While I must vehemently disagree with his methods (hi NSA) I cannot help but think the man was on to something as we progress further into whatever you want to call this reality.

This is my review of Paperback Brewing Weird Science West Coat Hoppy Pilsner:

Okay, so the idea of chatbots are nothing new for this group.  Rule 34 is also nothing new.  The combination of the two is now commercially available!  This is not surprising at all, right?  Science fiction has long dabbled in the idea AI and robots will eventually get to a point where it can replace your spouse with something much more reasonable.

The idea is now mainstream enough to be covered by Forbes.  Which means wealthy boomers are going to invest their time and money into this for financial gain.  Ethical considerations include putting Elizabeth Nolan Brown out of work (TW: The Conversation), but on a more serious note means the absolute worst examples of sexual impulse can be attended to without harming others.  Once its made its made, and distinguishing between reality and machine created fantasy becomes impossible.  Does it then become a de facto acceptance of things society has found absolutely abhorrent for thousands of years?  Seriously, even Bonobos follow the taboo of not fornicating with their own mother.

In the end though, this might be what actually drives AI to commercial success.  Consider other technologies like VHS, 3D visual displays, or even the internet itself and what it really was that got people to buy it.  I recall being part of a group of Airmen when the Tech Sergeant that moonlighted at the local Best Buy had something cool to show us.  We circled around him marveling at the first generation iPhone—we were in fact watching porn.

Am I suggesting we accept some sort of Matt Walsh style Christian Dystopia in order to stop this?  Judas Priest, NO.  I’m just saying, this shit is getting weird (NSFW).

While I did write somewhat fondly about the idea of Pilsners hopped with hop varieties typically used in IPA, my next foray into it was not quite as pleasant.  This one arguably overdoes it.  They also stray away from the more fruity varieties that are more popular in the summer.  So once again, we are left with IPA and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race, but they at least get points for the artwork.
