I get the mistrust but not willing to receive new info that the US Navy deployed drones to mark potential mines and private companies clearing them as reported by Axios, seems odd.
No ships is perfectly consistent with sending drones instead. And in the modern day and age, naval drones is a naval presence.
I rate the probability of Iran disarming their only remaining strategic asset by removing mines from the Strait as vanishingly low. I am seeing that shipping volume through the Strait is way up recently, which means somebody removed the mines.

I’m going to take a wild guess. It’s because she drove into a pool.
If you look at the photo, the car isn’t even submerged, so you can see it’s possible she didn’t drown. Something happened before the car ended up in the pool.
The car is deep enough that she could have drowned while unconscious. Or her husband could have poisoned her.
We’ll never know.
To my eye the water line goes from the top of the windshield to the middle of the bottom of the window on the rear door. That is definately enough for someone to drown in. But as mentioned, she could have been dead/incapacitated before it hit the water. From the available data I can’t rule out anything other than there was a fatality and there was a vehicle in a pool.

The mask has been removed. We suspected something with Bush the Lesser. Obama was clearly a fake person in every aspect, spouting platitudes while governing in was utterly incongruous with his rhetoric.
But Biden and Trump teamed up to rend the veil in ways that cannot be ignored. The anger at Trump from both sides of the uniparty was so over-the-top that one had to wonder what the common motivation was. My take is that the real root of the problem is that Trump was under the delusion that the President was actually in charge of the executive branch.
Vanneman confirmed this with his impeachment testimony- he said he flagged the conversation Trump had with Ukraine because Trump didnt say what he had told him to say. This, he said, was an impeachable offense.
Then came Biden. Oh, they were happy with Biden. He toddled out and said what he was told to say – going so far as to often say “they wont let me answer questions” or “they told me to say…”
I have become convinced that the bureaucracy and the corporate money call all of the shots, and our elected officials are merely avatars for fundraising and putting a name to the seat. In return, they get a modicum of power and the ability to steer a share of the graft to their cohort.

I just got contacted by my PD. See first I have to give the DPRNJ $21. They do the crazy/criminal checks. I cleared that.
Now the state also gives the local PD $25 per pistol permission slip for processing. I had to mail them $50 for my 2x request. No way to pay electronically. Other option was go to the station and pay in cash.
After they get my check – the chief has to push a button and the state will give me my permission slips. Good for 180 days. Also only one purchase every 30 days. It’s how we keep the state safe!
I’m hoping end of the week I’ll have my paperwork. Only thing I can say is that the detective in my town who handles this actually seems like he wants to properly do this as quickly and pleasantly as possible. He’s been both nice and professional.
Although some towns in NJ the PD will accept credit card payment. My town does, which makes it a bit easier and faster.

The obvious CZ comparison as an alternate to the G43X is the CZ P10C.
The others you listed are great, but they’re DA/SA. We’re in a transition period where the remaining non-optics cut P10s are dirt cheap, and optics ready models are availible.
I’ve had terrible luck with sewing machines. they jam, get snarled, and just fight me. Obviously the problem is I’m not very good at using them, but “runs like a swing machine” conjures images of trying to disentangle thread from machinery.
I’ve been shooting my optics gun all season because of the nationals I’m attending this year.
I played with my OG S2 last night and it’s impressive how much an extra 10k rounds improves the trigger on an otherwise identical gun.

I think the fundamental mistake they made at the outset was a really stupid one:

I read something that was very clarifying for me. The first Ayatollah put the revolution first, and any political or infrastructure issues were a distant second. I did a seminar at the Savanna River Nuclear Site. They use cooling ponds to progressively cool the reactor water.
The 1st pool is really hot. They have double fences with razor wire and all sorts of biohazard warnings. It is full of this amoeba. We were suitably afraid of going over there. If the guys who walk around inside the reactor room say “watch out for that pond. I dont go near there”, it gets your attention.

I took the family there a couple years ago. It is a good mix of rides, shows, dining, and shopping.
We were in that area a few years ago for spring break and passed on it. Maybe a mistake but we were kind of down with chilling out at the cabin and visiting the Smoky Mountains. Drove through Gatlinburg which was horrible. (It’s a beautiful place but it was overloaded with tourists at that time)

The Trump administration said it may need to demolish the Kennedy Center if a plan to close the building for two years as part of a controversial renovation project pushed by President Trump and the organization’s board of trustees is blocked by a federal judge.
In a Tuesday court filing, the Justice Department said the center’s “dangerously dilapidated, outdated, and decrepit” conditions, in addition to millions in financial losses, put the living memorial to President John F. Kennedy in a “financial and structural death spiral” that will require it to close for renovations.
“Without those efforts, the Center will deteriorate further into an unsafe, decrepit structure that will be required to be taken down, with a determination to follow on what to build on the site, such as a large outdoor amphitheater overlooking the Potomac River that has been proposed, by some, for many years,” lawyers for the federal government wrote.
He should try that with the Iranians.
Comply with the injunction. Close the building “for safety reasons”. Let it rot (I guarantee if it is fully closed for two years, it will rot). Get a building inspector to condemn it.

U.S. District Judge David Hittner, a Reagan appointee, said the measure, known as Texas Senate Bill 12, improperly restricted speech, violating the First Amendment of the Constitution. The ruling prevents state Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is running for the Senate, from enforcing the law and denies his motion for a new trial.
In the ruling, Hittner also had advice for “those who find such activities as described in this case offensive.”
“The solution is relatively simple … just don’t go,” he wrote.
I’d be more impressed if I expected this to hold equally true for Nazi rallies and Klan meetings.

I read the article, and another linked article, and I still can’t figure out how this law specifically bans drag shows?
And I see that the judge that tried to block the new Post Office rules for absentee ballots before they were even final (struck down by SCOTUS because courts never block proposed rules) took less than a day to block the final rules.
She should, of course, be removed from office, but will enjoy, I am sure, decades of issuing curry commie rulings from the federal bench.
Was the final rule blocked? Not clear from the linked article, but it seems to say that “The meanies at the post office continued working on implementing the final rule despite my injunction, thus violating some rule somewhere.” But there was no remedy, e.g. going after the post office, nor a ruling that the final rule was now… ‘injuncted’. Did that happen elsewhere or after that initial statement? Or does it have to start over now with some (made up) standing now the that the rules are ‘final’?
