” mindset in reaction to some woman in politics espousing some god-awful policy or some woman self-righteously spouting some retarded sentiment, I’m also reminded that, hold on, men have done lots of fucked up things against liberty all on their own. The female-based attack is just a bit newer (or at least more obvious these days) and seemingly unrelenting. It would have taken me at least 10 paragraphs to say what you said and likely a lot less clearly!

      • Q Continuum

I do think that men and women have never really much liked each other. They were forced together by biological compulsion, but that era is ending. I actually think *all* human attachments are becoming vestigial, we’re just in an awkward transitional phase where the technology hasn’t quite caught up.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be around your kids either.

My kids, on the other hand, are a delight. Maybe because they are trained and disciplined to not be hellions, and because they have friends and influences who weren’t born within the same 12 month window.

The socialization component is so tired. Maybe 30 years ago it was a legitimate critique. (It wasn’t, but there was a thread of legitimacy to it) Today? You could literally fill every day and evening with homeschool social activities. Our issue is trying to avoid over socializing and not having any time at home.

Birds of prey show cancelled after vegans’ concern

The description for the event on the Hopetown Darlington website says it is a chance to come “face-to-face with hunters – from majestic owls and powerful eagles to lightning-fast falcons and striking hawks”.

A spokesperson for the Darlington Vegans said the event was not a true educational tool because “they force wild animals to perform unnatural behaviour such as flying to human cues… purely for crowd spectacle”.

They said: “Darlington Vegans, along with North East Animal Rights and Freedom for Animals, are delighted to hear that the upcoming Birds of Prey event to be held at Hopetown has been cancelled.

“Rather than promoting a genuine understanding of raptor ecology, it reinforces the harmful idea that wildlife exists for human exploitation and handling.”
