“Democrats Map Plans to Reverse Trump Actions After Midterms”

      To save their democracy…

Meaning to make it impossible for anyone but democrats to win elections, and where the most corrupt democrat is the one to win. Because their democracy is the corrupt bureaucracy they have created that defrauds tax payers to the tune of $2 trillion a year. See CA or MN for example.

It’s 61 here in TX. Pretty fantastic. Something like a 40 degree drop from 2 weeks ago.

      • Ted S.

I reject the assertion that there can be anything fantastic about Texas.

      • Not Adahn

The people there are miles away better than NYers. Not even close.

      • Ted S.

I didn’t say New Yorkers are fantastic. I mean, *I* am, but I’m sui generis.

Texas get a couple weeks in the spring, and a couple weeks in the autumn when the weather is nice. Makes up for the other 48 weeks of hell.

I can handle the fall we’re having. 60’s/70’s during the day, 40’s and 50’s at night, perfect for sleeping with the window open.

We were heartened that, during today’s argument, the justices rightly questioned whether national and international climate issues can be turned into state tort liability issues simply by changing how the claims are pled.

It’s a goddamn shame that nobody with three neurons to rub together has said “The plaintiff’s claims are ridiculous. Case dismissed — loser pays.”

    • AlexinCT

Total clown show. And they are arguing about how many clowns you can stuff in the VW bug.

    • rhywun

I suspect that three of the supes are going to vote in favor of sending the country back to the Stone Age if given the chance. I have suspicions about a fourth, too. It doesn’t matter that the claims are ridiculous and completely unprovable. We’re running on feels now.

Of course. All you have to do with a progressive is invoke the magic incantation “Clima Mutatio!” and what passes for their brain shuts off.

Supreme Court Appears Split Over Boulder Climate Lawsuit Against Oil Companies

Correct Court Ruling – Federal law does not allow this action in state courts as an end run.

Best Court ruling – Plaintiffs claim but do not prove that Carbon Dioxide drives Climate Change. Plaintiffs claim but do not prove that defendants are a major driver of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Plaintiffs claim but do not prove damages from climate change. Plaintiffs case is dismissed with prejudice. Plaintiffs are ordered to pay all costs of the court and defendants. **Update to proper respondant/appellate designations for whichever filed cert to SCOTUS.

So that Cornell slut that is now crying rape cause she sees a pile of money to be made, Lucy Craig, where does she supposedly fall on the hot vs. crazy matrix? I saw a pic and I am pretty sure she was a top candidate in the danger zone. I wonder when they will interview her dad?

She can clean up pretty nice, but natural redheads get an automatic +2 on the crazy scale.

It irritates the fuck out of me that nearly everyone is still calling her “Jane Doe” even though her name is now public. It prevalidates her unproven claim to be a rape victim. At least I’m seeing a few people calling her Train Doe, which pleases me.

      • AlexinCT

Speaking of which, I have seen comments that the guy identified as Matthew, actually is some middle eastern dude that uses that name in the US. And that the other 2 participants were also non white…

If this happens to be correct, what are all the Karens, now all fapping to this misogynism story hoping to hurt honkey dudes from a frat, going to do? are they going to have a freakout where suddenly they have to side with the non white fellas against the ginger slut?

      • The Other Kevin

Alito has recused himself, leaving only eight justices to decide the dispute. Alito’s financial disclosures show that he owns stock in several oil and gas companies, although not ExxonMobil or Suncor.

He can’t possibly be the only one that owns oil and gas stock. None of the other Justices even have an index fund?

Day II: Spent about four minutes in The Vault yesterday, and we shall see how it goes today. Likely more paperwork and online ‘training.’ No sexual harassment training yet! Again, we shall see!

Rock on, cupcakes, and those of you who identify as radishes or other handsy foods.

      • AlexinCT

I was once, more than 30 years ago, right at the start of this stupid training fad, made to take sexual harassment training because to senior VPs had been caught in scandalous behavior at GE. Seems he took a sample sound activated video recording device his line was responsible for and put it in the female VPs bedroom to record her in action. Anyway, he got caught retrieving the tapes or something, and there was a major scandal where he got fired and she got a YUGE settlement, but all us rubes now had to go get sekshual harassment training.

Anyway, I walked into the training area, saw the hot lady that was teaching it, decided to crack a joke, and asked who I needed to harass to get back to work. My manager made me retake the class after that shrew complained.

Katy Inzer, 46, committed the lewd act shortly after takeoff on an American Airlines evening flight on September 11, according to an incident report filed by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

A fellow passenger had complained to a flight attendant that Inzer had “remove(d) her pants and began to actively masturbate while making inappropriate sounds,” the report said.

Wanted to ask quick question here. How many of you believe the blue/green/purple haired nose pierced, tattooed land whales that hate Trump with a passion, whether they admit it or not, are simply acting out because Hillary Clinton still lost the rigged 2016 election to Trump, and they see Trump as the guy that impeded not just that stupid hag, but their follow up whore, Kah-mah-luh?

At this point, after the Lindsey Clancy and this Cornell 7 shitshows, I know I will not ever vote for a woman president. Not even if it was Margaret Thatcher.

      • R.J.

Agreed. Most of them are familiar with barely 10 years of history. In interviews they can’t even quantify their complaints. Mostly what we are seeing is a crisis of mental health which manifested around the nearest opposition to thee progressive ideology – Donald Trump.
He’s not even that opposed to progressive thought. What I would the crazies do if he was actually a small government conservative?

    • Not Adahn

Doubtful they have sufficient introspection to identify any motivation.

    • Common Tater

It’s the algorithms. Everything they read Trump is a rapist nazi pedophile racist.

By failing to pass national election reform legislation, the Republicans have endangered the possibility of ever fixing this.

They have built a machine that works. At one time elections had to be razor thin to rig. But then they got computerized and had huge NGO organizations to leverage. It makes rigging elections with fairly large swings possible.

For those who think this is conspiracy theory nonsense, let me offer the example of Broward County Florida.

I know of this because I moved here shortly after the famous Hanging Chad election of 2000. Our election supervisor was Brenda Snipes.

Florida was a swing state that often went for the Dems, all on the strength of Broward and Palm Beach counties. Huge population centers with large numbers of New York and New Jersey transplants. People who brought there politics… and their political systems… to South Florida.

And there was a pattern. Every election, the entire state would have their vote reported by late evening, say 11pm at the latest. Even the panhandle, where polls close an hour later.

But not Broward and Palm Beach. They would still be sitting at 3% reporting.

And magically, the results from these 2 counties would flip a huge republican lead into a Democrat win.

    Until….

Florida Governor Rick Scott removed Brenda Snipes.

A republican appointee came in and magically all of that went away.

The vote was counted as soon as the polls closed.

    As it should be.

We have had computer scanners tallying votes since I have lived here. Every vote gets tallied as it is cast. The only possible reason for broward to sit at 3% at 4am was to give them time to find out how many votes they need and place the fake ballots.

Knowing that you need 20,000 votes and knowing every name who voted – and every registered voter who didnt vote and their demographics – makes this process fairly easy. The slow step is filling out 20,000 ballots.

But Scott eliminated this possibility with his new election supervisor.

And the results speak for themselves. Broward reports immediately, and Florida is no longer a swing state.

    SMASH

Tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets across France on Tuesday, as unions and teachers joined high school students who for days have been demanding better learning conditions in protests punctuated by violent confrontations.

    ——-

“Gen Z has risen up and wants to be heard,” 19-year-old Lilia told AFP at a massive march in central Paris, adding she hoped the president would listen.

The unrest has erupted with just months to go before the 2027 election to choose a successor to centrist President Emmanuel Macron, with far-right veteran candidate Marine Le Pen riding high in the polls despite a graft conviction.

“I’m afraid for my future,” Selma, 15, told AFP without giving her surname, among the thousands marching in the country’s second largest city of Marseille.

Le Pen will close all the schools and put the children to work in the coal mines.

    • R.J.

I certainly agree with sending all the violent kids and their parents to the coal mines. Then the remaining kids will have good school conditions and everyone will have enough coal to stay warm this winter.

“A British banker who revealed links between Jeffrey Epstein and US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick died from hanging in Thailand, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Simon Andriesz was found dead in a town just outside Bangkok on the morning of September 23.

The whistleblower had claimed his former employer Mr Lutnick – a key aide of Donald Trump – failed to disclose a business relationship with the paedophile financier.

The banker uncovered emails from 2018 which he claimed showed Mr Lutnick and Epstein were discussing a start-up business in which they had involvement.”
