Another stupid and meaningless gesture on behalf of the Trump administration that everyone knew was an overreach but it allowed him to pretend he did something meaningful. Whoever’s advising Trump is worthless: this makes him look thinskinned and weak which he is.
And it allows for the credentialed classes to portray themselves as important protectors of democracy.
It wasn’t over reach at all. There is zero right to be front and center in the press room. This judge overstepped, will probably rule for CNN. The appeal will overturn and establish a precedent that the press room functions at the will of the president.
Don’t stop believing, hold onto that feeling but I don’t see it happening. We’ll see I suppose.

The move should have just been to move to back of press pool and never call on them.
The judge will rule that nobody can be excluded, and logic will follow that the press pool will follow a rotation schedule to let every independent news organization under the sun in, greatly diluting the power of the big organizations. That is what I think will happen.
