The Dodgers went up 2-1in their series while the Padres stayed alive in theirs, Four games today, with every game potentially ending the series. Coco Gauff lost a match and then appeared to blame social media. The USMNT beat Canada at the end of the lengthy international window to show who runs the roost at CONCACAF after demolishing Mexico the other day. And the NHL season is in full swing. Enjoy hockey, even if it feels a bit too early to me. That’s it for sports.
I assume we’re all supposed to be freaking out. Especially with the midterms right around the corner.
Well, maybe the agency just shouldn’t exist. The FBI exists, in the case of lawbreaking. Also, if it’s an executive agency, then they work for the executive branch and the person heading that branch should be able to hire or fire whoever he wants. Sorry, people complaining. You played yourselves.
Get a load of this fucking guy. He very clearly doesn’t know what “free” means. I hope he enjoys his riots.
This gets more retarded by the day. Which should have been expected.
Good. Fuck that guy. I hope they all aim low and shoot him in the dick.
I’m glad this didn’t happen in America. Because it would be to top story every minute of the day along with the “Cornell 7.”. And also because it’s good to see another country be completely absorbed with some retarded story that doesn’t impact their daily lives.
Well this is a shock. She’s never gonna finish nursing school acting this way. Or whatever strippers are saying now, I haven’t been keeping up.
I think they’re screwed. not because it’s ugly or anything (although I think it kind of is). But because they’ve already ruined their brand and if they were gonna come back, they needed to do something different than this…like drop a V12 into a sports car. I also just saw this. Which pisses me off 100x as much as the other article does.
One freaking charge? You know, between this and all the other scams being exposed, I think we’d balance our budget if the fraud all stopped.
Some people just hate good, clean fun. California, you suck.
Sure, but for how long? Hopefully for a while. I bet this isn’t the second track you were expecting. I apologize for nothing. Enjoy them both.
And enjoy this lovely Wednesday, dear friends.

Macron trashes American free speech as riots grip France
But remember, Europe ranks above America in free speech according to experts.
“War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”
A hallmark of the left is to reverse the actual meaning of words in order to exert control. So now free speech isn’t free, but controlled speech is.
Damn that American Free Speech for riling up the fine, very French, youths.
That guy is such a piece of work I can’t even.
I disagree that he’s a piece of work. This is France, where they don’t actually work.
He works, if he doesn’t his
wifemommy beats him up.as the official European I can vouch for that.
Posted the other night, but just a reminder that the UK is arresting 30 people or so per day for speech related crimes.
“Elise Mertens beats petty media darling” would be a better headline.
That’s racist, Ted’S.
Why do you hate White people?

“Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East”
Sounds like they are up to no good.
Based on people’s pre-conceived notions about Russia on the one hand and the people who manipulated covid on the other, this is going to be lit.
Could a man clad in body armor and presumably prosthetic buttocks successfully take on a 6-foot-tall “Terminator”-like robot in hand-to-hand combat?
Did he also wear a prosthetic forehead?
Everybody wears prosthetic foreheads.
Like the Klingons on ST:TNG?
Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads.
I’m kind of with California on this one. That fight will be fatal for him.
I think a human vs robot gladiator match would be great for executions. If we’re going to be a declining empire, might as well go whole hog.
So strap-on or trans? Or is that some legal term for oral sex?
Ya its both anal and oral in legal definition. So his claim is most likely she forced her mouth on his dick.
there was a George Carlin bit
“you know what you rarely hear a man telling a woman? stop sucking my dick or I’ll call the cops!”
Or a finger up the ass.
Neph probably has the correct idea.
“The woman at the center of the case, an undergraduate student identified only as Jane Doe, originally made a complaint to campus police in November 2024, three weeks after the incident occurred, that she had been raped by 8-10 men at the Chi Phi fraternity house.”
https://abcnews.com/US/cornell-police-received-tip-chi-phi-fraternity-seeking/story?id=137009526
8 to 10 men? Then you follow that link
“During the final threesome, Jane Doe said, “I remember being totally disgusted at the situation, and I felt very tired and intoxicated. I would say that my level of overall intoxication was about a 8 out of 10 level of intoxicated. I would say that it was the most intoxicated I’ve ever been in my life. I felt like I was unable to make any decision because of how intoxicated I was,” the statement said.”
https://abcnews.com/US/cornell-student-encounter-fraternity-house-felt-coercion-2024/story?id=136876885
Maybe news outlets shouldn’t be owned by companies famous for fairy tales.
So her defense is essentially “I had done so many dick dingers, I was out of my right mind.”
I think the new legal standard has to be whoever pukes first is the most intoxicated and therefore incapacitated. Then instead of he said, she said it will just be who puked first.
Makes sense to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Does the fight end when one of their heads pops up?
Rock’em, sock’em retards?
“The affidavit does not explain what those earlier reports involved, so the records alone do not establish that she had previously been accused of a crime.”
Just go with the face tattoos.
Wait. This is a case where the stripper DOES want to fuck you?
How can you have a Boxster without a flat engine?
Nothing’s stopping you from putting a Fiat engine in your Porsche.
Struck by lightening? Turned into a pillar of salt?
The good news is the Fiat engine can be removed from the Fiat just by brushing the pile of rust away.
You just LS swap it. Works just fine and you get an appreciable increase in power.
One of the more interesting swaps I ever saw was a Chevy 4.3 V6 into a Gremlin. It was respectable at the 1/4 track.
Jesus H Tiddy Fuckin’ Christ! That is worse than putting a (spits) Chevy motor in a Jag!
Might as well pull all of your teeth and start watching NASCAR.
(years ago, a friend who was into the “tuner” scene was always talking about putting a bigger Toyota engine into a Lotus Elise. Until he was given a ride in a stock Elise by a factory rep from Lotus, who showed him what real driving was, and how a Lotus is all about holding speed going into a turn, rather than powering out. I think he soiled himself on that ride.)
Leaving for Day Three at work soon, and am pleased it’s going well! I wonder/hope we’ll have more Vault-Time (that’s what the kids are calling it, ya hear?) to get into rhythm. There were at least a dozen of us in there yesterday. The people seem chill, and the job manageable. Tally ho, fabled explorers!
Keep it up, EV.
I don’t think a human is a match for an android, but how about gorillas?
Tater, I’ve got some news for you – An android can be built to be weaker than a human. The strength of the servos and structure are all up to the engineer building it.
Even if the engineer initially designs it to be stronger than the human, some asshole in accounting will decide to save 3 cents a unit by having the servos built in China, and some connected CEO in China will replace the steel gears with vinyl ones.
I’m waiting for the old EMP in the shorts trick while the ref isn’t looking.
This gets more retarded by the day. Which should have been expected.
“But you can’t hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn’t we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn’t this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg – isn’t this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we’re not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!”
*golf clap*
Why stop at “American society”? Ban humans.
The issue here is not whether they broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with female party guests – they did.
I’m perfectly fine blaming the college systems for fraternities. Do they exist without colleges? No? Then it’s the colleges that are to blame!
Yeah, unlike the president of Cornell, I’m not lying awake at night or shedding any tears over these developments. The whole system is a cock-up.
[Masons side eye nervously]
Block has said the security firm acted of its own accord, and that her mother, who died about nine months before the abduction, paid for the operation which is thought to have cost hundreds of thousands of euros and to have been months in the planning.
Block is also accused of contracting the same firm to plant bogus child sexual abuse images on Hensel’s property in an attempt to frame him as a child abuser. She also denies this charge.
Hoo boy — this one’s a properly unhinged piece of work. Can’t wait to see the courtroom histrionics when accountability arrives.
Plot twist, she regains custody and then the double murder/suicide so they can all be together forever.
And consistent with the current trend she somehow manages to not actually succeed in killing herself, and the mob insists she is not to be held accountable.
Probably, but the timing is off. Should have rolled this one out at least a month ago.
I believe this one is more serious than that COVID BS. We aren’t in bed with Russia, so that knocks off a lot of the fear that it is a set up.
See what happens when there is independent research!
These fuckers really are gonna kill us all.
The UK is one of the most expensive countries to build infrastructure in the world. Banning diesel construction vehicles will needlessly further increase the cost of this already pricey project

fossil fuel propaganda is getting desperate. battery operated heavy equipment is just as good as diesel.
Look, you can’t put a price on the thrill all the pols patting each other on the back for their purity will enjoy.
The UK closed, I think, three of it’s four refineries, and the forth is due for maintenance closures. They don’t have very much in reserve, as they planned to import it from France and the US, just leaving 45 days worth, or something like that. The EU, on the other hand, has around two years worth stocked away, so they can weather the storm on this.
I larfed.

She’s terrible but we have actual link to the alleged charges?
Carrying a pistol without a license.
Never talk to the police.
The U.S. Park Police said in an emailed statement that the officer observed an empty holster in the rear of the vehicle and asked if there was a firearm inside and Noonan confirmed there was. Noonan was off duty, not in uniform and driving his personal vehicle at the time, the statement said.
Later in the article:
According to the complaint, Noonan was charged with carrying a pistol without a license.
Noonan had his first court appearance on Sept. 29 in D.C. Superior Court. A phone call left at the main number of the Superior Court public defender’s office to reach his court-appointed attorney was not returned. An email to the attorney was not immediately answered.
Thanks DEG.
So they dogpiled a stop for an expired tag? JFC. We have way too many cops of all flavors in this country.
As near as I can tell, he had the gun in the car, not on his person. Crap reporting, so its hard to say.
Ya it also conflates license with concealed carry.
Easy fix is nationwide open carry of course.
As near as I can tell, he had the gun in the car, not on his person. Crap reporting, so its hard to say.
That was my thought. I wonder if the claim is that being in his car it is either “about his person” or being carried outside his residence.
As near as I can tell, he had the gun in the car, not on his person. Crap reporting, so its hard to say.
In NJ, that means it was in his control and possession, which counts as carrying. I would guess DC is pretty similar in their anti-gun idiocy.

I agree. OK should pull their entire NG contingent out of DC.
If only Republicans controlled Congress and the Presidency, we could get national reciprocity.
We can’t even get secure elections, which is an 80-20 issue. The Republicans may not be as destructive as the Dems, but they are useless shits.
The point about election reform is really pissing me off. *Everyone* knows we are screwed if this doesnt get fixed, and they went with some hand-wavey window dressing that they never intended on passing.
Screw them and the horse they rode in on.
Reform my ass, we need to remove at least half the voting eligible populace from eligibility. Far too many stupid people have a vote that is absolutely equal to mine (and in fairness, vice versa).
It took a while, but the Cornell memes are starting to arrive.
I am still not sure that is the correct chick in the picture.

Jeffrey Tucker on symphonies and ritual
The head of the Hartford Symphony came out on stage for the opening concert of the season to give everyone a quick talk. He suggested that people consider buying full season tickets. It’s not just about saving money on purchases. It’s about having a routine, knowing that there is a concert calling next week, building in a ritual that is binding in some way.
More than that, he said, we live in times that are being gravely threatened by dehumanization. We interact more with digital systems than with people. But at the symphony, he said, there are real people, musicians who have mastered their instruments through thousands of hours of practice, and they are playing physical things.
There are bows drawn on gut and steel strings, real cymbals clanging together, mallets hitting drums, lungs powering brass, and a harpist using hands and figures to make the sounds of heaven appear before us. A season ticket shows your loyalty to the humane arts, to the beautiful, to the truth, to the analog world of genuine human achievement.
I sat there listening with an overwhelming sense that he was exactly right. For I, for the first time in my life, have purchased season tickets to this very venue. When they arrived, I flipped through the book of events and felt a great deal of excitement. They now sit in a drawer ready to be pulled out for the next concert and the next, as if this paper is concealing and then plans to reveal some of the highest achievements in the history of man.
I gotta say, that’s a pretty good pitch for season tickets.
Agreed.
I’ll stick with my Browns season tickets, they put out a product I enjoy more than most orchestras.
Neph, his plea transfers quite well into your choice of entertainment also.
Just wait until they do their “tribute to trans night” or “songs popular in the USSR night”.
Neph, his plea transfers quite well into your choice of entertainment also.
Yes.
It’s really a piece about ritual and the human connection you build attending the rituals. Tucker writes about the symphony and in the past, Mass; however, what he is writing about applies just as well to sports fans attending games or getting a group together to watch a game.
OBE is right, buying into any live entertainment fully, whether sports or music, shows commitment to the actual form of it, and helps ensure, although it doesn’t guarantee, it perpetuation.
On a related note, I think in the coming years entertainment, and political speeches for that matter, will really only resonate with people when they see them live. Too much of our lived world is being taken over by AI Bots, and people will place a premium on what they can truly experience and see with “their own lyin’ eyes.”
DEG/OBE:
The difference being to fit in among the sports fans, you need basic knowledge of the sport (optional) and clothes in the right color. That guy passing you a flask in the stands may be a C-level executive, a college student, or a day laborer. It’ll be Irish whiskey at best, and you will have a sip in solidarity. Low barrier to entry, and high energy (from memory, noise levels at the last two games were 104+ db and 110+ db).
Just because you don’t like or understand the culture behind it doesn’t mean it isn’t a culture.
Just because you don’t like or understand the culture behind it doesn’t mean it isn’t a culture.
You are completely misreading what we are saying.
DEG:
I think I was unclear. I was adding on to what you two were saying against Tucker (and the like) pushing high-class culture events as good while claiming America has no culture.

One plane traversing the ramp to its taxi point clipped another being towed in, just short of it’s assigned gate.
Still kinda fucks up the aircraft, I would assume…
Eh, they just winged ’em…
Also, again, fantastic ball games, esp the Padres. The Brewers are so good, damn. I do want them to win, them or the Rays. Small markets showing how it’s done.
Cubs did so well without Steele, Horton AND Brown. Counsell is very good at his job.
It has been a good set of division games. My wife might be an even bigger baseball fan than you, so I tend to see every game during the season, especially with the possibility of a lockout next year.

CIA guy confuses me.
He embezzles $200 million, and is presumably being paid by foreign governments for the Intel he provides….
And he keeps $40+ million in gold bars at his house?
And he stays here in the US?????
Dude.
I get it if he thought $2 million wasnt enough and kept the spigot going.
Or even $10 million.
But at some point as you creep past $100 million, dont you have to think “wow, I could have a lavish, king-like lifestyle in some foreign country and not worry too much about getting caught?
How can you be smart enough to get away with that much and dumb enough to have $40 million in gold in the house???
Maybe he assumed there was lower hanging fruit and with our past record of not really looking for fraud, he was in the clear?
Presumably he was a white or model minority and not a protected class like a Somali. They were totally going to rail him in the ass at some point. Especially when we’re talking about hoarding gold like that.
Considering his plea deal he sounds like he has something in the hole that the govt REALLY doesn’t want exposed.
Good point.
People get worse treatment for flipping a cop off, which isnt even a crime.
Pretty insane.
It seems like he wasn’t selling information to foreign governments. He was setting up fake intel operations and pocketing the cash that was supposed to be funding them.
Either way, he should be shot in the head, and the entire CIA should be shut down and replaced over this.
Over this? I mean we have decades of shit that’s worse than one asshole raiding the treasury. At least he wasn’t acting as a drug lord.
Gotta start somewhere Bro
At least he wasn’t acting as a drug lord.
Ehem, that’s honest work compared to intel and embezzlement.
Or… and hear me out on this….
Or… *we* could set up a Beer and Hookers operation and get paid hundreds of millions by the CIA. Just sayin’…
I mean, we have some good creatives around here. Mojeaux could write up some scenarios. SugarFree could do the scary intel reports about how bad the (insert target of interest) are.
We could get a compound!
Yeah, that’s the ticket!! You gotta have a compound. With a wall, and out-buildings, and lots of vehicles…
Like, a whole bunch of 4×4 Razor type things. The really suped up ones that go way too fast and are super dangerous. And some earth moving equipment….
Ooh, and a pool with a hot tub! The kind with a waterfall into the pool!
Yeah….
That’s how ya do it…
The CIA respects people who have a compound.
They would totally fund that.
Do you want the next Dem attorney general to set us on fire, Cyto? ‘Cause that is how you get set on fire!
There are indeed, a lot of things that should have resulted in the CIA being gone through with a flamethrower, going back to Angleton and probably before.
I met and worked with a lot of good people there, and I won’t deny that any nation-state needs a competent foreign intelligence service if it’s going to survive. But when you have as many rotten apples in the barrel as the Agency has had…you really need to look at the barrel.
I won’t deny that any nation-state needs a competent foreign intelligence service
Hmm, which one did we have prior to WWII? Each service had an intel component, sure, but nothing like NSA/CIA.
Other examples in the suit: One motorcyclist told an ER he injured an ankle jumping off his bike to avoid a car. A few months ago my wife was in an accident, a guy in a box truck hit her from behind while she was stopped. Well… the grooming is repellent but aren’t there already “watchdog” organizations that can warn parents about this junk? Gummint should not be involved at all.
My objection is this junk shouldn’t exist in the first place.
But it will, unless you ban it. I don’t want to give the government more power.
I am torn on the context. The Three Stooges spent a lot of time in dresses as comedy relief. Curly in a dress is not sexually confusing to anyone. This could be the same thing. Not everything is saturated in the latest cultural fire. As such I do not want the government involved.
Regarding Fort Hood shooter getting the firing squad – I guarantee that there are a lot of people on that base fighting to get on that detail. Is it a detail? I’d figure it’s a detail.
It should go to a national lottery of citizens.
Can you just let the guys serving have something?
Should be one guy, running a Ma Deuce.
Meant to add:
on pay-per-view.
Why limit it? I mean, sure, a traditional firing squad is like a half-dozen or so. But there is no reason to limit it.
You could take him to the range, put him out at 50 yards and let a hundred guys in on it.
Sure, it would be gross. But, being that I oppose the death penalty on moral grounds even when they totally deserve it like this guy, that isnt a bad thing. Video the results of a hundred rounds and people might abolish the death penalty.
And you damned sure would think twice about trying to commit mass murder.
Hanging would be more appropriate, imo.
But if it’s gonna be a firing of anything, it needs to be British-style “blown from a gun” execution like in the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 (etc.).
Have a trebuchet toss him a couple of hundred yards.
Into a wall, I assume.
I bet they get zero volunteers. Killing someone in combat is much different that executing someone.

In the Nov. 15, 2024, statement, she appeared to suggest some of the activity was consensual but detailed multiple instances where she declined to participate in certain sexual acts suggested by the men.
The woman’s statement was central to a decision by the Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten not to bring charges in 2024 and he said that the allegations in the civil suit are “dramatically different” than those in the statement.
Statement? Made where? To whom?

By the time she woke up that Sunday afternoon, “I was made aware that what had happened to me at Chi Phi was becoming public knowledge,” she wrote in the statement. “It was made clear to me by several friends that the members of Chi Phi were bragging about having an ‘eightsome’ with me. Some rumors said it was ten people, but nonetheless, it was now obvious that everyone knew it was me that this had happened to.”
Not “What I did” but “What was done to me”.

This is one thing I find annoying. Everything is a filtered slow drip. A pdf of her lawsuit is online, but her statement to the police, transcripts of the Title IX hearings, text chains, recordings, etc. All of it should be released.
All of it should be released.

My answer is simple. There are hundreds of thousands of Bavarians who love the Oktoberfest, and who look forward to it all year. If it’s ‘authentic’ enough for them, it’s authentic enough for me. (I also think ‘authenticity’ is overrated anyway, but that’s a subject for another article.) Yes, there are Bavarian traditionalists who decry what they call the ‘Ballermannification’ of the festival (the ‘Ballermann’ being a rowdy party district of Mallorca, comparable to Magaluf). But this is more of an intergenerational conflict than a matter of authenticity vs inauthenticity.
In this article, I’ll present four festivals which I have visited in the last two years, and which I can unreservedly recommend to the booze-minded reader.
The Augsburger Plärrer: the Oktoberfest’s little brother
The city of Augsburg occupies a special place in the beer atlas. It should be a pilgrimage site for beer aficionados, and I’m sure it is for some.
The Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt: imagine the Oktoberfest, but in wine
‘What’s the biggest beer festival in the world?’ would be a terrible pub quiz question, since the answer would be far too obvious. Now try ‘What’s the biggest wine festival in the world?’, and see how many get that one right.
The Fünf-Seidla-Steig in Franconia
The inclusion of Franconia’s Five-Seidla-Hike in this article is, admittedly, cheating a little, because the Five-Seidla-Hike is not an ‘event’ as such. It is a hiking trail through forests, meadows, fields and villages, which connects five small breweries with taprooms and beer gardens.
The Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt: imagine the Oktoberfest, but in wine
I know someone that went to Bad Dürkheim for the wine festival. He called it “Bad Drunk Time” because they serve wine in half liter glasses that are meant to be shared. No one shares them.
Why have I not followed this person?
The raw interview transcript with Cornell police exists – they only sent a summary to the DA. There are significant discrepancies.
At different times with different people, I believe. It would be fascinating to see how the story changed over time, and see how much coaching there was on the part of the interviewers.
The bottom line is, at the time, the DA saw no chance of successfully pursuing the thing.
But now the passage of time has re-written and embellished the story…
Angry Cops covered this issue in great detail.
People making statements ramble on and on. They frequently repeat themselves and focus on personal feelings and emotional reactions that do nothing to proved a crime has been committed.
The officer summarizes the lengthy conversation and only documents things in the written statement that provide direct evidence to support a criminal charge being filed.
THEY IGNORE THE FEELZ!!! The horror (so appropriate for a late Weds morning).

ABC is ridiculous. They play a recording, but only allow the voice of one of the frat bros, but the accuser’s speech is read by a male announcer.
JLR CEO PB Balaji described the unveiling of Type 01 as the start of “an exciting new era” for Jaguar.
“Combining British heritage, bold creativity, advanced technology and groundbreaking engineering, it reflects our ambition to create objects of desire that will help us invite a new generation of clients into Jaguar’s loyal and passionate customer base,” Balaji said in a statement.
I’d say the people who created the C-type are rolling in their graves.

one of those dumb channels doing walking tours of cities. this is Bucharest in summer.
Okay. You’re at a party. You’re having fun; talking, laughing, wallowing in your own coolness. And then you begin to become aware that one of your friends is going a little too hard. Heading off the rails, so to speak. So you start to keep an eye on the situation. At some point, you might even take that person under your wing and drag them home before they get in too much trouble. I’ve done it. I bet everybody here has done it.
Didn’t any of those Cornell losers have friends?
They lived at the Frat House where the consentual events took place.
