@Zwak: I lived right next to KFC for a long while, there. Koreans have their own fried chicken places. Might as well be American, like comparing KFC and Popeye’s. I got chicken sandwiches there, from time to time. I’ve long known how much a waste fried chicken is on me, so I never get it at one of ‘those’ places.

I was at a Barnes & Noble in Manhattan and needed to pee. The restrooms were guarded by some dude who could input the 4-digit code for each lock. He let the obvious female in front of me into the female bathroom and immediately moved to the manly bathroom to let me in because I am so manly.
It was all so refreshingly retrograde.

It is impossible for the people who need to accept that to do so as it is anathema to hold certain demographics accountable or to accept that their form of racism is only doing harm.
Jason Arady was an enormously narcissistic personality. You couldn’t make up such delusional lies about your own life without being way up there on the scale. Calling Arady a victim is wrong – he was using the people who gave him his professorship just as they were using him. The only victims in this story were the students who got a substandard education from him, and the taxpayers who had to foot the bill.
It’s not uncommon for narcissists to check out when their lies finally become untenable.
Tropical Storm (for a short time hurricane) Teletubby helped to fill my pool but collapsed energy delivery on Oahu. Yesterday over 250K people lost power, including yours truly. After ~26 hours of no juice, my neighborhood had the power return while I was at work. But power is still off a couple of blocks away and on parts of the Big Island.
I was nice to have candles for a few hours and read by the light of a headlamp. But now that I have the t-shirt for 2026 let’s not repeat it.
I saw something like 42″ of rain dumped on the big island? That’s bonkers.
